Now lately, I have been getting hooked on Venezuelan food, but I was disappointed in the food here. The ladies were very nice and pleasant to talk with. The location is very cool and i love the vibe there. But I probably wont go back to this place to eat.

This location of Azucar is located in the Garage next to bottle works. I think it's in a prime location as this half of the Garage seems to stay packed. First I want to say is the cashier seemed so genuinely happy and was really nice. I ordered the 6 mini empanadas because I wanted to try out a few other vendors and I got 2 chicken, 2 cheese, and 2 beef and it was the perfect size and price. They were hot and tasty but I would have loved to tasted a little spice with the chicken. I would highly recommend this to add to your samplings at the Garage.

We ordered some empanadas, specifically mini chicken and beef. They tasted great with the sauce. The service was quick, and it wasn't very busy when we arrived.

This place is good, but not the best Venezuelan food in Indy. I got the arepa pabellón, and it was OK. However, this place has a really expansive menu for how big it it. It's in the bottle works garage on Mass Ave. They have several types of arepas and cachapas on the menu. Definitely a great place to try some different types of Venezuelan food! The bottleworks is in a walkable area, it's easy to bike to, and they have lots of parking nearby. This place is definitely worth a try! Especially, if you haven't had much Venezuelan food before.

Pretty solid arepa place located inside the AMP in Indy. Tried 2 different arepas liked the chicken and chorizo a little better than the beef. I will say this, there is no skimping on the portion sizes. My local arepa place in Detroit makes them a little smaller. I was surprised how big these were. No complaints about leftovers for later.

I've had this place on my list for a while and I'm so glad I finally stopped in, it was delicious. I had the Reina Pepeada arepa with a side of chimichurri sauce with an orange passion fruit juice. It was my first time trying an arepa and it won't be my last. It was super stuffed with chicken, avocado, and cilantro. I added a side of chimichurri sauce which was actually my favorite part. The juice was light and fresh. The food was all delicious and the staff were friendly as well. It was

An advertisement for Azucar and their "GF pancake" popped up on social media and I knew I had to try it. We were headed to the garage food hall anyway. It was recommended to get the cachapa. After seeing photos, I think I should have tried the arepa instead. I got the chicken and was told it would take about 12-13 minutes to cook. It was loaded, that's for sure. The reason for the few stars is because there were silver/gray like things throughout the chicken. I'll admit I'm a little weird about chicken I don't cook as is, but I couldn't bring myself to eat the chicken once I saw it. I ate the pancake and pico. It was good, but I had somewhat lost my appetite. I'll be back to try the arepa but I do plan to stay far away from the chicken.

I had lunch here on a weekday and there were about 4 people in line ahead of me which almost sent me elsewhere since I didn't have a ton of time, but the line moved pretty quickly. They are making the food to order so do expect to wait a couple of minutes after ordering, but they are working quickly and it's definitely worth waiting a bit for fresh food! I had the pabellon arepa, and it was delicious! The beef was tender and flavorful and the plantain's sweetness went well with everything else. I went with the side of avocado sauce for 50 cents extra and it was very tasty and went well with the arepa, but honestly, it was probably a teaspoon of sauce so it only went with maybe 1-2 bites of the arepa. Hmmm....I wouldn't even give it a though if they weren't charging extra for it. My suggestion would be to maybe either include a choice of one sauce in the price or increase the portion a bit. The portion of the arepa itself was perfect for a light lunch, but if you're really hungry, you'll probably want to add on something else too. Also, their menu only lists their specialty beverages, and so that's all I thought they had, and I didn't want a juice based drink, so I didn't order anything to drink, but while I was waiting for my order I saw they did have fountain drinks that just weren't listed on the menu. Anyway, I will definitely order an arepa again, but will likely skip ordering a side of sauce and will know next time that I can get a fountain drink here rather than getting one from another establishment at the Garage.

It's just off Allisonville and 96th, with plenty of parking. We could tell right away that there was only one staff member working the register and the grill and the tables (apparently other staff had called off), so we knew there might be a little wait. He kept apologizing, but honestly it did not take that long to get our food. And the food is such a #yum! (Because of a Yelp item, I had a free Pabellon Arepa - it had a really good size portion of shredded beef, beans, cheese, and, my favorite, sweet plantains.) But outside of that, my husband was with me and we ordered more food: The Don Luis bowl (chicken fajita with rice & beans), and a side of fried yuca. We also got a side of tequenos - the delicious little fried cheese sticks wrapped in a thicker dough. Everything was tasty, and we have enough leftovers that I have lunch the next two days! #yum #ReviewsByRL

The Arepas are made to order and are stuffed with meat and cheese. Honestly a great value considering how much food they stuff in there. TLDR: Love it. Visited today for breakfast with a friend, and it wasn't busy when I arrived, but was surprised at how many people arrived as we ate. It was a workday, and I thought there might be some breakfast meetings taking place, but the crowd trickled in a bit later as the morning lingered. Coffee options abound. As do smoothies and 'wellness shots' which aren't my thing but if you'd like a shot of healthy greens and a spice I've never heard of, enjoy! I had black coffee and it tasted better than most breakfast shots. They have a wide variety of lattes and other fancy custom options like the strawberry shortcake latte, etc. Ordered the breakfast burrito (sausage) and it was very good. I think I had the hangover burrito before (same thing but with gravy on top) and would opt for that one again next time. I had the strawberry banana pancakes at a prior visit as well, and remember them fondly. My dining companion had biscuits and gravy and said they were good. He is a man of few words. For dinner, they have a great menu that is 'latin flavors' as they say - everything from traditional Mexican food you'd find elsewhere to Argentinian options and more. They have great food. On a nice day, the patio is great other than the street traffic noise. This is a great option if you're wanting to get away from the other Mexican restaurants in town but still want something along those lines.
