Gamestop never delivered my 200+ dollar game on time, nor ever. Not only that, they charged me twice for it, AND they never notified me there was a problem with the order, AND my balance is now negative, AND they refuse to pay the bank fees, AND they refuse to reverse the charges, AND I don't have any money now, AND I still don't have the game! read more

I called and asked if they specifically had a refurbished Xbox 360 for sale, and the man on the phone told me no they only had a new one. I said okay thanks and went by the store that day with my dad to buy the new xbox. I asked again if they had a refurbished one and was meet with the same ancer of no, they only had a new one. So I bought the new xbox and a few games to go with it. When I asked for a second controller the man came from the back with a bright pink one (because obviously as a woman I like pink, right?). When I asked if he had a black controller he went into the back and got that one for me. After paying for everything I went home and opened the box to find a disgustingly dirty xbox covered in scratches and dust. I then opened the controller, which I thought was new as well, and it was in the same condition. I Immediately packed everything up and went straight back to the store. When I arrived the man who sold me the console tried to give me some B.S. excuse saying that he told me that he only had a refurbished console. My dad was with me the whole time and he also said that he clearly heard the man say that he only has a new consol. I then promptly returned everything totaling to almost $400. I will also never be returning to this specific Game Stop ever again. read more

I've bought my games here since I was a kid. It used to be called Funcoland. I've lived in Vacaville forever. Great customer service. Very kind employees. I love this place :) read more

I tried to trade in a game that I haven't played in a few months. The associate turns me away because the seal was half way off and then puts the seal back on the case saying he can't accept it because the game is still sealed. Yes, I came in with the game seal half on but it wasn't completely sealed and I watched him seal it back. I didn't know there is a rule of taken the seal completely off, maybe I like to keep the seal on case so I can use it. He proceeded to ask me where my receipt is, which I don't have because the game was bought months ago from the same store where I traded my old game to get. And the associate didn't want to listen to me when I explained I that I bought the game from the store. So I guess I need to go home and take all my games seals completely off if I want to trade them, even though I have traded past games with the seal partially on. read more

I use to love this gamestop so much. They always had great people, great selection and associates who knew most of the questions I had. Things have been changing sadly and not for the better. Most of the people working now seem like they don't really care about their job, seem rather unfriendly as well. There are still a handful who are really cool and nice and treat everyone like a friend however. All of the associates have to push so many things at you now when you just want to buy a single game. " Do you have a Power Up rewards card?" " Would you like to sign up for the Gamestop Credit Card? You're already pre approved" " Would you like to preorder anything?" "would you like a warranty on your game?" Gamestop is becoming annoying with all these nickle and diming schemes to get a couple more dollars or services out of customers instead of being that fantastic game store to go to for your gaming needs. I get this is a business, but this is why so many people order online now, less hassle and annoyance with being bombarded with the same questions for services. read more

If I could give 'Zero' stars I would. Never have I ever been so disrespected or lied to as a veteran. First off I'm new to town and this GameStop was close by my house. I just got an xbox one and decided to buy Call of Duty from this GameStop. The Call of Duty Disc was ineffective and would not work. That is fine, I go exchange it and go about my life. I then decide I want to purchase a Xbox 1 headset so I go to the same GameStop. I purchase a headset that had the wrong price on the box ($59.99 instead of $69.99). The female at the counter said she was going to honor the price and have me only pay the cheaper one. I thank them and go about my life once again. Less than a week with the headset it shortens out and stops working. I return to that GameStop for a exchange and that same female associate tells me that they are out of that same headset and that was final. They said I could purchase a more expensive headset, get my money back, wait a few days to get a new shipment in, or travel to a store out of town. Complete shit customer service. I tell her thank you but I will just take my money back and go else where. Upon giving my money back that same female associate tells me that when I initially purchased the headset I paid the full price instead of the cheaper price like she promised I would pay. She says blatantly to my face that she realized I paid full price but was already out the door. Basically GameStop lied to my face, took my money 'extra money' and kept it and never called me. I feel like I was lied too and robbed. Never again will I go back to that GameStop or any GameStop and I will forever tell everyone that I know who play games or have gaming consoles to stay away from game stops. I left the store, said my thank you and goodbyes staying positive and not arguing even after all this. read more

Kind of messy, games aren't alphabetized and if they are it's sloppily done. More negatives are that they can't locate games, the "computer" says they have one but they can't seem to find it. Sounds to me like they need to make sure people aren't stealing. second long lines due to under staffing. On my most recent visit I was disappointed I know I came in close to closing but I still don't think that is any excuse to be playing your own music. and especially unedited music at that. I normally spend some time in the store but I was really displeased with the atmosphere so I made my game selection and went to check out. One gentlemen was too involved in his music that he failed to noticed that I was waiting and the other was on the floor putting cases away but he happened to notice me and immediately came over and helped me. He went to look for the game and guess what... wait for it... he couldn't find it. But instead for letting me walk out he said if you are looking for a game my I make a recommendation. I said sure just wanting to see what he'd say in my surprise it was a game that I wasn't to familiar with so I was a little hesitant at first but after giving me some info on the game I was convinced. I got the game and I love. I am now going to be getting the rest of the series. This guy knew his stuff but not only recommend a game and losing a sale he now has future sales because I liked it and what to play the rest of them. I believe his name was Chris. Anyways during this time that he was helping me out a tiny line started to form just a couple of people but the second gentleman didn't seem to even notice. Don't get me wrong I love this place I usually have a great experience and for the most part the staff is great. Alex and Chris are my go to guys now they know what they are talking about and are super efficient when working together. All and all It's GameStop so how can you not love it!? I'll be returning for sure but avoiding certain staff members. read more
