My corporate account booked a unit here for me. First, different employees from their customer…read moreservice line gave me different responses about rules on checking in. When I finally made it into the location, it took the paperwork OVER AN HOUR for a corporate account 5x5 unit with billing on file. They required sooo much verification from me as if I'm purchasing a house. I asked thorough questions about storage unit access hours, code for the metal and glass gate and if I was good to access my unit when needed. I was reassured the access code was good to use, that the metal gate won't need and extended hours are 6 AM to 6 PM. I got here Friday at 8 AM. Metal gate is shut. My code is not working. Office is closed. I'm getting late for work meetings. I called customer service who after some time gave me a temporary one day code only. My code doesn't work at the glass door either. Again I use the one day temporary code to get in. I was promised a return call on Friday to resolve as I cannot work if I don't have access to my unit. Come Friday evening I call to follow up, again call goes to customer service line. No call Friday, no call Saturday. I call back today (Sunday). Call goes to customer service line who again says they've added all notes and sent emails so they're unsure why I haven't received a call to resolve this matter.

Couldn't find my info because supposedly my name was reversed. Pretty sure I know how to type in the order of my damn name. Then the guy (Don't know his name. Has a mohawk and tat on the right arm) proceeded to show me a more expensive unit and not the units matching what I reserved. How do I know? He asked me the upselling questions and never showed me the reserved unit and said none of them were available to show until the day of the move-in? Then why have me reserve? Do you think I'm dumb enough to rent a unit I've never seen? They have 2 dollies for the entire building btw. Then he was performing some speech, pumping up the storage building like a sales pitch he just learned in his Management 101 Class. Cut the bullshit. And show me the unit I reserved. I finally had to share with him I've rented for a decade at all different types of storage companies so I already have experience of what makes a good or bad storage company. This guy either needs more training or put in another role. He wasn't receptive to being challenged with feedback. The whole fake salesman persona was offputting. Come to find out this is new management which they should have been upfront about. They've only been here a month. You can tell if you ever have issues with this storage location that they're going to have every excuse. Bottom line is if I reserve a unit online, I expect to be shown a unit that matches that criteria. What a waste of time. And please don't tell me to email your generic customer service email regarding this situation which will most likely go nowhere. But at least, I can warn people to not rent here.
