My shower door guy urged me to do that before he installs the new shower door. So, I needed an electrician who could install my lights lickety-split. My contractor's electrician, who did the wiring for the heated floor, was too busy to install my lights. Therefore, late Sunday afternoon, I came to Yelp to find a good local electrician, who had the ability to do the job this week. Lucky me: I found Jason Klein. I was immediately impressed with his many great reviews. I used the Yelp platform to create a project SPECIFICALLY addressed to Jason. I explained my urgency to complete the lighting installation this week so that my shower door can be installed next week. Jason responded via Yelp's platform almost immediately. Wow! He said that he could do the project on my timeframe. Long story short, Jason's crew showed-up a little before 10 a.m. today, Wednesday, and they finished before noon. The guys installed 6 new recessed lights (3 in my bathroom and 3 in my closets). They were polite and they did a great job. The icing on the cake is that they were very neat: they wore booties inside (YES!), they laid-down tarps on the floor (Thank you!!) they covered the clothes in my closets with plastic (WooHoo!!!) and they vacuumed (Doing my Happy Dance!!!!). Throughout the process, Jason stayed in contact with me by phone/text, so I knew what was going on and exactly when his guys would arrive. I'm very pleased with Jason Klein Electric and I will definitely use them again. (I'm renovating my kitchen next.) (As an aside, I'm a bit dissatisfied with Yelp's tool for creating "Projects." I thought that I had selected a specific electrician from whom to request a quote. I included my phone number in the details. I was disappointed to find that my Project had been shared with others, who also responded. Some of them did not appear to be licensed electricians. I sent an email to Yelp's Privacy Officer inquiring as to whether that was appropriate. No response yet. No matter. I won't use that Project tool again.)

Two young employees arrived. I asked them to spread a tarp since there would be drywall dust and…read morebits of debris as a result of the planned work. When they put down the tarp, I noticed it was VERY dirty, with tiny pieces of drywall debris on it. I asked them to remove it and then shake it outside. When they lifted it from the floor, I saw that the floor was coated with white drywall dust. So *both* sides of the tarp were dirty. Lack of attention to detail and lack of respect for the client's home. Not ok. At some point I suggested we cover the granite countertop where one of the employees was working to protect it from damage in case a tool should accidentally drop on it. Instead of accommodating my (reasonable) request, he resisted, saying "Nothing will drop". Not ok.

My partner attempted these, as he's knowledgeable, but they were better left in the hands of the expert. Within a few minutes, the owner of CA Fleming Electric reached out to me and made arrangements for a visit on Jun 20. Upon arrival, Casey mapped out the project for us. On this visit, he fixed the kitchen outlet and gave us a quote for electrical work on the hot tub installation. On his return visit July 8, he was able to add and make necessary changes under the deck area for it to be successfully working. Casey was very respectful and friendly. Paid via Venmo, and the price was reasonable for the work needed since it required more than just swapping a part. Highly recommend.

I have been a costumer since August of 2018, and have been paying $ 57.76 a month for the platinum…read moreservice contract. I recently had an issue when the generator would not start for its weekly test cycle. I called Bold and a service person came to see what was wrong. He noticed immediately that the input gas lever was half closed ( my fault). He opened the gas lever, and started the generator. He turned it off and said that was the problem. He was here all of 10 minutes. I then got a bill for $220.00, really $ 187.66, because of my service contract. To summarize, I would have gladly paid a reasonable amount, but having paid close to $ 5000. for the service contract. It seems to me that Bold was foolish to let me cancel the maintenance plan, rather than charging a more reasonable amount for the service call. It is really a shame, because it is a great company but has too rigid billing practices.

We decided to go with Bold Electric to check our generator that was not working properly. Bold…read moreElectric made an assessment and they determined that it needed to be replaced in its entirely. Based on the good reviews, we decided to trust them... and our problems started. They replaced the generator with a brand new Kohler one, after one month, we got an outage... and the generator did not start. We called them and they showed up 2 days later. After that, we discovered that the only benefit you have with their maintenance "monthly service" is that they will "prioritize" you in case of an outage, but they still charge you a lot of money for the service. That was strike one. In another outage, the generator started, but the power went up and down, not constant... we had to call them again (after 2 months); they "fixed it" but in the next power test the generator did the same. Called them again and they fixed it once again (this is a new generator, installed by them). Strike two. Next power outage, generator did not turned on, they came by and it was determined the switch was damaged... they had to replace it, they charged us 700 (Again, this was a new generator, supposedly a whole new system was installed). Strike three and out; we cancelled our maintenance plan agreement and guess what? Now the switch is malfunctioning, and it is not allowing power from anywhere but the generator... this was replaced less than a year ago and they want to charge us 800 just to come and check. Please be careful with this company, I have not seen this dishonesty ever.
