By far the worst thanksgiving meal i ever had. $45 and very low quality food. You know when you are serving that many people, the quality will suffer. We sat at like a picnic table outside. Easter Sunday spicial was Walnut Apple Salad consisting of Walnuts, Apples, Mixed Greens, and Blackened Chicken tossed in balsamic viniger and Topped with Blue Cheese. It came out 20 minutes later with very little salad, no walnuts, two slivers of apple and very little blue cheese. It took me 10 more minutes to get my waitress who offered to get me walnuts and apples. 7 minutes later she told my they were out of walnuts and apples and walked away. 7 more minutes to find a different waitress and asked her to send me the manager. 5 minutes later the manager offered me 15% off of my $17 dollar bill. My reply was at least $5 dollars off and he said "I'll see", walked of and never came back. I finished my meal because no remedy and I was starved. I have to admit, what little was there, was good. Finished my meal and asked again for the manager. A few more minutes went buy and he returned saying he gave me $5 dollars off, I showed him my full price bill. Waited again for him when he finally came back with the $5 dollar reduced bill. I tipped the waitress, paid my bill and left. A very unpleasant experience to say the least! My husband wanted to go golfing yesterday and we thought we'd make a family day out of it but unfortunately, children have to be 6 years old to ride along on the cart so we decided to just stop in for some lunch. My husband said the bloody Mary's are really good and I looked at the food ahead of time and liked what I saw. Our lunch did not disappoint. They do have a few options that can be Veganized but I decided to go with the ahi for my mea and my husband got the fish and chips. Both were regular priced lunches but they were worth it. The salad had a great dressing and the fries were really good too. I would highly recommend and we definitely plan to be back for fish Fry Friday or Sunday Brunch. The service was great and our overall experience was nice. We'll even have to come back for the live music now that I've finally been here; our neighbor's band plays here all the time. Once a month hangout to see live music in a safe, outdoor setting. Crowded Sat night. Had dinner and couple of drinks (Chicken Philly w green peppers, mushrooms & cheese) Sandwich was pretty unremarkable and mostly bread with a very small helping of ANYTHING. Band was HOT BRASS (EWF/Chicago tribute), Now these bands are not EZ to do. Had 10 musicians on stage, sound was pretty good but they were missing a lot of the vocal harmonies these 2 bands are famous for. It seemed like they were a group of "fill-ins" rather than a well rehearsed group, could be a lot better. read more

Disappointed in Service and overall Holiday dinner. We made dinner reservations for Christmas Eve 6:30 pm for 2. We arrived , the hostess who was new said your reservation is for 6 people right? I said no its for 2 people at 6:30. She apologized as it was her first night. We got seated, we were 1 of 3 tables that had customers that evening , the restaurant was empty. It was cold so noone was outdoors. . So now here is where the disappointment begins : as slow as it was we ordered drinks and a appetizer, our server delivered our drinks, the appetizer was delivered by someone that did NOT want to be there, it was apparent when he delivered the food and was not the least bit friendly. I even said well Happy Holidays to you and he just walked away... Now with only having 3 tables in the entire restaurant it was surprising that the appetizer arrived cold. We had to ask for plates from another server because our server could not be found. needless to say the Holiday mood was quickly disappearing and we decided to get our check, pay our bill, and take our money to a restaurant that wanted us as a customer. This is my first really negative experience with Galuppis, we are repeat customers, usually reserving tables for band night celebrating birthdays and anniversaries and or friends night out, booking tables for 10-25 people outdoors. This really soured us as customers. We did say something to our server and it apparently fell on deaf ears. I have called 2 times requesting to speak with a manager and hung up after being put on hold for 8 and 9 min. We went to see an Eagles Tribute Band play Saturday night & it was a very uncomfortable situation. I've been here many times & have never before experienced these things. I was reprimanded by "security" for taking a 20 second video of the band while standing in a walkway because I was blocking the view of tables behind me that were at least 6 feet away. Then our friend was reprimanded by "security" for putting her drink that she purchased there into an insulated cup & she did ask the waitress for permission prior to doing it. Mind you it was 87 degrees out with no breeze or fans. Then the best I saved for last, We were all reprimanded by "security" for DANCING! I doubt we'll ever return since there are so many other places with music in Broward County that treat their customers with dignity. read more

I can't say enough wonderful things about Galuppis! We took our 13 year old here for his birthday and to listen to an 80s tribute band (his fav). Our server, Herman, went above and beyond to make our bday boys night extra special! Offering group photo shots, bringing out a bday necklace, surprising us with a special bday dessert, having the band wish him a happy bday and providing the best service we've ever had. None of those things were requested by us, he just truly cared about having a great time. The food was also excellent (get the prime rib sandwich)!! Even when coordinating our dinner reservation, the manager Peter happily accommodated my request to make the evening spectacular. I attended a baby shower here over the weekend that was absolutely perfect thanks to Galuppis! Ive been here many times over the years I have even eaten thanksgiving dinner here once. Spacious location off US1 just north of atlantic boulevard in pompano, Galuppis is located within a public golf course. There is a huge circular outdoor bar with plenty of tables as well as bar seating, HUGE banquet rooms and an indoor dining area in the inside bar area to fit whatever mood you are in. I spoke to the manager who was a sweet guy who was very helpful and he told me that Galuppis still had take out food and made an outside bar near the parking lot to serve locals that love Galuppis! Social distancing was provided in the banquet room the baby shower placing tables far a part and enforcing mask wearing when you were up from your table either going to the buffet or socializing or taking photos. There was a great server from pittsburg pa that was great to talk to because I have family from PA. Normally when not in a pandemic Galuppis hosts cover bands on weekends that really used to pack the patrons in. I hear they are bringing back the bands which would be great. Galuppis always hosts events like a mothers day brunch or thanksgiving meals on thanksgiving which is fantastic if you dont feel like cooking those days, The mothers day brunch was delicious the last time I had it which was in 2012 when my mom was still alive. My family eats here almost every Thanksgiving. This is the first year, we had lots of issues. I am being generous with 3 stars because of previous years' better performance. One constant issue is the tables are tightly packed to accommodate the maximum number of guests, which makes it difficult to navigate from the table to the buffet and back. The tables were less scrunched this year, but there were still too many. My dad, on the end, constantly got bumped by other guests walking past due to the narrow aisles. However, this was minor compared to the incorrect ingredient issues. Two issues were major; these included being given incorrect ingredient information (religious and food intolerance issue) on the macaroni and cheese (contained pork) and having the unsweetened ice tea, no lemon being delivered with lemon wedge on the rim 3 times. Yes, you read that right - 3 times incorrect in one meal! I asked in the buffet line if the mac & cheese had ham or any pork. The chef at the carving station asked a person in a chef hat who said no. I reasked the same gentleman if he was sure because of a food issue and was assured there was no pig product in it. Luckily, my dad discovered the ham in it before anyone with an issue ate it. The waitress apologized and offered to make the mac & cheese special without the ham, which was nice but not necessary. There were plenty of other dishes. The waitress assured me the manager would advise all the staff at the buffet that the mac & cheese had pork so another guest would not have the same problem. On my second trip to the buffet, I stopped to speak to the chef at the carving station whom I originally asked and who had passed on my original question. No one had told him that the information we received was incorrect. The manager had never followed-up as promised! We also had issues with handicap accommodations. The host out front kept trying to send our party (that had four handicapped guests with walking and stability issues) all the way around the building to the holiday entrance in back. Having been through this before at holidays, I knew handicapped is allowed to use the front entrance. Unfortunately, no one told the front staff this year. The tables are so tightly packed at Thanksgiving inside that my mother's walker and wheelchair are not useable inside so she was having to manage with a cane and my arm. No way she could walk around back. We also had four other issues this year. The staff picked up the utensils with the dirty dishes and did not bring new ones; there were no additional utensils on the buffet either. This happened at two different times when clearing dishes; no learning took place from the first mistake. The chocolate brownies had no tongs to serve; the first person I asked told me to use my fingers. At my horrified expression, someone else volunteered to fetch tongs. We found several plates with food stuck on them stacked in the pile of clean dishes for buffet guests to use. Finally, getting the bill took a long time even after I finally requested it. The buffet has a good selection of items. The carving station includes turkey, ham, and roast beef. They also offer seared tuna. Sides include mac and cheese, sweet potato casserole, red smashed potatoes, green bean casserole, vegetable medley, broccoli and cheese casserole, stuffing, and rolls. They offer a few salads; the Caesar was drowned in dressing. Desserts include pumpkin pie, pecan pie, apple pie, brownies, and fruit. There is also cream for the pie. If this was my first time, I would not go back. As it is, I will give them another chance because this is the first time we've had such a holiday dining disaster here. read more

Part of the response from Katherine Steinbeck the event coordinator- "We had an unexpected inspection that forced us to close a few hours early Thursday July 21st, at approximately 7:30 pm, before a reinspection which we passed with zero comments from the Department of Health on Friday morning. The inspection happened in the middle of a very busy lunch, as a result our cooler doors had been opened for much longer periods of time. Our giant sliding door opening the inside to our patio bar had been left open allowing flies to come in. Food which had been marked for the trash had not yet disposed of. That same employee, tasked with discarding the food was not wearing gloves when he did." They refused to return my deposit and instead offered it back in the form of a $250 gift card and sent me an email full of excuses. If you take a minute to read the findings you'll see that this isn't just a "oops you caught us on a bad day" sort of thing. Terrible way to handle a customer. A fairly tacky, low-class place. Served me a lamb chop appetizer that arrived un-cooked. Not rare, it literally was not cooked. Pretty dangerous to serve food like that. My toddler nieces seemed to enjoy the atmosphere, but for any adult trying to eat a quality meal, I mean let's just say this is the 'budget option'. This place has very good entertainment music, but they have become very GREEDY! No dance floor and their table setting is HORRIBLE. They used to have a small tiny area in front of the stage to dance or to stand up to enjoy their live music, well, they filled the little tiny area with more tables. On top of that they charged $25.00 just to reserved a table which is fine, I understand that's their policy. They are in business to make money, not to satisfy customers. We are early happy hour people and we wait for the bands to start exactly at 7:00 p.m. For some reason, the bands have been starting way after 7:30 p.m. The walk on the stage, walk off, do sound checks. My friends come here regularly so when I had the opportunity to join them to hear Mr Nice Guy, I expected it to be a great evening. The time with my friends was great but I was disappointed with the venue. We had a reservation which included 2 appetizers for every 4 people. I was the first to arrive from the group and knowing we were on the patio, I proceeded out there to look for a hostess. After several minutes, I spotted a friend (not with our group this evening). He told me I had to go inside to find a hostess but the tables are marked with the names and I should seat myself. After a few more minutes wandering, I found the table and took a seat. A few minutes later Nick appeared checking to see if I wanted to order. I selected the Absolut Raspberry Mule (with light ice). It arrived quickly but I noticed there was a lot of ice. I took the first sip expecting the ginger fruity taste I so love but was very disappointed. It was very watery and only got worse as the ice melted in the outside heat. The place was very crowded when I arrived and I had to park at the outer reached of the lot. A couple of times, people (I assume without reservations) took seats at our table for 8 and one didn't want to leave. Ugh! After everyone arrived we selected our appetizers and place the order and started to wait.... after an hour, the server appeared to say the kitchen was backed-up. I think it was an hour and 20 minutes by the time the food arrived (it felt like forever). The wings were ordered with sauce on the side but it wasn't there at all. By the time the sauce arrived we had eaten the full order of "naked fried" wings. The spinach dip was more creamy than spinach and the quesadilla looked good. For the pricing, this was not a deal I recommend. The pluses were great fiends, a good band but the service, food and drinks left me questioning my return. read more

The drinks were okay but the server didn't have alot of knowledge about the menu and the drinks weren't made properly when we complained I was told I was wrong I know how my drink taste. If you, or someone you know, is undergoing chemo you know how important it is getting them to eat. When the to go package came to the bar it was not wrapped as requested. The bar tender wrapped the package when I asked and the fries were hot 10 minutes when I got home. Unfortunately, my specific request of "no cheese" was ignored by the kitchen. Called the manager, who apologized and offered to remake the burger, but they need to get their systems to work and employees to implement and follow orders correctly. I like this place for a beer after a round of golf (both courses are in horrendous condition btw but unrelated to the restaurant) or for an evening meal outside on the patio. The current tribute band schedule is awesome with talent like Wildfire rocking out The Who and The Long Run stellar Eagle's sets. I give the food four stars. I definitely enjoy the full rack of ribs special for $11.99 on Monday nights which is $19.95 on other nights. This visit I got the prime rib French dip $13.00 served with fries. This was an awesome sandwich. The meat was juicy and tender and the roll was slightly toasted and fresh and soaked up the yummy au jus that comes with it. The fries are simply that...French fries. A unique feature I really like is the push button device at your table that buzzes a device on your servers wrist. If we needed something we just push the button and BOOM our server came promptly. There are a couple of small downsides for me. One is the ceiling fans are cranked up and if you are sat near them it's pretty windy and can be cold depending on the outside temp. The other is in the outside area smoking is permitted but on this night it wasn't so crowded it was noticeable. All in all, good food, cool location and a line up of awesome bands. read more

So if you go there, you are actually going to what is basically the clubhouse of a golf course, however, open to the public. It has a very nice outside patio bar that serves rather a delightful pleasant lunch, an attached inside sports bar, generally full of drinking golfers escaping the Florida heat, a few eating, lots of flat screens all tuned to different competing, confusing television channels and the patrons engaging in a lot of amateurish sounding, rather embellished sports talk. There are also a dinning facilities often used for group function dinners, usually serving what I might best term as rather substandard cafeteria quality food with a wait staff of seemingly limit experience as well as limited enthusiasm. read more

I've been here many times but not on A Sunday afternoon for about a year. The service was usually been hit or miss. but the food was decent The musician was replaced with a DJ which was disappointing. I sat at a hightop near the outside bar to wait for my friend at 1:08 PM. I received no service in 10 minutes.! At 1:18 my friend arrived. I'd sold him on the place for the live music but we went inside because I couldn't get waited on outside. The indoor bartender waited on us promptly and was pleasant . Although he told my friend that he could have asparagus when they were out, no big deal. I ordered avocado toast. I've had it in other places and have made it myself. It came with slices of avocado on a piece of bread with some salad. We had no silverware and there was no salad dressing. I told the back waiter who supplied n=both. I told the bartender that the avocados are mashed with olive oil, lemon, s$p etc. on this dish. He gave me a blank look. The point being: the cook should learn how to make it. When we wanted to pay our bill, the bartender had disappeared. I accidentally spilled some water and didn't have enough napkins to clean all of it. It took over 3 minutes to get someone's assistance.
