I ordered a chicken Marsala to go and it was listed as $25 on the menu and the spaghetti came with the meal and they charged me $3 dollars extra for the Marsala sauce that comes with the dish, I ordered marsala and Marsala comes with Marsala sauce right??!!! I didn't order additional red or any other sauce and I didn't order anything else. The spaghetti was dry. Had no sauce on it at all very disappointed. I went up back up to The Galleria & spoke about the the $3 dollar extra up charge on a meal which is ridiculous (it's never happened to me in any restaurant). I've never had been charged $3 dollars for the sauce that they're using to put on your dish. They didn't even notify me that they were going to charge me extra $3 till after I paid the bill. Deceptive 100%. I'd never gotten notified. I just paid for it and then realized after I got the receipt that something was very wrong . It also did not taste like Chicken Marsala but tasted like Hungarian goulash close to what my mom made years ago. I didn't order red sauce. It's a rip off and I called him on it and he gave me back my $3 dollars. Be careful because they're probably doing this to a lot of people if you order chicken marsala or anything with red sauce and there's marsala sauce in it that should not be an up charge so very disappointed and I'm not really sure if I'm gonna go back there anymore and order food. So for that meal was $29.33 with nothing extra on takeout, Unbelievable!! They probably are charging extra for red sauce. If you ask for red sauce, which should come with the dish, Also if you order pizza Sicilian or regular the pizza has been burnt crust and bottom if you like it that way then you are good, if not ask for it less well done. As for as the upchsrhe for sauce which is what you ordered your dish for, I've never had a restaurant do that and that's gonna be in the back of my mind from now on I won't go there. read more

I was visiting from another state to see family and was very excited to try this place as I saw a You Tube video from Devour who raved and raved about this place. I was blown away by the food here. I had the philly cheesesteak pinwheel, a slice of Pesto/Pepperoni with vodka sauce and the Vodka slider. Every single one of them was fantastic. I had a perma grin on my face the entire time I was eating. The quality of the food was amazing. The Vodka slider was possibly one of the best things I have ever eaten in my old age. The slice was the best pizza I have ever had. The flavors were on point. The pinwheel which I had never ever had one before, could easily rival any cheesesteak from Philly. I will be flying back into NY just to eat at this place. I am one of the pickiest eaters and this place was on another level. Highly recommend!!! read more

The Pizza is always fresh and Always on point! the food is also a must try like the chicken parm dinner is my go to and it's always perfect every time. The reason why its not 5 stars is because imo They do need to work on customer service and try not to make the customer feel rushed when they are ordering slices. Food was tasty. However, this place would work better as take out only, as their staff is not properly trained on restaurant etiquette. First of all, the cutlery placed on the table was partially wet, not wrapped in napkins and placed directly on the dirty menus. We requested a cup of hot water to sanitize the cutlery. We had to ask about the water 4 times before it arrived. It arrived after the main dishes were served. We also heard the table next to us requesting cutlery after their food was served. We ordered 2 appetizers and the main courses came out first. We were half way through our main dishes when the first appetizer came. We finished our main dishes and the second appetizer never arrived. We had to cancel it. My husband asked for napkins and the waiter brought 2 for him only. We were a table of 5. We had to specify that we needed napkins for the entire table. They need to work on customer service and invest in training their staff, otherwise they will lose business. read more

Disappointed in our experience with Galleria tonight. Our order was wrong in two ways. We ordered a pasta and sausage and got meatballs instead and paid $14 for a large Caesar salad which was either a small or the smallest large I've ever see. I called and they said they would deliver a correction but it never arrived. I understand the weather was not ideal (we had snow today). Absolutely the best pizzeria restaurant in Merrick. We took chef Ciro's recommendations and it was incredible. We ordered Meat Balls with Ricotta Vodka Sauce, served in a skillet and it came out nice and hot. The Pizza Crust special was delicious with Hot Honey. The Spicy Rigatoni with Burrata and chicken cutlet was my favorite of the night. The Sorrentino was very good too. Always check out their daily specials! Don't forget to try Ciro's mom's dessert. don't even eat there! people are extremely rude and unhelpful. they also don't make the different kind of garlic knot sandwiches as advertised. They're not made fresh because when I called to ask about an ingredient I was told they make them in the morning so can't be customized. They could care less about food allergies or sensitivities! They said if i wanted it custom that i had to purchase a minimum of 6. this is extremely disappointing and completely ruined the experience. Save yourself the money and your time. have been going to galleria last few months as we live in south merrick and always looking for a better neighborhood delicious pizza/Italian restaurant . from the first time we ate there both waiters are super attentive , efficient and actually remembered exactly what we ordered after just one visit ! the food is fresh , plentiful and tasty , pizza is one of best around ( we travel with red door dash bag) for pizza , the owner always has smile on his face and seems truly engaged with each patron! it is a gem ! last nite we were asked if we wanted the usual , we just changed the topping on our pizza and when the other waiter brought it over bc it was right out of oven he said " you guys went with meatball and not sausage tonite?"! if in the mood for good quality family feeling good give them a try ! read more

I must have passed Galleria Pizzeria a 100 times. Finally went in. Only had apps but they were all delicious. Had the stuffed artichoke and the chicken scarp wings. The wings were prob the best I have had. Loved the sauce they were in. They had a veal chop special tonight pounded thin on the bone with vodka sauce or red sauce. Looked awesome. Sadly not the same restaurant I have dined at since I was a child. The new decor is nice but everything else is not what it was. Portions are smaller as are the ugly plates they serve the food on. Always a big fan of their Marsala dishes but they are not nearly as good as back a few years ago. Even the presentation is not as nice. Side of ordered spaghetti came with spaghetti and some ziti in the same bowl. Used to come with string beans as a side as well but now that is an up charge. Bread basket used to be much larger and great with pizza bread and garlic bread but no more. Servers are ok but not like the staff they had years prior. Owner is very nice and always smiling but as someone who has eaten here for 30 years or more it's just not the same and is sadly out of our rotation of regular places to dine. My favorite pizza spot on Long Island. Not only is this place so nostalgic for me because I grew up getting pizza here always, but it truly has the best food! Everything they make is so delicious and amazing. They have a beautiful sit down area and great for takeout. They also have been doing amazing new things like a giant veal chop parm (that was incredible!!) and recently the Korean BBQ pizza that was so AMAZING!! Changing the pizza game!!! Went in specifically for the pepperoni hot honey pizza. Slice was way overpriced, with no discernable cheese, sauce or even honey. There was only enough pepperoni to say that it was a pepperoni pizza. Very, very disappointed, and will never go back. I had to check back in to highly recommend Galleria ! Yesterday i had the Sicilian with pepperoni, corner slice of course . Let me start with the delicious tomatoe sauce !!! It tasted different than that on a regular slice , with a slight delicious sweetness . perfectly cooked with a crunchy crust . What a great vodka slice! Some of these slices looked like works of art, like the one with the big mozzarella ball. Also, I love that they are using the pepperoni that cups itself therefore making it nice and crispy!! The young man behind the counter seems like an owner as he was very friendly and seemed to care to greet us. I was super impressed. Oh, I almost forgot to say it's very nicely renovated. This is our local go to Italian spot for take out, but tonight was our first time dining in and i must say the hospitality and food was amazing. I saw the new menu items on instagram from devour power showing off the Spicy Rigatoni with Breaded Chicken Cutlet and a Burrata on top drizzled with Honey, and babyyyyyyyyy it was the bomb. We also had the Scarpariello Wings which was delicious and a wonderful Caesar Salad. Thank you to our server who was attentive and to the chef/owner for checking in on us and for the lovely dessert at the end. The hospitality, food and love was greatly appreciated. The interior aesthetic gives homey Italian villa and the food tastes just like your nonna made it. I'd passed Galleria many times and finally stopped in a few nights ago. to say it was disappointing is an understatement. When I asked of they had any mushroom slices, I was told no, but they could add some to two plain slices. I said fine thinking they'd put them on the slices as they were reheated in the oven. instead, they just took some raw mushrooms and threw them on top when the slices came out. Then I asked for Come and was told that of the five flavors in the dispenser, they were out of Coke. all they had was Diet Coke (yecch), Sprite and something else. The pizza was OK, not awful but not even close to the level of Umberto's in New Hyde Park. The worst thing was that every table in the place was dirty. Each one I tried to sit at looked like it hadn't been cleaned all day. I went with the least filthy option. This place was overall pretty sucky. With all the pizzerias on Long Island, there are dozens of better options. I will continue to just pass by this place in the future. read more

Since the father, Tommy, passed away and the son has taken control of Galleria it is definitely not the same. They have kids working there as servers and are clueless. While otter restaurants have switched over completely, except regular pizza, to fresh mozzarella for there dinners he is still using commercial mozzarella. The renovations look great but the quality is not there. The sauce has become acidic and lost the smooth traditional tomato taste. Our family had been supporting it since the restaurant opened, around 30 years ago. Unfortunately we will not be any longer. read more

Been coming Galeria for a long time now. Used to live in Queens and took the trip once in a while to dine in. Moved to Lindenhurst Long Island 2 years ago and still going to Galeria. Haven't been there since they renovated last year. Place looks good, more dine in space. Food is still spot on. Ordered plain and pepperoni slices for the kids along with mozzarella sticks and chicken wings. Kids loved them. So - yet another pizzeria on Long Island - a dime a dozen, no? Not this place. How lucky is my family that we are a mere blocks away from some of the best examples of real NY pizza. My 7 year old son and I even make it a point to travel around the island and try pizza and garlic knots whenever we can. It's kind of our "bonding thing". We even submitted an application to be the "Chief Pizza Officers" for a recent contest. and you know what - every time, we have to compare the others to Galleria. They just do not match up. Ciro, the owner, inherited the place from his late father, who put the place on the map. Ciro, trying to make his mark, as well, has recently (this summer) renovated the entire restaurant - from quick slice seating on one side to the well laid out tables for a nice sit down meal on the other. Ciro has experimented with a wide variety of innovative slices - as well as a fantastic selection of traditional menu staples. The customer service - second to none - when you're there - you are treated like family. During the pandemic (and since) Ciro worked with us to create a few fund raising events for the local elementary school PTA. He CARES about the community. Food was very good and tasty but the reason for 3 stars is the service in the dining room. I will likely never dine there again and will just stick to takeout. The waiters seem inexperienced and leave tables hanging for a while. Our waiter took a water jug off another table and poured our water with it (never seen that in a restaurant before).
