Went here for a team dinner on a weekday. Were seated promptly and the service was good, but the food wsa very average. We tried their appetizer platter and the chicken sandwiches as well as steaks and nothing really stood out. Will go back to try more of the drinks but probably pass on the food.
Came to celebrate my birthday with a brunch that did not disappoint. There's no live DJ on Sunday but that did not take away from the experience. From our amazing sever Dess to the drinks to the food everything was covered for a great experience. The shrimp and grits was a perfect balance only change I would make is no bacon( personal preference). The shrimp were perfect size and grits were not too runny or thick! I also enjoyed their mini pancakes as they were perfect size and flavor! Also.. $30 unlimited drinks for 90 mins spells out GOOD time to me
The service was quick here and the smashburger entree was pretty good, however I wouldn't say it was a smashburger. I typically enjoy smashburgers that have the crispy edges, but this one was more like a normal burger. The drinks were very underwhelming. We ordered the Chai White Russian and it was unpleasantly very strong. I don't mind a strong drink, but I didn't get the Chai flavor. Overall, it just wasn't balanced.
Gatsby made for such a fun and unexpectedly perfect Saturday afternoon brunch spot. We had a reservation and went earlier in the day, which turned out to be ideal because the space is flooded with natural light. The restaurant itself is really cute--open, airy, and surprisingly spacious. You take an elevator up to the second floor, and our table was right next to a huge window, which made the whole experience feel bright and relaxed. There's also additional seating throughout, so it never felt cramped. One of the funniest contrasts, though, is the bathroom situation. The dining area is light, bright, and open... and then you walk into the bathrooms and suddenly it's very dark, moody, and dramatic. Total vibe shift, but honestly kind of amusing and on-brand in its own way. We opted for the bottomless brunch, which runs on a two-hour timer. I appreciated how organized it was--our server gave us a small paper letting us know exactly when our last drink could be ordered. What really sets Gatsby apart from other bottomless brunches, though, is that you aren't locked into just one drink. There's a full variety of cocktails to choose from, which makes the experience feel way more elevated and less repetitive. Both the host and our server were incredibly friendly and attentive. Our server especially was on it--she made sure our drinks were never empty and was already asking what we wanted next before we even finished our current one. As we were wrapping up, she asked if we liked champagne and then brought out a bottle with a sparkler, which was such a cute touch. I'm not sure if every bottomless brunch table gets one, but either way, it definitely added to the celebratory feel. For food, we ordered the potato pancakes, cinnamon rolls, a classic breakfast, and the grilled chicken avocado sandwich. Everything was really solid and satisfying--comforting brunch food done well, with generous portions. Overall, Gatsby feels like one of those places that works for almost any occasion. While we were there, I saw couples on dates, Galentine's Day groups, and birthday brunch celebrations. It's also located directly across from the baseball stadium, making it a great spot to grab food and drinks before a game or just sit by the window and people-watch on a busy weekend. Definitely a place I'd return to when I'm back in D.C.
Nothing Great about this Gatsby. It's not a bad restaurant but I won't be returning. For starters, the milkshake was very meh. I'm sure (I hope) they use real ingredients but it tasted very artificial. The bread on my monte cristo was too hard and crunchy. I was afraid I would cut the inside of my mouth.
Good option for happy hour. Located in the heart of Navy Yard and right across from the stadium, this place is a nice vibe! It was my first time, but certainly won't be my last! Not too far from the Navy Yard metro. Met a friend for happy hour. On a Tuesday it wasn't super packed around 3. Their happy hour drink specials start at 11:30 (yes you read that right). The food specials start at 4. It was a game day so it got more full closer to game time but not overly packed. Our server, Dominic (or Donovan)..I forgot his name, but he was great! Very engaging and friendly. I enjoyed the Greta's punch cocktail and the reuben eggrolls. I want to try their brunch!
Tried out their restaurant week $25 brunch special on Saturday and everything was so amazing. It came with an appetizer, entree, and desert. My favorite dish was desert which was the cinnamon buns -- so yummy. We received lovely customer service from our server who made sure we were taken care of. I'll definitely go back and recommend you to check it out.
I guess it's been awhile since I updated my review. I'm still a big fan of gatsby! My husband loves the smash burger. Their deviled eggs and cinnamon buns are also great. This time I tried the new matzoh ball soup and it was good. It's small, as it's in the appetizer menu, but that was what I expected. We had great attentive service today. The place does get very very loud when full and not great for large groups. Better for a small party.
My work colleagues and I went here for a holiday luncheon, and I was not impressed. I had a mocktail which was very flavorful, but the deviled eggs, while looked amazing, lacked in flavor. I also had the grilled chicken Caesar salad. It wasn't the worst salad that I've had, but it also was not the best. The staff was very nice and friendly, but when they brought out the water, it was room temperature and they did not ask if we wanted ice. The wait staff, was also the bartender did not bring straws for the table and everyone else didn't enjoy their food as well. Some of the members in my party said that they enjoyed brunch and dinner when they had come before, but their lunch wasn't it for me. I did love the Gatsby theme, which was very cute but overall this is not a place that I must try again.
Brunch anyone....!!! Yes, we stopped into Gatsby for bottomless brunch. This is definitely a Uber ride...parking does not exist. OK, let's discuss food..it was ok, the devil eggs were lacking flavor...well presented but not overwhelming. The chicken, ohhh god...the batter, flavor, great and cooked to the bone. Shrimp and grits..ok, needed some gravy...but not a zero. The issue for me was we chose the family platter (all you can eat) was a lot of eggs, and bread. The service, excellent. Wish I could have taken the server home to work my kitchen ...he made sure out gastronomic needs were met. The ambience was great, we were seared with a view of Nationals Park.... worth the visit!!!!
Located right across the street from Washington Nationals baseball stadium, my mother and I had a fantastic time at Gatsby. The food was delicious. We have Christmas brunch here and it did not disappoint. They a a multi-coursed meal with tons of food. Some of the main entrees were a bit large so we had to ask for our last course Togo, but better to have too much than too little to eat. The service was great and I thank the staff for serving us on Christmas Day. The ambience was a little confusing since the theme was supposed to be 1920s "Great Gatsby" but it was mostly giving fancy sports bar with a few 1920s motifs. The bathroom was so dark that I could barely see my reflection in the mirror, and you might as well forget about trying to fix your makeup. All good though. Thank you!
Well styled (1920s theme), great kocation (steps from the 3rd base entrance to the ball park, and great food (it was so good I couldn't wait to get a picture until I'd eaten half the food)! I highly recommend. Service was great on a Saturday early evening with no wait. TVs had football games on at low volume so it was still great for a conversation half way through a bike ride. We'll be back!
I tell you those 2-3 hours flew by her and the bottomless brunch at Gatsby! Now only the ambience is like an old elegant vibe...the DJ was playing all the hot hits and even had a cute update Photo Booth that me and my girls took full advantage of...lol This was my first time here but definitely will not be my last! Bottomless brunch is well worth it and the signature drink which slips my mind now. Was top tier! We got our money's worth for sure! I opted for the crab Benedict and the matzo ball soup which both were flavorful and delicious. It was a chill in the air when we got there but by time 3-hours hit we had warmed up! So don't walk run to the bottomless brunch here because I mostly likely we see you there in the near future!
Gatsby is my go to spot for brunch at that Navy Yard. This day I went with family, and the manager did a good job of accommodating all 10 of us a day before my reservation. Kudos Day of, we weren't able to be seated until everyone showed. As you can imagine, getting 10 people to show up at one place, at the same time, within a 15 minute window, IN DC is almost impossible. The manager had explained that we all needed to be there to be seated at the time I made reservation, but it was kind of weird to be hanging out in the vestibule in a restaurant that was empty. Something for you to consider when booking a large party. Nonetheless, as usual the food was fantastic and everyone was satisfied. Our waitress rocked!!! Order the Gatsby Bites. It's a platter that comes with the deviled eggs, ribs, and wings. On and the smash burger (pictured). read more

Went here for happy hour last Friday and enjoyed myself. Cool spot with a nice atmosphere. They have decently priced items and a variety of items to eat. I like that they had more than three food items on happy hour. Y'all know there are spots where they don't offer a lot of food deals lol. I had the mumbo wings and the smashburger and fries. Yes, I ate it ALL. The wings were perfection! Crisp and juicy at the same damn time! And I love that there was a nice kick to the mumbo sauce. The burger was good and the fries were good as well. I drank Greta's punch as my beverage of choice per the bartender's recommendation. I don't care for vodka too much these days but this drink was delicious! If you need to FEEL it more, then I recommend adding a shot of vodka. read more

I'm sad to say I fell for the influencer trap. I saw this spot circulating on social media and put it at the top of my brunch list. I came here on a late afternoon date. We were able to snag reservations same day for after brunch hours. Upon entry I was seated problem at a small booth between the bar and back exist. The decor of the restaurant is super nice: somewhere in between trendy and romantic. We were given menus with dinner entrees and cocktails (include the No Prohibition drink list). My date and I ordered two different cocktails from the No Prohibition menu and apps to starts. We told the server we'd continue looks at the menu for our entire. The No Prohbition special menu is a selection of the cocktail, beer and wine menu for $39.99 PP with the purchase of entrees. The only time mentioned was a 90 min limit, but no start or end time. Our first round of drinks arrive and we order our entrees. Our apps arrive and they were delicious. We got the calamari and deviled eggs. We're eating for a while but it takes an hour before our servers stops by our table again to check in. When she does, we promptly order another round. She drops it off, clears the table and asks us if we need anything else. She mentions that she had clocked out, but they were supposed to assign our table to the bar. We then go back and forth bc we've only been there for a little over an hour and if drinks are a 90 min limit and we've only had 2, why are we being rushed. Turns out, she never rang us up for the No Prohibition and our drinks were ala carte. She then explained if we wanted to start that drink special we would be starting over because that menu was "just starting" though we'd been there for close to 90 mins and had already finished our apps and entrees. That didn't make any sense to us, so we asked for the check. So all in all, we only got served 2 drinks over the span of 90 mins, so even if we had done the special it would not have been worth it since the bar was backed up. The food was pretty good, specifically the mashed potatoes, pork ribs and calamari. The prime rib lacked salt/pepper and the punch cocktail was super sweet. I'll give this restaurant another shot, but I'm in not in a rush. Oh and someone changed the Commanders game to QVC on game day . read more

We gad a time at Gatsby!!! The vibe was nice & food was good. I think we went on a super busy day because it was a little hard to order drinks but our waitress was so cool she was putting it out drinks back to back. Love her !! Will go back read more

Avocado benedict was pretty good but the bread got pretty moist/wet, which is a bit unfortunate. The cinnamon roll was so warm and soft and the cream frosting was so sweet. It might have been the best cinnamon roll I've had in the DMV. Service was pretty nice/standard, and food comes out quickly. They seem really busy on the weekends so definitely make reservations. read more
Popped in for a last minute Sunday brunch noon reservation and had a nice time at Gatsby! We decided to take advantage of the bottomless drinks option and our server, Emily, was lovely and checked on us often, making sure we got our money's worth with a solid 4+ rounds in the 90 minute window. Food + drinks + vibe was a solid 4 as the food was solid but not amazing. Last/random: The restrooms on the top floor were also almost laughably dark. Like I actually had to use the flashlight on my phone it was so hard to see, which feels a bit dangerous. read more

The Gatsby is an 1920s themed restaurant in Navy Yard with elevated American diner food. There's a good variety of options from sandwiches to meat loaf and chicken pot pie. I liked the burger, it almost tastes like a better version of a Big Mac. But I think the best deal is their bottomless drinks option. With a purchase of an entree you can add this to option to your dinner after 5 pm or your weekend brunch for $30. It's 90 mins and you choose from about 5 drinks along with select beer and wine. The service is pretty good, food comes out quick and they stay on it with the drink refills. read more
Nicholas M was our server & he was AMAZING! We arrived sunday for brunch and were immediately seated, and he was already pouring our water in glasses! He was super attentive & continued to check on my group & refill our bottomless drink almost immediately after finishing them! (if you are having at least 2 drinks..the bottomless is super worth it. Keep in mind the whole table has do bottomless if one person purchases it..for obvious reasons. Food was delicious!!!!! Eggs super fluffy and cooked to perfection. The breakfast potatoes had so much flavor, nothing else was needed. The pancakes were the perfect size & had a bit of sweetness to them!! So Good!! The restaurant is a prime location, across from the stadium so we could see all the things going on outside before the game started. Would visit this location again, 10/10 experience!! read more
Great location, modern decor, big wall murals, pleasant atmosphere and well prepared food. Outstanding service. A great value for restaurant week. We ordered: 4.5 *ARANCINI: deep fried Italian rice balls that are stuffed with yellow squash, parmesan, and marinara. Crispy and delicious! 4*MURRAY'S ROASTED 1/2 CHICKEN & charred asparagus: a very generous portion, it was hard for me to finish. The chicken was flavorful and slightly dry, but almost unnoticeable. If you have a big appetite, order it. 5*GRILLED SHRIMP COBB SALAD included bacon, gorgonzola, cherry tomato, egg, avocado, romaine, croutons, russian dressing: very fresh and healthy. 4.2*HEAVENLY CHEESECAKE graham cracker crust, seasonal fruit, whipped cream: rich and good. 4*BROWNIE SUNDAE vanilla ice cream, caramel sauce, whipped cream: rich and very sweet. read more
Honestly may just be my experience but the bar on a Sunday! Too good! Got served by Jimmy, Gustavo and Reuben - they are so attentive easy to communicate with and patient with requests. I've come here for breakfast, lunch, HH; you name it! Their bottomless brunch is NO NONSENSE when it comes to the two hour time limit (I'm talking...they put a card on the table of the exact time your 2 hours are over, AND you can't get another drink before handing the staff your old glass; no nonsense) It seemed a little childish but I guess they have enough horror stories of folks being overserved that it's necessary?? Anyways, super pretty art deco vibes. Nice staff, good eats. HH is decent, I wish there were more food options though. read more
Food: Mussels: 9/10-- flavorful & juicy, but a lot of the shells were empty -_- Lasagna: 7/10-- nothing special about it lol Drinks: We got the "No Prohibition" which is 90 mins of unlimited dermis for $38.99! --10/10, highly recommend!! They do not skimp on the liquor, so if you're a 2-3+ cocktail type of person I highly recommend this option. Gretas Punch: The liquor is in thereeeeee! LOL! As my friend said, it was punching her Icebox Daiquiri: Super refreshing & yummy Chai White Russian: If you're a chai tea girly like me I'd recommend this as the night cap choice! I enjoyed it, the girls didn't Cute spot for girls night, date night, happy hour, late night drinks & lite bites. I'd most likely return for brunch or drinks & lite bites though, because the menu didn't really move me. Our server was kinda eh, & her recommendations weren't that great. read more

When some of your friends swear that you'll love this place and some of your friends tell you that they only come here for the drinks, you go with no expectations. After visiting, I'm a "meh". Ordered the Blue Plate special of mussels and truffle French fries. The mussels were okay: A but smaller than what I was expecting. My first order of French fries arrived cold, so I had to request a new order. My first drink, a mule, arrived in a glass, not a copper mug, which was a bit off-putting in addition to it tasting mediocre. For my second drink, I just ordered wine. The ambiance is very nice: Roaring '20s theme (thus its name). But, I wouldn't be keen in returning here. read more
Visited this place for a quick happy hour and was not discounted. I ordered the sangria and the wings. The wings were cooked to perfection every bite was flavorful and crunchy. The sangria was also delicious. I would definitely be back for happy hour but I would love to try the brunch. read more
We had a good pre-game experience here. The service was good, and the food was more than decent. The ambiance and decor was very reminiscent of the restaurant's name. My chicken sandwich was well constructed with a very large chicken breast, a generous portion of crispy bacon, and fresh lettuce and tomatoes. While there were plenty of crispy fries, they were a bit light on the parmesan front. The drinks were light and refreshing, and the staff were accommodating of our group as new people arrived for drinks prior to the Nationals game. Overall, we had a very good time here. read more
12'26'2022 Hubby and I visited this place after a local activity. Oh course I located them on Yelp !! Great find as expected! This place was so easy to find and cutesy !! Parking could have been a problem as it's very limited but the Parking Gods were kind to us. Anyhoo, we walked in and were seated immediately. This place was absolutely gorge !! We collectively ordered the following. HH - Old Bay Wings - Perfect draining and texture. HH - Smashburger - Great seasoning and flavor !! HH - Greta's Punch - Very smooth and tasty. HH - Greta's Toddy - Yum !! Did what we needed to do. Murray's Roasted 1/2 Chicken - Winner Winner Chicken Dinner... Literally !! Malaki & Rasheetz assisted us during this dining experience and they were awesome!! Consistent, pleasant and professional. This place was so good that hubby and I were already discussing when we are going to return !! If you haven't visited Gatsby, what are you waiting for !! read more

This is one of my favorite bar/restaurants in Navy Yard. I came to grab dinner and have a couple drinks with my family after a long week. We enjoyed the kids meal: half smoke, fries, apple juice & a scoop of ice cream. My partner had the smash burger & an espresso martini. I had the calamari & fries (girl dinner)! And of course the Tequila Sunset which was surprisingly strong for a premixed slushie drink. Emily was the best and so attentive. I also love the vibe in here bcus it gives upscale casual. Perfect for after work happy, family dinner or a cute date night. Definitely remind!! read more

Let's start with the Aesthetics!!!! It's so beautiful in here. Although this isn't my first time, this is my first review. I really enjoyed my time here. The music was a vibe, the bartender Crystal, was phenomenal. Please ask for her. Tell her, Tish, sent you. I started off with a glass of Prosecco and 3 deviled eggs. They come with pastrami, but I'm pescatarian so I asked for it to be taken off, they did not disappoint. The flavor packed into that yolk mixture was out of this world. Next I enjoyed some fried calamari. It came with fried pickles and lemons. The flavor was refreshing and crisp. The crunch of the calamari was surprisingly good. And the marinara was not too much. It pair extremely well with the calamari. For my entree I enjoyed a shrimp Cobb salad no bacon. And the dressing wasn't overpowering and really did the salad justice. The portions of the food are plentiful. You won't be disappointed in the slightest. I truly enjoyed my visit. And it wasn't expensive at all. Def worth a try. read more
Food was about average. Something you and I could easily do at home to be honest. Nothing screams wow I would come back and get this again. Service was great. We had reservations which is a must have to secure seats for brunch. The restaurant had two stories and a nice vibe with a bar at the bottom facing directly infront of the baseball stadium. Parking can be very very tricky. I found a spot infront of the restaurant/stadium however it was only allowing me to pay 2hrs max on the park mobile app (around $5). You cant renew it on your phone. It will say you need to move your car to a different zone. So I went outside to pay the meter which allowed me to extend it. However not knowing you're suppose to put the receipt on the dash I got a $50 ticket. So for those dining here in the future be aware. read more

Okay so we went here on Mother's Day May 2024. Brunch Firstly the food was average for most of the party. The deviled eggs were creamy but bland. The all American breakfast was ordered by most, was mediocre and COLD making the food unappetizing. The chicken pie was warm and the crust was surprisingly and crispy, the filling/sauce a bit too liquidy. Yeah it could be a thicker gravy. The smash burger came late and was soggy- too many onions. The service overall was the shining star here and the ambiance was really nice and welcoming. We enjoyed the pitchers of Greta, their flagship cocktail, but too much ice for a brunch drink. Our server Angie did her best for a party of 11 and 3 little ones. We will go back and give the food another try... read more

Gatsby is everything it says it is: a cute, comfortable, "elevated take on comfort food". The bar is big and spacious, the ceilings high, creating an open-air vibe. The art-deco decor gives the place just the right amount of fancy without it feeling stiff or too over the top. I live a few blocks away, so I've been to Gatsby more times than I can count. The happy hour is an AMAZING deal, and that alone gets 5 stars. At full price, the food is tasty, filling, and the drinks fairly strong, but there's nothing that puts Gatsby over the top. Most recently, I got the mussels that weee delicious and perfectly prepared, and my partner got the chicken pot pie, which was just okay (the crust was super sweet). The service is consistent and reliable. All in all, a good experience and I'll be coming back soon. read more

I've been wanting to try Gatsby for a while. Located in Navy Yard, it's not too far from where I live. I went straight for the bar because there was no one at the front entrance. The bartender greeted me warmly and offered me water. Once someone went to the front, I asked for a table without a reservation and they squeezed me in between a later resy. I was thankful! For the food and drinks! I started with the bees knees which was served in a cute bear class. I love a drink with gin and this hit the spot! For brunch, I went with the bacon egg and cheese croissant. The first thing I noticed was no bacon! However upon further inspection, the bacon was actually small pieces in the scrambled eggs. My expectation was slices of bacon. The manager on duty came to our table and offered to exchange my dish. He was SUPER sweet about it and actually recommended the French toast which was freshly made to order. The French toast is made with Hawaiian rolls and was delicious! Between the food and service, I'll definitely be back! read more
Nice and calm atmosphere. It is literally only 5 steps away from the Washington Nationals stadium. Staff is nice and friendly and makes you feel welcomed when you first walk in the door. Dim lighting, if you like that. Not a big fan of it but didn't bother me. Clean bar that sits in the middle of the main dining area with tvs all around to watch games. There are 2 more levels. Parking isn't ideal though. There is some street parking but you will be very lucky to find a spot. I had to park in a parking lot a little further than what I would like but the walk wasn't that bad. Second level is where restrooms are and third is for more dining. Just had a regular drink, lemonade but it was still very good. I ordered the seafood linguini. The squid ink pasta was cooked perfectly along with the rest of the seafood and sauce. I thought the portion size was too small to be an entree and I was still hungry. So I also order the meatloaf. This is was the right size for an entree and a hefty portion. Some of the ends of the meatloaf were a little burnt but once you get pass that, it was cooked the way it should be. Would definitely come back again. Waiter said that their brunch is very popular and very good. read more
So if you're looking for tasty, affordable, and nice aesthetic brunch, PLEASE GO TO GATBSY!! I'm so upset that I'm just now finding out about this place (through tik tok), but I visited here for brunch on my bday weekend and I wouldn't change the experience for anything! Our server Nicholas was amazing, an absolute delight! He kept our bottomless drinks coming and would surprise us with flavors from time to time (he offered and we gladly accepted as an indecisive libra lol). The manager and host checked on us often to ensure we were happy with our brunch food and if we needed anything... NOW THATS CUSTOMER SERVICE. So customer service was definitely a 10/10. The ambiance of Gatsby is inviting, classy and absolutely gorgeous. Parking can be tricky so we ubered! There's street parking available but it's hard to find spots. The food was delicious and had huge portions, we started with the cinnamon roll (delicious, warm, sweet) and the all American breakfast which comes with eggs, bacon, breakfast potatoes AND pancakes (they're trying to make me fat haha). We also got a side of Mac and cheese just to try it and it was really good, cheesy, creamy and crispy on the top! The food was filling and delicious and the drinks were strong yet sweet! I had a great time and would definitely return! Perfect for a date! They even brought me a free dessert for my bday with a candle! If you're looking for brunch, this is it! Definitely one of the best brunches I've had in DC for a long time. read more
I came here with no pre-conceived notions, but let me tell you, my expectations were high as soon as I walked through the doors! The decor and theme were so cool, I instantly wanted to like this place. However, your host and hostess really set the tone for this meal. First, they quote us a 2 hour wait......... there was one person sitting in the lobby, it took no more than 15-20. Then, the hostess that comes to take us upstairs looks pisssseddddd the whole way and doesn't say a word to us. Instant bad vibes. We eventually had a server come, it took almost an hour to get our drinks. She was attentive though, realizing we were hungry, and took the initiative to check on our food. Overall, your server is what added the extra stars to this. However, the food was mediocre. For vegans, there was no vegan Caesar salads. There were entrees they could modify by removing the meat and still charging you for it, or there was porridge.... Which you could easily make at home. This is not your spot. Also, mid-day Saturday trying to go for a nice meal, I literally felt like I was in a sorority house with a bunch of screaming and wasted women all around me. Loudest restaurant I've been to in a while, so just consider what kind of vibe you're looking before when choosing to come here. read more

I really enjoyed the food here, it was seasoned well. My drink was great and it came in the cutest glass. The server was kind and attentive. It's beautiful in this restaurant. The vibes are a 10/10. The restroom I used had "water" on the ground, well I hope it was water. I'm surprised I hadn't been here before. I sat on the 2nd floor and had a nice view of Nats stadium. I'd love to come back when there is a game going on. The restaurant is nice, overall i'd give it a 8/10. I wish the bathroom was a little cleaner and wanted the menu to have more options. read more
We made a reservation since we had never been here before and needless to say, it wasn't needed at 9pm on a Saturday. I think since it was a bit chilly outside and there were no sports games, the area wasn't really poppin' off. The theme of the restaurant carries through to all areas of the restaurant from the menu, to the silverware, to the art deco fixtures and decor, to the uniforms of the waitstaff. It was somewhat dimly lit to keep with the vibe. We started with tofu spring rolls. They were cold and not fried...which was okay and I would say they weren't remarkable and neither was the peanut sauce. The drink I wanted to order was unavailable due to supply chain issues so I opted for the NY Sour (Maker's Mark bourbon, lemon, demerara syrup, red wine foam). It was quite tasty and the red wine foam was interesting. It seemed like the foam was infused with fresh strawberry or raspberry because that is what I could smell as I lifted the glass to my face. Cheers to that! They have an all-day breakfast, so I ordered the All-American sans the bacon due to being a vegetarian. They let you substitute more eggs or potatoes or extra pancakes so I got extra pancakes. The pancakes were a little bigger than silver dollars. So that was a relief because I was starting to think my eyes were a bit bigger than my stomach. The meal came with a very healthy portion of eggs and potatoes, so I became super full and only made it halfway through all the items. We also ordered the veggie of the day which was some sort of green tomato parmesan. That was totally bomb dot com! Soooo good and just the right portion size with just the right amount of cheese and sauce. Nothing too heavy and not super rich. Since I was already full I thought....why not add dessert? I opted for one scope of lemon sorbet to cleanse the palate and wind things down. I did have a small scoop of the Watergate Cake and that was to die for. Very light and airy and not overwhelmingly sweet. The waitstaff and servers were all very nice and jovial as well. Everything was top notch. Why 4 stars then? Well, I save 5 stars for places where my socks are knocked off. The food was great. The theme was on point throughout. The staff were neato but that last star is for WOW factor. There is lots of competition in DC, so I may come back and re-evaluate after some more experience. Maybe if I visit again, I will be wowed but I'm a bit of tough cookie. read more

Do they have heated outdoor seating?
The restaurant scene is constantly changing, I would suggest given them a call to inquire what they are doing now. I would hate to give you my experience and you show up and it's totally changed.
