This place never fails at service nor the flavors of the food. Unlimited chips and salsa to begin with then a whatever delicious meal you decide upon. The music is always upbeat and enjoyable.

This is quite the hidden gem! I went here once with my husband and then decided to do this review a couple weeks later when I came for lunch with my daughter. It's never that crowded and I've always been seated immediately. It's handicap accessible. The decor/ambiance is what you'd find at any local Mexican place...but unlike some, it has a lot of space and room to walk around. There are huge booths for 6 and tables with chairs that would easily accommodate large parties. The service is impressive. The servers are always attentive but not hovering with is what I look for in a good restaurant. I love their chips and salsa A few of the Mexican places I've been to in the past have been trending towards salsa verde (not my favorite), so a nice mild chunky tomato salsa really hits the spot. And they serve hot chips! You'd think that would be a easy given, but lots of places don't take that extra step to elevate their free chip appetizer...so when I find an establishment that takes it seriously it always makes my heart happy. And the free chips & salsa are delivered within seconds of sitting down, also something to rejoice in. The food comes quick--and it's fresh, hot and delicious! Ample serving sizes, AND they honor their lunch specials even on the weekends! We eat at a lot of local Mexican restaurants on the area...and to get chips, salsa, steak fajitas, arroz con pollo, a side of beans, a soda & a water for less than $30? We will DEFINITELY be putting this hidden gem in our rotation!

We gave $8 on a $39 dollar order and give an extra $5 after order is handed to us in our hands like we requested but instructions not follow

They give the choice of having food dropped off or handed to customer, the reason I always pick handed to me is we have nasty=ty neighbors who will steal your food or sabotage it with human waste, spit, snot, blood, pit,I believe they would add poop as well as. that is the reason why I want to have something that's going into my body handed to me because of previous problems from neighbors who steal or taint the food left in front of the door . give you a choice but do as you please . even though the customer has requested it be handed , the wife and I always gives $8-$10 dollars but after food is handed to us we give an additional $5.00 to the person delivering the order we placed .

Nice interior with music contributing to the ambiance. Salsa is smooth, tastes great. If you are a cheese lover order the Enchaladas El Morral. Good cheese in the Enchilada (flour shell instead of corn) as well as on top with the Verde sauce. Being a Verde sauce lover I would have preferred more Verde and less cheese but I'm sure I'm in the minority on that one! I took some from my companions carnitas, mmm, so it's all good! The carnitas were delicious!

Wanted to try something new while helping support local restaurants. Mexican is always my food if choice and this place is close to home but I've never tried it before. The salsa is thin with lots of cilantro. That's how I like it and there was plenty. I have zero control around chips and salsa so I ate that until I was almost full and then tried my entree- Enchiladas Fritas. In addition to trying a new restaurant I wanted to try a new dish too. The enchiladas were stuffed with chicken then deep fried and covered with cheese and served with lettuce, tomato, and sour cream. The chicken was stewed with peppers and onions and delicious. My mom is a very picky eater and finished everything she ordered - cheese quesadilla, chips and cheese dip, and fried ice cream. I had a bite of the fried ice cream and it was very cinnamon-y and delicious.

I've only ever had delivery and I'm giving it 5 stars, so continue with disbelief! The salsa is fresh and loaded with cilantro. One of the main reasons I come back is because they have fresh chips and homemade salsa. Their burritos pack a punch. They do not skimp on the meat and the flavors combine for a perfect and juicy bite. Hole in the wall that doesn't put a hole in your wallet.

Great to find Mexican food on a Sunday night, when friending for it. It was empty, an hour before closing; good music was playing (sounded Cuban to me, but I could be mistaken), but not so loud as to drown out the thundershower outside. Ordered the watermelon margarita, and was able to choose on the rocks vs. blended. It was, alas, made with syrupy sweet and sour mix and watermelon flavoring... way, way too sweet and gave me a high fructose corn syrup headache. Next time, I'll go for the aguas frescas -- they had horchata (sweet cinnamony rice milk) and Jamaica (hibiscus), both of which I love. Fresh hot chips and thin (but tasty) salsa brought to the table immediately; we added a small pot of guacamole, which was also tasty (not as chunky or spicy as my homemade). His Goatness got a Big Ol' Burrito, and DEVOURED it. Seriously. Disappeared so fast it's like it was never there. My order of enchiladas el Morral was quite good -- PACKED with gooey white cheese, with a scattering of grilled pork on top and plenty of tangy salsa verde, a lacework of crema. Probably more cheese than I've eaten in a single sitting in a long, long time. I think I'll come back for the lunch specials, and try more things on the menu. Pity I didn't see some of my faves on the menu, like chiles rellenos or tacos de lengua. Will keep looking.

Just tried this place today. Always looking for authentic Mexican food. I gave it 4 stars because its just almost close to authentic but not totally close. It is in a convineint place lots of parking, located in a non super busy street which is great! Prices are really good for being Mexican food which is great in anyone's book. Now for the food this is the food I ordered. Chicken fajitas were not bad nothing too special. The Mexican rice is pretty good beans are fine. Enchiladas suizas: it was ok it had some green salsa that was a bit too salty but who hasn't over salted something by mistake before I hope thats what happend and its not like that all the time. Chicken tenders: chicken tenders were actually pretty good (yes I tried my sons chicken and fries ) im very surprised haha and fries were good too. Dessert I had the flan (I love flan) it was pretty good i don't care for the chocolate drizzle so next time i will order it with no chocolate. Beverage I had Horchata and it was so good i love Horchata my favorite!

Even with the rush, I was able to snag a seat quite quickly. I was so impressed by how efficiently the staff cleared and prepared my table; it's those little touches of attentiveness that really make a difference. While the initial presentation was a bit more understated than I anticipated, the flavor was a total 8/10 triumph! The staff was also incredibly accommodating when it came to my preferences; they brought over a lovely selection of chips and sauces, but were perfectly gracious when I mentioned I prefer to avoid the heat. The avocados used were very fresh, the ratio of meat and cheese was perfect, and the chipotle peppers brought it together so nicely. Their fries are perfectly cooked, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The carne asada tacos were a little dry, however, I think it was mostly the tortillas that were dry, the meat was very well seasoned. I do wish they came with more onion, cucumber, radishes, and like wedges. Now, for the real star of the show, the salsas!!!! Wowww!!!!! They do not play around! The spiciest one is the green one with avocado chunks is incredible, the smooth green salsa is the second spiciest and lastly the chipotle red is the least spiciest. Truly incredible salsas!!! I was a bit disappointed in the Esquite, it was $10, and they didn't even fill the cup to the top, it was filled about 3/4ths of the way. For $10, I felt like it should've been up all the way with more mayo and spicy seasoning. I love how big and open the restaurant is, there is a half wall and seating on the other side, I appreciated that it was quieter and more relaxed. Overall, their food was pretty good, I am looking forward to going back and trying more of their menu.

I don't usually shop at a Mexican grocery unless I am looking for cotija cheese for making elote. However, I entered the grocery because the sign in front of the restaurant entrance said it was closed. I clearly saw people working at the food counter and a customer standing there, so I went through the grocery to see what was going on. Apparently, nobody had removed the sign and left a "caution" cone blocking the door. Anyway, after the weird start, I enjoyed my experience. The colorful dining room has lots of festival streamers hanging from the ceiling and loud Mexican music playing. (Note that the grocery has an equally loud sound system playing something completely different so you get a weird stereo effect that is hard to tune out.) The dining booths go about half way back into the restaurant on both sides. Beyond the left side is a cooking area with a large menu posted over the top. Even though there is a counter at the cooking area, you don't order there. Behind you on the right near the back of the restaurant is a smaller counter with a cash register and a menu booklet that you order from. Once you place your order and pay, you wait and they will bring it out to you. Note that any beverages are sold in bottle form and are self-serve from the cooler next to the order counter. The wait was fairly short considering they prepare the entrees to order. I went with a couple tacos (with the cilantro and white onion) and ordered rice and beans. Apparently the cashier had a little trouble understanding me when I ordered the Asada and Pollo tacos. I was brought out the Asada and Lomo instead. (I was the only customer at the time.) But, instead of sending it back, I like pork loin as well as chicken, so I simply added some green sauce (mild) and a few drops of red (supposed to be hot, but I didn't think it was that hot.) The tacos were excellent. They were served on double layered corn tortillas. I usually prefer flour, but wasn't given an option here. These were the best tasting corn tortilla shells I've had. And the ingredients inside were delicious with the added items being colorfully fresh. The side of beans and rice were forgettable. Not bad, just lacking much texture and flavor. Very bland and not much other than filler when compared to the robust flavor of the tacos. The staff was friendly and the restaurant was pretty clean looking, so given the high quality of flavor, I would recommend stopping by to quench your Mexican food cravings. Review #2698
