I would give this vet, Dr. Fuldner ZERO stars if I could. She acts and talks like she knows about dental, but she doesn't. Here are two short stories about two cats we brought to her in February 2025. #1 Cat: Deigo. He has stomatitis. She said she believes only removing some teeth is okay, and that is what she learned in vet school. After the dental surgery where she removed some teeth, he was okay for about two weeks and then started having some pain. After pumping down several different antibiotics and steroids, she said it would just have to be his new "normal" as his inflammation would never go away. I went to a specialty clinic for animal dentistry, and they said that not only should ALL of his teeth have been removed but also confirmed that she did not remove the roots from the teeth that she had removed. After questioning this, she did not have any explanation other than sending and email and certified mail letter stating that our pets are not longer patients of her clinic. LOL - As if I would have ever gone back there, even if she would have treated them for free. Cat #2: Gizmo. He underwent dental surgery on the same day as Diego. I feel SO bad that I ever took him there. He had some drooling but was otherwise okay, and I just wanted to make sure that he also did not have dental problems. She said that he definitely had dental problems and pain. So, I believe her and had some of his teeth removed. After that, my otherwise healthy cat rapidly went downhill, infection on the sites where teeth were removed, sutures were coming out, she gave strong antibiotics. He started having diarrhea and acting lethargic and did not want to eat anymore. I took him back with concerns and said that something else must be going on and conducted an $800 ultrasound. She said that they could only find GI issues and pumped down 3 more strong medications down into his systems. Gizmo started getting worse. So, there was another blood test, and that showed that he might be having kidney issues. Then we started pumping down more medication. There was still no improvement, and Gizmo started getting skinnier day by day. We requested x-ray from the dental procedure and found out after posting on a Vet page that he also had a pathological jaw fracture that she never mentioned or documented in his records. After not trusting her anymore, we went to a different vet who did an X-ray and found out that Gizmo's spleen had fluid surrounding it and it was causing him heart failure. Gizmo's condition was so bad that his body filled up with fluid and he died a painful death a few weeks later. DO NOT GO TO GALLOWAY VET. I know that she will have a big talking response to this, but I also do, if I need to post more, including communication between her. Also, sidenote - they write irrelevant things in their notes about the owners of pets, including if they bring in two cats during one appointment. Which yes, we did because of the check-up - but we did pay for both appointments. Also, another weird note states that we spent 1 hour in an exam room, but it fails to mention that we waited in there for 30 minutes before she ever even came in. PAY ATTENTION TO THE SIGN AT THE CHECKOUT, that says "Aggressive Behavior Will Not Be Tolerated". It basically means, if we kill your animal, do not complain about it. read more

There is a revolving door of vets so your animal will never see the same person. This causes enormous communication issues and is detrimental to your pet's health. It took them to 6 months to diagnose my dog with an ulnar lesion. During this time, I was charges for almost $750 along with a $100 orthopedic surgeon referral visit. These people don't care about your pet. They treat the symptoms and take your money. read more

After moving to Springfield three years ago, I was recommended to Galloway Village Veterinary. Best decision I made for my dog (and me!) They offer full service vet care plus boarding. My dog had a situation where he was attacked by a larger dog and the vets immediately took my dog in and assessed the injuries. They are kind and caring, to say the least. Excellent care for my Doberman puppy. He was neutered at the end of March 2017. He received wonderful care. Unfortunately he developed some complications (which can happen because his original surgery was not straightforward). The staff at Galloway called to check in on him post-op. He needed a readmission, but would go for daily boarding and treatment. Every day I would receive updates during the day from one of the techs or doctors. His doctor was available via email at all times. Although he did see different vets, all of them made contact with me at some point to discuss his care and all knew his history. It most certainly is NOT a revolving door of vets. All of the staff and doctors treated me with respect and empathy during this stressful time. My puppy ended up needing a second surgery, but this was only after conservative therapy was unsuccessful. It was a necessary surgery and he did great after. Galloway is fantastic. I would highly recommend for any canine care (as this is my only experience) although I witnessed the respect they have for many animals that came through the waiting room. I am grateful for their personal care for my puppy dog. I cannot stress enough how positive our experiences have been every time, whether it was this last time or regular check-ups. I love this place. The staff is always extremely friendly and they always remember our pets and even call to follow up with us to make they are doing ok. Any time we have a question about our pet they are always willing to assist. They ate also very flexible in working us in for appointments even at the last minute. I highly recommend them. read more

The "turnover" in vets was due to the pregnancy of the clinic's owner, Dr. Rudd. She has since returned to her work at the clinic. Granted, neither Dr. Rudd nor Dr. Cook is a match for the late Dr. Hamaker and his then-partner, Dr. Ramsey, in the charisma department. But they are both very skilled and very caring veterinarians, which is why I have stuck with Galloway and will continue to do so. read more

The second you step in GVV's doors you feel welcomed. They truly care about your pets and care about your opinions. While they are not the cheapest place in town they are the best (they even have a Springfield's Best sticker on their doors- a high honor!) EASY 5 STARS for this vet practice!!! Outstanding care and personal attention from both Dr. Rudd and Dr. Cook along with their entire staff hands down, make this the BEST place in town! The vets are very gentle and sweet and make my dogs feel at ease. Blue, Bailey, and Braxton all leap out of the car when we arrive just to get into their beautiful hospital (AND get completely spoiled with hugs/kisses/treats). I admire their willingness to go above and beyond, no matter the time,/day, to answer any questions/concerns. They have excellent customer service and their love for our pets make me feel at ease knowing that our best furry friends are in the best care possible. I also highly respect the fact that they give back to the community by supporting local animal related organizations and even great youth organizations like Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Ozarks.
