Jumbo stuffed shrimp
Alexis N.

It's one of my aunt's favorite restaurants and I now understand why. I started with a Caeser salad which was delicious. I also had one of their many specials for dinner. It was grilled skirt steak with 2 of their jumbo stuffed shrimp. The stuffed shrimp had crabmeat which was delicious. The wait people were attentive and because my aunt is a regular, we were treated like family. Having a window seat with the view of the marina and various boats was also a nice treat.

Dourada (white fish) over spinach under onions with diced potatoes on the side
Aba H.

Scallops were perfect (with steamed veggies), branzino was breaded but still very good (came with spiraled veggies), and the dourada (came over spinach and under onions) was good except swimming in oil and would've been much better without the oil. Service reasonably attentive. Still enjoy the marina view. The dourada was reasonably priced at $27.75, the branzino was overpriced at $38.75, and the scallops were even more expensive at $41.75.

Stuffed pork chop, cooked perfectly

We think Pier 95 is a solid 5, and even a 5 plus. P95 is way under rated on Yelp. We are repeat customers and always have an exceptional meal and super service. We rate P95 amongst the very best dining experiences on Long Island. The location is somewhat off the main trail nestled in a marina and waterfront community a few blocks from Freeport's Nautical mile. Thats a good thing, parking is easy and the crowd is much more reserved. The decor is modern and updated with comfortable seating and white table cloths. There is wonderfully stocked bar as you enter and every table has a waterfront view. This is a perfect location to share a great meal and waterfront view with a small or large group. I would also consider enjoying a meal at the bar while watching one of the big screen TVs. They have a wonderful Continental menu. Their seafood dishes are top notch but there are great non-seafood options. Last night I had the stuffed pork chop. It was the best stuffed pork chop I can remember having in a long time. Not an easy dish to prepare and cook right. The chop was breaded and stuffed with Prosciutto and cheese. It was Cooked to perfection and served with potatoes and a steamed veggie medley. It was not only delicious and visually pleasing but was also a large portion. Delicious. We also has the octopus app. This octopus app is an absolute 10. It is tender and flavorful and hands down the best octopus dish in region. This is worth the trip alone! The owners are also present all the time. They greet and serve every patron. We believe this is a sign of owner commitment and dedication to providing and serving the best dining experience. We highly recommend this Yelp underrated restaurant. Pier 95 is amongst my favorite restaurants in the region. We will be returning, often. They also have a great wine list.

The Paella had lobster, clams, scallops over rice. Served in a skillet to keep it hot. Excellent!

My wife and I wanted to go to a restaurant that was unique where we could take our time and enjoy our food and our friends. Our friends suggested Pier 95 in Freeport, NY. We looked over the menu online and thought it looked perfect. We arrive in the late afternoon on a Sunday and found it delightful. The owner, Ramiro, greeted us at the door and sat us by the windows. A great view of the canal and all the boats. Check out the photos. Our waiter, Tiago, was polite and told us about the menu and the Portuguese culture and food. They are all Portuguese. Our friends showed up and Ramiro hugged them. It seems our friends loved this place and the restaurant staff loves our friends. We ordered appetizers and drinks. The octopus was perfectly seasoned and baked clams were great. We had ordered our entrees: Salmon, Paella seafood, Sole of Fillet and Stuffed Shrimp dinners. Everything was delicious, served hot and cooked to perfection! We were never rushed and Ramiro came over to see how we were. We all enjoyed ourselves the entire time we we there. We decided on desserts: Poached pear with vanilla ice cream and chocolate mousse with vanilla ice cream. They were superb and melted in your mouth. Wow! We felt like we have made some great friends and will be back again and again. Ramiro, his wife, Fatima and our waiter, Tiago were great. If you are in the Freeport area, you need to come to Pier 95. You will be greeted as a friend and treated like royalty. The views are great, there is plenty of parking, the service and food is excellent. I know we will be back again, so I hope to see you there. Be safe, stay health and eat well. All the best to you all.

Specialty entree - Gordash Fish with mashed and spinish.

I thoroughly enjoyed my post covid shot dinner out at Pier 95 The ambiance was nice, as you walk into wide open spaces with social distance markings. The bar is to the left and was spacious and fully stocked. There was nice jazz music playing in the background, not too loud, but perfect for the environment. We started our meal with a sangria carafe, red, and corn chowder and lobster bisque. The corn chowder was lukewarm but tasty. The sangria was perfect with the bits of apples and oranges. I had a daily special which was gordash (sp?) fish with spinach and mashed potatoes. The fish was roped with cappers, olives and baked to a golden brown in olive oil. It was light and tasty and more than I though I could eat, though I did eat it all on account of its deliciousness! The spinach was good as was the mashed, though it was more than I could eat after stuffing myself with the fish. I had the creme brûlée for dessert and it was very delicious. I definitely recommend Pier 95 for special occasions but bring your whole wallet as it's not inexpensive but definitely worth every penny.

Food: I had the lobster mac and cheese and the not so old fashioned, both were delicious. My friends had shrimp and fries with the rum punch as well as the chicken and drink with prosecco and with a juice that made it turn purple pretty cool. I believe it came with a lemon drop shot. Appetizers we got the calamari and mozzarella Rangoon delish. We sat outside in front on the mile but I hear they have seating in the back area near the water. Definitely come here!! I will definitely come back here and try a few other dishes as well. Keep up the good work and great tasting food and drinks.

We were thinking that it would just be a boring ride that the tour guide will explain about the places we will be going. The ladies band music added to the great experience. I love the relatively new addition of the volleyball courts and the public workout station at the park along end of the mile. I'm also quite fond of the new restaurants that call the Nautical Mile home, namely Off the Hook and Secret Thai Kitchen. There's also a cute little ice cream shop called Sam's Scoops as well, which has a seriously yummy vegan cookies & cream flavor. My favorite thing to do on the mile is kayaking and spending a whole afternoon on the water. There's even a couple of "secret beach" islands, though they seem sort of inhabited, though fun to explore the perimeters of. Like I said, I really LOVE it here.

Our waitress made us feel completely comfortable we were laughing, having side conversations, and genuinely enjoying ourselves all night. By the end of the evening, she even said, "Goodnight, love you!" and quickly laughed saying she didn't mean to say it. That pretty much summed up the vibe of the night friendly, relaxed, and memorable. The food was excellent from start to finish. I had the Caesar salad appetizer, which was very good, and my sister had the calamari, which she said was excellent. For our entrées, we both ordered the chicken parmesan with alavaca sauce, and it was absolutely delicious. To finish the night, we shared the crème brûlée for dessert, and it was the perfect treat. The portion is definitely big enough for two people, so I wouldn't recommend ordering one per person. The location is beautiful and right by the water true to the restaurant's name. The only small thing to note is the parking. There are two parking lots, and the first one is definitely the better option. The second lot leads closer to the waterfront entrance and can feel a little tight and snug when parking. Overall, we had an amazing time and would absolutely go back. The nachos had a generous amount of crumbled sausage cheese and bruschetta as well as some spicy peppers. We really enjoyed the nachos. The Picasso was a nice size, but the sandwich lacked a little seasoning and needed a little more balsamic. It felt kind of dry. For cocktails we got the strawberry lemon drop, it tasted a little medicinal and the cucumber lime spritz type drink(I can't recall the exact name). This one was very good. An overall very mixed experience but I want to give it another shot even if only for the nachos

Appetizers, Empanadas, although flavorful, came lukewarm, at best, as if they had been sitting under a warm lamp waiting for their name to be called, instead of cooked to order. The Guacamole, the same. Brownish, as if it sat in the molcajete awaiting the next guest's order. Accompanying Plantain Chips the same. They should be cooked to order and served hot tableside. The Fried Cheese is a good addition. You should not taste stale oil that it was fried in though. The Mofongo (Chicken) was decent, although a tad stiff (it definitely needed the Amarillo sauce.) The fried Chicken Strips again, should've been hot but were lukewarm. The Mofongo's serving amount was smaller than what we're normally used to but it's a dish we could reorder. The Seafood tower lacked flavor and was overcooked. Every piece of Seafood curdled (Shrimp, Lobster Tails). The Crablegs seemed old, as they had black spots on some of the legs. The Tower definitely needed the Sauce, which seemed prebottled and not exclusive. It doesn't take much to make an Housemade Seafood Boil sauce versus just providing an oily pre-bottled one. The Grilled Chicken with Rice and Beans, seems like a safe bet but here are the issues/concerns: 1. The Grilled Chicken flavor was fantastic and the Char was perfect! The Chicken itself was rubbery and congealed, as if it was wet brined too long. Rendered it inedible. The rice was good but the Frijoles severely lacked flavor or a decent amount of beans. Fallen skin from overcooked beans does not count! The Drinks were worrh coming for. The Coquito, Berry Smash and Manhattan were all fuerte (strong) and REALLY good! BE CAREFUL to NOT PARK in the lot adjacent to the right. They do have a dedicated lot on the left, behind the main restaurant and next to their Hookah across the street by the docks.
