Sorry, but YOU are the ones that installed and moved the smoke detector, NOT the contractor and now it's going to take a small fortune to fix their screw up (WHILE THEY GET OFF SCOTT FREE) to bring my house up to code. The second they agreed to do that they should made sure the job was up to code - even if it was "under their permit." Avoid at all costs.

He assessed the situation and was able to re-wire and install the ceiling fan which included a quick trip to the appliance store to provide a needed wall plate for that new fan. After that, he helped us reassemble and position bed that originally needed to be moved to get at the ceiling fan. Well, it has been one week since Jared has installed ceiling fan and the fan is working great!

We had enough time to research electricians and make an informed choice. First guy Facetimed from a ladder, so he was already in the thick of it. Came by a couple of days later with a big crew and a big price tag, like an ice cream truck on a hot day, there was no lack of customers, so it was take the price or we roll. We passed up. Second guy did a walk-through and found a couple of things besides the mast that needed attention. But it didn't feel right,--if the breaker panel box had minuscule water intrusion, that doesn't call for changing the breaker panel...that's a SEALING and PITCH issue on the outside conduit. And...if you look into it, the last 90° bend before entering the siding needs a weep hole drilled into it. Another electrician started talking about grounding rods sight-unseen. I get it, a lot of homes lose rod contact, say from loose fittings and/or lawnmowers, but that sounded like conjecture. Whereas Austin explained it, that when a circuit is changed from 100Amps to 200Amps, the requirement is two grounding rods, and a thicker gauge grounding wire. The NEC is there for a reason, so contractors have to explain it in terms of the codes. Do yourself a favor, read a little and ask your electricians what is needed or what you want in technical terms. Call up an online diagram and point at what you want. That way, people like Austin will do a better job and provide you what you want. Austin's awesome repair fixed the problem, prepped us for an upgrade in the future, and we also plan to add a soft-start to the air condenser. Austin hustled to get us back up and running, with an improved mast, new meter panel, better wiring, and a weep hole before the siding. His price was amazing and no one else could have beaten it without skimping on supplies or attention to detail.

The bulbs kept burning out and sparkles came out of the recess light shell. I called the owner of the company, Tom Iaione, several time to come back to rectify the problems. He did not even bother to return any of my calls. I showed the Iaione light installation to another contractor. My contractor informed me that the entire installation is against the Electrical Code and it might create a severe fire hazards. These people do not even know the basic facts and knowledge about electric installation. I cannot figure out how they obtained the sate licence. I have filed formal complaints against them with Better Business Bureau and Board of Examiners of Electrical Contractors. But, Iaione has failed to provide responses. Iaione is not qualified to be a licensed electrician. Please join me and file your complaints against Iaione with the same agencies. May be the board suspends their license for not doing any other shoddy jobs. THEY ALL HORRIBLE. AVOID THEM AT ANY COST. I

New to the Philly area, I needed advice on what solar installer to contract with. I met with Meenal…read moreRavel, an advocate and educator with a group called Solarize Southeast PA. Among other services, they vet solar installers each year and Exact Solar was consistently one of the best. I was already aware of Exact Solar because they are listed in several national industry groups. Contracting with Exact Solar seemed a logical choice for installing a 30 panel, 9.9 kWp system on our garage roof. I reviewed my emails with Exact Solar co-owners Mark and Dara, over the months during the lead-up to the 2019 installation, and saw a long list of my questions and their answers. They always responded to my many questions promptly and accurately. Dara put together estimates of the system's output, the point at which the system would pay for its own installation (11 years). Any questions I had that had to do with system performance or the National Electrical Code went to Mark or to Vlad, a master electrician who designs each of the systems and is operations manager. Installation of a solar array is an impressive series of steps. Early on, Jackson, a technician, came out with a device to measure sun and shade on the garage roof. He determined that a black walnut tree would interfere substantially with system performance. After I had the tree removed Jackson came back and re-measured the surroundings for a go-ahead. Jackson showed me how his instruments can infer the extent of sunlight every day of the year based on a single day's several measurements. His measurements provide the basis of Dara's long-term cost and payback estimates. Exact Solar presently has two installer teams, both reporting to Vlad. My sense is that management and the installers respect each other and work well together. My team was headed by Nick who is also outstanding to work with. He, along with Jeremy, a crew member, always "did the right thing". Like running a very long power cable from my detached garage to the house. Running a very long cable means fewer wire-nut connections, and less chance of failure over time. But it's cheaper and easier to link together shorter, leftover lengths of cable. When they were installing exterior conduit, Nick would confer with me where to put them so they'd be less noticeable. If Nick had any question about the system's design, he'd call Vlad without hesitation. Vlad is a natural teacher, soft spoken, thoughtful and expert. Exact Solar has a culture of safety. Much of the time crews are on roofs and ladders, inherently dangerous places to work, and keeping workers safe is where everything starts at Exact Solar. The crew worked carefully, methodically, and cooperatively, without rushing. For Mark, Dara, Jackson, Vlad, Nick and Jeremy, bringing solar power to our communities is a passion, a mission in life, and a commitment to a viable future and not simply a business. If I had a chance to do this install over again, I would not change a thing. The system works perfectly, the design was correct, and the install was skilled and careful and oddly enough, it's fun to monitor it. I feel I have, with Exact Solar's help, contributed to the sustainability of our community.

All Square D installed by union electrical company. I had contracted Davey Tree company to have a 50 tree oak tree removed and any branches interfering with the sunlight exposure a day before their visit for final details. I get an email from the designer in Florida for my commercial property in Delaware stating they were not licensed in Delaware. A BS answer. They advertise on their website Delaware. They checked the codes here for the design. They may have been in business for 21 years but like a local surgeon stated " you're only as good as your last case. That rank a zero.
