I loveee Chinese bbq skewers and this was the perfect place. They had so many options and we cooked them perfectly. Also drinks were so cheap, like $8 for a mojito and a beer cocktail? If you haven't tried Chinese bbq or looking for an amazing place to eat them this is your place!! Located inside of the mall so you can spend time shopping around if there's a wait.

IG and TikTok tricked me again. I was so excited to try this place and came with too high of expectations. I will say the concept is interesting. The raffle did get me to eat more since my curiosity got the most of me and I wanted the chance to win! Who doesn't want the chance to win something and get to eat at the same time! I found out I have no patience to wait that long for my food to cook. Just watching the overpriced skewers go round and round and round, you seriously need to have a LOT of patience. Cool place to hang out with friends if you have time to just hang out and wait for your food to cook. The options were impressive enough but meat quality was not all there. The place was busy and popping when I went and there was a decently long wait. The location is interesting in that it's inside the flushing food court mall. I think kids would love this place because of the raffle which my goddaughter did end up winning a stuffed panda, but I don't know if I would want to go back again. It's self-serve and you had to wait for a cashier to ring in your items before you could go back to your table to start placing them on the grill. With the amount of food we had to cook, the two grills at each table were not enough. Or maybe I came with too many people... Customer service was good, but I can tell they were overwhelmed with the amount of people they were trying to serve at dinner time. We had to remind our server a few times and they would just tell us to order off the iPad. At one point, we had to have them explain to us how the whole thing worked, but we figured it out! It's a cool experience and I would say, you should try it at least once.

food was so good and service was so accommodating! we had a big group and they were nice about it, Lance is the best. I was craving spicy crawfish that I had in Chengdu, and this hit, it was just tails so it wasn't messy. Great selection of skewers and unique options like whole prawns and gizzards. we spent about $40 a person, and its open late!

Great decor with good food and service. Came for lunch and it did not disappoint. Ordered by scanning the qr code and checking off different items from you phone for them to bring the items to your table. Beef, shrimp, chicken, lamb and various seafood to cook on skewers that rotate on the table grill. Price ranges around 2 to 5$ per stick of meat. They didn't have okra and some items were out of stock when I went.

Came here for dinner. Staff was friendly. Restaurant was nice but can get quite hot with all the cooking at the table. The concept is cute but a little confusing and quite expensive. They charge per skewer but honestly there isnt much meat on the skewers. Just tiny bits and pieces. Depending on the amount you eat you get to play a game to win a prize after dinner. Overall cute concept but we probably wont go back.

There was a waitlist for about 30 mins before we got seated at the restaurant. This place is mostly self service where you choose your own skewers. We got an array of skewers and some add ons dishes. The cold cucumber salad was great and it helps cut the grease of the meat. The foiled enoki mushrooms and scallop were delicious and addicting. Overall, I don't think it's worth the wait for skewers.

Located in the back of the food court where the bar use to be in Tangram, you'll find this place with a self serve area. You get seated and you walk up to find the various selections of meat. You take your selections and walk towards the end where you will find someone to count your items to put on your tab according to your table number. If you order any "specials" like ready to eat kitchen things, then you order via the iPad at your table. As a first time experience, it wasn't bad, meat was fresh and tasty with their various dipping powders. They also gifted a flower to moms on Mother's Day! Note: the bill can add up really fast!

Overall 4.5/5: First time going to a dedicated skewer restaurant. It was a cool experience and enjoyed it, despite the music being too loud for my liking. There was a lot of energy in the place. The wait staff were friendly. Food was great but was pricey per skewer. Food 5/5: Delicious and tasted close to skewer cart (this is a win!). Would have loved to try more things but some skewers were up to $3 each so it got pricey fast. They did have a large selection of skewers to choose from. You get a wrist band with a QR code that tracks what skewers you order. Non-skewer items could be ordered using your phone. Everything was fresh. They had house-made spice and sauce packets at each table. Every table had a cheat sheet showing how long to barbecue each type of skewer. We tried the bbq scallops which were full of garlicky goodness and cold noodles which was a refreshing balance to the heat of the grill. Service 5/5: Friendly waiter. Gave us the run down on how things worked in the restaurant. Periodically checked in on us. No complaints. Ambiance 4/5: Prefacing that the high energy environment was not really my cup of tea but I know others may prefer it. Bright flashing lights and loud music playing over speakers drowned out conversation. That said, the tables were spaced well so every party had their own personal space and restaurant was clean.

Very lively and modern Chinese aesthetic. I loved the claw machine if you win for every 10 skewers you complete and put into the table. The service was friendly a little slow but I will attribute to how big the area is and multiple guest needing the servers. I love the selections of skewers you get to choose in the open refrigerator. The amount of meat was good for each skewers and the cuts was perfect. I enjoyed you had to do some of your own cooking so that was very fun. The cooked dish from the kitchen was the pan fried noodles, Eggplants, Enoki Mushrooms and the Scallops. The skewers after cooking were very tender and flavorful. I especially loved the Pig Intestine as it was very crispy after cooking. Definitely a fun place to bring friends and family to hang out.

It was a fun concept and I've been wanting to try a skewer spot with the rotating grill ever since the other one in Flushing closed a couple of years ago. We arrived right around when they opened for lunch and had to wait a bit for a table. No one told us what to do but I knew that we had to bring the bracelet with us while picking out skewers. They had a wide selection of ingredients available (vegetables, beef, pork, lamb, chicken etc) and I picked out some lamb, cumin lamb and beef tongue skewers. I don't know how the staff could tell the difference as the skewers all looked similar but they scanned the bracelet and I brought the skewers back to my table. They also had a fridge full of cold foods and oysters. At first the skewers on our grill weren't moving at all and it wasn't hot at all. After looking at the other tables, it turned out that our grill and smoke exhaust weren't even on so we had to flag down someone to help us. The chopstick/wet wipe kit on each seat was pretty useful. Tissues were hung above the grill. The skewers took a while to cook as our grill wasn't heated up yet. The cumin lamb skewer tasted the best to me. I think it would be helpful if they had a guide for how long to cook each type of skewer at the table. The smoke exhaust was right above the grill and blocking the light so the table also had a little lamp on the side to shine onto the meats to see if they were cooked or not. Check was paid at the table. There looked like to be an outdoor smoking area so if you're dining in, I'd recommend asking for a table away from the patio. Overall it was a fun concept to try but I won't be going back as you can get a lot more food from other skewer spots in flushing for the same amount of money. It's probably a more fun spot at night time then during lunch hours.

I really love that the skewers rotate and you don't have to worry about it too much. I also wish we came hungrier to try more skewers and more side dishes. Overall, the vibe was so cute and it was exciting to see our table neighbor try to chug beer in a small amount of time to get $$ off their bill. Little games like that and returning skewers for a chance to win a prize makes it exciting! The quality of skewers were pretty good but a little bit pricey compared to other places.

Anny S.

This was something fun to do as we arrive to flushing. I think the experience would have been better if the waiter allowed us to go to the bar and pick out our skewers instead of looking at the menu. The visual of the skewers would have allowed me to try more options inside of picking things I read on the menu. Place is clean and wasn't busy when we went. I would try another skewer bbq place so I can compare.

Michelle L.

I easily made a reservation for a group of us. We got confused finding the place and realized it's in Tangram's food hall. They had large screens and were playing the World Cup. You grab skewers and tell them your table number or scan the table bracelet. You can order à la carte. They have seasoning packets. The cocktails were cheap but small and light. The skewers were seasoned well. In the summer it can get hot in there. For every 10 skewers, you can try the crane for prizes, like stuffed animals and gift certificates.

I love that they have a huge variety of flavors and seasonings: 3 sauces, korean ssamjang peppers and garlic, 3 spice blends for dipping. The servers were all very friendly and gave us some great recommendations on what to order, so we got a combination of beef and pork cuts, as well as veggies and eel. The eel is so fresh and juicy, the waitress told us they get their eels live and process it in their own kitchen. They cook everything right in front of you, unlike kbbq places where you cook meat yourself. I also appreciated the good ventilation, we didn't smell like meat at all after leaving the restaurant! Additional notes: - we thought it was funny that they put sprinkles in the potato salad, it may seem kind of odd but definitely very Chinese (compliment btw) - it ended up being almost $50 pp for 4 people - we got lucky and didn't have to wait, but I hear there's usually a line, so definitely call ahead to suss out the wait

Unfortunately, we can't remember our waiter's name--it sounded like IfYUN. We're so sorry! Please forgive our "senior moment" and forgetfulness. He was very friendly and attentive. The restaurant itself was also very clean, comfortable, and had a great atmosphere. Overall, we really enjoyed our meal and would highly recommend Golden Pig. We'll definitely be back!

Nice place to stop by for some KBBQ…read more We came in a little early for dinner and were seated very quickly. The place is a little bigger than it looks from the outside, with a modern feel and a slight industrial look. One nice thing right from the get-go is that the seats double as storage for your jacket and anything else you don't want smelling like BBQ, so it's a good idea to use them. You place your order on a tablet, and when your food comes out, the staff grills it for you. We got the Mix Combo for 2, kimchi fried rice, and, of course, some beer and soju. The grillers/servers are all friendly, nice, and attentive. The meat is grilled well and tastes really good. One warning: the LA Galbi is VERY sweet! If you're a fan of sweet galbi, then this is your spot. My only critique is that you don't get more banchan (the side dishes that typically come with Korean meals). Other than that, this is more like one of the newer KBBQ places where the focus is on the meat rather than the overall Korean dining experience.
