Cheeseburger

Awesome new place in old town, I had the cheeseburger and vegetables with a mimosa! Cooked perfectly and best ever flavor. Maria was an exceptional waitress and attended to anything we needed!

From the get go this place has an amazing ambiance and feels like modern classic steakhouse in NY area so thumbs up for that Had the empanadas which were excellent however the ceviche was rather disappointing. Has limited seafood and mostly veggies in creamy sauce , not my fav it should have been more acidic Ribeye steak did not have a bone in option. Cooked to perfection but my biggest gripe was it was a think cut steak, not a juicy think cut which is my favorite. Cocktails had amazing presentation but lacked depth of flavor for the example the classic old fashion was smoky but lacked the orange bitters to balance it out Lastly I realize they are new but their service was all over the place. They kept bringing sides and desserts that we did not order and our sides with our main was so slow it arrived after we were done so I had my sautéed spinach by itself and by buddy has his fries after he was done with his filet. Still overall a good experience just not blown out of the water

The cool interior which we would have preferred to sit in

Al que quiere celeste, que le cueste - Argentinian saying ("If you want heaven's blue, you'll have to pay the price.") We were celebrating a birthday and anniversary so our little group ended up here as we knew it was recently opened . A plate of protein sounded wonderful What we got was a mixed visit to this restaurant; some good, some bad, some ugly. The menu has a wide variety of choices but we settled on the mixed meat plate for 3 with two sides. It was a warm night in Temecula and we saw one design misfire. The patio is lovely but missing ceiling fans. That would have added to both the ambiance and helped with the cooling. Service was efficient but also mixed. I had called in advance and no one picked up. No one ever did call me back although they stressed on the phone message how connecting with their customers was "so important". I could have put my name in for an inside table or sat at the bar. The girls at the front never offered the bar option. The meat was hit or miss. The strip steak very good as was chorizo. Peppers were tasty, the NY Strip less so. Lamb was solid. The two sides were cold and bland. Their happy hour looked fabulous with good choices and prices. I might do that again but never the entrees or sides. The birthday flan was terrible but the sparkler was fun. Corkage fee was $25. Not recommended for dinner.

Food: 3.5 Service: 5 Ambiance: 4 I had been seeing ads for Gaucho Grill opening in Old Town Temecula, so I was excited to check it out! We were lucky enough to snag a reservation during grand opening week. We were one of the first to arrive for our reservation but were seated outside without being given the option of indoor or outdoor seating. By the time we asked to move inside, we were told it was no longer available, which was a little disappointing. Luckily, the weather was nice, and once the sun went down, the twinkling lights of Old Town made the outdoor ambiance really pretty. The only downside was the flies! Our server Maria was the sweetest! She was friendly, helpful, and gave us great recommendations. We ordered the tasting tower, which was nice because we got to sample several appetizers. All appetizers unfortunately did not come out together and it would have been nice to receive the complete tower. The empanadas were definitely my favorite and the sweetbreads were interesting to say the least! We also ordered the parrillada with grilled vegetables. The presentation was impressive and it came with a great variety of meats. Taste wise, though, the food didn't quite blow me away. I felt it needed a little more seasoning, particularly salt, which would have elevated everything. Lastly, we had the flan which was creamy and delicious and perfect for sharing! Since this was grand opening week, I'm definitely giving them some grace as they work out the kinks. The restaurant has a lot of potential, and Maria provided excellent service. I'd be willing to return and try it again!

Platter for 2

Food was absolutely fantastic. Service was definitely on point and what they did with the old Temecula Bank after it was a Mexican restaurant looks fantastic. The upstairs is beautiful downstairs and outdoor is amazing. We had this meat platter for two. I forgot exactly what it's called but it was absolutely fantastic. The gentleman behind the bar made a fantastic old-fashioned. They had some great wine for my wife. Everything was perfect. Great job.

Empanadas, beef and spinach

Went the first week that they were open and got seated quickly. Ordered a couple of drinks and appetizers, both of which we got fairly quickly. Our server, Sophia was very pleasant and attentive. She and also a manager, stopped by our table frequently to check on us. Entrees were slightly longer coming out but our wait was not unreasonable, as the restaurant was very full. Food was pretty good, but maybe a little pricey. Ambiance was very nice as well. The table next to us voiced some complaints about wait times and some food preference issues but we didn't experience any problems whatsoever. I cook quite a bit at home and find it difficult to enjoy myself at most restaurants because they frequently don't offer a better experience than what I can create on my own. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves at the Gaucho Grill and we will dine there again.

Lentil soup was delicious

It was my friends bday dinner and Waited about an hour for food to arrive, food got here and many of my friends didn't find the food to be what they thought and sent it back. I felt my food was fine, I took my husband beef empanadas home to eat. He brought them to work today, and he says he had spinach ones? They gave me the wrong empanadas. Overall ambiance/style of restaurant was very nice, server was cool, but food management what is going on?

Love visiting new restaurants that come to town. Decided to have dinner with a couple of foodie friends here since it was their opening week. We had dinner on Day #2. Was it as awesome as we were hoping? No unfortunately. We ordered the gaucho tasting platter (tower) and half parrillada to share. I specifically requested that the 2 do not come out together so we could enjoy each item before moving to the next. Well both arrived practically at the same time. They understood and took the parrillada back. The table isn't really big enough to have both in the table and have space for all of us to reach everything. We were told our tower came with 2 empanadas and we could choose which options we wanted. We requested beef and short rib as that was marked as a crowd favorite. Our tower only came with 1 empanada and we were told the other and the sausage would arrive later. The 1 that arrived later was definitely not beef or short rib. One server said the tower comes with 3 empanada and another said that it only comes with 2. So they let us keep the wrong one and brought out the right one. Upon looking at the menu when I got home I noticed that we should have received 3 which we did but only by mistake. The group agreed that EVERYTHING was lacking salt. Hindsight I should have asked for salt for the table. Sit inside at all costs. We had a 5:30pm reservation. Showed up on time and were seated outside. There were too many flies at dinner that we did not invite but we could not be moved to an indoor table. My absolute pet peeve is swatting flies away from my food while trying to enjoy my dinner. Hopefully they have plans to combat this problem. I heard the table behind us also complaining about this. We got a lot of food for a pretty great value after splitting the bill 3 ways. I got to spend some quality time at a new spot with the girls so that's always a plus. Our server Maria was very sweet. She's probably the reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 3. I know it's their opening week and they have some kinks to work out so I'll give them another shot once they've been open for a while.

Had a most delightful time on a Saturday for lunch. For our hostess, who sat us outside to Lala our server absolutely amazing. The food was cooked to perfection. The drinks were amazing. There was a smile on everyone's face thank you Lala for a wonderful experience. You're the best.

Stellar Service and Exquisite Food!…read more I came into Villa Roma for dinner around 6:00 PM, absolutely famished. I was thrilled to be seated right away and given the choice of where to sit. My waitress was a beautiful, bilingual, and incredibly friendly woman named Berenice. She was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and clearly has a wonderful rapport with the regulars and locals. Taking her recommendation, I ordered the Entraña steak dinner plate (cooked medium) with a side of crunchy garlic fries, along with empanadas and fried calamari to start. The pacing of the meal was fantastic. The empanadas were brought out immediately, followed closely by the calamari. The flavors were so exquisite that I completely cleared both appetizer plates while enjoying my water! My main entrée arrived very shortly after. Because I enjoyed the starters so much, I was too full to finish it, but I tasted the steak and a few fries. The steak was perfectly soft and absolutely delicious! I packed the rest to-go, and ended up ordering two extra meat empanadas and a Coke Zero (partly because I needed to break a $20 bill so I could leave a cash tip!). In total, everything came out to $93.72, including the tip. I don't treat myself to a meal out like this even once every three months, but I am so glad I came. The entire staff works seamlessly together to make sure all customers are attended to super fast. I am officially a huge fan and will absolutely be back--especially for their half-price empanada Tuesdays and buy-one-get-one-free pizza Wednesdays. I cannot recommend this place enough!

Empanadas: Spinach empanada, the filling was to wet, too milkiy spinach not trimmed enough, and it tasted worse since it was fried. Had they controlled the picadillo prep, it wouldn't be milky. Chicken empanada- This did not taste as our traditonal empanadas, way too many spices and it was spicy, we do not do spicy, we do flavor. Chicken tasted sandy. Choripan: Poor meat quality, too chewy and grainy, I felt like I was eating sand. Bread overdone. Rusa: Bland. Overpriced for what you get and for the quality of the food. Keep it authentic, don't re-invent the wheel. I give it 2 stars for still having some great products at the market, free parking and pleasant service, but my goodness, your prices are too high compared to other Argentina establishments.

I went in on a mission, sandwiches de miga that could take me back to my time in Argentina. Unfortunately, I got distracted by the empanadas. I ordered several, and they were all very good. Having spent time in Argentina, though, I have a particular standard for empanadas. There's something about the ones you get there, the freshness, the flavour, they just sing. Patagonia's came impressively close, not quite Argentina, but close enough to make me smile. Then, on my way out, I spotted what I'd actually come for, sandwiches de Miga. When I was in Argentina, I practically lived on these things, a few pastries, a big stack of sandwiches, and total contentment. Naturally, I bought some even though I'd just eaten. Two hours later, I couldn't resist anymore, and they were pretty goddamn good. I stretched those sandwiches across three meals, enjoying every bite and remembering the bakeries I'd visited. Were they exactly the same? No. But they came remarkably close, and sometimes that familiar taste far from where you first found it is its own kind of magic. Four stars. Because while everything I tried was good, neither the empanadas nor the sandwiches quite reached their Argentine counterparts. Would I go back? Absolutely. In fact, I wanted to, but I ran out of time before leaving the area. Next time, I'm heading straight for those sandwiches de Miga. How does that sound? Btw, I felt like I was back in Córdoba while I sat at their cute, nearly open air dining room.

It was a late lunch so I called to see if a reservation is needed for 2 ppl. Not at all so we jumped into the car. Such a wonderful restaurant in an unassuming plaza. Lots of parking. There's an outdoor seating area and a good size restaurant inside. We were greeted as we walked in. Btw, the HUGE glass door entrance, I love. There Were a few open tables and we were welcome to sit where we wanted to. Two classes of water were brought to the table and a waiter came with the menu. My mom is vegetarian and I am not. I asked the waiter for his vegetarian dishes and he provided me a pasta dish. That was exactly what my Mom was wanting. Linguine with a light pink sauce with mushrooms and you can add zucchini, bell pepper and broccoli. I ordered a sangria. That was just amazing itself. And a linguine dish with shrimp. Warm, sliced French bread and a small dish of butter was brought out first that was so good. Usually the bread and butter that is brought at small restaurants like these could be just mediocre or not good at all. This was warm and just tasty. We also ordered a Caprese. The plate came out with big chunks of mozzarella tomatoes, and both were sitting on a marinated pesto covered set of basil leaves. That was so good. The combination of the vinaigrette, mozzarella basil tomato pesto was exactly what we were looking for so refreshing. Our entrées were huge for $20 a plate. We had to take 3/4 of it home. That was so not expected. Pasta and the pasta sauce were amazing. Very freshly made. Dishes were made to order only and not sitting around. I asked if they were doing something special for birthdays and I pointed to my mom next to you know, the waiter came out with fresh homemade Tim. They also sing to my mom wish she was so sweet. I am loving this place and will be coming back. Thank you so much for the staff for making my mom feel so wonderful on her birthday. The food was amazing Services amazing.
