I love their large $1 bin for issues and how they organize their new issues for the week, trades from DC/Marvel, mangas, and dedicated kids section. Samurai is somewhere you'd definitely want to come back to every week.

Families already have a hard enough time finding Pokémon products at reasonable prices, and pricing them this far above retail makes it feel like the store is taking advantage of demand rather than supporting the local gaming community. I'd much rather spend my money at a shop that charges a reasonable premium and builds long-term customer loyalty. Unfortunately, based on the ETB pricing I saw, I won't be buying Pokémon products here.

That really showed on a recent visit when I tried to return a can of paint I had bought the day before, after realizing I already had that color. The store manager looked at me like a disapproving parent, sighed, and told me I "return too many items." She didn't say I was breaking any store policy -- only that it was inconvenient for them. I've made returns before, always with a receipt and always following their clearly posted return policy. For how much I've supported the store, it honestly offended me to be spoken to that way. It felt condescending and uncomfortable in a place I used to really enjoy. I did get my refund as a gift card, and I went back today knowing it would probably be my last visit. I picked up a board game and set it down on a table while I looked up what sleeves I'd need. An employee came over, took the game without a word, and put it back on the shelf. I said, "Oh, I was going to get that," and he just said "oh" and walked away. When I went to check out, that same employee -- who knew my name -- had a rude attitude the entire time. After I asked for my receipt, he looked at me and said, "Mind the return policy this time." That sealed it for me. I won't be going back to this store, even though I still have reward points left from all my past purchases. It just doesn't feel like a welcoming or safe space anymore. I have a Barnes & Noble's premium membership so I like to check out the stores to see if there are any good books or deals. I get an automatic price reduction was a member. Today I bought some paper maps because I realized we had no updated maps in our car or house. I found those in the local interest area that also had a lot of cool books about Arizona. There's a center kiosk with a clerk if you have any questions about books as well as employees, walking the store and at the front register.
