Gorgeous beach views at this place since it's right on the sand. It's casual, seating is available in booths or at long tables. You can order through a QR code though recently the staff has really insisted to order with them directly. The food here is surprisingly good, I've had the taquitos, salad, ceviche and salmon which were all delicious. It is a bit on the pricier side, especially for the cocktails. The drinks are really small for $17+ each. They do have a great happy hour during the week from 3-6pm so I would recommend to stop by during that time. read more

Gotcha beach is the place to be and when you get here ask for banging he's amazing and it makes great recommendations for the menu and then don't forget to drink flights. We had the sangria and the margaritas and they were amazing and the view and the music cannot be beat. Here's to gaucho Beach will be back again in all honesty. It was one of the best Birthday brunches all month of May! The host Marcos greeted us was very nice we didn't have to wait at all. He sat us upstairs with an amazing view. The food here is tasty. I ordered the Cubano sandwich, it was good. The portions are on the smaller side. It comes with either fries or salad. I opted for fries. We sat at the bar so the bartender was friendly and efficient. I didn't have to wait too long for my food. Ambiance is great, it's overlooks the ocean so it's nice to sit outside for the views. The location is amazing! Literally on the beach! Makes for a bit of a chilly night but it is worth it. DJ adds an additional fun vibe that creates a classically cool night out experience. Calamari was YUM and came out super hot. Artichoke dip on the other hand was cold, and not super appetizing. Burger and lobster roll very much held their own, though the lobster roll was a lobster rollette (lol, prepare to still be hungry). Gaucho salad was yummy and is an option for your side, be sure to be cautious if you have a nut allergy. Drinks weren't great and took FOREVER much like the food. Service was friendly but incredibly slow. Overall, have to give a mixed review in this moment but would give this place another shot read more

We stared with Esteban. My sister was running late! To be expected it was her birthday! Although they don't take reservations on weekends Esteban was right there! The best part is he kept it real!! He was honest about the wait! Once he went on break, I met Antonio Antonio was even more on point! He made sure that even though my sister was running late that she was taken care of on her birthday! Yesenia was at the door, making sure that we were taking care of helping. Remind Antonio that we have been waiting.! We are from Altadena California so the drive was about an hour with traffic. Terrible service. Servers are not attentive and the restaurant itself is dirty. We were seated at a dirty table and had to ask them to clean it. The bartender and server were trying the drinks we ordered and double dipping their straws into others. Completely gross. They had a sign that said no public restrooms but honestly if it wasn't for that and they had restrooms for customers, I would probably give this place five stars but because of the restroom situation I had to bring it down to four considering I'm always looking for a place with a clean restroom since I work out in the field.

I've been walking by this charming beachside restaurant for months, and its stunning ocean views have finally convinced me to give it a try. The colorful buildings and lively atmosphere have made me curious about the delicious food and sunny spot it must offer. When parking, it's a good idea to download the Passport app, if you plan to go before 6pm especially when parking enforcement is out in full force. This way, you can pay for your parking spot quickly and easily, avoiding the risk of receiving a ticket in the time it takes to get back to your car. By paying for your parking through the app, you can ensure that you're not stuck with an unexpected fine, and you'll also be supporting the city's efforts to streamline parking payment processes. I was taken aback when we had to sit ourselves at a table, it's not something I'm used to at a beachfront restaurant like this. But, considering the stunning ocean views and the fact that it was a weekday, the lack of assigned seating wasn't a bad thing - it added to the casual, laid-back vibe of the place. Our waiter was friendly and enthusiastic, but it took a bit of time to get their attention - we had to wait for a while before someone came to take our order. Despite the delay, her demeanor remained warm and welcoming, and she made sure to check in on us regularly to ensure we had everything we needed. The pineapple Margarita was a decent drink, but it didn't quite live up to my expectations. While it did taste like pineapple and had a unique blue color, it wasn't particularly impressive or memorable. Having had better versions of this cocktail in the past, I'm not sure what the point of the blue color was, as it didn't add to the overall flavor or experience. Overall, it was just an average drink that didn't stand out from the rest. The Gaucho burger was a solid choice! While I opted for medium-well, it came out slightly more rare than expected, but the juicy half-pound beef patty still packed a flavorful punch. The combination of melted provolone cheese, fresh tomatoes, caramelized onions, and spicy habanero chimichurri on a toasted brioche bun was absolute perfection. The tangy kick from the lemon aioli added a delightful contrast to the rich flavors. Despite the slight misstep on the doneness, the Gaucho burger was good, but wouldn't get again. The steak and chicken empanadas complicated were excellent! The steak was tender and juicy with a nice char, while the chicken was crispy on the outside and tender within. Both dishes were well-seasoned and allowed the natural flavors to shine through. My sister wasn't too thrilled with the fish and chips, unfortunately. She found the batter to be overdone, giving the fish an unpleasant texture. To make matters worse, the fish was prone to bursting with juice, which was a bit messy and unappetizing. The tartar sauce, which she thought would add a nice tanginess, ended up being off-putting instead, with a weird taste that didn't complement the dish well. arrived at the restaurant at approximately 3:55, waited for 10 minutes in the hall beside the bar for someone to acknowledge that we were present. we stated we would like a table for dinner and were told by the bartender take any table that's open. So we did five minutes later someone came over and cleaned the table and asked if we needed assistance.. we said we had come for dinner and she said I'll send over the waiter... 10 minutes later, the waiter arrived, and we told him we would like to have a menu.... He proceeds to find a menu and brings one menu for three people..... that's right one menu for three people.... we look over the menu and order two steaks, and one salad and calamari...... Approximately 15 minutes later, a server, not our waiter brings steak and the calamari..... Anticipating that the other stake was forthcoming, I was mistaken.... After requesting to see our waiter after 10 minutes, we asked where the other steak was..... said, let me look into it.... Five minutes late he shows up with the second steak..... The steak that was served to me was un edible..... I tried my best, but I just could not eat the steak...... I asked the server if he would send the waiter to me so that I could show him what my problem was...... after a five minute wait and no waiter I decided to go to the bar and ask for the manager.... I explained to him what the problem was and he could see that the steak was un eatable.... he did refund the money that I had paid for the steak....... I only wish that I would not have included a 20% tip for a waiter that was non-existent..... but that's what happens when you have to order pay for and include the tip before the meal is served..... this is a poor poor policy....... So buyer beware if you plan on using this restaurant, I wouldn't pay before you see what you are about to receive.... with the service and food as poor as it was presented to us this restaurant will not be around very long..... Can't even begin to describe how awful this place is!!!!! As a former employee for Almost a year... If only you all knew what was taking place behind closed doors!!!! To start You wouldn't believe the amount of CROSS CONTAMINATION happening here. The surfaces food is prepared on is absolutely disgusting and never ever ever cleaned or sanitized. They don't even wash dishes with soap or sanitizer and only spray them off and run through the machine with water. Health Code Violations? Ha! Long Beach is Notorious for Health Departments not doing their jobs and being paid off by places like this that are owned by the city. The amount of rodents and bugs and disgust in and around this place would make anyone never want to step foot near here again. This place seriously needs to be shut down immediately due to HEALTH CODE VIOLATIONS The owners of Guacho? Who are they? Management? Who are they as well? Who actually controls what's Happening here? The amount of corners being cut to just make money is insane. There is no management and employees are left constantly having to pick up the slack of the business. Employees give inventory through group chat to a manager and that manager then gives the order to his manager and then that person doesn't order what's needed on time for the business to have what's on the menus and then the employees are left telling customers we're out of items. This has been going on since the start and has not changed. I could literally keep going and going and going with how horrible this place was and is. The amount of employees you see come and go, the lacking all around from everyone is ridiculous. PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF LONG BEACH SOMEONE SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN!!!!!! If you're looking for a dining experience that combines stunning ocean views with great food, Gaucho Beach is the spot to be. Nestled right on the beach, the location is unbeatable, offering a fantastic view that sets the perfect tone for a relaxing meal. The ambiance is warm and inviting, matched by the friendly and attentive staff who make you feel right at home. Now, let's talk food. I ordered the Blue Cheese Burger, and let me tell you, it was a showstopper. The patty was huge, tender, and juicy, packed with flavor in every bite. Paired with fresh, golden fries, it was a burger experience worth savoring. The Calamari was another highlight--crispy, perfectly seasoned, and totally addictive. For drinks, Gaucho Beach doesn't disappoint. I tried their Old Fashioned, and I might just say it's arguably the best in Long Beach. My coworkers were equally impressed with the Inferno Margarita, which they couldn't stop raving about. Not everything was perfect, though. The Artichoke and Feta Dip was underwhelming--not terrible, but not something I'd order again.
