We landed with Pawfection Pet Salon. The business is very welcoming. I love that it's open, you can see the employees and the pets. Right off the bat I felt a trust with the business that they were not hiding behind a wall. Everyone was so nice. I explained that we we're new in town and that we were nervous about leaving our dogs with a new groomer, but they walked us through the process and were again very open. Ive been here twice now and will continue to come back. They keep me informed, they call with any questions, and honestly i love the communication, it shows they care. I never received a call so I came back 5 hours after my appointment was scheduled (I dropped him off 10 minutes early) and he wasn't done. She left most of him too long, but forgot to switch blades and left a bald spot on his tail. Also, he wasn't thoroughly bathed and whatever was put on his coat afterwards left it greasy and attracted a ton of dirt. He had to have another bath less than a week later. All of that said, I think he was treated incredibly well while she worked on him. He was his normal happy go lucky self when I picked him up. The groomer was extremely nice and I can only assume she was just booked a bit heavy that day, resulting in a subpar groom.

I went away for the weekend and had my wife take my dogs to Pampered Paws for their normal grooming (my wife normally does not take the dogs to the groomer and she doesnt know my expectations). Upon my return home, my dog Jo Jo had a very ugly mullet cut. The staff at Pampered Paws have asked multiple times in the past if they can do a mullet on my dog in which I have told them no. So on the weekend that I do not oversee their grooming, they send my dog home with a mullet. I am very unpleased they did this instead of providing the normal cut I get him. I have a very sour taste in my mouth knowing that they have gone against my known preferences when I pay to have my dogs groomed a certain way. Further, I now have to waste gasoline in an expensive economy to drive to the North side of Springfield (I live on the far south side of Springfield) to get his haircut fixed.

I wanted to express my sincere appreciation for Dr. Jane Flathers and Angel Animal Hospital. I have…read moreused other veterinarians in Springfield but Dr. Flathers stands out as the best. I had two dogs before this dog whom I took to other veterinarians. The contrast between previous veterinarians and Dr. Flathers was pronounced. The last veterinarian did not appear to be as thorough in her examinations, her equipment malfunctioned on our last two visits and she seemed to be unable to confidently diagnose my dog's health issue. Every time I have seen Dr. Flathers I have been very impressed with her knowledge and diagnosis of my pet's problems. I would highly recommend Dr. Flathers and Angel Animal Hospital. I appreciate Dr. Flathers' superior knowledge, abilities and genuine concern for the pets she treats and their owners.

She does a good job with my cats but the fees are ludicrous. $90 to schedule an appointment. If you cancel within 24 hrs that fee is non-refundable. My own doctor doesn't charge that much. They charged me $15.22 to use my credit card. Said that it takes extra steps to use that card. This is after I asked, the day we were there, if that was a fee from the business or my CC company. The receptionist told me she didn't know but thought it was the CC company. Well I called my CC Co., and, NOT!!! My bill was $392 for about 45 min and a little inflammation in my cat. Well they just lost my business and my 2 cats as patients. Also I was told someone would be calling to check on, how my cat was doing. Two days later and nobody has called. This morning when I was inquiring about the fees, nobody even asked how he was doing.
