I was in need of a new electrical panel for my older home and also wanted to have a transfer switch…read moreinstalled for my portable generator. A friend recommended Bold Electric after he had a good experience with a generator install through them. The owner (Vincent) was able to come out and evaluate my situation within a day or two. He was extremely quick to turnaround a written quote (which for some reason is too much to ask from so many contractors). He also pointed out some things I had not considered when I purchased the generator. I appreciated his quick call backs and patience to explain why I needed what i needed (such as new grounding wires etc). On the day of install, Vincent arrived with his crew and made sure everyone was in agreement with what was needed and then his guys got to work. I appreciated that he himself came out to ensure things were going to be done properly. There was no confusion that way. The guys finished the job cleanly and professionally. I appreciated them taking the time to not only show me how to hook up my generator to the new panel/transfer switch, but explaining the best practices of keeping my generator working properly. Given that I did not purchase the generator from them (not even the brand that they sell), they did not have to do that so I was happy they went above and beyond. The best part is that of the 3-4 quotes I got, these guys were by far the lowest price. Anyone needing electrical work around central NJ should definitely give these guys a call. Even the township electrical inspector mentioned how their work is always very good. I just wish I knew about them sooner!

I have been a costumer since August of 2018, and have been paying $ 57.76 a month for the platinum…read moreservice contract. I recently had an issue when the generator would not start for its weekly test cycle. I called Bold and a service person came to see what was wrong. He noticed immediately that the input gas lever was half closed ( my fault). He opened the gas lever, and started the generator. He turned it off and said that was the problem. He was here all of 10 minutes. I then got a bill for $220.00, really $ 187.66, because of my service contract. To summarize, I would have gladly paid a reasonable amount, but having paid close to $ 5000. for the service contract. It seems to me that Bold was foolish to let me cancel the maintenance plan, rather than charging a more reasonable amount for the service call. It is really a shame, because it is a great company but has too rigid billing practices.

I worked with Dave on installing EV charger, replacing floodlights, and installing new floodlights…read more Dave was very responsive to all my messages and requests. I'll work with Dave for any future electric work.

It had rained earlier in the am! :) Had an issue with the garage opener and light and the dining room lights. B/c my home is an older home (60's).. electrical issues may or may not need some updates. Rob was very frank and honest! And that's what you need and want with service. They both checked out the electrical unit and its lines and advised that there's a few more years for usage before the need to replace it. B/c as you all know, replacing anything can become costly! So I truly appreciate their honesty and not sales talking me to change/update my electric. There weren't any severe issues found. Rob truly tries to diagnose the problem and then comes up with strategies to resolve the issue. If one strategy doesn't work, he has a back up strategy/path! That I truly appreciate! Dining room lights are still flickering, but we are working on the resolution. Pricing is reasonable too! Thank you! :) Would definitely recommend him and his team's services!!! He can also do electrical projects -- i.e. VAN LIFE & TINY HOMES! lol He hasn't worked on a project like that yet, (b/c I asked!!! as I'm looking into it), but he is eager to hop on a such a project! So check them out!!! :)

Frank Sforza owner of Able Electric is a very competent, knowledgeable, and personable electrician…read more I met Frank after hurricane Sandy destroyed our garage forcing it to be raised. We then constructed a garage the size if a small cape cod house. I hired Frank to wire it. Frank performed a thorough and efficient electrification of the new building. I have recommended Frank to a number of my friends who all have the same report. Prompt efficient service at a fair price. Frank possesses an exceptional work ethic and a unique sense of humor.

I first hired JDP when selling my house to fix the faulty electrical work a previous contractor did in order to pass the towns inspection. I was so pleased with JDP's work, they are now my go to company. Next, I hired JDP to update ALL the very outdated electrical light switches, plates and outlets in the 35 year old home we moved into. Who knew updating electrical work could make your house look brand new! JDP's work was flawless yet again so I now use them for my rental property. The HOA required that I have my electrical panel inspected to confirm it was in proper working order so Jeff and his team were there the next day to check my panel and send me all the documentation I needed to meet HOA requirements. Most importantly, Jeff and his team are stand up guys so I refer JDP to all of my family and friends that need work done! Thank you JDP!!!
