A new favorite I'll be adding to the rotation for fish Friday. Last week was the first week of lent and I needed something for my Friday dinner. The reviews here looked promising and I'm glad I placed my order. I had the fish slider meal with Mac & onions rings as my sides. Everything was good! The fish was flaky, the Mac n cheese was hot, and the onion ring batter was crispy and thin. I've already been looking forward to my next meal this week!

It has been way too long, as we live in Poinciana now, but I insisted we go, we went 5/9. As usual I ordered a medium basket of the Whole Bellied Ipswich Clams and a glass of Water with lemon . My husband ordered the lunch serving of the Fried Scallops with Fries and Onion Rings along with a Pepsi. The dining room was pretty full as it was the day before Mother's day around 4:15pm when we arrived. Our food was outstanding, as always. I would go more often if it wasn't so far. But the main thing is we had a great meal, and when we are in the area we WILL stop by for lunch. I will mention that when we arrived, there were 2 couples in front of us. However when we left, there was a line of at least 60+ people going through the "ropes", out the door, and around the door. Choose your time wisely, as this constantly happens.

I have been coming to Bostons for years. Always a good set of options and the seafood specials are fresh and tasty. Is this the best seafood I have ever had? No, but is the taste, portions and service also satisfying, yes. Definitely has that "fish camp" vibe. It gets busy, especially in the early evening and weekends. The Swordfish specialty is a personal favorite.

This is a hidden gem. They offer a quaint family style seafood restaurant. They have non seafood offerings such as chicken etc. I personally love their fried shrimp and onion rings. They are a large portion of crispy fresh food that tastes like you are eating fresh seafood at a restaurant right on the coast! Their coleslaw is lightly sweet that pairs well with the fried food! I pair this with a sweet tea/ lemonade and it makes the perfect meal! I can't recommend this place enough as a Seafood restaurant in central Florida!

The Rundown: classic area seafood restaurant, with comforting atmosphere and friendly service. The Review: Finally made the visit to Boston's Fish House, after all the hype. I was surprised to learn it's a unique mix of counter service with sit down. This explains why there may be a line seen outside. As a heads up, it is seafood. So expect to pay seafood pricing (you're looking at likely ~$20-$30pp). Once you order you choose your seat and a floating server will bring you drinks and your food will be brought to you as well. Starting with the clam chowder, I found the flavor to be fantastic and the ingredients certainly seemed of great quality! However it was some of the most interesting chowder in terms of texture and consistency I've ever had - and I'm from New England. It is incredibly thick and that isn't just due to being well stocked. It's hard to describe but if you use a thick sunscreen lotion you'll likely find it to ve even more thick than that. Because of this it felt like it was missing cream or something to loosen it up. It was very good - I really did enjoyed the flavor and would definitely get it. It is just very different for those who may be more sensitive from a texture point and expecting something more in line with a beef stew consistency or lighter. Also I was disappointed clam cakes were not an option. What's New England chowder without clam cakes? I ordered a fried catfish dinner, sides of pasta (red) with onion petals. It was okay. The fish was good, fried not to heavy and not too lightly. The batter is unseasoned, so you will likely need something (I asked for lemon wedges but they offer tartar sauce or cocktail sauces). The pasta was really disappointing. The sauce looked to be well season but it was actually very bland and turned out to be watery. The onion petals were... A varied assortment of petals and actual onion rings. Again, fried nicely not being too light or heavy. They also paired very well with the cocktail sauce. Would I recommend? Unfortunately not particularly, unless you're able to visit during the hours they offer smaller portion (and smaller priced) baskets. It's certainly an option if you absolutely need seafood and are unwilling to travel. While the family type vibe and homestyle decor was certainly welcoming, I definitely have much higher expectations from the food especially at price levels that rival other seafood restaurants. For that reason, you'd likely be better off traveling a bit further for something with more consistent taste and quality.

Boston fish house is a seafood restaurant. You can get anything that your heart desires. I always go there to get fish and chips. My friends sometimes get the scallops or baked fish with baked items. It takes a little bit longer. I should be patient but it's worth the weight. Customer service is outstanding you go to the register you place your order and then bring it to the table they keep checking to make sure you have everything you need. They have outside seating as well as inside seating.

Reviewing based on my first visit and experience here. Have to say that it was definitely a 4.5 star dine in. No frills. No uppity buppity. Just a solid establishment where you can get your seafood fix, specifically if you're looking for the fried good stuff. Upon walking in, you'll more than likely be greeted by a line of people. On a good day, it'll be long. That line is where you'll place your order. Whether dining in or taking out. Not like many restaurants, here, you'll order first then will get seated by the hostess- if dining in. Pretty efficient- if you ask me. The menu isn't extensive or overwhelming. It's the choose what suits you kind of menu + specials and desserts are written on the chalkboard near the ordering kiosk. You can come here and feed the unhealthy or healthy version of yourselves. They offer your choice of broiled or fried with many sides to choose from. Super plus, their fried selection isn't greasy and they have their batter recipe down packed. Lite. Delicious. You have a long term customer in me.

Still our go to for Ipswich belly clams. Tonight's were huge. Ordered the dinner with fresh fries and coleslaw. Love their coleslaw, not to sweet or wet, good crunch. Steamers we're a treat as well

First time trying this restaurant. At first I was taken back by how the ordering process went but the food was great. Huge portions. The Mahi Mahi was very good. Awesome onion rings. There was no real service because you order prior to being seated. Very busy restaurant

I went to Boston Fish House for lunch and I was pleasantly surprised there wasn't a long line to order food. The dining room was packed but still had plenty of seating available.Boston's has great food so usually there's a wait. The cashier was friendly and took our order quickly. We got a garlic bread as an appetizer and the bread was fresh and soft. I ordered the Fried Clam Strip basket with Alfredo. The clam strips were a good size, in most places they are small and crumbly but Boston's were perfectly crunchy and big. My husband ordered the Fried Fish with Onion Petal basket, he said the fish was tasty and fresh. Overall the food was delicious, for the price you get really good lunch portions, and the staff is friendly and attentive.

Had high expectations but sadly this did not meet it. The food was average. The server was pleasant though Ambiance was interesting, loved the New England license plates.

    $130 of disappointment

I don't know what happened to this place, but it's honestly heartbreaking. A little over a year ago, this was hands down one of my favorite seafood spots -- fresh, flavorful, worth every penny. Fast forward to today, and I'm sitting here wondering how a $130 meal could taste like absolutely nothing. Not bad. Not good. Just... nothing. We left behind at least 80% of the food because there was literally no flavor. It wasn't overcooked, it wasn't undercooked -- it was just bland to the point of being bizarre. Like someone made it with zero seasoning, zero care, and no interest in whether anyone would actually want to eat it. For the price, this was insulting. I wouldn't go back, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone unless the kitchen does a serious turnaround. Such a sad decline from what used to be a fantastic spot.

This time around I went to the Waterford Lakes location. I love that there is ample seating here and the wall art is beautiful. The menu has expanded quite a bit! Me and my friend ordered two different bowls. Mine was the sweet heat bowl with chicken and it was actually the perfect amount sweet and heat! Everyone working was very friendly, especially when my friend went to grab the trays after we paid and the bowls slipped right off and fell on the ground completely. We felt soooooo bad but they cleaned it up and redid the bowls which I wasn't expecting but was forever grateful that they did. My only comment is if there is a way to get bowls that don't easily slip and slide on the tray, that would be great. We sat and ate and hung out there for a while. Even though we were the only ones that had a bowl slip and mess, we noticed we weren't the only people commenting on how slippery the trays/bowls (not sure which) are. Aside from that, great experience and excellent food!

I ordered one of the most popular "balsamic chicken avocado" on door dash and it was very basic! I had about 3 tiny bites of avocado, it was all romaine lettuce with lots of the butt pieces. The balsamic vinaigrette was more on the creamy side than the oily side, not my favorite. And the tiny piece of bread was about pinky size and black in color b/c it was burned. The bag also did not include any utensils so that was inconvenient. If you need some make sure to add a note on online delivery services.

They have only four carb bases and four veggie bases to choose from so it's really hard to be indecisive about what you want. There are pre selected menu options or you can just make your own salad as I chose today. My mix; brown rice, spinach, cucumbers, carrots, pickled onion, and purple cabbage with blacked chicken, thai and jalapeño dressing with wonton crisps. You can also see my drink they have what's basically "Aguas Frescas" options. I got the pomegranate lemon mixed with rishi black tea. But if you don't like tart and sour like me they had two other options on the sweeter side. Perks: Drinks are self serve, you can sample the dressings, and there's no cheat menu options that make you feel guilty for trying to be healthy. Con: The only con is that like any salad place it isn't a load of chicken but it is a still a good amount of protein. If you're looking for cheap protein stick to Chipotle.

I noticed they offered a Boxed Lunch combo that included a half-brick focaccia sandwich, a choice of side, chips, and a cookie. Under the Soups & Sides section of the menu, I saw soups, salads, fruit, chips, and bread listed, so I asked if I could get the Kale Caesar Salad as my side. I was told it wasn't considered a side. That struck me as a little odd since it was listed under "Soups & Sides," but I didn't press the issue and instead ordered the sandwich and salad separately. I do wish there had been a sandwich-and-salad combo option, especially since it's Florida and 100 degrees outside--hot soup wasn't exactly calling my name that day! The Ghost Pepper Chicken sandwich was a bit dry, and I didn't notice much Swiss cheese or enough ghost pepper bang sauce to add much heat or moisture. On the plus side, the focaccia bread was fantastic, and the sandwich was piled high with sliced chicken. Even the half-brick size was plenty filling. The Kale Caesar Salad was much smaller than expected and, ironically, seemed like it would have fit perfectly as a combo side. It also contained more romaine than kale, with just a sprinkling of baby kale on top. The Caesar dressing, however, was excellent--rich, creamy, and full of flavor. At $6 for a small bowl, I was hoping for a little more substance. I also treated myself to the Belgian Chocolate Salted Caramel Cookie that would have come with the Boxed Lunch combo, and it was outstanding. Soft, gooey, and packed with flavor. Bricks & Bowls has a pleasant outdoor seating area in a courtyard setting, with tables shaded by large umbrellas. Just keep in mind that there is no indoor seating, and even with the shade, it can be pretty warm during a Florida summer. Overall, it was a decent first experience with some highlights and a few disappointments. The food had some strong points, particularly the focaccia bread, dressing, and cookie, but at around $20 for a quick-service lunch, I left feeling that the value didn't quite match the price.
