First off let's start this review off by saying I never heard of this place before today lol. I was recommended to try this place out by a friend and boy am I glad I gave it a try. The service was great the waiters were very helpful with any questions we had and answered all questions when asked. They suggested some dishes and I asked about some I was interested in through pictures I saw on Yelp! Finally I went with the prefix menu which includes soup or salad, drink plus main dish for lunch. I went with the stuffed pork chop which has prosciutto and a side of sautéed veggies. The pork chop was super soft and succulent and the prosciutto was cooked to perfection not salty at all as well as the veggies which were well seasoned. We also ordered the filet fish of Dourada which I have never had before it was so tasty and flaky very nice fish light but filling. It was stuffed with spinach topped with delicious caramelized onions and a side of diced potatoes. The caramelized onions stole the show on this particular dish for real! Shoutout to the chef they did their thing! Last but not least I had dessert which was the highlight of the meal! Poached pear with vanilla ice cream wow simply amazing. Again first time having this type of dessert the pear was sweet but not overbearing and the raspberry sauce was not sour nor sweet but just right yummy! I give this place a 10/10. The service was on point their knowledge of their food and menu was spot on, the views were great, and the food was amazing. What more could you ask for in a dining experience? If could give them zero stars, I would. Absolutely disgusting customer service. We walked into this restaurant with a party of 17, including 3 children. The kids were calm and not running around, yet an employee immediately approached us in a rude and unprofessional manner saying, "the kids are a problem and need to remain seated." The assumption and tone were completely unnecessary and disrespectful. No parent in our group was allowing the children to misbehave, and being greeted that way before we even sat down was unacceptable. Because of how we were treated, all 17 of us decided to walk right out. Customer service and basic respect clearly are not priorities here. read more

Excellent brunch on a Thursday afternoon!! The special menu comes with a drink, great choices for your meal and coffee or tea. I had a mimosa and then , an amazing seafood omelet!! Everything was wonderful!! The host, as always, was very welcoming and friendly and our waiter, Jordan, was wonderful! He was very attentive to our needs, funny and also friendly!! We loved him!! SPECTACULAR!! This gem was off the usual nautical mile strip and it was absolutely worth it. We came here for our friend's birthday and it was an amazing experience. From the moment we walked in, the owner greeted us, which was a very nice touch. Since our friends wasn't here yet, we grabbed a drink at the bar and Tiego took care of us. My fiancé wanted a froze which they didn't have but Tiego went out of his way and made it for her. That alone shows me how kind and committed he is with his customers. He was truly a nice guy. Once we got seated, our waiter was very attentive to us during our entire visit. The food here was very good. In fact, it's the first restaurant where no one had take aways. The view from our table was very nice as we got to sit by the water. Overall, this restaurant was amazing and the staff here were the icing on the cake! We will return! read more

It's one of my aunt's favorite restaurants and I now understand why. I started with a Caeser salad which was delicious. I also had one of their many specials for dinner. It was grilled skirt steak with 2 of their jumbo stuffed shrimp. The stuffed shrimp had crabmeat which was delicious. The wait people were attentive and because my aunt is a regular, we were treated like family. Having a window seat with the view of the marina and various boats was also a nice treat. read more

My 30th anniversary. Had a reservation through open table. Arrived on time and was sat. After 50 min asked bus person where our food was. Service came and apologized for not put order into kitchen. When food finally came it was ok. Nothing special for the price. When we left a gift card we were give 6 months ago was not honored. We had to pay for something that was supposed to be a gift. Sad. I brought a group of 16 people to attend a bingo lunch today at Pier 95. None of my friends have ever been to this venue. Each and every person had a fabulous time. The manager Tiago and owner Jenny were very accommodating with our group. The food was absolutely delicious. The bingo was a lot of fun and someone in our group even won one of the bingos. Every dish was great but the standout was the Dourado. We will definitely be back. I'm looking forward to warmer weather when we can sit out on the deck facing the water. Went out to dinner last night with my husband. Atmosphere is always elegant and understated. We having been coming here for decades. I had the blackened sesame crusted tuna and mashed potatoes. Delicious! My husband had the short ribs, which were also incredible. It is only a block east of the nautical mile but seems like a world away. read more

First and foremost, the food was really good. Everyone at my table was happy with their meal. They weren't happy with everything else though. The prices on the meal compared to how much food you get is ridiculous. If I'm paying $50 for shrimp paella then they better peel the shrimp at least. The restaurant was extremely loud with children running around screaming with the staff not doing anything about it. The food took forever to come out despite not many people being there. Weirdest of all is the photographer. As we're waiting for our food, a guy comes up to our table and says he's taking pictures for the restaurant and wanted to know if we were cool with our pictures being taken. We said sure as we thought it was going to be like 1 or 2 photos for the website. This guy takes over a dozen pictures with us in different poses and groups and wouldn't take no for an answer when we said we wanted to stop and eat. Then at the end of our meal, he shows up again with the pictures printed and in frames and flooded the table with them. He wanted us to pay for them but we told him to scram. read more

We had a gift card for this restaurant. Fortunately, we showed the card first. We were told that the ownership changed hands and the cards were honored until the end of 2025. The person kept repeating this to us. If they had offered a discount, at least, we would have stayed. There are beautiful water views with pier access so you can boat up to the restaurant. The food is the star of this restaurant. We think Pier 95 is a solid 5, and even a 5 plus. P95 is way under rated on Yelp. We are repeat customers and always have an exceptional meal and super service. We rate P95 amongst the very best dining experiences on Long Island. The location is somewhat off the main trail nestled in a marina and waterfront community a few blocks from Freeport's Nautical mile. Thats a good thing, parking is easy and the crowd is much more reserved. The decor is modern and updated with comfortable seating and white table cloths. There is wonderfully stocked bar as you enter and every table has a waterfront view. This is a perfect location to share a great meal and waterfront view with a small or large group. I would also consider enjoying a meal at the bar while watching one of the big screen TVs. They have a wonderful Continental menu. Their seafood dishes are top notch but there are great non-seafood options. Last night I had the stuffed pork chop. It was the best stuffed pork chop I can remember having in a long time. Not an easy dish to prepare and cook right. The chop was breaded and stuffed with Prosciutto and cheese. It was Cooked to perfection and served with potatoes and a steamed veggie medley. It was not only delicious and visually pleasing but was also a large portion. Delicious. We also has the octopus app. This octopus app is an absolute 10. It is tender and flavorful and hands down the best octopus dish in region. This is worth the trip alone! The owners are also present all the time. They greet and serve every patron. We believe this is a sign of owner commitment and dedication to providing and serving the best dining experience. We highly recommend this Yelp underrated restaurant. I'm trying to stay positive, here, so let me get my Tiara on. (*siiiiiighhh*) The restaurant *is* beautiful, I'll give it that. And Tony, our bar tender/waiter was beyond personable, funny, light-hearted yet still very professional. However, the food... Eh... I'll start by saying, if you want exquisite desserts, the Pastry Chef is by far, bar none, the *BEST* Pastry Chef I've ever sampled such delicacies from. She is so talented; I begged her to teach me her skills. She refused. Having said that, there were a few other good points, but...meh. We were a group of nine. We all ordered apps and intending on sharing them amongst the table. I chose a special for the night; the Clams Casino. If you've never had Clams Casino, typical they're Little Neck Clams, kept attached to the shell (so...whole) draped with a couple thin pieces of prosciutto or pancetta, a couple thin pieces of red pepper, doused in a minced garlic, pepper, oregano and wine sauce, then thrown in the salamander for a few minutes and ta-daaaa! Clams Casino. Pier 95's Clams Casino had the Clam meat removed from the shell and minced, mixed with bread crumbs, a mirepoix and baked. Definitely not Clams Casino; More like Baked Stuffed Clams, but regardless... The flavor was nice, I will admit. The two pieces of shell and one "rock" I had in my face (that almost broke my tooth) were not enjoyable. I spit out the shells & rock and pictured them, so if you order their Clam-anything, be careful. For my entreé, I ordered Seared Sea Scallops in a light Tomato Béarnaise sauce. Plating was beautiful. The Scallops were Spot-On. They were served with cauliflower, broccoli and mashed potatoes. The cauliflower and broccoli were almost raw; Edible only if raw Cauliflower and raw Broccoli is your thing. It's not mine. The mashed potatoes were very lumpy and bland. They were mashed with a potato mashed; they weren't "whipped potatoes". Also, I don't think much butter or cream was used in their making. I had two bites and left the rest. The only things I found edible on my entreé plate were the Sea Scallops. That's it. Dessert; A-WHOLE-nother story. I ordered Crême Bruleé. It was as perfect as I make my own. Everyone was blown away by the dessert-round. Overall; We had a nice time. Everyone else was thrilled (but frankly, they don't cook like I do, nor have the culinary background I do). I wouldn't recommend this place to a friend, but I would not suggest someone go elsewhere, either. read more

My wife and I wanted to go to a restaurant that was unique where we could take our time and enjoy our food and our friends. Our friends suggested Pier 95 in Freeport, NY. We looked over the menu online and thought it looked perfect. We arrive in the late afternoon on a Sunday and found it delightful. The owner, Ramiro, greeted us at the door and sat us by the windows. A great view of the canal and all the boats. Check out the photos. Our waiter, Tiago, was polite and told us about the menu and the Portuguese culture and food. They are all Portuguese. Our friends showed up and Ramiro hugged them. It seems our friends loved this place and the restaurant staff loves our friends. We ordered appetizers and drinks. The octopus was perfectly seasoned and baked clams were great. We had ordered our entrees: Salmon, Paella seafood, Sole of Fillet and Stuffed Shrimp dinners. Everything was delicious, served hot and cooked to perfection! We were never rushed and Ramiro came over to see how we were. We all enjoyed ourselves the entire time we we there. We decided on desserts: Poached pear with vanilla ice cream and chocolate mousse with vanilla ice cream. They were superb and melted in your mouth. Wow! We felt like we have made some great friends and will be back again and again. Ramiro, his wife, Fatima and our waiter, Tiago were great. If you are in the Freeport area, you need to come to Pier 95. You will be greeted as a friend and treated like royalty. The views are great, there is plenty of parking, the service and food is excellent. I know we will be back again, so I hope to see you there. This couple operate a top notch restaurant with 5 star meal creations. I've gone several times in the past 10 years and I'm NEVER disappointed! When I tear myself away from ordering the duck entree, I'm thrilled with the scallops or the salmon. Dishes pass by that I can't wait to order next time. But I come back to the duck most often. I've been as a couple, a foursome, and several times as a group of 8 or 12 - with perfect service each time. And the seating by the dock is gorgeous and romantic. SPECTACULAR! I absolutely loved the stuffed shrimp, tiger shrimp, and the tartufo. My family enjoyed it too and the flan and the almond cake. We were so happy to come to this local restaurant with delicious food, it was my first time here and I heard great things. The service was top notch, we got a table by the window and our waiter was the nicest. I highly recommend this place. It's pricey but worth it. I thoroughly enjoyed my post covid shot dinner out at Pier 95 The ambiance was nice, as you walk into wide open spaces with social distance markings. The bar is to the left and was spacious and fully stocked. There was nice jazz music playing in the background, not too loud, but perfect for the environment. We started our meal with a sangria carafe, red, and corn chowder and lobster bisque. The corn chowder was lukewarm but tasty. The sangria was perfect with the bits of apples and oranges. I had a daily special which was gordash (sp?) fish with spinach and mashed potatoes. The fish was roped with cappers, olives and baked to a golden brown in olive oil. It was light and tasty and more than I though I could eat, though I did eat it all on account of its deliciousness! The spinach was good as was the mashed, though it was more than I could eat after stuffing myself with the fish. I had the creme brûlée for dessert and it was very delicious. I definitely recommend Pier 95 for special occasions but bring your whole wallet as it's not inexpensive but definitely worth every penny. read more

We visited Pier 95 on a recent Saturday night for an anniversary celebration. The service was great. It was strange the restaurant was pretty empty for a Saturday at prime dinner time. They ran out of one of the appetizers ordered which is strange since the restaurant wasn't busy. The lobster cream soup was very good, but the lobster in the soup was barely edible. i don't expect chunks, but at least it should be edible. A ceasar salad was ok and a small portion. Short ribs were salty and another small portion. The paella was a big serving, had a delicious tiny lobster tail. The meat was way overdone and dry. There was a big piece of worthless lobster, the body where there is no meat at all. Why even put that in there. The new owner came by and introduced herself. The wine was not very good. I think there are some growing pains going on with the new ownership and it seems much more like a summer place to go since it's on the water. I hope this helps them get better as the menu was fantastic and it's a great spot. read more

Staff is very helpful, friendly and attentive. We started with a special for our appetizer, the grilled calamari in a spicy sauce. The calamari was rubbery and the sauce tasted like they just tossed in bottled franks hot sauce. It was definitely not homemade. We also shared the baked clams casino style. I did not think they were particularly good either. All I could taste were chopped up bell peppers. For our entrees I ordered the surf and turf and my husband got the skirt steak special. The skirt steak was really good, flavorful and juicy. Paired with matchstick fries and some random carrot/zucchini shavings they throw in as garnish. For my surf and turf the lobster and filet mignon were a little dry but the sweet potato mash added a nice creamy texture. For dessert we had the chocolate mousse cake and tiramisu. Both were very good. Overall we had a good time but the food was lacking some taste. read more

First time dining in Freeport and this restaurant came up as a great choice for on the water dining. We Made reservations then I ventured in there on Valentine's Day, it definitely wasn't busy but we waited 10 minutes to be acknowledged then another 10 minutes to be seated. We started to wonder if we came in the wrong way since there was no host podium or a host to greet customers. Finally a bartender said they would be right with us. There were maybe 3 people at the bar so we were still confused why it took that long to greet and seat us. We didn't realize they were only offering the limited Valentine's menu when we made reservations here. The lady server came to take our order- didn't introduce herself. I ordered a rum & coke and she spent a good amount of time going back and forth with us stating that she's never heard of that rum and they definitely don't have it. How is it possible that I spent 20 minutes by the door way reading most of the bottles on the bar and I know what this restaurant carry and the server doesn't?? She eventually went to the bar and guess what? They did have the rum she claims the restaurant doesn't have. I ordered the garlic shrimp app and my boyfriend ordered the crab cake app. My shrimps were not deveined or succulent. They brought my boyfriend shrimp cocktails so he pointed it out to her. No apology. She removed it from the table then came back with the crab cake. We should've left right there and then. The main orders came; we both ordered surf and turf- MEDIUM. Both steaks were undercooked and the lobster was so over cooked and inedible. We did not eat the meal at all- they basically cleared the plates without acknowledging that we didn't touch the meat. Our lady server wasn't on break but all the sudden we were being waited on by a male server- Ramiro Santos. He was such a breath of fresh air. The food was inedible but atleast his hospitality made us less angry. We later found out the lady servers name- Fatima? Thank you for ruining our Valentine's experience. The best service and highest quality food around. The food here is always such high quality which mirrors the service which is hard to come by nowadays. My personal favorite is the stuffed pork chop w/ veggies. I didn't even know you can stuff a pork chop but apparently you can and this dish is pure heaven. The bread is also to die for. It's a special kind of bread which I'm obsessed with, it's a little dense and that's how I like it! The drinks are all strong and tasty and every server here really knows their stuff, not to mention you can pull up on your boat in the summer which is amazing. Wish I knew about Pier 95 sooner but I'm a lifelong customer now! read more
