30 mins plus on the outside 3 servers later not even a hello how can I help you. I had to approach them and ask for help, then the girl says I've been cut for like 30 mins sorry can't help. I ask for manager to another server she informed me that they were then all of a sudden another server comes out and tries to take my order 45 minutes later still no manager I had to after being so angry to try to get a manager on the phone and then I finally spoke manager. She was very nice, but I will tell you that the there. Honestly, we're not very good. Gators is a great sports bar type spot with the views of the lake. The neighborhood we drove through to get here was also very nice. Even though we missed happy hour, they had all you can eat wings on a Monday! Wings were nice and crispy. They let us sit outside and enjoy the views. The only reason i knocked out a star is because they let people smoke in the outside area while you eat and they had fans running(that they can't shut off) which created quite the draft especially later in the evening. This is in a great location, right by the lake. There is ample seating and even if you don't sit outside, you get plenty of sunlight inside as well. The menu is huge, portions are great and the fries are amazing. You can split an entree with someone if you aren't too hungry, or save them as leftovers like I did. The only awkward part is the way the waitress was holding the handheld cash register while you were paying for your food. The default tip options are either 25%, 20% or 18%. She's holding it across 3 people while you sign. You cannot hold it and decide for yourself. I have never experienced this before and don't appreciate this. This is hella awkard. And I am not sure if tip was calculated based on the base price of the food, or after tax. That being said, for a large group, I don't think they added a silly surcharge (many restaurants say parties greater than 6 have a surcharge). Our waitress was very nice and patient with my indecisive self lol. The male employee who works there changed the station to the basketball game we wanted to watch which was nice. The mozz sticks were good. The mango habenero chicken tenders were amazing ! The blackened chicken over ceaar was dry and not flavorful at all will pass on that next time. We met up with a group from work to do Wednesday night trivia at Gator's and had so much fun. The place was super busy but servers kept up with tables and made it look easy -- which I know is anything but easy. They have a huge menu with choices ranging from wing (regular and boneless), salads, sandwiches, and even bowl options with lots of veggies. I never saw a drink menu but I'm assuming there was a QR code for it somewhere that I missed. Trivia was super engaging and just the right mix of questions. I struggled to hear a few of the questions because the restaurant was so busy but the host repeated questions and was extremely helpful. We ordered a salad, bowl, and a cauliflower dish with garlic parm sauce and blue cheese. Everything was good -- nothing over the top amazing but definitely more elevated that typically bar food. I ordered the black and bleu burger with swiss cheese. It was good- not great, not bad. I tried to go a little healthier and not get fries. I asked what the seasoned vegetables were and I was told steamed carrots, broccoli and cauliflower. I ordered that on the side. That was NOT the vegetables they brought me. Instead it was a bowl that included corn and minced onions and peas. I should've gotten the french fries! So I wasn't happy about that. I tried a new beer and drank about half of it before I was pretty convinced the beer was old or stale. I went inside to check out the draft beers and they have a decent selection. My boyfriend and two of our best friends visited Gator's because we were in the area and our first choice was way too packed. I do enjoy the location of this Gator's. The view is lovely and we chose to sit outside to enjoy the cooler day. However we sat for about 15 minutes before a server took our drink order and that was only after our friend asked if we had a server. Once the server (Natalia I believe) became aware of our presence, she was fine and checked on us regularly. The food itself though was just average. I ordered a West Coast chicken sandwich with a side of Mac and cheese. The sandwich was just okay. It was very dry but I requested mayo and that helped. Even then though the piece of chicken was so strangely shaped that many bites were only avocado and bun. The Mac and cheese was average; nothing to write home about. I decided to try this place since it's here in Baldwin Park. And soon I found out it was a terrible decision. I came to place an order to go - 2 burgers and one order of cheese sticks. It was for take out so I know you don't have to give tips when its for take out but either way I did and I did it right away, I didn't wait for the food to arrive. Terrible mistake. The restaurant was almost empty, there were maybe 8 people at most. The thing is that I waited over 35 minutes for 2 burgers and cheese sticks and when I realize I was waiting almost 40 minutes in an almost empty restaurant I went to the hostess and asked hey I would like to know where my burgers are, I've been here almost 40 minutes and this place is empty. The answer for the hostess was oh here is your food. Well when I got to my house (that is maybe 2 minutes away) all the food was cold and tasted bad because it was cold. Who is going to like a cold burger? I tried the burgers and everything was just too cold to even try to eat them so I had to throw them away. See this is why you never tip upfront. read more

I recently tagged along with some friends for Monday night football, and the atmosphere for watching sports is fun.. but I don't imagine myself returning here for the food anytime soon. This could 100% have a lot to do with why I didn't like my food, because they are known for their wings - not veggie options. He was looking at it for so long and I had no idea what they were doing with it back there. Typical sports bar type of place. They have a nice outdoor seating area and great location. Beers at the bar are usually fairly cheap and they have some great daily specials each week - like the all you can eat wings! Food is OK - what you would expect. Items on the menu are a bit pricey for what they are. Would recommend getting the wings or the Wingers. Staff is usually friendly and helpful. Lots of TVs - so would recommend coming here to watch a game. Location is fairly big so it works well with big groups. I am guilty of going to this place a bit too often now. My boyfriend and I recently moved to a complex within walking distance of Gator's and it has become our default for lunches, drinks, etc. I'm sure there is plenty of street parking - can't really verify since we walk here. We missed the front door the first time but kept note to look out for a Gator called Hollow which you'll find next to the front doors. You can sit inside or outside, with great views of the lake with either option. Their menu is very expansive. From wings, to salads, to gyros, to seafood. I LOVE Wings, especially grilled wings which I don't come by too often with a lot of places. When I discovered that you have options besides fried, I was excited - grilled it was. I ordered the wings lunch special and my boyfriend had a salad. Our waitress was attentive and filled our drinks often. Lunch wasn't too busy if you get their around 11am which is what we did since we're early lunch people. The food didn't take too long to come by. Both were great - which is why we're going to be regulars. I think this is a great place to take friends to chill and enjoy good drinks and food. What they offer is affordable (don't expect anything super fancy but you get a lot for what you pay for - good food and service) and there's plenty of space. There's a lot working for Gator's Dockside, but there are a few things that left a bit to be desired. The location is top notch- right at the best part of New Broad, just in front of Lake Baldwin. I didn't have any trouble finding parking, but had I needed to park a block or two away, I would have been more than happy with the walk! They have a hug spot and it is filled with TVs, bars, and windows (a big plus!). Outdoor seating abounds and even if you're inside you get to enjoy tons of natural light. We were there on a Wednesday, which meant that there was trivia going on, but only 12 teams and it wasn't too loud for us not playing along. I ordered the fish dip which was pretty good. It had a great, smoked flavor and they served us quite a big scoop. It came with cracker packets, which I thought was a bit odd at first, but when taking some to-go I realized that they'd stay crisp, so there's that! My big disappointment was with one of their signature dishes (designated on the menu)- their fried gator bites (an appetizer). As a signature item I had admittedly high hopes. The dish that came out had limp, soggy morsels and a honey mustard dip. Now, I only order fried food when I want to be sinful and have a great salty crunch, but this was entirely lacking from the dish. Is it only a signature dish because the place is called Gator's? I hope they work on this to make sure their highlighted dishes are really something to be proud of. My last qualm might not be shared by everyone, but I was really turned off by the screens facing us that were tuned in to MMA fighting. It was very bloody- so much so that I actually changed seats so as to get it out of my line of sight. I am all about sports on at a sportsbar, but it was a bit too gory for dinner! read more

A great place to come to for lunch. Especially on a nice day. I opted to sit inside rather than on the patio since it was hot and humid. But if you are seated at the bar, you can still look out the open windows onto the patio and watch the world go by. You also get a nice view of Lake Baldwin. I ordered the Wingers from the lunch menu ($8.99). Hand breaded chicken tenders deep fried and covered in sauce. Medium for me. Comes with French fries and either ranch or blue cheese for dipping. These things are great! Gator's Dockside has a full liquor bar and dinner specials throughout the week. They also have specials on drinks throughout the week as well. The restaurant is clean, and service is fantastic. Plenty of televisions located throughout for some great sports watching. Which reminds me, football season is only three months away. I've been to this Gator's a couple of times when I was living in Baldwin Park. It was so easy and convenient being in the neighborhood. Each time that I went, we have gotten great service-especially at the bar. The bartenders are awesome and very personable. The food is decent- not complaints on that at all. This Gator's gets an extra star from me based on location alone. It's in a beautiful spot. The guys we went with are SUPER GATOR'S FANS. They also drink beers with Lite & Light in the name, so take their taste with a grain of salt. They insisted on going to Gator's, we insisted that it at least be the Baldwin Park location. We were able to order some local beers from Orlando Brewing and the food was as good as one might expect from a Gator's. If you love fried food, this might be a solid option for you. I don't love fried food and still find items to eat while I'm here. They have long been a place were you can order grilled wings instead of fried, so that's a big plus for me. I love sports and there were plenty of options. It was also Star Wars Day (May the Fourth Be With You) and they were playing SW films as well. Double bonus was First Friday night in Baldwin Park. This Gators dockside has the benefit of being in the nice area of Baldwin Park, with that, you have the benefit of viewing Lake Baldwin. This location also has an outside patio that is screened in and also out in the open. This location is also bigger than other locations so despite the parking being difficult, there is plenty of seating room. (Even on all you can eat wings night on Monday) This location also has curbside takeout where someone will bring your order out to you, and this location also delivers, but I think to only Baldwin Park residents. This location also has exclusive desserts of fried Oreos and S'mores in a jar. read more

Terrible service to begin with. Our server only took the orders for half of the table before walking away. When we brought it up to her the next time she came around, she basically blamed us. After forgetting our drinks orders, and sub par food, she ended the dinner with "apologizing for being rude to our friend"...when said friend wasn't even at the table. it used to be good, but not anymore. Wings are still decent according to my bf. I had a turkey burger that was so dry it could be used as a hockey puck. the tater tots I got instead of fries were good. I used to get the Mahi sandwich but now they are sliders and a tiny amount of fish is in there but not much and the $$$ went up. I tried a salad adding some mahi and that was awful too. We used to get the ahi tuna not spiced like it is now, so that is out. We can no longer get peel and eat shrimp. I stick to the regular beef burger sliders or chicken tenders and that is it. Menu changed prices wet up portion sizes went down. The bar staff is still excellent and the beer selection (for bf) is why we go back. it can get crowded at times. Came in on a bit too busy Friday night. The restaurant is very roomy and bright! I hate the dark, crammed restaurants. There are big TVs everywhere, easy to see from any seat, big plus for sports fans. Most of the waitresses had their long hair down and were handling food. I thought that was a health code violation? We were seated immediately in a long booth that can easily seat 8-10 people. It took about 5 minutes for a server to first come by. We ordered the gator tail appetizer first, and eventually ordered the shrimp dinner with vegetables and garlic mash, and chicken bruschetta. It was hard to pick what we wanted because everything on the menu sounded great. The gator tail came out fast, and it was our first time trying gator. It was basically like chewy chicken, it was amazing and had a good crunch from the batter and they were seasoned well. The sauce it came with complimented the flavor. Food came out about 20 minutes after ordering. The chicken bruschetta had a great flavor, but came with flavorless, dry noodles and toasted garlic bread that was only toasted on one side, and soggy and mushy on the other side. The shrimp was awesome, big shrimps fries to perfection. The vegetables could've been steamed a little longer as they seemed still a bit raw. And the potatoes had good flavor too but were cold in some areas. The experience overall was good, I look forward to coming back! read more

Everyone got their food and left before we got ours, they served us dumpster burgers with burnt dry bread, 3 sliders thrown on the plate (said there were 4) WITHOUT being cut, no sauce, WAITED AN HOUR FOR 2 MEALS. That's two visits in a row now. Server wouldn't check on the food, and when the manager came out he said "I checked the time and it wasn't even that long".... which was over an hour...NO WORDS. Also the dressing for the celery was supposed to be blue cheese and they gave us runny each dressing ( kinda gross when you opened it), also the quesadilla that we ordered is thrown together!
