In my opinion, Off the Hook has one of the best happy hours around. I'm talking $1 oysters, $1 clams, $3 off apps/draft beer/cocktails, from 3pm - 7pm. They also got a meaaaan 3 course early bird prix fixe menu for only $29.95 from 3pm - 6pm. Sure you can always grab a table in their gorgeous dining room but I really enjoy chatting with their bartender at the bar and watching some sports highlights on the tele. Once it start getting nice out again soon, you can also eat out on their rear deck overlooking the canal. Can't wait!

The bartender I was looking for wasn't there smh. But! I sat at the bar . The vibe was cool. I did like the oysters. They were very good. The drink was good. I think it was a crab meat mozzerella stick? I don't know why I feel it was imitation crab meat ...

This place was amazing!!! We sat at the bar just to get a couple of drinks and we ended up getting oysters. The best oysters I've ever had on Long Island. They were amazing. They were fresh and we also were in the mood to try their live role. best la role I ever had definitely coming back for happy hour and to get that food again lol.

When I arrived I parked on the street nearby. I walked in and I was greeted and sat. The place was dimly lit and nice. I was served by Kim and she was great. I started with the espresso martini and that was good. For food I had: Drunken Mussels Shrimp Mofongo Mac and cheese The food was delicious! I really loved the Mussels the most! I really enjoyed my time!

Went with family and the Food was great. Service was second to none. The waitress Ximena was very attentive and helpful when asked for suggestions. I love this place directly on the water and the decor was well thought out and makes it stand out. I love the rays of lights that came through the ceiling. Will definitely go again. PS. I almost forgot the drinks. Try both the passion fruit margarita and mojito.

Beautiful scenery and outdoor seating with friendly staff. I ordered the warm lobster roll since the server recommended it; however, it was very chewy and not tender like other rolls I've had. The regular fries were hot and crispy. I recommend the regular fries over the yucca fries. The yucca fries were tough and dry. Highly recommend the whole fish branzino and calamari. Both were very fresh and tender. If I were to return I would try the cold lobster roll...perhaps that one wouldn't be so chewy or the whole fish again. Overall a great staple if you know what to order

Outstanding service! Very attentive and super friendly! Beautiful ambiance on a sunny day! Super clean and the food was very fresh Chicken Cesar salad ($13 extra for chicken) otherwise the salad about $12 the New England clam chowder! Has carrots and has the best flavor I've ever had! Absolutely delicious

Beautiful and cute little place. Husband and I stopped by on a Monday evening. The bar was empty and most people sat at the tables. We like sitting at the bar for happy hour. We had the oysters for oyster week. We weren't crazy about the local ones this year but can't beat $1/each to try. We also tried their raw clams. They were nicely cleaned but was a bit bland (none of that seafood sweetness one seek). What you really must try is their crabmeat guacamole! It's so fresh with homemade tortilla chips (I'm guessing since it taste way too good coming from a bag). I also had their island punch and it is one of the best fruity cocktail I had for awhile. D the bartender definitely don't skimp on the alcohol and it still taste good (sneaky drink). The margarita was delicious too! Perfectly made! We were pretty content after 12 clams and 12 oysters, the appt, and drinks. I would definitely be back to try their regular menu next time.

Stopped by this spot on the Nautical Mile after work for a quick drink and bite. The location is definitely a win--right by the water with a cozy view if you're sitting near the bar or outside. The aesthetic inside is super cute, perfect for a chill night out with your girlfriends. We went for a glass of white and red wine, skipping the cocktails this time (just weren't in the mood for what they had to offer), but the bartender was very sweet and attentive. Service overall was great. I had my hopes set on trying the mofongo, but was disappointed to find it's no longer on the menu and wish the online menu was updated to reflect that. That was a letdown. Prices are on the higher end, but it's expected with the waterfront location. Food-wise, the 6-piece oysters were fresh, and the New England clam chowder really hit the spot, creamy, flavorful, and comforting. I tried the warm lobster roll, which was just okay, but the side of chips was a nice touch and could have used some lemon with the roll. Would love to come back during happy hour to give the cocktails a fair shot, maybe the vibe will be different then. Overall, a nice spot to unwind, but hoping for a few tweaks to the menu and pricing to make it a go-to.

My boyfriend and I came here for dinner one night and after this experience we couldn't wait to share with everyone. The ambiance is romantic, elegant and classy. Right off the water, I can't wait to come here during the summer I just know it's going to be even more amazing to be able to sit outside. Our server was Ximena she was kind and patient with us and also gave some suggestions on menu items. To drink we had the chance to try many options and they got better and better each time. The Rosemary lemon drop was so good served in a rock glass and was so much more than what we expected. The Dark forest was one of my favorites I def say try this. The Fresh Mojito was one of the best mojitos I've ever had. If you come here for drinks and apps alone you will be on cloud 9. I heard happy hour is amazing I can't wait to come for that ($1 oysters). The oyster shots are amazing very spicy but really good. We ordered the House oysters which are the absolute best on nautical mile so fresh, excellent taste. Cajun baked clams my boyfriend enjoyed I couldn't have them since they had sausage however he enjoyed them and said they were really good also. The Cornflake shrimp is an absolute must have delicious, fried to perfection and the sauce was a great addition. We also got the Grilled octopus which was good it comes with a small bean salad which is served cold. I enjoyed this is was cooked well and not to oily. For entrees we had the linguine and clams which had plenty of clams. It also had good flavor and the portion was good. We also had the fried whole red snapper which was fried to perfection and beautifully presented. It came with sauces and crispy plantains very delicious. For dessert we got one of the most popular items which is the pistachio ricotta cake I love pistachio so this was also a good choice.

    LOBSTER MAC & CHEESE, seabass

Two starts only for the lobster mac n cheese and the avocado mouse appetizer (ask for chips because for some reason they won't come with them). If you're looking to spend money on a "decent" meal and want gimmicky service, def come here. If you're looking to get the most out of your money and more of a conservative dining experience, stay away! My wife and I were looking for more of an upscale dining atmosphere apart from the bars along the strip. We walked by Off the Hook and already, one of the waiters was cracking cheesy jokes to pull us in. Eye roll, but this was the only place that seemed like it would be our vibe. As soon as we sat, I hear someone coming up to our table asking, to some degree or another, how much respect we would have for someone with an extra long toothpick hanging out of their mouth. Right away, without even looking, I said, "not at all". Unfortunately, as I turn to shoo this clown away, I realize he's our waiter. Already, these were two hints to leave asap but we regretfully stayed. The third was the beverage I ordered. A Hugo Spritz. He brings a purple drink over and as I'm abt to drink it, he said that this extra shot he's holding will make it change color. Eye roll! I ultimately had to send it back because of how sugary it was and tasted nothing like what I ordered. For the main dish, he pushed the seabass special, even going to far as to show me a pic of it on his phone. Classy... I chose the branzino from the menu and he insisted on the special so fine. Once it came, you could tell it was a fish on its way out. Any whole fish you receive as an entree that has cloudy eyes, you know it wasn't the freshest fish. It was also tiny and flavorless. My wife liked the lobster mac n cheese so kudos to the kitchen for that. As we were halfway done, a family of 5 was seated extremely close to us where we had to move our table over. Meanwhile the place was EMPTY! This waiter again, was pitching this fish to this family but going so far as repeating how amazing it was and showing the pic of the fish to every single member of the party. We had a headache once we were ready to leave.

    MOZZARELLA RANGOON
    James A.

Just happened to stop by this place for a last minute date night and it really hit the spot. The grilled oysters were delicious and crab mozzarella Rangoon were delicious. We got a lobster roll and fish and chips both were so good. And also had a mojito and the lava cake for dessert. I definitely will be back here! The service was also on point !

Was very excited to try off the hook! The decor inside is very pretty. I came here with my mom & son this afternoon. We were excited to try as I heard good things. We ordered drinks - I had the tres amigas margarita - a spicy marg - very good. My mom had an espresso martini. Unfortunately It tasted terrible. Wasn't able to drink It, very watered down. We told the waiter and he took It off the bill and she got a lychee martini instead, she enjoyed that. We decided to split entrees - we split a Caesar salad and the double stack burger. They described It as a smash burger but It was so much juicier than that in my opinion. It also had a sauce on It which was very good. The Caesar was good but It tasted like no dressing (maybe they forgot?) I asked for an additional side of dressing and they gave at no charge. I heard the lobster Mac & cheese is great and I would like to come back to try

There's also a cute little ice cream shop called Sam's Scoops as well, which has a seriously yummy vegan cookies & cream flavor. That pretty much summed up the vibe of the night friendly, relaxed, and memorable. The food was excellent from start to finish. I had the Caesar salad appetizer, which was very good, and my sister had the calamari, which she said was excellent. For our entrées, we both ordered the chicken parmesan with alavaca sauce, and it was absolutely delicious. To finish the night, we shared the crème brûlée for dessert, and it was the perfect treat. The portion is definitely big enough for two people, so I wouldn't recommend ordering one per person. The location is beautiful and right by the water true to the restaurant's name. The only small thing to note is the parking. There are two parking lots, and the first one is definitely the better option. The second lot leads closer to the waterfront entrance and can feel a little tight and snug when parking. Overall, we had an amazing time and would absolutely go back. The Picasso was a nice size, but the sandwich lacked a little seasoning and needed a little more balsamic. It felt kind of dry. Appetizers, Empanadas, although flavorful, came lukewarm, at best, as if they had been sitting under a warm lamp waiting for their name to be called, instead of cooked to order. The Guacamole, the same. Brownish, as if it sat in the molcajete awaiting the next guest's order. Accompanying Plantain Chips the same. They should be cooked to order and served hot tableside. The Fried Cheese is a good addition. You should not taste stale oil that it was fried in though. The Mofongo (Chicken) was decent, although a tad stiff (it definitely needed the Amarillo sauce.) The fried Chicken Strips again, should've been hot but were lukewarm. The Mofongo's serving amount was smaller than what we're normally used to but it's a dish we could reorder. The Seafood tower lacked flavor and was overcooked. Every piece of Seafood curdled (Shrimp, Lobster Tails). The Crablegs seemed old, as they had black spots on some of the legs. The Tower definitely needed the Sauce, which seemed prebottled and not exclusive. It doesn't take much to make an Housemade Seafood Boil sauce versus just providing an oily pre-bottled one. The Grilled Chicken with Rice and Beans, seems like a safe bet but here are the issues/concerns: 1. The Grilled Chicken flavor was fantastic and the Char was perfect! The Chicken itself was rubbery and congealed, as if it was wet brined too long. Rendered it inedible. The rice was good but the Frijoles severely lacked flavor or a decent amount of beans. Fallen skin from overcooked beans does not count! The Drinks were worrh coming for. The Coquito, Berry Smash and Manhattan were all fuerte (strong) and REALLY good!
