I like that dude very much, this is a one star rating updated into a 5 star solely for Frank. Good move on corporates part. Enter at your own risk. Staff is often, and sometimes always, a combination of lazy, untrained or disengaged (talking and laughing amongst themselves and not offering anything resembling customer service). And they don't answer the phone. They stay true to crappy service. read more

Service was absolutely terrible here. We walked in twice and were not acknowledged either time. The employees were on their phones and not paying attention to customer needs. Jillian cut me off as I was speaking to talk to her co-workers. She rung us up, told us we received the $25 off, but we did not. As we returned to highlight this issue, she left the room and let her co-workers answer our questions. We cancelled our order due to terrible service. My 9 year old son was saving money for 6months to buy for himself the WiiU game Mario Cart 8. Called ahead and Victoria held it for us, until he could gather his money and shoes. Upon arrival, we were greeted with enthusiasm and a smile. Victoria was very patient and kind with him as he counted out his money (including $1.64 in pennies) She treated him as if he were buying out the store. She called him by name and stated she would "see him next time". Thank you Victoria! It was his first ever purchase with his money that he had earned and saved. I ordered some things online and only received half of them. Waited a week, still didn't get the remaining 3 items, so I called customer service. Three times. Waited a total of two hours on the phone, and they still didn't answer, so I decided to go into this store. The employee told me he couldn't refund me for items that I didn't have. I asked him how am I going to get my money back for something ya'll never sent me, that I already payed for, but never received? He basically told me he couldn't help me and to call customer service. Thanks, I didn't think of that. I'll never shop at GameStop again, and I guess I'm out $50? Horrendous customer care. Please guys shop somewhere else. read more

My family and I have gone into this store several times, and we are CONSISTENTLY wowed by the employees' excellent customer service! They are ALWAYS friendly, super knowledgeable, helpful, and honest. The thing is, it's not just one or two of them, it's every employee I've ever encountered there! That's amazing training in action. Was in here just the other day while my husband traded in some 360 games and we shopped for some new ones. We were both greeted as soon as we came in and the same gentleman (Sam) asked us what kind of games we were into. The way he did it was genuine, he didn't holler at us from across the store he physically approached us..... But not to close in our bubble. Being in retail and prior retail management.... That was such a simple question but one of the best open ended questions EVER! High five Sam! Someone trained you well! Anyways, Sam talked with us quite a bit about some of the games he played or was currently playing that I would find enjoyable. I loves that his opinions on games were not cookie cutter like "it has awesome graphics" he picked out certain qualities in games people don't normally comment on such as the soundtrack.... If I'm going to sit/invest eight hours in a game I don't want to have to stick the tv on mute only two hours in! Which is why I took his recommendation and purchased Child of Light. And I have seriously not stopped playing it. My husband picked out a few other games and we proceeded to check out. Sam let us know of games similar to the ones we were purchasing that were coming out that we needed to keep an eye on and not in the pushy salesman type way...these were game titles I have never heard of and they didn't have advertising for all over the store. Other people came and went while we were in the store but he extended the same awesome service to each of them and made sure everyone was greeted when they came in. If I could have gave more stars I would have my husband and I went home happy and it was any over all amazing customer experience! Thanks Sam! read more

I ordered something for my son online but this store was the only had the product to pickup. I got two emails from online saying the store will check the product availability at the store and will get an response promptly. But never got an email for two days so I called the store to check the availability. Employee (manager) was really rude from the beginning, when I stated I haven't gotten an email yet from the store he said the order is been here couple days. When I stated I haven't received an email he said, "You should check your spam." I said I already checked spam and it wasn't there. He said, "For the third time product is here." They forgot to send an email about the product availability and covering up the crime by being blaming the customer. This will be the last time I will be doing any business with Game Stop, not the only fish in town. read more

One of the better places to buy video games and related items. The staff is fairly knowledgeable about most of the games and systems. They have usually been fairly friendly and willing to answer my many questions. Sometimes you have to stand around for a few minutes until the next associate is available, as they are usually fairly busy, but it is definitely easier than trying to get specific answers at some place like Best Buy, Walmart, or Target - where the associates usually don't know much about the games or the systems. Being a huge Skylanders fan, they have always been helpful in helping me locate some of the harder to find characters for the game and have spent time calling for me to other area locations looking for something that I was interested in acquiring. read more

Jake had many suggestions and showed my son how to use a display to show him details about the game and also reviews about games so he could make a good decision. I like this store because you can always find a cheap used game to play with the whole family. What I do not like about these stores is the arrogant and unusually geek-o-centric sales guys at the front desk. We went in for something that the hubby needed for his Xbox 360, he just had to have a xbox live component. fabulous! While he was looking for the perfect attachment to his game the rest of us were being treated like we were a waste of time. My children wanted a new game that I had no idea existed. The game guy didn't bother to help us at all and when I asked if other stores in the area might have this game, the guy completely ignored me as he gossiped with another geek-a-zoid. My hubby is a little geek-eeee but these guys take the cake. I just feel that if you are trying to sell something you should be nice. Too Bad and Boo on them for not being more kid friendly. I will stay clear of this gamestop in the future. My husband on the other hand was treated with great respect and granted his every wish...lol. So goes to show you what clients they are banking on. read more
