I went to run an errand and noticed a new place to eat that I wanted to try out for lunch, so I went ahead and checked out Caracas Sabroso. This is a new Venezuelan place in the GreenBriar area that serves very good cuisine and it is very unique. The place was deserted when I walked in,but it was in the middle of the day, and did not expect it to be busy. The ambiance was very eclectic and different, but it stood out in a good way, and was very attractive. The woman behind the counter showed me the lunch menu and explained it to me in full detail. I decided to go with the chicken and Pork Venezuelan rice entree. This was incredible!! It came with two small spring rolls on top which were delicious. The rice had great flavor and consistency to it and the chicken/pork combination made the lunch entree even more enjoyable. The lunch entree was also a good size portion for my money, so I was very happy about that as well. Caracas Sabroso is a wonderful new addition to the Greenbriar area, and I will definitely be back here to try something new because the menu is very different and unique unlike other restaurants and the ambiance is very nice and cozy. It is a breath of fresh air that is needed for Greenbriar!!

I'm struggling between a three and four-star review. Quite honestly, if they'd been open a while and I wasn't the first to review, it would probably be three stars, but I want to give them the benefit of the doubt as they have just opened. First, the good: - They've remodeled substantially from the previous dark and bland dining room. It is now vibrant and bright, with a nice counter to see the menu and order. - They have lots of Venezuelan dishes to try. - Staff is friendly and the food comes out reasonably fast. The things that need a little work: - They only have electronic menu boards, no paper menus or QR codes, and the menus change slowly, so you can't see the entire menu as you are trying to order. - I'm not sure if it was a language barrier or an unhelpful attitude, but I couldn't get the cashier to really guide me through the menu or help with my questions. - I'm not sure if she grabbed the wrong empanada or I misunderstood her description, but I asked for the shredded beef empanada and got the ground beef one. While it came with an aioli of some sort, the filling was just beef, fairly flavorless, and very greasy. - The beef we ordered was very dry and wasn't very seasoned. I hope the kitchen can find their footing. The presentation was lovely. - It would be great if they could pivot away from Styrofoam containers for carry out. - I know they are just starting and probably have a lot of start up costs, but the prices relative to what you get is very high. I ordered a small drink that was served with A LOT of ice and it was more than $4. A lunch entree with pretty inexpensive ingredients, a ground beef empanada, and drink was $24. At those prices, we wouldn't be able to go very often.

Food was fantastic. Great flavors! Great services. Very clean and very well run restaurant. Must try!

We really enjoyed the tostones and look forward going back to try more items on the menu soon! The unique location of it being a school bus outside Tractor Supply made this experience feel like a fun little side quest! Enjoy your meal inside the bus or take it to go! Cheers!

Fried sweet plantains are one of my favorite things (and what I miss most about living in Miami may years ago...) So this weekend I finally decided to stop there. How fun to realize that half of the bus is also tables for an actual sit-in dining experience?! What a cute, unique experience. Also I learned they are closed Sunday & Monday, but otherwise there in the week for lunch through dinner. I got there at a perfect time - I was the only person. But they shortly got several more customers as I was there. I was really just going to order fried sweet plantains, but I decided to get the "vegan arepa" with is an arepa with black brands, avocado, and the friend sweet plantains. ($11.50) I'm not vegan / I eat meat, but that combination looked appealing today and would also get me some of the sweet plaintains that I was craving. I got it to go, and it came with a little side of a nice crème sauce, and a little side of red sauce that I very quickly learned was ghost pepper! Which I don't see mention of on the menu, but I heard the other patrons in the bus talking about it. (I will say, I did save the rest of that little contianer ... gonna suffer wth it on some other food, too ...) The food was a #yum! Definitely next time going to go all-in on the sweet plantains, too. #ReviewsByRL

TLDR: Love it. Visited today for breakfast with a friend, and it wasn't busy when I arrived, but was surprised at how many people arrived as we ate. It was a workday, and I thought there might be some breakfast meetings taking place, but the crowd trickled in a bit later as the morning lingered. Coffee options abound. As do smoothies and 'wellness shots' which aren't my thing but if you'd like a shot of healthy greens and a spice I've never heard of, enjoy! I had black coffee and it tasted better than most breakfast shots. They have a wide variety of lattes and other fancy custom options like the strawberry shortcake latte, etc. Ordered the breakfast burrito (sausage) and it was very good. I think I had the hangover burrito before (same thing but with gravy on top) and would opt for that one again next time. I had the strawberry banana pancakes at a prior visit as well, and remember them fondly. My dining companion had biscuits and gravy and said they were good. He is a man of few words. For dinner, they have a great menu that is 'latin flavors' as they say - everything from traditional Mexican food you'd find elsewhere to Argentinian options and more. They have great food. On a nice day, the patio is great other than the street traffic noise. This is a great option if you're wanting to get away from the other Mexican restaurants in town but still want something along those lines.

The food was good but gave me both terrible heartburn and an unpleasant time in the bathroom after digestion. Friendly service but a bit on the slower side. Lovely decor and music in the restaurant. Rather overpriced but the portions are arguably worth it.

Naturally, I pulled up the Yelp app to search for something open nearby for recommendations. Turns out Delicia is one of my friend's boyfriend's favorite restaurant in Broad Ripple. They both frequent the restaurants in that are as they live in the neighborhood so that's definitely saying something and I can see why based on the vibe and atmosphere! We were only there for drinks (which were amazing) and they were definitely worth making another trip for. I ordered the "Pulparindo" which is slightly spicy tamarind vodka, fresh mango puree, raw sugar simple, lime juice and a yummy tajin rim. I would have had more of it wasn't last call when we placed our order. Another popular choice was the "FIRE 'N' Ice" made with el charro jalapeño infused reposado tequila, hibiscus I basil I habanero reduction, tres chiles infused ice ball. Beautiful presentation with all the drinks. Our waitress was great and attentive. I also really liked how I felt instantly in a better mood in that space and I will be going back again for dinner soon.
