    Ahi tuna tacos, truffle fries
    Nina C.

Came to the Deerfield Beach pier with my mom for a nice afternoon and one of the other beachgoers recommended we stop and have a bite here at the break house. So glad we did! We didn't have as much time as we'd like so they're format of placing your order and paying at the counter, then bringing a number back to a table and they drop off your food worked perfectly for today. They also have a coffee bar inside. The girls working we're very nice and gave me some of their recommendations, they mentioned that the ahi tuna was very fresh and I decided to take their word for it and try the tacos We also got some truffle fries! We got a table outside with no issue although it was a Tuesday afternoon around 3 PM so it would probably be much busier on a weekend. We had the most beautiful view of the water.. The tacos were extremely unique, they had a spicy peanut topping, guacamole inside, a ginger forward, taste and delicious Good quality fish. My mom is a picky eater so I enjoyed these on my own, but we also loved the fries. Prices are reasonable, given the fact that you're right on the beach, I think it was $14 for two ahi tuna tacos, usually a more expensive fish option. It was such a relaxing lunch in the shade with the breeze and the waves crashing. I can't wait to come back.

Came here after a surf session at the beach, they had kiosks that you could use to order which made the long line go by quickly. A waitress drops off your food and that's the last you see of them. They have a utensil station and a water station, though it was broken while I was there. I did think the prices were high for the portions given and the food was mediocre at best (it does look pretty though!) There also isn't much seating available, but that's no problem if you take it to go. Overall, it felt like a place a tourist would go or if you are really hungry and want to shell out the cash. The building was nice and modern though, but I think I will pass for next time.

I'm pretty sure this place seduced me with the view and then dared the kitchen to keep up. The Break House in Deerfield Beach is the kind of spot that makes you pause mid-sentence when you walk in. The rooftop hits you right away. Ocean, pier, breeze, the whole postcard. It's not just nice, it's "why don't I live here?" nice. You grab a seat, take it in, and immediately start rooting for the rest of the experience to match. And to be fair, some of it absolutely does. We sat at the bar, and our bartender was a pro. Friendly, sharp, never hovering but always right there when needed. The kind of service that quietly carries the whole night without asking for credit. Now... the food. This is where things get a little complicated. The menu talks a big game. Creative, interesting, a little bold. We started with the beet hummus, which sounded like a great decision at the time. What showed up felt like it forgot what it wanted to be. A few nice pops of beet flavor, but mostly overpowered by the chips. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't anything you'd come back for. The fish dip was better. More flavor, more direction, but still a little uneven. Some bites hit, others kind of drifted. Then the chicken banh mi showed up looking like it lost a fight on the way to the table. Completely sloppy. Falling apart. Zero chance of eating it clean. And somehow... easily the best thing we had. Messy food that delivers is always forgiven. Pretty food that doesn't is not. That sandwich understood the assignment. So here's the dilemma I kept coming back to all night. The view says five stars. The food says we're not there yet. And that's what makes this place so frustrating and so promising at the same time. Everything around the food is dialed in. The atmosphere, the setup, the service, it's all working. You want the kitchen to catch up because if it does, this isn't just a good spot, it's a go-to. I'm at four stars. Not a soft four, not a harsh four, just an honest one. Because right now, The Break House is a great night out with a couple missed opportunities on the plate. Fix that, and this place isn't just in the conversation... it's leading it.

The Break House is a water front view restaurant that also has a roof top (second floor) that over looks the beach. It has a pier nearby where you can fish or just sight see and walk down the pier. This restaurant has big enough menu that offers a wide variety of foods for breakfast lunch and dinner. The food we ordered today was salmon bowl, butter chicken bowl, 2 coffees, and pomegranate Margherita. The flavors were 3 out of 5 stars. But, it's the view, the location, and DJ playing live music that made the experience 5/5 stars for me today. Be prepared for a pleasant surprise. Even though it was packed maybe due to spring break, the restaurant efficiently pushed out the food to accommodate everyone. We didn't wait long at long. The drinks were okay, little on the strong side. They also have bathrooms that are surprisingly well maintained and clean. The parking situation here was crazy. We paid $30 for 0-4 hours parking but we even thought that to be lucky because there were just that many cars out on the road today. After our meal, we walked down the pier and around the beach. Everyone seemed to be enjoying the weather and the beach activities. If you live in Florida and have not yet been to this spot, please make plans to go soon because it will be worth your while. Bring plenty of water, sunscreen, and change of clothes! Let me know what you thought of The Break House restaurant. Yes I would recommend this experience to others. Yes I will be back for sure!

The break house is that perfect spot to grab a bite or drink while spending time at the beach. Such a beautiful place, the decor is very aesthetic with all the coastal vibes. I ordered a coconut currant latte and loved its perfect balance of coconut in a drink. The staff were very helpful and sweet making me feel very welcomed. Im also a fan of tile work and i couldn't stop staring at the beautiful tile work that said the beach house. Definitely a go to when you visit. The view from the break house is amazing, it's the perfect view of the beach and the pier. Will definitely be coming back to visit

Great location. Sat downstairs at the bar. Not fond of the only option to order on screen or at the bar. I feel like there should be at least 1 server at night. The food was good. Very overpriced. Smashburger was $18.99 with no sides. Luckily the bartender was fantastic and the drinks were good! We took a walk to the upstairs bar and it was packed. Beautiful view. Might come back, only during happy hour. Too expensive!

Such a cute place to have a date, meeting, and friend gathering. Ocean views and low music. There's bar seating, couches and high tops. Very friendly and attentive service. They serve brunch, lunch and dinner. The Cuban sandwich was my favorite.

The Break House has a wonderful open-air second floor bar/restaurant. The views of the beach and ocean are spectacular. We had great service from two bartenders. The food was delicious and we enjoyed tropical cocktails. I highly recommend The Break House.

FYI the roof top opens at noon and it fills up quickly so we recommend you get there as close to noon as possible like we did in order to secure a spot on the rooftop. The view is amazing and definitely worth it. Food was absolutely delicious. The salmon sandwich was great although not as big and doesn't come with fries. The salmon heat bowl was pretty big in comparison. If you want to try a local beer I recommend the tan man amber, it's great!

Just me ..... enjoying a glass of Blanc de Blancs

Stunning views. Great service. Reasonable pricing. The pours are hefty which thrills me beyond measure We enjoyed a bottle of Blanc de Blanc Prosecco at the rooftop bar then switched to red wine. We ordered a few bites ..... the Beet + Ricotta Hummus ... served with yummy thick cut tortilla chips (tasted and looked like they made these in house) and the Chinese Chicken Salad oh my word just delicious... I'm a picky salad person and could have devoured the entire bowl!! I will definitely be back !!!

Amazing amazing day two of the restaurant being open- a restaurant I have been eyeing since June 5th of this year- as I came home from LV, back at my favorite stomping ground Oceans234 and saw their sister restaurant being built... Now?! Five months later - boy am I super excited to announce this amazing get a way- replacing a long standing restaurant that quite frankly- needed the new blood- Here at the Break House- we get just that- a roof top bar which in the future will have a different menu and down stairs- the closest place one can get to the pier- you have this incredible little gem- one of the ONLY places in South Florida where literally- the sand is not even 100ft from where I am sitting... The breakfast is beyond delicious- I got the Burrito on a Break and did a minor alteration- making it corn tortillas which are GF then the flour tortillas ... Casey the bartender is as cute as can be- such a huge smile at 9a (they open at 7a) and Pete the Manager is bar none... This place was set up for success and I am happpppppy- more than elated- that this place is living up to the hype and I ONLY wish this team much success, abundance, and joy!!!! 100%Jordsified. #ThatsMyByte!

Had wanted to go here since it opened and it did not disappoint. Normally beachfront spots are a hit or miss and rely heavily on prime ocean views but Break House delivered on food too! We parked by the beach and walked over to the beachfront spot right in front of the pier. When we walked inside, the space was small but luckily it wasn't too busy - busy by Monday standards around breakfast time. When we were ready to order, we were greeted by a large kiosk instead of a person. The large screen offered pictures of every breakfast/lunch dish (which was great because we really knew what we were getting). We ordered the tomato basil frittata (would order again!). It was delish and was dressed up with a yummy basil sauce. And we shared a large waffle garnished with a whipped topping and berries. We also ordered the coconut iced latte, not too sweet so it was just the way I like it! The prices were a bit high (just like every beach spot) but worth it! There's some indoor seating, but we opted for the outdoor patio overlooking the pier and beach since it was a nice day out. Once we ordered, we grabbed a number and sat outside and the waiter brought us over everything! It's a great addition to the Deerfield beachfront!

Everything!!!, Zelda the bartender brought all the vibes. Drinks were consistently great no matter which bartender made them. Open air, quality food menu. Highly recommend recommended!!

If you plan to have a large group of people attending a event here, there will not be enough parking spaces in front of the building. Your guests may have to park out in the back and walk around the building to get in.

The sign saying don't carve the bamboo next to a carved stalk was ironic... In addition to the various plant gardens, there were the rock gardens, the waterfalls, and the pine forest. Liked seeing the koi fish and turtles. Another highlight was the bonsai exhibit. Throughout the winding path, there were stone lanterns and small wooden huts. When we initially met with the caterer 7 months before our wedding, we had told them that we estimated 130 guests, but it would probably be less. They told us that wouldn't be an issue and to let them know a month out a final guest count. However, a month out from our wedding, they were trying to charge us for a full 130 when we had told them that our guest count was 105 (including the bride & groom). Our wedding planner was able to convince them to charge us for only 115 people, so we ended up inviting another 4 guests since we were paying for the food. So we had 109 guests and were paying for 115. We couldn't believe it and were completely disappointed to later find out that some of the food ran out, specifically the mahi mahi entree, when we had paid for 6 more people than we ended up having in attendance. Those who did not get to eat mahi were given more of the appetizers to compensate. Per our contract we had understood that we paid for more than the amount of actual guests and we can't understand why a main entree had run out before two full tables had been served. The caterer was not only late to the venue for initial set up, but was also very late to serve the food, after it had been blessed and a thank you speech from the father of the bride, to let our guests eat. This lead to many of our guests questioning both my wife and myself when we would actually have dinner. The food was good, but due to the service, we would not recommend this company for your catering needs ever.
