I've come in here to have copies made quite a few times only because it's close to home. And every time I've come in here the workers, including the manager seem so unhappy. I'm taking it they are understaffed and just trying to get through the day. Tried even asking the manager there a few questions and I felt like I was bothering him. Usually loyal to the almighty Walmart for back-to-school needs, but we've discovered that as kids age, their school supply lists become less crayons & gluesticks and more "NASA-approved graphing calculators and notebooks w paper so mature it pays taxes." Thankfully, Office Depot rose to the occasion like a nerdy superhero, providing every item on our list, no extra stops, no scavenger hunt, no tears (okay, maybe one). My husband and I went to print out a flyer a few months back and the self service printers weren't working. Didn't connect on our phones so an associate was super helpful and assisted in printing our flyer for us and only charge us for the flyers we needed after he tried his best with trying to talk us through the self service printers but it was a no go. It wouldn't connect. Because of that associate who was super helpful i sent my son to go there for his printing needs. He went to the self service and same issue happened to him. He couldn't connect and ask and associate for help. The associate recommended he go to the service desk to ask for help. So when he went to ask for help they print out the flyer he needed without informing him he's going to be charged for "full service" when he only wanted help with the self service. So instead of under a $1 sheet, they made him basically pay $5 bucks for that 1 sheet. read more

The printing department is so terrible. Serviced only 3 customers in a hours even more than 10 others are waiting. Just watched the employee pack a broad in the bag by more than 5 minutes. The manager said there were many customers but she couldn't push them to be faster. And also said "keep waiting or just leave." She also said "get out from MY store!" read more

Had a delightful experience at this location with miss Cindy. She was so accommodating and helpful with my transaction. Super friendly and outstanding employee! They had exactly what I was looking for, conveniently right next to the freeway to get what I need and head back on the road. Printing services also available which usually has a little bit of a wait time. There's a kiosk to check in for printing jobs and chairs to wait. I went to this Office Depot in Redlands as part of my errands this past weekend. I had several documents that needed to be printed. I only had cash on me so I needed a customer service rep to print and make copies off the flash drive I brought since the self-service printers only take credit cards. I'm not sure if he was the manager, but Jose notified me the girl who I was waiting for hadn't taken her lunch break the past hour, he was going to give her her break and allow me to self-print all my items, still being able to pay cash once the receipt was printed. I appreciated the fact he was trying to give his employee a break that should have been taken earlier. The reason why she didn't take her break prior is because she had been helping customers nonstop. Jose put some kind of an over ride to the printer I was using. Once I was finished with my prints, Eva, the cashier up front, was helpful in applying my 20% off discount while Jose brought a brown document paper bag to hold all of my prints This was great service to me. Not sure why I read some pretty bad reviews. I hope this one helps those trying to make up their minds in going here or not. I do recommend this place. Had 4 separate orders, only 2 were ready, just thought I'd come back later as I didn't want to bug the staff, as I was walking out Kass from the print & copy center asked if I needed more print outs, I stated yes & stated it would be nice if I could just pick my orders up all in one trip. Then as I got to my car, I realized I had forgotten one last order & Kass from the print & copy center called me & it was very generous of her to go out of her way. Thank you Kass!! This is true customer service. The reason for the 4 stars is because as I was waiting in line, I believe it was the manager on shift? I ordered a universal computer charger online from this location. It was delivered through Instacart. It said it would fit any HP, but that was not the case. I tried to return it through instacart, but they said it needed to be returned in person. I printed out the receipt and drove down there. They said they could not return it because I didn't have the receipt given at the store. I showed them the instacart receipt which clearly showed it was bought there. They refused to return it. I asked to speak to the manager. She said they were unable to return things purchased through Instacart. I asked Instacart to help me with the return. They came back after speaking with the manager stating the manager claimed she did return it and gave me my money back. That was not the case. The charger was $100, still in the box, purchased the day before. Office Depot refused to return it, was rude, and then lied about it. read more

We went in to print maybe 7 sheets of paper on card stock. We were told that the printer person was taking her break by the manager. Later found out she was covering the register. The manager seemed to only know how to dust because he could have went to the register. So we waited the 15 minutes but in reality more like 30. Came in and just wanted to print. No line, had to register and the self service printers were being hogged up for over 30 minutes. I finally get a chance to self print, told the tech I'll just do it this way. There was an error and my job was canceled every time I went to print. I was so frustrated and I had my son with me. This is a mixed tale of office supplies and food. "How so?" you ask. Just read on, and you will see. I don't usually review office supply store experiences, but I had an unusual one a couple of days ago that I think is worth recounting. I had lost (I hope "mislaid"!) my 2011 DayMinder, which tends to happen to me once a year, and decided that it was past time to try to reconstruct the remainder of 2011 before I started losing track of scheduled meetings, trips, and other important events. So, I went to Office Depot to buy a replacement pocket calendar for 2011 and 5 more reams of copy paper for my insatiable printer. I picked up the copy paper myself with ease, just noting that the price had risen once again; and then looked for a 2011 pocket calendar. Somewhat to my surprise, I only found one 2011 datebook that would fit in a coat pocket, which was not a DayMinder; and it was creased and bent. All others were 2012 models. So, I asked a sales associate if any 2011 DayMinders might be in the back. He willingly went to look, and came out with a 2011 DayMinder for the 2011/2012 academic year, which suited me fine, since the beginning half of 2011 is already gone. Then it struck me that I should buy a 2012 DayMinder, too, to be in the vanguard before they, too, run out. So, with copy paper and two datebooks in hand, I arrived at the cashier's desk to pay for my purchases. What then caught my eye was a flyer right in front of me that offered a FREE burrito, tacos, or salad at the Chipotle Mexican Grill across the street upon proof of purchase of Office Depot merchandise in an amount of $30 or more, redeemable that day only (August 20th) by 8:00 p.m. It was 4:00 p.m., I wasn't hungry, and I knew that ground beef in the refrigerator was set to expire if my wife and I did not cook something with it that night. But this bargain looked too good to pass up, and I wanted to see if there was some hidden catch to it. "I'll get a burrito and save it for lunch tomorrow!" I thought to myself. So, with coupon in hand, I drove 1 minute to Chipotle, walked in, presented the coupon and my Office Depot receipt for $51 and change, and said, "I'll have a burrito on this" while waving the flyer. Asked what kind of burrito I preferred, with skepticism I replied, "Shredded beef," thinking that this would cost extra. Instead the food preparer just smiled, and asked if I preferred black or pinto beans, and I said, "Pinto." "Salsa?" she asked, and I said, "Yes." Then she dipped into a bin containing one of my favorite edibles, and asked, "Guacamole?" Knowing that this would have to cost extra, I hesitated, and she continued on, "It costs extra." As she just about ladled some guacamole into my burrito, I asked, "How much?" and she answered, "$1.81." "Wow!" I thought, "How did they come up with that figure?" but quickly responded, "No thanks!" just in time for her to avert slathering some green gold inside my burrito. The burrito was then packaged in aluminum wrap, and passed up the conveyor belt to the cashier. "Nothing to drink?" the cashier asked me quizzically. "No thanks," I said. "I'll have it to go." My receipt was checked, the price was written up and zeroed out, and I escaped with my truly free burrito, which I enjoyed for lunch the next day. But I paid for it another way, gaining a pound the day after eating the huge but quite tasty item featuring an abundance of moist rice mixed with pinto beans, marinated shredded beef, and a fairly mild but noticeable red salsa. read more

Take a blood pressure pill before you go into this Office Depot. They typically have one cashier while about 3 or 4 customers wait in line (I've done it for 15 mins), meanwhile the other employees are staring at ink cartridges debating whether they should stock them or just stare at them some more &/or are busy talking to each other on their impressive in-ear Walkie Talkies. Here's an idea guys: always have at least 2 cashiers on duty - if there are no customers checking out stay close by anyway because they'll come. The only ONLY reason I go to this place, is because it's basically the only game in town. I miss you privately-owned-stationery/office-supply stores. read more

Office Depot is one of the best places to go for inexpensive school supplies just before the beginning of the school year. You can get notebooks for .10 (college and wide ruled), composition books for .50 and they have had penny deals in the past. As a teacher I often go there to get notebooks, composition books, pencils, rulers, glue/glue sticks, etc. Office Depot used to allow teachers to purchase more items than the general public at the sale price, but they changed their policy. I recently discovered that when you order online, the limit is more flexible and you can get a greater quantity of items. I also purchase my laser printer toner at Office Depot. Overall its a great place to go. read more

Worst customer service! I visit this particular Office Depot at least once a week to ship packages as it is convenient location wise, and almost every time I'm in there I have a bad experience. They just upgraded their shipping department so that customers have to sign in on a kiosk to wait in line and they text you estimated wait times. This last time it let me know I have a 8 min estimated wait time . After 20 min and another customer jumping ahead of me I was fed up and decided to ask if the wait time was accurate. The cashier at the front said "oh, it's very accurate". So I told her I've been waiting for over 20 mins at this point and she said " we'll it's estimated sorry." And dismissed me. I told her if it was accurate and let me know it would be closer to 15-20 mins I wouldn't have waited. She then repeated herself with an attitude. Another employee was walking by and asked if I was just shipping without having to print a label so I replied that yes I only was dropping it off. He took my package and said rudely, " you don't have to come here you can just go to the fedex across the street." And walked away. They obviously didn't want my service so I'll be going elsewhere for any office type needs. read more
