We arrived early on a Friday evening, and thankfully it wasn't crowded. Since they don't take reservations, getting there early is definitely the way to go. We ordered the Dealer's Choice, which was refreshing, balanced, and beautifully presented. We also tried one of their stronger signature cocktails, and they definitely don't hold back -- there's a reason they limit those drinks to two per person! Both drinks were creative and well-crafted. The bartenders clearly know their craft, and the drink presentation was outstanding. Service was good, although not especially memorable, which is why I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5. One thing that would make the experience even more immersive would be if the entire staff wore cowboy attire to match the Old West theme. With the speakeasy setting and vintage decor, it would add a fun touch and make the experience feel even more authentic. Overall, Twain Speakeasy offers excellent cocktails, good music, and a unique atmosphere. I would definitely come back again, and my recommendation is to arrive early since reservations aren't available and I can see this place filling up quickly on busy nights.

The service was attentive, and we never felt like we were waiting around for anything. One thing that really stood out was the bar covered with old coins--it was such a cool and creative detail that gave the place its own personality. Combined with the casual atmosphere, it made the experience even more enjoyable. If you're in Old Town looking for a laid-back pub with good food, quick service, and a fun atmosphere, this is definitely a place worth checking out.

But she didn't come to check up on us much and we had to flag her down. Located in the heart of Old Town so parking was on a first come first serve on the metered street. There's people walking and exploring which is how we found the place. It wasn't too packed but also wasn't empty. It was self serve outside patio seating. Food was okay. Typical bar pub food that nothing stood out but we did just order appetizers. With 5 beers and 2 sodas, the bill was only $117 which was actually surprisingly cheap to me.

Communication with Lucy was seamless--all I really had to do to prepare was send an inspiration board and ask a few questions about accommodating some items we wanted to bring. Set menu planning was easy, and Lucy helped project costs to make sure we met the minimum. I was blown away when I saw it all come together. Kelly, the owner, took such careful care of us. She photographed the event and shared the photos with me afterward, and she took the time to walk us through each dish and the thought behind the ingredients, which made the food taste even better. She gathered the whole group for a photo, and once everyone left, she offered me a cold drink to help me unwind (she must have noticed how stressed I was, lol). All in all, I'd absolutely host another private event here. Thank you, Luke's On Front, for your hospitality and for making our event so special.

Good variety of dishes from pastas to burgers to steaks and seafood. For my dinner selection I went with the NY Strip (medium rare). There is a pat of bleu cheese compound butter which you can use to add some extra flavor, although I didn't think my steak needed any. Solid restaurant with great vibes!

I got the rosy glow cocktail which was okay, it tasted a little watered down. I liked my boyfriend's drink way more, it was called halfway there. For food, I got the ahi salad and I was pleasantly surprised by it. It was delicious! Solid spot for food and drinks in old town Temecula!

Tomato Bisque with Parmesan cheese rind was one of the best I've eaten. Meatloaf with mashed potatoes was seasoned perfectly and very flavorful. The server made up for all of the brisket shortcomings by providing stellar customer service checking on us frequently and ensuring our beverages were always full. The server gets 10,000 stars for being the major reason I'd go back. When servers go out of their way to treat me kindly and by providing creature comforts I didn't even know I wanted or needed? I hope they continue to hire him to play live music because he was the highlight of the evening. The food was mediocre at best. The poke was not very good, the pieces of tune were huge and there was like 5 big cubes of it that were seasoned strangely. They put what tasted like a sweet eel sauce or a balsamic glaze on top which ruined the flavor of the whole thing and is not a usual poke flavor. I had a few bites and gave up. Then I ordered the fish tacos and those were ok, and not bad honestly. Just very heavy handed with the sour cream on top which kind of ruined it otherwise they would have been great. The drinks were awful. We tried 3 and all of them were bitter and not very tasty. I took one sip of the "spritz me up" and sent it back for a different drink instead. The service was OK. I feel like we could have been checked on more and I waited 15min after my first sip of that drink to replace it with another one and then waited another 10min for the replacement for almost half an hour of waiting for a drink that was drinkable. Then we asked for a printed receipt and she just clocked out and never gave us one. The ambiance was fine and like I said, Jon Dutch made the evening worth it. Otherwise I would not come back unless he was here providing entertainment. If I come again, I'll try all new things as I wasn't impressed with anything I ordered this first time I tried the place.
