NO PRESSURE w/ EASYGOING STAFF! I love that this is one of the few GameStops where I can walk-in and not feel any pressure to buy something. I've never gotten anyone breathing down my neck or following me. The staff acknowledge you and greet you, but they're chill. Also, if you have any questions they are very helpful. This is a good-size Game Stop they usually have a variety of new, used, and pre-order games. I used to be a GameStop member where you can get discounts on stuff but the price to renew is high so I don't do it anymore. However, I still visit GameStop when I need the new hottest game or I'm searching for a Funko Pop exclusive. I just stopped by at this location recently and some of their stock was a little old. I found it quite interesting Blaine was so eager to greet everyone else other than me. Blaine even walked to the front of the store to greet new "customers" while completely ignoring me on the way there. When I went to purchase the item. It was the very first time anyone specifically asking to not only verify the usual number and me providing my name first (name is already unique). Prompting he needs to know it is truly me. I told him he could have easily requested my ID. Sadly to say, it didn't dawn on me that it may be an ethnic bias based on interactions and tone directed towards me. He then proceeded to act extra friendly after purchase when I viewed the yelp score at the counter. Also, please be mindful of your word choices as other you are speaking with your peers costumers can hear what you are saying. Positive: the store was pretty stocked. Went in to purchase a game for my grandchildren that was priced $39.99, when I was paying at the register the game price rang up at $59.99! I spotted it and insisted that since it was priced at $39.99 I shouldn't be charged $20 more because someone didn't remove the "correct sticker price". The girl at the register called the owner and they refused to honor the sticker price! Look carefully before you enter your credit card because you're probably going to be ripped off! read more

I went into the GameStop in Beaumont, CA today with the intention to purchase Final Fantasy VII Rebirth and I thought I would take a look at the Switch games to see what they have first. I was approached by Blaine (I believe that is his name). He was a balding and older white guy. He asked me if I was looking for anything in particular and I replied to him that I was just looking around for now. I later went up to the counter to ask him about Final Fantasy VII. He rudely responded with "Yes, we do but NOT FOR THE SWITCH," when I never even said anything about the Switch to him. He then proceeded to tell me that he can't sell me the Deluxe Edition. Again, I never asked him anything about the Deluxe Edition, but since he mentioned it, I decided to ask him about what came with the deluxe edition. He seemed very annoyed and angry at me after I asked him that question. He looked up the info for me and then proceeded to remind me in an angry tone that he cannot sell it to me! Again, I never said anything to him about me wanting to buy the deluxe edition. I remained calm and I told him I'll take the standard edition. As he was ringing me up for the standard edition, I let him know that I wanted to use my $5 monthly reward since I am a Pro Member. He straight out lied to me by telling me that I don't have a $5 monthly reward. He said it won't renew until tomorrow (March 1st) because today is leap year. I thought what he said was odd because I haven't even used my $5 monthly reward for the month of February! Honestly, I think he's just trying to meet his sales quota by not giving me my $5 reward. Anyway, I couldn't stand his rudeness any longer. I told him to cancel the transaction. He was a very aggressive and rude person. He makes the DMV workers look like saints and he also makes me not want to return to GameStop. He tried to tell me that he means no disrespect but the damage has been done. Getting there: Exit Highland Springs Ave on the southside. You'll see the Taco Bell, Wingstop, Ross and other restaurants. There is parking all throughout the lot but it's a busy area so depending on the time of day parking in front of the store could be hard to find. Experience: My trip here was a quick one as I called ahead of time to check their nintendo switch inventory. To my luck they had just restocked, however they only had the newest edition OLED system. I was very adamant about purchasing a switch that day and since everywhere else out was sold out I didn't have much of a choice. The woman behind the register was quick to help me get everything I needed to get started. My first trip here has been an inexcusably long one. I came to trade some hardware/software and buy new merchandise. I waited in line for approximately 15-20 minutes while Jose (nice enough guy) assisted with a single transaction. It then took another 10 full minutes for me to trade in seven games and an Xbox 360 console, primarily because Jose moves with zero urgency. I fully understand customer service trumping speed, but there were four people behind me and my transaction was quite simple as I've done it dozens of times in the past. Then I browsed for a few minutes and selected two new games. I was in line behind three customers. This is usually not a terrible situation, however the same lack of urgency was on display and this ordeal took another 30 minutes. These were all very basic transactions, I might add. I think the thing that had me dissatisfied the most, was there was a clearly more experienced female employee that could have assessed the situation and given Jose (who by this point I've concluded is just new) a hand. I get that it's close to closing time and there are tasks that need to be completed, but your guy is struggling and your customers are standing in line Yelp-ing. The employees were not rude in any way, they just need to take notice of log jams and give each other a hand. This trip should never have taken close to a whole hour. read more

I had the best experience at this location last night. I have had the new Kingdom Hearts 3 game preordered for two years because it was a Christmas gift from an ex-boyfriend. When I went in to pick up my game the staff had let me know that he had actually went in and cancelled the order three days prior (what a jerk). So my instant reaction was crying and I left very disappointed because I had been waiting for the game for a very long time and I didn't have the money at the time to buy a $67 game. However, one of the employees that night, Gabriel, ended up following me out after seeing I was upset and he actually bought me a copy of the game so I could play it that night and I was completely in shock. What a great employee and seemingly great guy. Kindness goes a long way and should be rewarded. read more

Ordered a new game and received a used game in the mail. Went to this Beaumont CA location for refund on 9/23/22. Manager was rude and acting like i was trying to scam her on a 20-dollar game. This situation was handled unprofessionally. When i order a new game i expect it to be new sealed, this was used, had fingerprints on the disc, no plastic wrap, inserts were bent, and case had damage. Manager stated i got a floor copy and acted as this is normal for a new game at GameStop. Gave me a hassle to get a refund when it's there mess up. Finally, she said i can refund you just this once (like it's my fault again). I lost out on the shipping and the 15-dollar coupon. I will never shop at GameStop again thanks to the unprofessional manager at the Beaumont ca location and receiving a used product not new. There is plenty of other places to shop who respect their customers and make it right without the hassle that i was put thru. read more

I have been going to this GameStop since I moved to Beaumont several years ago they have always been helpful getting me what I want and also providing me with the information for what's coming out and anything else I need to know about the gaming world. I did want to talk about 2 employees here that make me always want to come back and only buy everything from this store no matter if it's a game or just getting Xbox cash or PS cash to buy something online. Richard and Joel are the 2 employee's that I'm talking about they are always friendly and always helpful. These two Guy's are a great example of what customer service should be. The associates of this store are nothing short of spectacular , friendly ,and put the individual at the #1 priority . Don't let these other people who have no idea what its like to work in a retail environment, or let alone a game stop sway you with their complaints on time ! I personally have had to wait in the line on their busy days anywhere between 20-40 min , and had many great nights chatting with the associates on up coming games on slow nights . With that said i have no complaints what so ever they only have 2 registers and 2 employees at a given time ITS A SMALL STORE, don't like it come back later ! just remember that patients is a virtue and that people working behind the counter are people too, not robots !! cut them a little slack please, quit being a bunch of cry-baby's ! If there was a way to give a half star this store earned it. I have been searching for a cleaning disc for my Wii. Trouble shooting online suggests options, I inquire with Game Stop to hopefully purchase and restore our console. The person at the register refused to help, didn't want to make recos or even look into it. First excuse not in stock even though website said yes, also stated not avail for online purchase. Customer service should be cleaned up at Game Stop in Beaumont/Banning. Staff should be. knowledgable and able to help. Im researching for the right product and meeting road blocks, I would hope that game stores would at least have a suggested remedy, unless its all about the profit and not providing good quality service. read more

I been coming to gamestop in Beaumont for many years now. I per order many of my games through GameStop. I was placed on a waitlist for ps5 around May. I knew I was one of the first to do so and I will explain why. July I went again to gamestop to per order more games and I asked if I was still on the waitlist, they said yes. I go back August to pre order more games, and again, I told the employee if I was on the waitlist. He told me yes and re assured me that I will be called because I was the third one on the waitlist. When Sony announces the price of the ps5 and launch date I called gamestop and they told me i was going to be called the following day for pre orders. I get a text from a friend of mine in Illinois and he said if I was able to pre order The ps5 because they started to take in pre orders. I quickly called the gamestop in Beaumont and was told by an employee that he didint know there was a waitlist and they just gave it to everyone that called and walked in. Wtf gamestop. Why have this fucking waitlist and don't bother to tell your employees to honor the stupid system in place. This was not the only time this shit happened to me. Also with the dark souls amiibo pre order waitlist. I thought I was on the clear this time around since all the employees there have been working for a long time. I doubt they didint know about the waitlist. I felt sorry for gamestop going bankrupt so I stopped buying games elsewhere to help a bit. Now I don't give a f, close them all down. read more

Went to do trades to purchase something else. I check my trades and one game is missing so I ask the lady your missing one and seen her put to the side just because I didnt have a case. Went in tonight at around 5pm to do a system trade in and was immediately informed by Lynette store closed at 6. Immediately I felt rushed after this. Then when I got to the register i over heard Lynette making comments to employee who seemed to be training that should have been said in private. I come in here once a month or so just to browse if i am in the area. The staff are really friendly compared to other stores and some of them remember me. The selection is just like any other game stop. The reason i gave it 4 stars and not 5 is it is extremely small even for a gamestop. Not the employees fault though. read more

Let me tell you why I gave this place a one. First for lying about the pre order hours release date. You see I preordered street fighter v collectors edition which is out on feb 16 but they said I could pick it up on the 15th. Well today is the 15th I'm not playing it because their doors closed at 9:20 after they had told me 10 o'clock. I was in front of the door standing and nope they wouldn't even open it, I arrived at 9:27, I am left not playing street fighter and then ruining my day. Good service. GameStops are GameStops so I won't review their business here. However, the employees here are really nice. I almost always come in with my 4yr old son and the employees are always nice to him. In particular there is a guy named Aaron who does a great job. We are not usually big spenders either. We basically go in for the Transformer/Marvel mini-character packs (like $1.44 or something). But even though we aren't spending a lot they tell us about current deals (sometimes I take advantage of them) but not in a way that is wasting our time. I appreciate their service. read more

My family and I went to this particular gamestop location on today's date October 5th, 2014. We waited in the long line to ask an associate about the free Gengar event and if we could get a couple codes for the 3 of us. We were then asked by one of the employees if we had pre ordered the new pokemon games, to which we replied that we hadn't yet. The young woman with dark hair and glasses then refused to give us the code cards because we didn't pre order the game, then reluctantly slammed a single card on the counter. I asked her politely for 2 more cards and she replied in an unnecessary tone "one per customer" then like a child released a heavy sigh and reached into the box pulling out a single card. The Gengar event does not require any purchase and is a public promotion. Today was the final straw in a long history of unpleasant visits to this gamestop location. The staff is rude and uninformed. If the slightest sliver of good customer service is a strong selling point to you, I do not recommend this gamestop location. read more

WORST GAMESTOP IVE BEEN TO. One star. I call to see if any 3ds xl where in stock. I understand that 3ds xl's have been sold out since the holidays, but when you call to ensure they have one and have been told they have one pre owned in stock, you hurry to ensure you get it first. I arrive to gamestop after my 30 minute drive and wait in line for 20 minutes just to be told that the ds I just inquired over the phone is not available because it has not been processed through the system. Well how could I have been told it was available if it wasn't enter in there system. I was told they have a dsi for sale instead. I responded by saying I was told over the phone that a New 3ds XL was available. The employee I was helped by was not the one on the phone who said here was a ds available, instead when I told him he denied that they have any, just to have the employee I talked to on the phone over hear our conversation and say it was available. This left me in a situation I couldn't understand. One employee said yes and the other no. At the end of it all they didn't sell me the ds and left me, a long time customer, disappointed and confused. They need to fix this GameStop and ensure there employees are true and not saving products for themselves. I'm sure that ds was for sale and the employee who told me no wanted it for himself. At least that's what I took away from my experience at GameStop. Extremely disappointed and probably never going to shop at this location again. I feel like i should be compensated for my time and for the false information. Anyways all I can do is let others know that this GameStop needs to be revised and I will be calling corporate to make sure some action is accounted for. read more
