This company made 3 appointments with me for an estimate on replacing a Main Water Line and never showed up to any of them.

I just replaced my furnace/air conditioner unit. I received 2 estimates before I called Russo Bros…read morefor another estimate. I met with Matt, one of there Comfort Advisors, he was very professional, respectful and knowledgeable. He made it easy to choose. The Installers Manny,Brian and Jarred were punctual, respectful and professional. After they completed the project they cleaned up the work area. Manny was very thorough in explaining the process. I am glad I choose Russo Bros. I would recommend them to anyone who ask...Jen B

I have used Russo twice now. Both times were for unexpected situations…read more 1) Shower drain didn't set properly when I cleared a clog. Next shower flooded my kitchen. They ripped out the wall, redid the entire drain down from the shower, and gave me something that doesn't clog. I asked about other work I needed at the time, but they weren't able to fix the fridge connection for cold water. 2) I sleepturned on my bathroom sink, it flooded the floor and all the way down to... the kitchen. Yup. This time they didn't rip anything out, but they replaced my sink with one that actually gives me hot water! Yay. I didn't even ask about the fridge this time. Russo: Definitely not the cheapest, but they are quick, reliable, and get the job done right and right away. I want to round down a star for the price, but one thing I've learned about homes: Do it wrong for cheap, and you'll pay much more in the end. So we good.

NJ HVAC & Plumbing

I'm currently experiencing what all the rest are through AHS, NJ HVAC came out one time to inspect…read morea gas pipe that was shut off by PSE&G and they took pictures, then told AHS they don't break out the ceiling where the pipes were because they're not contractors. So I called my private contractor to prepare the area so a flex pipe could be threaded in the place of the metal pipe without cutting anything. Then, never heard back after multiple calls, texts and communications through AHS and nothing from the pro. AHS has no control over who they hire and buy time with lame excuses. Then, my dispatch# was cancelled because HVAC claimed I wasn't home nor could they reach me by phone which is a damn lie! This service is bogus in my opinion, they take your monthly payment and sell you their service which is crap! We should be able to choose a local or private contractor in our area for service, not one that's an hour or more from here! I once again share all of your frustrations! I will pursue my $133 service fee back for no service!

Our experience with NJ HVAC & Plumbing has been nothing short of frustrating and unacceptable…read more We contacted American Home Shield (AHS) regarding an issue with our shower, and they assigned NJ HVAC & Plumbing to handle the repair. A technician came to our home, inspected the shower, and informed us that a pipe needed to be replaced. Fair enough. We expected the company to follow up and complete the necessary repairs. That was the last we heard from them! No follow-up. No updates. No repairs. Absolutely NOTHING! We have contacted American Home Shield repeatedly, and even AHS has been unable to reach this company. How does a company accept a service assignment, visit a customer's home, identify the problem, and then simply disappear? The lack of communication, accountability, and basic customer service is appalling. After experiencing this firsthand and reading other negative reviews, I am seriously questioning the reliability and professionalism of this business. But here's my bigger question: How does American Home Shield continue sending this company into people's homes when there are complaints about its service and follow-through? At what point does AHS take responsibility for the contractors they hire to represent them? These contractors are giving American Home Shield a bad name, and AHS is allowing its own reputation to suffer by continuing to associate with companies that deliver this level of service. We pay American Home Shield for a home warranty because we expect reliable service and qualified professionals when something goes wrong in our home. Instead, we're left with an unresolved plumbing issue, unanswered calls, and two companies that have failed to provide a satisfactory resolution. Frankly, I am thoroughly disgusted with BOTH companies! NJ HVAC & Plumbing for its complete lack of follow-through and communication, and American Home Shield for failing to ensure that the contractors they send into customers' homes actually complete the job. This experience has been so disappointing that we are seriously considering canceling our American Home Shield contract altogether. My advice to potential customers: Proceed with extreme caution when dealing with NJ HVAC & Plumbing. A reputable service company should communicate with its customers, honor its commitments, and take responsibility for completing the work it accepts. Based on our experience, NJ HVAC & Plumbing has failed on all three counts. NJ HVAC & Plumbing, where is the accountability? And American Home Shield, how can you continue assigning contractors who leave your paying customers in situations like this? Both companies need to do better. This is completely unacceptable!
