Smallest Sicilian pie Ive ever spent almost $30 for. Tasted pretty good though, but still felt there was about a quarter of the pie missing

The best pizza in NY. Flew all the way from Miami On JetBlue just to get a pie. Uber prices are crazy, made the pizza seem cheap. Great service, the restaurant ambiance is better than eating at home with a super model. read more

Cranberry salad pizza, barbecue chicken pizza, taco, chicken, bacon & ranch, white, spinach, stuffed meat, baked ziti pie, broccoli, Caesar salad, Grilled buffalo chicken, balsamic chicken, chicken Francesca, uncle Phil's, godfather, Grandma, Sicilian, marinara, Chicago, Mike's hot honey, stuffed vegetable, spinach & artichoke, Sicilian pesto, Sicilian Oven, grandpa .... The pizza isn't greasy, it doesn't taste like salty dough but we really get the flavor of sweet sauce, fresh basil, and thick slices of fresh mozzarella. Phil's is always spotless! This is an Italian restaurant with table waitress service. It's more than pizza, there's pasta, sandwiches, soups, salads, calzones, meat and fish dishes as well. But, I've only had the pizza here. There is a large free parking lot in front and at lunchtime it's busy with families, ladies that lunch and business lunches. Prices are competitive, and they do catering as well. read more

Best on LI? If not, it's up there. While they have other items on their menu (also real good) it's the pizza here. If not the best on Long Island, it is close to it. A lot of varieties to choose from. read more

Phil's has awesome pizza and I love his videos. They're funny. I'd give 10 stars if I could.

Wonderful place and the staff is amazing. So many great things on this menu. Start out with some baked clams or Caesar salad, maybe you would like to try their margarita pizza. Plenty of chicken dishes also. Love the chicken Marsala or just get a chicken cutlet sandwich. This restaurant is to die for. Everyone should put them on their bucket list to get there. And love the videos, don't stop. And for all the negative people out there, just grow up. read more

Got a delivery and charged full price instead of the 2 for 3 deal. The driver was nice and called the restaurant( believe he spoke to Sal) Sal needs to attend a customer service charm school! The way he spoke to the driver and me was appalling before eventually realizing he made a mistake. No apology to the customer or his staff, for wasting their time. read more

Phil's is great. I go there every time I'm in Syosett. Food and service is excellent. They really make you feel like one of the family.

I'm very much against Phil's of wantagh. Idk what sauce they use but the marinara they use in their pizzas tastes so fake and generic it's like nasty. Not my type of pizza. read more

My family and I love this place! To start: Parking is easy, they have a lot out front. Everything is fairly priced! They do special though out the week, depending on the day. They have dining space if you want a quick slice or they have a sit down side! We come at least once a week, and never have a complaint. Sal, Nino, and all their staff make this place so welcoming and inviting. Alaina is usually our server, she is extremely kind and sweet! My go to is penne a la vodka. I do have a gluten allergy but they're always able to accommodate me! I've had grilled chicken frandsche which I love! Their pizza is delicious. My favorite was their caesar salad! From regular food, to gluten free, it's all been delicious. We will definitely be returning read more

Not good, take forever, tastes awful , and takes an hour after you order ............................ I have nothing good to say about this place it's disgusting. Staff stands around and talks when orders should be ready. 3 slices literally takes 30 minutes. Just awful service do not go here so many better places around..they sit around eating instead of getting the Ubers out. read more

They advertise free pizza for 10 year anniversary and turns out you need to purchase $12 plate. How dare they. Bait and switch. Bad service. read more

Sorry to say that the last 3 times we ate in or ordered out our food was much less than desirable. It was not as tasty, the portions seemed smaller and the service was "less than service"! Even a slice of pizza is not the same (also seems smaller). But the flavors just weren't there! read more

So good my husband had to take pictures of the slices we got! Such different flavors but all so good! Everything was so filling we had one of the best sleeps of our lives that night. Screw thanksgiving dinner coma, this was legit! read more

Visiting friends and decided on pizza delivery for the kids. It was a good choice. Delivery time was adequate, didn't feel long though the site indicated it was up to 50min for food to be delivered. Pizza came a bit lope-sided but not too much to affect the quality of the pizza. Order garlic knots, 3 for $1, pretty decent size and was good. Spaghetti with meat sauce was really good. It was al dente and enough meat to have a bite of meat with spaghetti in every bite. It was a good size to feed maybe 6-8, if having other items, too. Be we weren't big eaters so it could be considered less for other customers. Wings were interesting. Ordered the Italian wings, thinking it may be a dry option. It was topped with jalapeños and delicious greens. It was a tad too sweet and with the pickled jalapeños, it was more like sweet and sour & it was not a dry option. read more

My husband and I decided to give this place a try after reading the reviews, ordered simply items such as penne ala vodka and a salad,There were so many onions in the vodka sauce and they were not diced,it's lild they put a whole onion in there!! Stopped in for a quick bite while driving around checking out our old neighborhood. The Caesar salad was really good and we shared a veal hero. They accommodated us and only made one half parmigiana because I don't eat tomato sauce. My side just had cheese. The veal was delicious, the bread was crispy on the outside. The pizzas in the case looked delicious! I recommend this place. read more

Poor and unfriendly service, the pizza average at best. Better choice is Umberto's in the cherrywood shopping center or Prince Umberto on Wantagh Ave read more

The pizza is good here but I'm giving it a 1 Star. Today is March 14th 2020. I feel terrible for all the small business owners around here because it's going to take a toll on their businesses for sure. But I'm out spending money and eating at their restaurants. The corona virus is spreading across Long Island like wild fire. Everyone is saying don't shake people's hands, don't touch door knobs....you touch my food that I'm about to eat with your hands after you.... Slapped high fives with a Co worker Picked up a phone to take an order Touched a credit card Accepted cash WITHOUT GLOVES and WITHOUT WASHING YOUR HANDS... Come on, step up a little bit. read more

I was STARVING late on a Thursday night and discovered this pizza place with 20 minutes to spare (before closing). I called to make sure they would take card for just a couple of slices (they did) and was SO glad to see CORNER grandma slices left that late at night. That is my FAVORITE! And it was DELICIOUS. As a new homeowner in Wantagh I'm so glad to have a "go-to" pizza place now. Not to mention, they participated in Black Out Tuesday #JusticeForGeorgeFloyd ....Thanks Phil's of Wantagh. read more

Phil's Pizzeria & Restaurant - Corner Grandma Slice - Italian Near Me - Wantagh, New York

When I first moved to Wantagh, this was my go-to pizza spot. Their upside down L&B style Sicilian was a particular favorite. However, the last two times I got delivery, it was such a soupy mess that the majority of the pizza had slid off the crust. This leads me to believe that either A: the pizza sauce is entirely too watery, B: The pizzas are being thrown into delivery boxes and shipped out without giving them even a second to set, C: The delivery drivers are total fucking jerkoffs, or D: All of the above. Either way, I think I'm moving my business over to Umberto's. You can't charge $35 for a pizza and then deliver it to me leaking out the side of the box. read more

We had great service here. I'm all about customer service adding to the business. I had their margarita slice that was great. Good flavor. Excellent crust. The plain slice was good with lots of cheese. My daughter had dropped her slice and we went to buy another but they were so sweet and gave her another free of charge. Now that is genuine kindness. Plenty of room to eat. Parking in front lot is there. Staff is nice. Place is clean. I would definitely come back. read more

Service is terrible. I placed an order to stay. There were. Very few customers. I stood in front of the counter for 10 minutes and no one asked what I was waiting for. I finally asked where my order was and the girl at the counter said something to the guy making pizzas who I saw put my order in the oven just then. I asked is that my order and she just stared at me. No apologies or comments. Won't be coming back. read more

I don't know about the food, but costumer service says it all, I stood there for 5 mins, while the guy babbled about cement, while completely ignoring me, if that's how they conduct business? Can't imagine their love for food making is there. read more

I've been living in wantagh for 6 yrs and this is my go to spot. Pizza is good, spinach broccoli pinwheels are perfect for the late night snack. My favorite is the cranberry salad, no cucumber no chicken peas. I add chicken and balsamic dressing. And the chicken franchise with melted mozzarella is the perfect dinner. Check it out! read more

Stopped by Phil's for a quick lunch after a visit to nearby Bide-A-Wee. I got a square spinach artichoke slice with melted fresh mozzarrella and it was humongous! Too cheesy for me and not made w/tomato sauce which I prefer, still good but would try something else next time. Hubbie got chicken parm slice which he said was tasty. We usually get two slices each but couldn't eat another bite. Friendly smiling guy brought our slices to our booth, a nice unexpected touch. read more

Nice addition to the Wantagh neighborhood. The staff was very friendly and even hooked me up with a specialty slice I was admiring in the display case. Phil's thing is their specialty pizzas and I have always been a fan at all their other locations. Here I tried the eggplant rollatini pizza which was excellent, the fried eggplant was complimented by huge dollops of fresh ricotta cheese. We also tried a cheese pie which was very good. My fave was oddly not a pizza at all but their surprisingly fantastic chicken parm hero. Not only was the hero delicious, but I was really impressed at the sturdy cardboard box it comes in. Most places just wrap them in foil which the mozzarella always sticks to and makes a mess. They have plenty of parking and a decent size seating area. Looking forward to coming back again! read more

We ordered 4 dinners to be delivered. Delivery was faster than expected. Phil's is great in that. They really are organized and their staff is excellent. We got 3 parm dinners. The portions were huge and the cheese was above and beyond piled on that it was so heavy to eat. The eggplant was very heavy and oily as was the chicken. It lasted 3 meals because it was so heavy. If you like big portions like this, then Phil's is your place, but we would rather have better food. read more
