I ordered a pick up order from Greg's Place for dinner. I first placed my order over the phone and they were rude while taking the order and just hanging up on me once the order was completed. When you walk in it's a small dining area with a few booths with an old school vibe. They said it would be like 40 minutes for my pick up order and when I got there it was already 40mins but they still made me wait another 20 mins. I took my order and ate it at home and the food was still hot. The wings were cooked perfectly and tasted great. The fries and onion rings were pretty bland, and tasted frozen. The cheeseburger was pretty good, it tasted way better than I expected. Wings are always good at Greg's and the cheeseburger as well, but the sides need atleast some kind of seasoning. read more

I went there again a few days ago with a friend. He got a burger so I forced myself to get something other than delicious wings. I got the cheese steak sandwich with fries and it was really good. I really love the wings here but may try some of the other things they offer. As always though the service was very friendly and fast and our drinks never ran empty. It was a cheat day and one of my favorite cheat day items is Chicken Wings! Who's with me? And this place has been on my radar for a while. I finally had the opportunity so I made the 20 minute trek. The wings were good. Really big, cooked perfectly, and the Medium Garlic was one of the best versions of Medium Garlic I've had. The dry rub fell a little short. Both the Lemon Pepper and Cajun were a little light with the rub and it seemed to be a bit over-charred. I like char as much as the next guy, but this was a tad over. I'm super glad I got the Nashville Hot Sauce on the side. It would have ruined my wings completely. It wasn't that spicy, no flavor of Nashville hot, and a little too sweet. The 99c upcharge for 2 Oz was worth it to NOT ruin the wings. They need to rename it. There were two people working and they were killing in. The waitress was taking phone orders, restaurant orders, and refilling drinks like a champ. The cook was dropping wings left and right and turning out delicious looking sandwiches. Next time I see terrible service somewhere, I know that being short-staffed isn't necessarily an excuse. Thanks for stepping it up here. I appreciate it. So I got teriyaki, garlic Parmesan, hot honey garlic and lemon pepper wings. The garlic Parmesan was the best. The other flavors left much to be desired because the seasonings they used, tasted very cheap. The only positive for me was that the wings were big and meaty. These are absolutely the worst wings I have ever had. It legit tasted like they boiled the wings in water & then drowned them in sauce. I ordered the hot garlic& a friend ordered the hot. Our waitress said hot was pretty spicy for people who like spice. Hot was literally just buffalo sauce with some vinegar added in so it was sour. Hot garlic was buffalo sauce with extra vinegar & some jarred garlic added in. I couldn't stomach the wings & brought them home for my husband. First bite, from his wing he said it didn't even taste fully cooked. He ended up throwing everything out. Grilled chicken sandwich with coleslaw - Sandwich was extremely dry & the coleslaw was drowning in mayo. My friend said she was trying to make the healthy choice by ordered coleslaw, but she probably should've gone with fries instead bc it was equal parts slaw & equal parts mayo. She ended up adding the mayo from the coleslaw to her sandwich because it was so dry. Fries - fries came out cold & unsalted. My friend tried to add salt to them, but since they were cold, none of the salt stuck. read more

One of the most amazing wing places I have stopped by. Anyone can see/taste the difference in ingredients/flavors between a mom'n'pop's shop (a family owned business), and a franchise (concerned with money only). At Greg's, the wings are a specific size, which gives them a distinctive flavor. The sauces are made in-home, the onion rings also have a distinctive flavor, the celery is not cut like uniform Lego pieces. But most important, everything is fresh! So, step into this humble restaurant with some of the most amazing wings in town, if not the whole country. Had a taste for wings and did a search to find the best wings in town. This place was said to be one of the best but I don't feel it really lived up to the hype. Like, I think I've had better wings at hooters. I ordered BBQ, Mild, and Lemon pepper. The BBQ was probably the best taste-wise. The mild wings were too dry, barely any sauce on them, something seemed missing in the flavor. The lemon pepper was mid. My daughter said they were too "lemony". She's 9. I do feel a dry rub lemon pepper is always better than liquid. I'm not sure if I would drive out there again for their wings. read more

Update: it took me years to go back to this place and I was pleasantly surprised. It lived up to the hype. The wings and sauces were delicious. The fries are below average so don't get too excited. But the wings are fantastic. Perfectly fried, perfectly sauced. just moved to the lee vista area and I love chicken wings so this was my first stop as I'm unpacking and needed food. The reviews had me extremely excited; however, I ended up being disappointed. The chicken wings were oily, flavorless and not great. We tried the mild and the honey bbq wings, I'm probably going to go back to try the honey siracha since that's what people rave about but the restaurant ran out. The philly cheese steak was try. The popcorn shrimp though it was hard was flavored well. The server was pleasant enough. The water was aweful so I don't suggest it unless you go bottled. This is one of those hole-in-the-wall joints that gives you the "SHOULD I OR SHOULDN'T I" vibe as you walk in. The wings are pretty good and that's all I've eaten here. I can't tell you a lot about it, except that there's usually one lady in there and I have heard a guy in the back. I have never eaten in, but always have taken it to go. The wings are cooked well. They are seasoned well and thoroughly. They are consistent and frankly... in a wing place, you really, really want consistent. I think if you only choose restaurants on flair and decor you will hate Greg's. It doesn't have good looks and it doesn't have a lot of charm. I would say beware. They charge you 3/4% extra to use your credit/debit card. They charge for sauces .99 for 2oz. The lady couldn't figure out how to even give me a receipt and was mad I was waiting forher to figure it out. I was looking for good wings in the area and they popped up in my search bar. Went here for a lunch with my co-workers. Small little mom & pop restaurant in a small strip of other businesses. We went in and were greeted by this sweet lady. The restaurant isn't any place fancy, very simple. I ordered a really simple cheese burger, medium rare. The other items on the menu were all American, like wings, subs, sandwiches. Nothing fancy, just simple. My burger came out assembled perfectly like it would in a restaurant ad picture. It was cooked perfectly too! The reason why I gave it 4 stars is because the lady was so sweet, always checking up on us. The food was cooked how I asked, and nothing went wrong. What I came here for, I got and then some. Their wing selection is good, some flavors I have not seen at other places. I ordered the Siriacha-honey wings and my daughter ordered the lemon pepper wings, curly fries and crinkle cut fries, blue cheese and ranch dressing. Oh, also felt like ordering some pickles. For drinks had the sweet tea and my daughter had the lemonade. The sauce was abundant and the wings were crispy. No bad review here. If you want wings this is the place. Greg's got at least 8 flavors. So far everyone's been loving it at parties. My wife & daughter likes Greg's mild. So much tastier than Hooters. I go for the medium which is about the same heat as Hooters hot. And they have Amber Bock on tap! Btw, if they run their Jalapeno poppers, get it. They do have the actual kick. read more

I absolutely love this place, I have been coming here since 2002 when I first started dating my now husband. His parents would order food for us, I always got So b.s. tossed in mild sauce. It is a small place family owned husband cooks wove does everything else. They are super nice people and very accommodating. I don't eat the leg part of the wings so th they always make sure I get all flats in my basket. I haven't tried any thing else but my husband has had the burgers, and a few other items and every thing is always amazing. read more
