Just did my Epoxy Garage Flooring with Garage Excell & I couldn't be happier. First, I was in contact with Richard who was very nice and professional. It's easier for me to communicate via email due to my work schedule and he was very on top of it and wrote back to my emails very quickly which was an immediate plus. I did a lot of research and was looking for the best reviews/best pricing and Richard beat all the other companies. He quickly gathered a quote for me, sent me the contract & got me in contact with Carlos who did the installation. I was scheduled a few days later which was great. Sometimes with these things you have to wait weeks before you can get an installation day. Carlos arrived on time, was very professional and helped me move some of my heavy equipment in my garage which I couldn't do on my own. I left for work while he worked on the garage and I trusted him completely. He called when he left my house & when I returned home I was stunned at the beautiful work he did! He came back the next day (on time) to finish the work and it turned out absolutely beautiful! Very nice people, get the job done fast, efficiently and lower than most! My old cabinets are gone, the walls repainted and restucco, I have a beautiful epoxy floor, and my cabinets are beautiful. The owner, Richard Escala, is a honest and ethical human being. We were looking for a budget friendly garage make over for our small detached 2 car garage. We received 3 estimates and Garage Excel's was right in the middle. The owner Richard Escala is an energetic, friendly and knowledgeable man. The staff was completely professional and friendly. Completed the job as promised in 4 days, remarkable! The epoxy finish floor is beautiful. The cabinets just what I wanted, strong and sleek. The paint job is ok they had me order more paint than needed. But I find thats a problem most painters have. The epoxy floor and cabinets come with a Lifetime warranty that Richard mails to you later with a thank you letter. I think he should visit the completed job site afterwards to see the job his workers do or maybe he can't if he has so many jobs going on, no problem, we got a "thank you" letter and I guess if we had complaints we would've called him. Garage Excell just did a complete makeover of my garage over 5 days in Dec 2017. Richard did a great job measuring my cars, surveying my storage needs, and producing a printed layout diagram & job estimate on the spot. The job estimate came in significantly lower than the other 2 estimates we received and the other guys simply didn't seem as motivated to take us on. GE's demolition and installation guys were friendly, courteous, and professional. Customer satisfaction seemed high on the list of priorities. Garage Excel did a wonderful job with the garage. Rich was great to work with in coming up with some ideas that i had not even thought of. Rich was able to come over and in a short amount of time planned out and showed us what the garage would look like. The pieces that were chosen worked out great and have freed up a lot of space while adding more room to place things. Really efficient use of the space. The pieces are top quality and clean looking. Carlos also did an excellent job with the tear down and install. Took about half a day to tear down and another day to install. My service definitely could've been better. They quoted me for a pre-hung door installation in my garage and showed up on installation day without a door. A week later I got a follow up asking for payment for the door and I never heard anything on back on why the door didn't come on installation day. Besides that, everything was good but the door was an important part of the project that they quoted and invoiced me for. Once I posted a yelp review I found out that they felt it was best to not deliver on work that we couldn't be 100% of success on. That is even more frustrating that I had to find out that my door was not going to be installed from a yelp review comment instead of a returned phone call or email from the company. If your not going to deliver something that you quoted, put in your order form, and put on my calendar in a calendar invite, it would be nice to hear that you decided you don't even offer that service. The contractors showed up on the day of and said, "I don't know what that door is, I've never done that." Now I'm stuck trying to find a new contractor with a project that will be delayed a few months because their inability to communicate properly. read more

I am not someone who likes to leave a bad review but in this case Since I gave Richard and Carlos every chance to correct the shoddy work that they did on my garage floor I feel compelled to do so. I hired Richard to epoxy my garage floor, the job was full of imperfections but I let it go, then about few months later, mind you this is supposed to be industrial grade material, I noticed the epoxy swelling up along the whole length of the garage entrance and a few places further inside had chipped, I called Richard and almost two months later Carlos comes over to fix the swelling and the chips, he did such a bad job that now I have a very obviously visible overlapping epoxy line the whole length of the garage, the area looks rough and not smooth and as for the chipped areas he only applied one coat, instead of the three required, so one can see the gray cement underneath. I emailed Richard and asked him to stop by and look at it but he didn't bother,all he said was "sorry about that I'll tell Carlos "and that's the last I heard from them. I guess the warranty is only as good the company behind it, and in this case it's not worth the paper it's written on . Maybe these guys know cabinets and do a good job, at least according to the reviews here but I will never give them my business again and neither any of my neighbors. Richard is quick to show up at your house to get the job but when something goes wrong he doesn't bother or care enough to show up and see what happened. read more

I hired a company to install my garage cabinets. After two months, they started to come off the walls. I called Garage Excell and asked for a bid to replace the cabinets. Rich came out and said why replace, we can repair and reinstall the existing cabinets. After receiving a few bids, he was the only company that suggested repair rather than replace. That saved me a lot of money. The garage is now finished, and couldn't be happier. I just read Ken W's review and it could have been written by me. My garage was the biggest eye sore you can imagine. We had a German Shepard that destroyed the garage. Richard really listened to my needs and then showed me computerized images of what my garage could look like. He made very helpful suggestions. I was sold! Richard had his crew completely empty my garage within hours! That is something I have wanted to do for 27 years. Then they had to do the repairs to the doors and walls. They even replaced door knobs! They put in new outlets and put up a ceiling fan. The painters came the next day and after that the epoxy floors were done. My garage was beginning to look beautiful. 2nd time around. Used them in 2014 and sold my home for a higher price. Bought another older home and had to have the laundry in the garage so wanted the epoxy again. Same great work! All the men especially Carlos was great! Interesting thing happened about 2 weeks after the floor was done. I was in the garage and shaking up a gallon of creme colored paint and dropped the can. I had about a quart of paint on the floor. Sopped it up and prayed. Left a big 2x2 foot smear. Got some soft scrub and scrubbed it with a broom then hosed it down. It was gone! Boy was I happy!!!! My wife and I finally decided to remodel our garage after we've remodeled our entire house years ago. We contacted multiple companies to get in-home consultation and free estimates for cabinetry. We also contacted Richard at Garage Excell based on their ad in a magazine and based on their multiple good reviews on Yelp and Angieslist. We couldn't be happier that we did. Richard was easy to talk to and very knowledgeable. He came over and listened to our needs and ideas. I even drew a sketch of what I wanted beforehand. Richard made constructive advices and changes to help with the dimensions of the cabinets and drawers in order to fit our space. He went over the different options in terms of cabinet finishes, color/finish, and handles. He sent us computer generated images of what our garage would look like (in 3D) with his cabinet design. Most amazingly, his price was lower than his competitors even though the quality of his cabinets appeared equal if not better than the others. Based on our comfort level with Richard and based on sense of trust in Richard and his company (because of what other people have stated in their reviews), we chose Garage Excell. The company finished the cabinets in the amount of time that Richard promised. They came to our house and professionally installed everything without any problems. They were even flexible enough to postpone the installation d/t delays in our garage work from our general contractor. The installation was efficient, accurate, and clean.
