We visited Gaucho Grill Temecula on October 10, 2026 to celebrate our anniversary. We arrived around a little before 7pm. Our server was Sal. About an hour beforehand I called explained our party size and was told we could walk in without a reservation. I also asked about gluten free options and the gentleman said they had options and could customize some dishes around my allergies. Upon arrival the hosts initially said there was no availability. After I mentioned the phone call they offered patio seating while looking super annoyed. We ordered drinks and waited approximately 25 minutes while two parties seated after us received theirs first. When ordering food I asked about gluten free options Sal gave a brief/ vague answer that all the steaks were gluten free. Since filet mignon was unavailable, I asked for a leaner cut and was recommended ribeye. I requested mashed potatoes and an additional side of fries offering to pay extra. He said those might not be gluten free and suggested a salad. I asked him if he can confirm with the kitchen and said I would choose a salad if necessary. After approximately 15 minutes without an update my fiance and I asked again. He said the kitchen hadn't declined the order knowing I was gluten free so he was "pretty sure" it was gluten free. I never received definite confirmation. I ordered it medium rare, but it arrived unevenly cooked, with some portions well done. It was also underseasoned, and I asked for salt. The fries never arrived, and no explanation was given. When another bartender collected our empty drink, I ordered a salad through him because I was still hungry. Meanwhile Sal spent time socializing with bar guests, offering one woman a custom drink and telling her she wouldn't have to pay for it if she didn't like it while our requests remained unresolved. He also offered a takeout box but never brought it.. the employee who delivered my salad offered one and brought it promptly. Toward the end, I overheard another party say they had no reservation but had been offered the option to wait for seating. Sal then apologized for the lack of service. The salad and drink were my favorite parts of the meal and I appreciated the employees who stepped in to help. Unfortunately the delays, missed requests, unclear gluten free guidance and disappointing steak turned what should have been a special anniversary dinner into a frustrating evening. read more

This is a new place and I'd highly recommend trying their filet Mignon steak and ask for extra Habanero Chimichurri. It gives an extra pop. I took my fiancé and few others. Service was awesome but they forgot my roasted fingerlings. Did give a discount. I'll give them another try in the future since it's a new joint. Once they pick up on their service place will be a fantastic restaurant. The smell of wood burning made it even better. I'm Filipino and I craved Empanadas. The waiter suggested the short rib and it was very tantalizing tasty. read more

Randomly picked Gaucho while walking through Old Town and we were NOT disappointed! Sal was our bartender and was amazing, he made a great Lemon Drop and surprised us with another refreshing vodka drink. The drinks, short rib empanadas, and the Argentine Chorizo were delicious, and everyone was so attentive. We'll definitely be coming back, especially for Sal! read more

Came in on a Sunday super excited to try this place out. Sat at the bar and when I say our bartender Sal was the absolute best!! I'd come here every weekend just to have him make my drinks! Ambiance was good, food was definetly overpriced. 180$ for two people with one drink each and an appetizer. Service was good also but for the quality of food and prices you're better off trying a different spot. Meat just tasted like food I grilled in the back and I'm average at BBQ. read more

Caveat Emptor! The prices on the menu were NOT the prices they tried to charge us. They were each $2 higher on the bill. When I called them out on it, it took 20 minutes to change so look over your bill carefully before paying. They gave me an extra $1 off for my trouble or they couldn't do the math. The location is phenomenal, the service was friendly but slow, and sporadic at best. We were two women dining together and it seems that women only parties usually get poorer service anyway, unfortunately. My friend's filet mignon was WAY overcooked also but we were so hungry we didn't send it back. My skirt steak was very good. New places always have a bit of a breaking in period but sheesh, they could've done better. read more

Very disappointed. Place needs help with the work attire (t shirts) lol crazy. The place is way too nice looking to being wearing t- shirts and pants... I loved the chimichurri. Although, The servers don't know the menu and asked me how big a "16 oz" steak is? Like really? We ordered the filet, very tough. The sides are not good. The Gambling Cowboy is still my favorite. read more

Food 4 Service 2.5 We made reservations for 3:15pm for my birthday, we were sat outside on the patio in 100 degree heat shortly after they opened and had available tables inside. Not sure if we were placed outside since we were there with children (party of 4, 2 adults, 2 children) We saw another family also had been sat outside. We ordered the parrillada which was great. Best lamb I ever had. Kids plates were burger and skirt steak both good. We also order drinks, the Mercado and gaucho Cadillac margarita both great. Ordered a second margarita which took almost 20 minutes to come to the table, by that time we were about ready to go. We ran out of water a few times. Servers weren't as attentive outside. Not sure if it was because of the heat or because they are still working things out being new. Would have loved to see and experience the newly renovated inside being our first time there and having reservations. Would try again after they have been open for a while. read more

Great wine, food, service and atmosphere! Luna, our server was awesome! Will be back soon!

Had such a great experience at this brand-new Argentinian steakhouse, and a big part of that was thanks to Hannah behind the bar. She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, and made us feel welcome from the moment we sat down. The menu is so extensive and I can't wait to try more things!! Hannah has a great personality and really knows how to take care of her guests. The drinks were excellent, the atmosphere was fantastic, and the whole experience felt special. I'll be back :) read more

Didn't get any pictures but everything was amazing, especially for just having been opened. I'm sure there are some things they have to iron out, but the food was excellent and the service was excellent read more

Wow! So excited for our Old Town to have such a great spot! Alexa, Lexi and Trish made out night memorable! Wishing Gaucho great success!

After waiting 9 months to open what a disappointment ! 10 mins no server, no water no eye contact. 7pm got seated by a delightful Abby then it all went down hill. No filet , out of for a steak house? Really! Their only alternative was breaded steak chunks. Would have ordered an expensive steak but if you can't stock or cut a filet from your numerous other cuts why take the chance ? Abby our hostess was the only delightful look you in the eye staff we came across . Will need to train staff , stock kitchen in order to survive , The Gambling Cowboy still reigns in Front Street ! read more

We got to the restaurant a little early, but we were still able to get seated. We were greeted with friendly faces and seated right away. She left us with the menus and we waited for our server. Everything was great. I ordered an espresso martini, but it came back without coffee. I don't know how it was made, but I didn't enjoy it. I'm not the type of person that takes things back so I just kept it. I ordered the lentil soup which came out in a huge bowl and we shared it. It was very good and very savory. I ordered a chicken dish, my son ordered fettuccine and my other half ordered the skirt steak. We didn't enjoy the main meal with each dish having their own issue, the fettuccine was very oily, and the chicken could've been more flavorful and the skirt steak had grizzle. I thought we would also get the gaucho bread for the table since the menu said first order is on them, but that didn't ever come to the table. We had to wait for our water to be refilled, and there was a big gap from when the soup arrived to when our main entrées arrived. I understand they're new in business and maybe we just came on a busy night(?) (Wednesday evening). Perhaps we will wait until the restaurant is more established in that new Temecula location and come back for another experience. read more

We were looking forward to trying Gaucho Grill for the first time and decided to dine here for my husband's birthday. It wasn't too busy when we went, but we were disappointed with the service we received. Our server was working behind the bar as well as serving tables which didn't seem to work well. We felt that there were long wait times before we could ask for something from our server. Other than that, we did enjoy the food and thought that they had the best chimichurri out of all the ones we've tried. Good value for the food as well. read more

Overall great experience with Stephano and Luna. Had a date with my wife and the attention to detail with the customer services was excellent. We ordered the tomahawk, seasonal veggies and papas ahumadas. Stephano explained into detail what each food contained and the seasoning. We appreciated his humble hospitality and personal preference on the wine. I appreciated the warm welcoming they gave us and we will definitely be coming back. As Temecula residents, we appreciate this type of customer service. read more

I thoroughly enjoyed Gaucho Grill. Our server, Sal, was awesome. He made me a custom whiskey cocktail that was much appreciated. My wife's Cadillac margarita was also outstanding. The food here is excellent and tastes quite fresh. Everyone's tastes are different and I would've liked stronger flavor in the meats, but the overall experience was excellent. read more

I must say I was impressed. Being that it was the first week they were open I was expecting delays and hiccups along the way. To my surprise their were non. The drink were not overly sweet. No artificial sweetener, the drinks were made with natural fruit juice. I really appreciate the drinks not being overly sweet. Let's talk food again impressed we ordered the meat plater, the meat was juicy not overcooked and full of flavor. The corn pudding is a must. The beef and short rib empanadas were delicious. Give them a try, I know you will enjoy. read more

My first time here. Hoist did amazing job of finding us a table for three. Now here is my reason for a 3 rating. Not because of the food. The food was amazing! Our ribeye was cooked to point! Perfect. My respect to the cooks. Mashed potatoes amazing . Salad very tasty. So my issue is the time we sat at our table before anyone realized 15 mins had passed and no one came over. Our drinks after we ordered took another 15 mins . Our waitress had to many tables and obviously could attend 100% to each one. This I understand. But makes our waiting an issue in my world . I See all the other servers huddled together by the bar and the kitchen entrance standing there as I try to ask for assistance. Service was bad. No other way to put it. My bill was 289.07. And first time in a super long time I was not happy tipping. I think this place can do better. Again the food was amazing. Wow it took another 20 mins before anyone came to pick up my bill. lol. Terrible service. read more

We came to celebrate my birthday and ordered the half parrillada, which we enjoyed ! First came the empanadas one smoked short rib and a pastor both amazing .I got a glass of malbec, and it was excellent so was the gaucho bread and chimmi . All of the main course was amazing ,the lamb chops were on point the New York strip was tender as well as the short ribs and the skirt steak was the bomb! The only thing that was a bit off was the half chicken which was a bit dry. So much food ! Service was on point and the place was slammed even at 4:30 in the afternoon .Then even threw in an order of Flan for my birthday ,all in all an exceptional first visit read more

We made a reservation on opening day for later in the week and requested a table for four on the second floor. Reservations were surprisingly wide open all week, even though the opening had been delayed repeatedly over the past year. We were looking forward to trying the new restaurant with family. When we arrived, we were first seated at a table for two, then moved to the "vault" (wine closet). After 26 minutes with no one coming by to take a drink order or even offer water, we left and had dinner at the Gambling Cowboy. read more

Lexi had great customer service. The food was good. The vibes were good. Ask for salt though.

Went for a drink Wednesday and sat at the bar where JB was working. Super friendly and informative about the menu. We have eaten at Buena Park location and was excited to see they came to Temecula! We decided to have an early dinner and it did not disappoint. We ordered the Half Parrillada and it was excellent. The restaurant is beautiful and looking forward to returning with friends. read more

If I could give 0 I would!! Immediately when we showed up the 4 ladies in the front didn't even greet us instead they said "can I help you" and gave us the nastiest stank faces ever! Those other 4 made us feel very uncomfortable like they didn't want us there.
