Was so hungry after a walk on the beach, stopped by this very cute place... The only place along my walk that was opened at night. Love that they have seating areas outside, with beach views. There were menus on a counter that showed salads for $12, which I thought was reasonable. However, there were no attendants and I asked and found that I can seat myself. There were QR codes on the table so I figured I can also order for myself. Prices online here are different with salads being $16. However, there was a half portion so I got that and a jalapeno mashed potato. Although hungry, I could barely stomach the food. I was hoping for a refreshing salad but the greens didn't look fresh and the dressing was overpowering and too sour for me. I did enjoy the blue cheese, nuts, dried fruit though to help balance out the salad. The green mashed potatoes didn't taste like jalapeno. Or pesto, which I was told made the dish green. $10 and I wasn't impressed. Although conveniently located, I likely would not try the place again. I would rather walk a bit further to the other restaurants and know the food will at least be palatable. read more

We ordered the Aperol Spritz Pitcher, and it was spot-on, light, refreshing, and not too strong. Perfect for sharing! For appetizers, we had the chicken empanadas and the calamari. The empanadas were flavorful and delicious, but they did contain nuts (looked like peanuts), so just a heads-up for anyone with allergies, it'd be great if the servers double-checked that detail when taking orders. The calamari was crispy and well-seasoned, though I wish there had been a bit more aioli on the side since it paired perfectly. For mains, we ordered the Chilean sea bass and lomo saltado. The sea bass was perfectly cooked, tender, flaky, and beautifully balanced with the lemon-caper sauce (I just wish there was a little more of that sauce on the plate because it was amazing). The lomo saltado had great flavor and spice, the beef was perfectly cooked but the rice felt a little flat and could use more seasoning. I'd also love a few more peppers and onions to round out the dish. Overall, the experience was really nice, great food, great drinks, and our server was super sweet and attentive. We went to the beach before heading back to AZ. We ran across Gaucho known for their Empenadas. Nice outside patio and playground is 20 feet away. Service was good and fast. Food took a little bit but waiting for goodness takes time! The Pork Empenada was amazing flavor flowing through every bite leaving you to want more! They do have a dozen box for $45 for sale. The Ocean Mate was refreshing made with their house lemonade. Listen they have very reasonable prices, you have to give them a shot, you will not be disappointed!! read more

Visited here randomly after a yoga by the beach sesh. We loved that they had available tables and although seating was first come first serve, with no host guidance the service was great and our server was super attentive and nice. My drink was too spicy and they changed it super fast. Visited for the first time accompanied with my daughter and her boyfriend for happy hour. Excellent service by our server, Francisco and manager, Sal. Very friendly and attentive the place got busy, but Francisco made sure that we were taking care of. I had a margarita which was very delicious made with fresh ingredients! We shared the empanadas, Al Pastor, calamari and fish and chips. Our favorites were the empanadas and fish and chips very tasty and delicious! Unfortunately, I can't say that I'm a fan. I stopped in because I needed to kill time while charging my car. Right off the bat, the vibe was weird. We got seated at a table that was in the middle of the a tunnel. Since we were there for a few minutes without a server or anyone who seemed to be interested in our table (and the surrounding ones), my family and I ordered two Gaucho burgers (one without habanero chimichuri) and two Gaucho Breakfast Platters via the QR code that was available on the table. As we were placing the order, a waitress walked up to take our order but we were already done. She asked if we wanted waters and brought us plastic togo cups of water. After 10-15 min, it was too cold so we asked if we could move inside. The waitress said that since we ordered through the QR code she couldn't make any changes. So I said, "so, is that a no?" She went to ask someone and eventually we were allowed to move inside. When the food finally came, we were disappointed that the waitress didn't know that the burgers were different. Thank god it was only a sauce removal since one of the kids couldn't eat spicy - what if it was an allergy? The burgers were mediocre at best and the fries were soggy. The breakfast platter had 5 things (bread, eggs, bacon, sausage, and potatoes) and only the bacon was good. The sausage tasted funny and the eggs were bland. Definitely wasn't my cup of tea. read more

I stopped by on a Thursday to see what the hype is all about. I've seen this place a couple times on my social media and saved it for when I wanted a lil drink and bite. The entrance was a little hard to find as all of the entrances by the parking lot is closed off, you actually have to go all the way around. I was out here looking SILLY finding all the staircases and walkways blocked off just to go all the way around. There's two parts I guess? A cafe and a restaurant. I sat at the bar. I ordered some chips and salsa to start with and boy was that not good. That salsa tasted more like a tomato sauce. It looked like it too! I didn't take a photo but I kid you not it looked like tomato puree. I was extremely disappointed I only had about 4-6 dips until I realized I couldn't stomach it. Seriously, I don't know if they decided to just blend tomatoes with seasoning or what but it's the most interesting salsa I have been served with chips! Next I had ordered the Korean short rib bites, which was actually really tasty. It kinda made up for the tomato puree situation. BUT. there was 80% bone and 20% meat. I was about to pick up the bones to start eating any type of meat off of it clean. unfortunately there were too many people around for me to do that. otherwise it was a great flavor and tender but just honestly minimal meat. For a drink I ordered the Mercado. It was definitely a refreshing drink and was super enjoyable by the beach. It was a fitting drink that I would order again! I personally love cucumber and how refreshing it is so this was up my alley for sure. The overall service was very attentive and quick. There's no complaints there. I would only drink here instead of getting the food honestly. The ambiance is pretty nice, being right on the beach is super convenient to go on a hot girl walk after. read more

I came here on a weekday with family and it didn't seem crowded. I was dissatisfied in the amount of time it took to receive our order, considering the crowd. There are nice seating areas and there's a great view of the beach. You can also watch people while you eat. I ordered a cheeseburger which was prepared well and tasty. Unfortunately my sister's order was a disappointment. Her chicken appeared to be pink and not well cooked. She ordered the Pechuga La Brasa. They were considerate not charge us for the chicken, which I respect. If service time was a bit faster, I would reconsider. Overall, it was an ok experience. read more

We ordered the Thai Iced Tea, Calamari S&P, Crab Rangoon, Seafood Medley (medium spice), Orange Chicken, Pad See Ew with chicken, and Spicy Fried Rice with chicken (medium spice). Every dish came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor. The Calamari S&P was crispy and seasoned perfectly, the Crab Rangoon had a great crunch with a creamy filling, and the Seafood Medley was packed with seafood and had just the right level of spice and leftover sauce for the white rice on the side. The Orange Chicken was crispy with a flavorful sauce, the Pad See Ew was rich, and the Spicy Fried Rice had amazing flavor with a nice kick. The food, atmosphere, and especially the service made this such a great experience. You can tell the team works hard to keep everything running smoothly even during a rush. So far, our favorites have been the pad see ew, tom yum soup (medium spice), egg fried rice, fried calamari and the beef BBQ which was so good we immediately ordered a second plate. The mango sticky rice is also really good, but the portion is on the smaller side, so we ended up getting two orders since one plate is hard to share with more than 2-3 people. Parking has been easy for us so far since there's both a parking lot and nearby street parking. Definitely one of our favorite restaurants that's officially in our regular rotation.

Quite cheesy and full of flavors that a second order was had. A dish I do recommend for HH. We also had an order of the Brussels sprouts which was excellent. A nice glaze and crunchy with chunks of house cured pancetta. Nice big chunks I must say. Lastly the beef sliders with Wagyu beef patties. Honestly, this was the least favorite of the dishes we got. You would think it sounded great but it was quite tasteless and nothing major to report on. Served with brioche bun and shredded lettuce and tomatoes and a lemon aioli. I had high hope for it when I saw the group next to us order it but it was a little disappointing. Overall, the Mac and cheese, Caesar salad and Brussels sprouts were all hits. The sliders, disappointing. Other items on HH didn't look too ingesting for us but it was for other people. The rooftop lounge and bar area was the place to be when we were there. It picked up real fast after we got seated. Picnic style tables being occupied by large groups before HH ended. Just the rooftop alone was great and beautiful. It a place that's good for a drink and meal with friends. Downstairs was beautiful but seemed more of an intimate experience. Overall, it was a great choice for a meal during HH.

I've been walking by this charming beachside restaurant for months, and its stunning ocean views have finally convinced me to give it a try. The colorful buildings and lively atmosphere have made me curious about the delicious food and sunny spot it must offer. When parking, it's a good idea to download the Passport app, if you plan to go before 6pm especially when parking enforcement is out in full force. This way, you can pay for your parking spot quickly and easily, avoiding the risk of receiving a ticket in the time it takes to get back to your car. By paying for your parking through the app, you can ensure that you're not stuck with an unexpected fine, and you'll also be supporting the city's efforts to streamline parking payment processes. I was taken aback when we had to sit ourselves at a table, it's not something I'm used to at a beachfront restaurant like this. But, considering the stunning ocean views and the fact that it was a weekday, the lack of assigned seating wasn't a bad thing - it added to the casual, laid-back vibe of the place. Our waiter was friendly and enthusiastic, but it took a bit of time to get their attention - we had to wait for a while before someone came to take our order. Despite the delay, her demeanor remained warm and welcoming, and she made sure to check in on us regularly to ensure we had everything we needed. The pineapple Margarita was a decent drink, but it didn't quite live up to my expectations. The steak and chicken empanadas complicated were excellent! The steak was tender and juicy with a nice char, while the chicken was crispy on the outside and tender within. Both dishes were well-seasoned and allowed the natural flavors to shine through. My sister wasn't too thrilled with the fish and chips, unfortunately. She found the batter to be overdone, giving the fish an unpleasant texture. To make matters worse, the fish was prone to bursting with juice, which was a bit messy and unappetizing. The tartar sauce, which she thought would add a nice tanginess, ended up being off-putting instead, with a weird taste that didn't complement the dish well. arrived at the restaurant at approximately 3:55, waited for 10 minutes in the hall beside the bar for someone to acknowledge that we were present. we stated we would like a table for dinner and were told by the bartender take any table that's open. So we did five minutes later someone came over and cleaned the table and asked if we needed assistance.. we said we had come for dinner and she said I'll send over the waiter... 10 minutes later, the waiter arrived, and we told him we would like to have a menu.... He proceeds to find a menu and brings one menu for three people..... that's right one menu for three people.... we look over the menu and order two steaks, and one salad and calamari...... Approximately 15 minutes later, a server, not our waiter brings steak and the calamari..... Anticipating that the other stake was forthcoming, I was mistaken.... After requesting to see our waiter after 10 minutes, we asked where the other steak was..... said, let me look into it.... Five minutes late he shows up with the second steak..... The steak that was served to me was un edible..... I tried my best, but I just could not eat the steak...... I asked the server if he would send the waiter to me so that I could show him what my problem was...... after a five minute wait and no waiter I decided to go to the bar and ask for the manager.... I explained to him what the problem was and he could see that the steak was un eatable.... he did refund the money that I had paid for the steak....... I only wish that I would not have included a 20% tip for a waiter that was non-existent..... but that's what happens when you have to order pay for and include the tip before the meal is served..... this is a poor poor policy....... So buyer beware if you plan on using this restaurant, I wouldn't pay before you see what you are about to receive.... with the service and food as poor as it was presented to us this restaurant will not be around very long..... Can't even begin to describe how awful this place is!!!!! As a former employee for Almost a year... If only you all knew what was taking place behind closed doors!!!! To start You wouldn't believe the amount of CROSS CONTAMINATION happening here. The surfaces food is prepared on is absolutely disgusting and never ever ever cleaned or sanitized. They don't even wash dishes with soap or sanitizer and only spray them off and run through the machine with water. Health Code Violations? Ha! Long Beach is Notorious for Health Departments not doing their jobs and being paid off by places like this that are owned by the city. The amount of rodents and bugs and disgust in and around this place would make anyone never want to step foot near here again. This place seriously needs to be shut down immediately due to HEALTH CODE VIOLATIONS The owners of Guacho? Who are they? Management? Who are they as well? Who actually controls what's Happening here? The amount of corners being cut to just make money is insane. There is no management and employees are left constantly having to pick up the slack of the business. Employees give inventory through group chat to a manager and that manager then gives the order to his manager and then that person doesn't order what's needed on time for the business to have what's on the menus and then the employees are left telling customers we're out of items. This has been going on since the start and has not changed. I could literally keep going and going and going with how horrible this place was and is. The amount of employees you see come and go, the lacking all around from everyone is ridiculous. PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF LONG BEACH SOMEONE SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN!!!!!!
