I am a regular customer here and normally they do a…read moregreat job...however...I have expressed to them three different times now that I do NOT want my dog to have his long hair cut into a mullet. I went away for the weekend and had my wife take my dogs to Pampered Paws for their normal grooming (my wife normally does not take the dogs to the groomer and she doesnt know my expectations). Upon my return home, my dog Jo Jo had a very ugly mullet cut. The staff at Pampered Paws have asked multiple times in the past if they can do a mullet on my dog in which I have told them no. So on the weekend that I do not oversee their grooming, they send my dog home with a mullet. I am very unpleased they did this instead of providing the normal cut I get him. I have a very sour taste in my mouth knowing that they have gone against my known preferences when I pay to have my dogs groomed a certain way. Further, I now have to waste gasoline in an expensive economy to drive to the North side of Springfield (I live on the far south side of Springfield) to get his haircut fixed.

My larger shih tzu had a bad experience once at a different shop when a groomer sheared his neck too close and he's always been a little timid because of it, and he was so calm and happy leaving Pampered Paws, so I know they treated him well. They still smell fantastic and they look so so cute. She did a great job on their paws and nail trim also. Took about 2.5 hours until I was able to pick them up from a morning appointment. WILL be going back for the future!

I caught them trying to scam me into TWO $2,500 procedures for my cat…read more I decided to get a second opinion on the "large bladder stones" they found in my cat and the second vet not only was going to charge a fraction of the cost for the procedure, they couldn't find ANY stones. Followed up in six months and still couldn't find any stones. The second procedure was teeth cleaning, claiming he had infected teeth. The other vet agreed teeth weren't great, but definitely no infection and could wait. And even worse, they told me my other cat most likely had cancer and since I couldn't afford to go through cancer treatments for an 18 yo old cat, there wasn't anything else I could do. Meanwhile, my cat is getting sicker and sicker, but I felt my job was just to make her comfortable until the end. On another visit with the same cat, they acted like they'd never said that and claimed a different diagnosis!!! I decided then to get a second opinion, but it was too late. She was too far gone and passed away.

But All About Pets came through and he went to daycare every day at Rhonda's..even with our insane hours for training...Rhonda took it in stride. And at an extremely reasonable rate! We ended up paying her more than she asked for because we felt her services were so valuable and we were so grateful. Most importantly our little buddy loved it. He ran to the door every morning, excited to see his new friends. She also sent photos throughout the day which we loved. My vet wasn't available. The vet there is so kind and knowledgeable. They are very well priced. I used her once when I was younger, my puppy was poisoned by a neighbor and they did everything they could to help her. They even sent me home with some donated medicine, to help with my limited college budget. I lost my puppy. I didn't call and tell them, they found out someway and sent me a card. It really helped with my grieving and showed me that they do care. I highly recommend them.
