This GameStop in Harbison Dr. It's really bad in costumer service. All the females employees are rude it's like we're bothering them. The male employee are not so bad. It's not the same after Nai left. She was nice always willing to help u. They're always on their phone and if u ask them a question they give u that look like go somewhere else. read more

This review is solely based on the store mandating masks when the county or state does not have a mask mandate. The workers were very polite inside but they were enforcing their company's horrible policy; which I do not fault the employees. Again they were just doing their job. But that being said GameStop will never get my business again. read more

GameStop seems to be the default, go-to place for new & used games, consoles too!... 'Along with a handful of miscellaneous other crap. (i.e. - Cell phones; gift cards, etc.) I believe this is the 2nd GameStop I've ever set foot in. Photo - http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/gamestop-vacaville?select=z7y1upayv4rsoATkdZQO9A#tSdG6sAFK02j-Q8PCx6E7A I remember thinking as I walked in, "There's a lot of people here on a Saturday evening... 'A lot of single, middle-age men, kinda people, collecting unemployment, living in their parent's basement. (I'm kidding! It's probably a friend's couch.) Photo - http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/gamestop-vacaville?select=z7y1upayv4rsoATkdZQO9A#z7y1upayv4rsoATkdZQO9A The clientele was mixed, small groups of guys, couples, parents w/kids, bums, and lone Comic-Con attendees like myself. Used game consoles - http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/gamestop-vacaville?select=z7y1upayv4rsoATkdZQO9A#fqHf1I9O13Ocqc1juzIkqA I was looking for a game that EL & I could play together that wasn't a first person shooter involving a sniper rifle, shotgun, killing orcs or large, multi-button play. (I'm not a huge gamer and she's even less so.) Since I was going spend a bit of time browsing the used XBOX 360 games and it was close to dinner, I figured I'd call in a to-go order @ Buddha Thai Bistro, just a few doors down. It's a Saturday night and of course Buddha Thai was packed w/a 40 min wait. My order will be ready to pick up in 30 minutes, "GREAT! That's plenty of time to find things to waste money on! Awesome!!" After looking and looking, not really sure WTH to get... I finally decided on LEGO Movie and Rayman Origins, for the XBOX 360. (Both games received relatively decent ratings.) I haven't bought a game for a while, let alone visited a GameStop and was quite surprised to see how many games are still out in circulation supporting the older XBOX Game System. (New & used games) 'Even with the XBOX One out in the market, the 360 still has a strong following that doesn't seem to be letting up anytime soon. (I blame Microsoft for trying to screw its loyal fan base with the BS they tried pulling when they first rolled out the XBOX One... 'Greedy, rat bastards.) I had a few questions and "Casey," (sp?) one of the associates was very helpful. As mentioned earlier, I'm a light recreational gamer... 'MOST of the time. However, I can easily get drawn to the allure of the all mighty, "Just one more level," syndrome. I have to give the team here credit for their customer service. I don't know what it was about that particular night, maybe there was an @sshole convention in town. Within the short time I was there, there were three incidents where customers were getting loud & irate over store policy regarding returns, refunds, & exchanges. WTH people?! It's a business, it's your own responsibility to understand the store's policies when YOU'RE making the purchase... "Try reading once in a while, Bif!" (Some places need an anti-@sshole policy.) I also picked up an extra controller, XBOX OE, brand new. (They were out of used ones.) XBOX 360 Controller Wireless Elite: $50 Yes, my eye did twitch when I heard the price... Oh well, I needed it! The price of the used games weren't too bad, felt they were relatively fair. (I was @ Best Buy recently and their selection and prices for their pre-owned games sucked, putting it nicely.) Rayman Origins: $19.99 LEGO Movie: $17.99 Grand Total: $94.90 'Nothing says, "I painstakingly took the time & effort to buy you the perfect present," like a generic gift card." - Any gamer Photo - http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/gamestop-vacaville?select=3FUmCmxGb2mpkPZaRtCaPA#3FUmCmxGb2mpkPZaRtCaPA While I was there, I took a look @ some of the games that I have in my collection to see what they were going for... Plants vs. Zombies (Used): $22.99 Photo - http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/gamestop-vacaville?select=z7y1upayv4rsoATkdZQO9A#46eXst816mAH0HQyX3pX4A Sonic Generations (Used): $17.99 Photo - http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/gamestop-vacaville?select=z7y1upayv4rsoATkdZQO9A#m92YDscYvYbU4lZxIM5hvQ GameStop also had a POWERUP reward system that you can use towards future purchases/trade-ins once you've accumulated enough points. It also allows you to receive promos for exclusive discounts & invites. (i.e. - Junk mail) Overall, an "Okay," shop. The XBOX 360 games were spread out in three different areas - On the wall, a revolving display, and an island just across from the register. For the most part, the titles were relatively organized. It wasn't a huge clusterf*k, which I somewhat expected. I tried to return the games in the spot where I found them. "HEY! 'Respect the shop, let alone your fellow gamers... Remember, you'e not @ home in your mom's basement!! Happy gaming! PS - If you've never tried Buddha Thai that's just a few doors down from here, you're missing out! - Big Aloha! A close friend of mine attempted to pick up an order at this location and unfortunately was racially profiled. Although she presented proof that the order was indeed hers the manager by the name of Nai would not complete the transaction and giving her the merchandise that had clearly already been paid for. This was such a terrible way to treat a customer and even worst that there was profiling taking place. In addition to this Yelp review there will be communication with corporate in hopes that an unexpected customer doesn't experience this same level of disrespect and lack of appropriate customer service. Extremely disappointed with NAI and this will not be tolerated read more

I was looking for a cooling fan for my new PS5. I decided to go to Gamestop due to the fact it's a Game store and would have good luck finding the item I'm looking for. So I drove to Gamestop, parked my vehicle and entered Gamestop. I was immediately confronted and asked if I had a mask. I said no, and was immediately told and I quote : "if you do not have a mask, you can not shop here"... I was offended due to the fact I was called out in front of several customers. I was never offered a mask or any other option. The (Female) Employee was blatant rude! I will never walk through Gamestops doors again or waste my hard earned money on this (Block Buster) Place. read more

I have to say the customer service here is non exsistant.. Takes fooooorever to get any kind of help here.. If theres more then 2 people in the store i dont even bother trying to purchase anything because i just cant stand in line 20mins for a 30second transaction. God help you if you get stuck behind someone trying to sell a used console back to the store because you will literally die before getting out with your purchase... Ill just buy my games digitally from now on.... Worst game stop around here...... read more

I really cannot recommend this store to anyone. I bought a "new" (not "pre-owned") copy of a game on Gamestop.com for pickup at this store. 30 minutes later, I received an email that the order was available for pickup. When I came to the store to pick up my order, a rude employee named Itzel showed me a disc in a paper sleeve and told me that she did not have the case. I showed her the order form that indicated that I had purchased a "NEW" copy and not a "pre-owned" game. She informed me that it wasn't her problem and that it was a new disc. I then asked why she had not at least emailed me while the order was being fulfilled to inform me that she did not have a new copy but merely a disc in a paper sleeve. She said that it wasn't her job to do that. I was given a refund, but the entire affair was a complete waste of time. It's not so much that she didn't have the right item in stock, but that she sent a confirmation email that the order for the "new" copy of the game was available for pickup. She should have instead simply canceled the order before I drove out there since she indeed did not have a new copy of the game in stock. Also her rude manner and poor handling of the debacle made for an unpleasant experience. The incompetence and rudeness of Itzel is beyond measure and for this reason I cannot recommend this location. read more

This review is not against the staff. Just the way of doing business. GameStop will have you make the purchase through their website. I made a legit purchase, they charge my card and despite showing proof, I'm unable to get the product I ordered. I suggest you all might as well order online and don't waste your time going here. Pathetic. read more

GameStop has no price matching guarantee on new products within any window unless you somehow don't open your product. It's better to buy from pretty much any retailer currently unless you are absolutely happy to purchase at set pricing. All of their local and online competition offers price guarantees. I sincerely hope GameStop can survive on FuncoPops and pre-orders that offer zero monetary discount. read more

I have purchased a $ 162.18 ASTRO A20 WIRELESS HEADSET that quit powering on a month later and the store did not help with anything. They told me to contact the manufacturer. Unacceptable. Horrible customer service, took forever and the guy was completely clueless. Very disappointed. read more

Terrible customer service!! I bought my son a switch for his birthday from the Vacaville location I also bought the warranty. For some reason the switch stopped holding a charge when I callled about a replacement I was told by the manager that because the switch won't hold a charge it voids the warranty. When pressed about explaining the warranty policy the manager said she didn't need my attitude and hung up on me. Pathetic customer service and terrible management. read more

I like this store because it is not as busy as Antelope. Although the staff is friendly they are sort of slow, like really slow LOL. If you get stuck behind somebody who doesn't know the answer to anything and they are trying to trade in a system then be prepared to wait an eternity as the employee bombards the customer with an endless stream of questions that the customer doesn't know the answer to! For example, do you have an account, do you want an account, how gigs is your hard drive, do you want to apply this credit to the pre order etc etc etc. A good tip would be to poke your head in the door and see if there is anybody at the register before going in to do business. read more

Super SLOW service. Came in to sell some games, two guys working only one actually attending to customers. Not good customer service especially from the guy not attending to customers. The whole process to sell the games was at snail pace, not sure if the guy was new. Anyways, I'm glad I don't patronize this place often. read more

Don't have a problem with the employees. I was told they're unable to accept Gamestop credit cards in the area. Waiting from local upper management to call me back! I've already talked to their customer service, Comenity Capitol and Gamestop Corporate office about the matter. Long story short, I am not happy and I'm guessing if anybody else has the card won't be either! read more

Has a reasonable amount of console games but almost no PSV games. I managed to pre-claim a copy of Zero Time Dilemma before hitting the store. Unfortunately the cashier was slow as ever and it easily took 20 minutes of waiting 3rd in line (!). Granted there was only one staff worker there, but that simply means that management up there in the higher reaches of GameStop should be adjusted. Hopefully this two star rating can wake them up even if it's just one simple read! read more

On October 2nd I went down to pick up my copy of Assassins Creed Odyssey Deluxe Edition which I was told I could pick up on October 2nd . They lie to you still to met their sales quota . read more

Wish I could give zero stars. I won't waste my time here anymore because this is not the first time I've been turned away from trying to make a purchase. Tried to purchase 3 switches and they said 1 per household ...then another time tried to purchase 3 games. They said only 2 per household. It's Christmas time. So you can't buy what you need if you have 3 kids? How inconvenient to have to drive all the way to another city just to get exactly what we wanted from the same store chain. What made it worse was the smarty pants attitude they had in the Vacaville store. Not like we were trying to buy an outrageous amount of stuff. So anyway, on 2 separate occasions, neighboring Game Stops in other cities sold this all to us with with NO questions and NO problem. I'm through with Vacaville GameStop. Horrible horrible service. read more

I called and asked if I could exchange a new game I recieved 2 of for christmas even though I wasn't gifted with a gift reciept. I told them I wanted to call and make sure before I walked 2 hours to the store with bad knees. The guy said it would be ok for an exchange. I walked all the way to the store and stood in a long slow line on swollen painfull legs and they told me they couldn't do it. I told them this is why I called and asked and they literally shrugged and said there was nothing they could do, they had "made a mistake". They told me if I opened it and said it was used they would give me a few bucks for the new game! I have gone to this gamestop for probably almost 10 years and it just keeps getting worse. The fairfield gamestop outside the mall has never let me down. I guess from now on I'll have to go there because this place just keeps getting worse. read more

I hate going here. The staff is very slow and always ignores me. I have to practically jump up and down and scream in order to get someone to even consider asking me if I need help. Every now and then I find myself here on my lunch break looking for a game for my brother or boyfriend. This store is pretty small but they have been here for a long time and always have what I'm looking for in stock. I even managed to buy my Wii here years ago when they were in high demand and I couldn't find one anywhere else. This GameStop can get pretty busy. Went to make a return and it wasn't busy so i stood behind the person that they were helping. Yeah technically i wasn't in the line starts here line but I've seen others do this and still get helped. We were waiting for a few minutes and the worker (white going bald with glasses) didn't say anything to us about waiting in line where we were at and he even greeted us, until someone got in the line starts here line then he (white going bald with glasses) told us that we need to get in the line and that he (white going bald with glasses) was going to help us after the other customer. Terrible customer service, they are very rude here. Better to go to the one in the mall.

Came in to get store credit for a game we have had for over a year. Apparently it still looked sealed even though it's obviously been open so they refused to take it in. Ok this is strictly based on what I experienced over the phone. Its 230 pm on Friday, I call to get a quote for COD Ghosts trade in value. The poor girl who answers is there ALONE, keeps me on hold for 9 1/2 mins before I hang up and call back. Informs me that her managers name is Jake and he isnt there. Who in their right mind makes someone work ALONE on a Friday and has customers hold on the phone for nearly 10 mins for a question that could take 20 seconds to answer. Ridiculous. I was in this Gamestop on the evening of 9/6/18, around 8:30-8:45. I recently unearthed and old Nintendo Wii stuffed away that my older kids used to play. My 8 yo is prime to play on this type of game system after playing Mario, Donky Kong and other classic Nintendo games on an NES classic box. I carefully select 7 pre-owned games as one of the clerks told me that if I renew /upgrade my old membership to pro @$14.99, buying pre-owned would knock my renewal down to practically zero. I presented the boxes I selected to another clerk at the cashier and watched as he pulled the discs from the drawers behind the counter. It looked as if he was mixing the displays covers with the actual game covers, but I thought he knew what he was doing. He scanned everything and I ran my card as he bagged them up. When I arrive home with my 8 year old, to our shocking surprise, SIX OF THE SEVEN BOXES WERE EMPTY, NO GAME DISCS. I WAS SOOOOO PISSED. HE SOLD ME 6 EMPTY BOXES. I might have expected 1, or maybe even 2, BUT 6 OUT OF 7, NO WAY!!! It was after 9 (closed) so I couldn't even call them much less return to pick up the discs I had paid for. I live a good 15 miles away and I expect something for my inconvenience. How FREAKING INCOMPETENT!!! read more

I was doing a doordash order for a customer and as soon as I walked in the manager in duty Nai, yelled with an attitude for me to stand outside and wait. I didn't think much of it because it's Covid so I just went outside. When it was my turn to go in, I went in and spoke to another associate who was really helpful and I showed him the order number on my app and he proceeded to look for the item. Nai, who was supposedly helping another customer, told the associate that I wasn't allowed to have said item until I knew what it was. On my app it only said "bag" so I called the customer and asked her what it was and she told me and I told both associates what the item was and she still refused to give me the item. She told me to "call doordash and tell them that she didn't want to give me the item." That woman racially profiled me because she openly gave everyone else her orders and as soon as I walked in she snapped at me and I hadn't even uttered a word. This establishment should be ashamed of themselves for hiring a racist manager and I will be taking this to social media and letting everyone know about this ridiculous incident. read more

One of the more well-organized GS stores locally. Friendly staff and great location.

I remember when I was younger I used to love coming here and chatting with the employees about video games or movies even if I wasn't coming to buy anything. Sadly, this is no longer the case. Maybe the store is under new management or maybe the old employees grew up and the new guard just isn't well trained but it seems that whenever I visit my local gamestop I leave disappointed. My most recent time I reserved a controller online and was notified that they put it aside for me. When I got there the employee seemed clueless that they even had that option and come to find out they were out of stock of the controller that they told me they reserved for me (makes no sense). Luckily, I only wasted a ten minute drive but it's still annoying. My suggestion: make the trip to the Gamestop's in Fairfield if you have any questions, they're more organized and the staff is much better. read more

Horrible customer service, if theres is anyone else in front of you here be prepared to wait a while. Came in to buy a game for my younger brother and had to wait around 30-40 minutes to pay when there was originally only one person when I showed up already paying. Once i found the game he wanted which took me a minute at most, I was standing in line for a ridiculous amount of time and then when i was done i found my self being cut in line by another simply because he had a question on a preorder and was pushed in front of me where they began to talk about upcoming games and preferences for another 20 minutes, over all spent a hour to pick up a single game at this store. Avoid this place if you can read more

We ordered a new Wii U for a special price. Althiugh it was advertised as both an in-store and online sale item, we found out that the local store was out of stock. The ad specifically stated that the item was NEW but when it arrived it was obviously used. I waited on hold for over an hour 2 different times to talk to someone at customer service but there was no follow up and so I eventually ended up dealing with folks at the local store to try to get the company to stand behind the original ad for a new system. After long efforts and a wait for a system that was ordered from another store the replacement unit was obviously used as well! Clearly the original ad was just a bait and switch to sell used units. read more

So basically I don't think I will ever shop here again. I preordered my Modern Warfare 3 months before release. I put the money down and said I want the Prestige edition (this was before they annonunced that it was to be called Elite). But I let them know it wasn't for the regaular game it was for the next up since I don't need to buy another XBOX. So months pass and finally it's release day. I go there after work and wait in a line that wraps around the store. There was 4 people at the check stand but only 2 working. It was hiliarious because the customers behind me were making fun of the blonde girl standing behind the people at the cash register just standing there looking like an idiot. I finally get to the counter and say I'm here for my MW3 Xbox Elite copy. I give her my PowerUp card and I see her make a funny face "You only have the regualr copy reserved" What?? I explain to her that no I did not order the regular there must be a mistake and she said that all orders were taken as the orginal game and they had to call people who reserved it to change the preorder to the Elite version and they had so many customers they weren't able to get to everyone. I was fucking pissed. I then told the bitch if I would have known that months ago I would've made sure to come change my order but I was told it was all good. She preceeds to tell me that the Elite edition isn't anything special it juz comes with the year elite subscription and the metal case. You know what I don't give a fuck because I want the case. I want what I ordered. I don't own a Halo Reach xbox & Gearz of War xbox because I just wanted the game. I would've just bought the fucking game. I honestly wanted to tell the dumb bitch to give me back my preorder money so I can walk down the street to Target. I wasn't trying to cause a scene since there was so many people in line and I was being cool. I will not spend another dollar in there. And that's coming from someone whos bought 4 Xbox there including 2 Gears 1 Halo Reach & a Slim. Plus every fucking game I own. They need to hire someone who knows what they are talking about instead of some Star Wars nerds. read more

Please share and buyers beware On Saturday April 25th, 2015 at 12:07 p.m. I purchased MKX (mortal Kombat) from GameStop in California. When I opened the game at home, there was a child's movie (Dora The Explorer) instead of the game in the disc holder. I promptly contacted the GameStop and spoke to the store manger, who instructed me to contact the game developer, and told me they could not help me. My friends and family also advised me to contact customer support for GameStop, which I did. The customer support person I spoke with said they would let District manager know and they would handle it from our region. My advice to you is if customers are purchasing new or used games from this company, to have them open it in front of an employee before they leave the store to ensure they receive the correct merchandise. read more
