Squid, pineapple beef, chicken skin, wagyu beef skewers
    Karen M.

We came primarily for skewers on our first visit and had a fun experience trying the various skewers and side dishes. (Note that the skewers are prepared in the kitchen so if you are looking to cook your own skewers this is not the spot for you.) Service was friendly and efficient and we enjoyed the variety available. We over-ordered a bit as each set was reasonably priced but warning, it adds up quickly so you should order your first round, find out what you like, then order more since there is a convenient iPad for ordering anytime. We enjoyed the beef, chicken, pork belly, fried tofu and squid skewers but weren't fans of the chicken skin (but worth a try). The skewers are brought out as they are ready (very quick) and kept warm on table-side tray with tea-lights. The ambiance was pub-like but def on the casual side.

You walk into the lower level of this 2 tier restaurant with hot pot upstairs and barbecued skewers downstairs. Do your check-ins before you enter because it's a data dead zone down here and post your pictures when you get home. The menu/ordering is on electronic tablet, though you can also give your order to a server. Most meat/seafood skewers come in multiples per order so be careful how you order. You can easily get carried away when ordering because everything looks so good and you'll rack up a big bill. Every table is equipped with a box and foiled grate that is heated by 2 votive candles underneath. Once in a while, a server walks by and throws a bunch of the skewers you ordered onto the grate and the candles keep them warm. We order the standard meats like beef, chicken, pork & lamb, along with Taiwanese sausage, squid tentacles & fish tofu. The seasoning is a spicy cumin spice blend on almost everything. You can also get vegetable dishes to round out your meal. My wife's favorite is the grilled miso garlic eggplant and we also get my son's favorite, stir-fried pea pod leaves & garlic. Side dishes we liked was the spicy cucumber salad with crunchy peanuts and the egg fried rice, which had really good flavor. I did not like their version of the Dan Dan noodles, which was way too watery. It's also worth it to come for holidays and special occasions. When we came in during Autumn Moon Festival, we were gifted a special treat, a egg yolk moon cake!

If you're looking for a late night/hangout spot to chat and tap with your friends, this is a perfect place to go. They have skewers, appetizers, and noodle/rice dishes along with alcoholic beverages.

Huge menu--100+ items and that doesn't even include drinks. This menu for sure has everything you and your group is looking for. My favorite is the Bone Marrow with Garlic. It's a sensational burst of flavor that pairs well with literally any other item you order, if you're into mixing. The aromatic milk tea is so light and delicately delicious. Cute presentation! Every skewer is seasoned very well. I'm a big spicy fan, but I rarely reached for the chili seasoning be used it is great as is. Very open space inside as well. Great place for a quick snack or night out.

10/17/25 really nice and spacious, has an iPad for ordering, staff was really attentive - garlic morning glory was pretty good, hard to mess that one up - sea urchin fried rice was super flavorful and good price for uni - grilled enoki mushroom was a flavor bomb like wow - the various skewers were good, we got the pork belly, chicken, beef, all grilled; pork intestine and chicken skin were deep fried. The grilled skewers were yummy, esp the beef. It was very tender; the deep fried ones could be crispier. Chicken skin SHOULD be crispier. The intestines had a sweetness to it that wasn't my fav.

a solid place to get skewers! prices are pretty standard, around $2-3 per skewer. my favorite ones are the beef skewers and beef tendon skewers, the flavor is great and the meat is not too tough. the skewers do get cold somewhat fast, even though it's placed on top of mini grill (it's heated by a candle of some sort). the squid skewer was a bit tough and rubbery, not my top recommendation. the hot dishes were surprisingly delicious. the fish fillet w/ sour pickled cabbage was flavorful and tasty, and just the perfect amount of spice for me. one downside is that it is a bit oily. the crispy sweet and sour pork (guobaorou) was unexpectedly one of the best i've had in flushing. it was very crispy, with the perfect combination of sweet and sour. even after half an hr or so, it was still crispy. definitely need rice with it though! there's usually little to no wait time and the service is great, you just order your items on an ipad and they bring it to you.

I'm not sure if it was late at night and we were tired from the day, but this place was perfect. It was one of the only places open and was packed but still had available tables. It had rows of tables but didn't feel squished or even that close to each other. The skewers were delicious and came fast, we had kept ordering more even though we ate so much during the day already. The server was really nice and helped us out whenever we were unsure of things. We had the dessert too and it reminded my friends of the desserts they used to have at home

I came here twice in the past two weeks, once with one of my friends and the other time with my fiancé. The service is always top notch. The staff is very friendly and everything runs really smoothly. You order your food on the tablets and then you send your order off to the kitchen within a few minutes they're bringing out your food and putting it on the warming tray so that it can keep warm as you chat and drink. I got the Mongolian beef skewers. I also got lamb and some other skewers accompanied with white rice and an apple Soju. The food was really good. The atmosphere was really nice. Everyone was friendly and this is definitely a cool place to just hang out relax and just chat or stuff your face and drink whatever the decision is it will be a fun time. I definitely will come back here.

OK, so I finally decided to stop gatekeeping Friendship BBQ from other Yelpers. I dine here often, like once or twice a month type of often, and love bringing my friends and family. So much so, it's one of the first restaurants I think about when I have visitors in town. The BBQ skewers are my favorite - try everything! The cumin, garlic, spice... all that FLAVOR! Some of my favorites include garlic eggplant, chives, enoki mushrooms, grilled oyster and grilled scallop with the best garlic sauce. Get the mango pomelo sago drink, it's so good. The staff is always on it and the food always comes out super fast. A+++

This restaurant is a fun alternative to the usual barbeque spots. You order from a QR code and you received skewered meats that stay warm on their little skewer warmers. Make sure you like cumin, though, because nearly all the meat is heavily cumin flavored! Some of our favorite foods were actually not skewers- the cauliflower was really good and so was the fried rice. One thing that's a little difficult is the English menu is not all translated - some of it is only in Chinese, and there aren't pictures for all the items on the menu. There is definitely enough on the menu though, even without going with those items.

Friendship BBQ was super busy on a friday night, as expected but we didn't have to wait long to be seated. The service was nice and quick. The decor was minimal, nothing too special. As for the food we ordered all your classic skewers like sausage, beef, intestines etc. which were all very solid. But we really came for some of their other dishes as well. We got the square toast, the fried rice, green beans and their milk tea dessert bowl. The square toast was fine, I wish they had a bigger scoop of ice cream on there but it was good with the condensed milk but the other syrup was too sweet. The fried rice was solid as well, it's very very simple but good for when you're eating skewers. The green beans were seasoned very well and I really liked the texture of them. Lastly the milk tea dessert was refreshing! Loved the variety here and I think their beer tower is pretty cheap as well! Great place if you want variety and affordable drinks!

This place was amazing. Good food and fun atmosphere. Wish we discovered it earlier. It's located downstairs of the Liu Yi Shou hot pot place. The skewers are made to order and brought out of the kitchen already grilled so there's no smoke or BBQ on the table. There's just a rack with tea lights to keep it warm while you eat. The pricing for each meat is very reasonable and the quality is pretty good. Everything is seasoned very well and cooked thoroughly. I loved the cumin lamb and the chicken heart skewers. The wagyu beef one was good also. What surprised me was the stir fry morning glory vegetable dish. It was perfectly cooked, not salty and very fresh. Loved it! Good addition of veggies for all the protein intake. I also got a steamed Scallop with vermicelli and black bean sauce. It was a bit too salty and spicy but after eating the Scallop, I loaded the leftover sauce onto the morning glory and it added a nice savory flavor. Definitely a fun place for a date or with a group of friends.

As a group of 5 with young children, we were seated at the corner seat which was further from the entrance and kitchen. The waiter barely showed up to check on us and we could only get serviced when waiters/waitresses walked by to service customers next to us. The stick beefs and lambs were delicious, but it took them almost 20 minutes to prepare the food. The meat were cooked just right, not too chewy for the kids at all. The spicy noodle was much spicier than expected. The restaurant was not good for big group as most tables were for 4 people. Street parking or you can park in the parking lot nearby, parking lot charges about $12 for two hours.

Food (4/5): For 6 of us (4F & 2M), we ordered just the right amount of food: Meat Lover's Stair Combo, Beef combo, veggie platter, 2 rice. I'd say that all of the meat was super tender but nothing stood out too much. None of the meat was marinated except for 1 meat in the stair combo that turned out to be everyone's favorite. For all that food it was about $40/pp. A free small cup of Hershey's vanilla ice cream at the end of the meal. Overall, had a great time and good food!

Cool place to hang out with friends if you have time to just hang out and wait for your food to cook. The options were impressive enough but meat quality was not all there. I think kids would love this place because of the raffle which my goddaughter did end up winning a stuffed panda, but I don't know if I would want to go back again. It's self-serve and you had to wait for a cashier to ring in your items before you could go back to your table to start placing them on the grill. With the amount of food we had to cook, the two grills at each table were not enough. Or maybe I came with too many people... Customer service was good, but I can tell they were overwhelmed with the amount of people they were trying to serve at dinner time. Let's be entirely candid: you do not come here strictly for a high-gastronomy masterclass. The food itself is pleasant, perfectly adequate, and entirely serviceable--though perhaps nothing too wildly extraordinary on its own. Rather, this is an establishment built entirely around theater and atmosphere. It is an experience best shared among a lively, larger group of friends where the energy of the room can carry the evening. Wagyu Place BBQ is one of the more upscale all-you-can-eat Japanese barbecue restaurants in…read moreFlushing, specializing in premium wagyu beef, sushi, seafood, and table-side grilling. We walked into a modern interior with a lively atmosphere, the kind of space that works well for groups or special occasions. The dining room had a polished, energetic feel with the grills built into each table and the staff moving efficiently between stations. Unlike most AYCE barbecue spots, the focus here is on higher quality cuts of beef, and the staff regularly came by to help grill the meat, making the experience feel more polished than a typical buffet. The wagyu is the main reason to visit. We ordered a selection and found the meat well marbled, tender, and noticeably better than what you would typically find at standard Korean or Japanese barbecue buffets. Depending on the menu we chose, there was a wide selection of Australian, American, and Japanese wagyu, along with sushi, sashimi, seafood, and other side dishes. Every meal also began with a cheese lobster, which came out rich and creamy, a nice addition before the barbecue started. We appreciated that the portions were generous, so it was better to order gradually instead of trying to sample everything at once, and the variety across the menu gave us room to explore different cuts and preparations. The dessert selection ended up being one of the biggest surprises. Fresh fruit like pineapple and cantaloupe was exceptionally sweet, and the soft serve and other desserts were a refreshing way to finish such a heavy meal. It helped balance out all of the rich meats, making the meal feel more complete instead of ending on another savory course. Service was another standout. The staff frequently checked on the table, replaced grills when needed, and helped cook and cut the meat to ensure everything was prepared properly. Since the restaurant is popular, reservations are a good idea during peak dinner hours, though the experience ran smoothly once we were seated. The team moved through the room with efficiency, and the pacing of the meal kept the flow steady without feeling rushed. Overall, Wagyu Place BBQ is one of the stronger premium AYCE barbecue experiences in Flushing. The quality of the wagyu, attentive service, and wide variety of barbecue, sushi, seafood, and desserts help justify the higher price. It is more expensive than a typical barbecue buffet, but if you are looking for a higher-end all-you-can-eat experience centered around quality wagyu, it is worth considering.
