Very wonderful first experience! Made an appointment the day before and came in the day of and only waited 5 minutes which was pretty nice, there aren't too many ladies inside so I didn't mind waiting. Got a pedicure with a new color I don't usually go for, ladies are very friendly and welcoming, and of course the man that was working was also friendly. Pedicure was $30 which is a fair price and the pedicure was done under an hour which I appreciate! Will be coming back! Thank you Kimmy!

I have been on the search for a high quality nail place with reasonable prices and I have found it at Galaxy! After moving to EP a year ago i began my search for a great nail salon. Most places chip after a few day, or you walk in the door and there is always a new nail tech, well not at Galaxy! I love the atmosphere and the quality of their work. My dip nails last weeks instead of days!

Started coming here because it is close to my work. I am very happy with their work on my acrylic nails. I showed the tech a photo of the nail art I wanted and it was done 100% the same! The tech even noticed small black lines in the flower which I didn't even see in the reference photo. The attention to detail was great! Also they have a discount if you pay with cash.

Annie gave me quite literally the best set of nails I've ever had! I love them and so glad I randomly chose Galaxy while in Oak park! I'd drive from Wicker every two weeks just to get them done here!

I've had terrible experience with manicures at other nail salons, and was starting to worry that there weren't any decent ones around. I contacted Long through Yelp to ask if they did dip manicures and he got back to me in minutes! I made an appointment and headed in today. The entire experience was so laid back and calm. In the past I've gotten rushed through the process, and the nail techs seemed annoyed when it took me more than 30 seconds to pick a color, but I didn't feel rushed here at all. Long even remembered my name from making my appointment previous night! The woman who ended up doing my nails was amazing! She took her time dremeling off my old dip manicure, careful not to hit my cuticles or bare nail as nail techs have at other salons. I know dip manicures can take forever, but she never rushed and took her time throughout the whole process. I'm so happy with the results and will definitely be coming back in a few weeks to get another manicure!!

Every time I go in , it's always been a pleasant experience. I am not a "regular " per se , I just don't have time. My daughter and I went in Thursday and the Women my daughter had said to her, I haven't seen you in while!! Made me happy to know they recognized her. Good experience and good atmosphere. read more

Love love love Galaxy Nails! A no-frills nail salon that's affordable and does an amazing job? That's a recipe for the best nail place around. I've been here already a few times before reviewing. I had a great experience every time! The pedicures especially here are out of this world. Some techs take their sweet time and others are more timely - either or, the results are always fabulous and more importantly they last such a long time. If you pay cash, it's $45 and if you use a card it's $47. I don't see that price anywhere else, it's usually $50+. I've also never had an issue with scheduling, they're fairly open often. I'll definitely miss this place once I move away, but if you're in the area I highly recommend going to this nail salon! read more

They are the best around! One week I went somewhere else and regretted it immediately. Kim, Kaylie, Maddie, and Charlie are all terrific techs here! I can usually get in same day when I call ahead. I've been going here for years and my dip nails last 3 weeks as intended. Last time I went here, the dip color didn't turn out what I wanted but Kim and Maddie fixed it for me. That's my only word of caution - dip colors don't always reflect the sample. But Maddie was willing to sample colors for me. read more

Called today out of the blue for an appointment for my daughter to get a no chip. They were able to accommodate me. My daughter was taken as soon as we walked in for the appointment they did a lovely job on her nails. The shop was very clean and all the ladies were very pleasant. Would definitely recommend and would definitely go back. read more

I have been here a couple of times. Both for just a manicure and for a manicure and pedicure. Yes, it is a small space in a strip mall in River Grove next to a smoke shop a couple of vacant properties and a restaurant. That said, the customer service here was always good and I didn't have to wait to long. The affordable prices is one of the main factors drawing me back but the services provided by the people there is over and above price and all good. I recommend. read more

Took an appointment yesterday through yelp which was super easy and they responded really quickly. I took an appointment for today 2pm which was confirmed through Yelp messages. I arrive at 2pm for my appointment and he tells me to pick my colors and have a seat. I do so and had a seat for 50 min! They left me sitting without saying a word for 50 min. When I was just about to get up to leave, they sat me down for my pedicure and left my feet soaking in water for 10 min. Never going up, definitely lost a potential regular client. Was looking forward to this place after moving to the area and saw all the good reviews. That was a bad first experience and would never return. read more

Just got my eyebrows done and the experience was beautiful! Asked for wax and that's what I got. No half wax half pluck here. Showed her a picture of how my eyebrows were done before and it was duplicated exactly. Why can't everyone do that. Just a little razor blaze at the end, though I am not a fan of that.... I look too cute and my face is not irritated. She was very gentle handling my face and very polite. I will be back! Especially since they are open late during the week and open on weekends. I recently moved to the area and was looking for a new nail salon. I messaged the salon for an appointment and received a reply within minutes. I was able to get in right away. The salon is clean and the staff is friendly and talented. I showed Long a picture of the design I wanted and he executed it flawlessly. I have never had a no-chip manicure last me for over a month without visible chips and without the shine fading. I strongly recommend Galaxy Nail and I am excited to return! read more

Very odd experience on the phone, never had a business act so dismissive and rude to me…read more I live within walking distance, and was looking for somewhere to go repeatedly. I asked for the underlayer of my hair 1 color (black). I mentioned I do part of my hair an unnatural color myself. the man on the phone said they don't do colors like that. That's fine, I do it myself, I started asking if he can bleach part of my hair ("money pieces" in the front), and he quickly, in a rude tone said "you know what, this isn't going to work out" and hung up lol! So they can't bleach hair? What i was requesting was normal colors, black and bleach. Maybe he's scared/offended by people with unnatural hair color? So crazy for a hairdresser If they didn't have time to do it, I would have liked to discuss having the appointment later, or if he didn't understand, I could have explained more. He literally hung up on me and didn't let me respond. such a weird confusing interaction. I was polite and looking for a neighborhood place to go 2 minutes walking distance from me. I wonder if it was the owner or someone else that lost a potential client literally living steps away from them

I showed a reference photo of the exact design, color, and nail shape I wanted, but the final result looked very different from what I requested. The shape was uneven, the color did not match the reference, and the design details were not executed well. I understand that inspiration photos may not always turn out exactly the same, but this set missed the mark in several ways. Another part of the appointment that made the experience uncomfortable was the overall conversation during the service. The technician spent much of the time talking about very sad and angry situations happening in her personal life. While I understand that everyone has difficult moments, a nail appointment is usually a place people go to relax and de-stress. Listening to a lot of negative personal issues throughout the service made the atmosphere feel heavy rather than relaxing. Between the disappointing nail execution and the overall environment, I left feeling very unhappy with the experience. I hope Level Nail Bar takes feedback seriously and focuses on both the quality of the work and creating a more positive, relaxing experience for clients.

First time here, Long did my nails and he was amazing! I walked in showed him pictures and explained what I wanted and he listened and did exactly what I wanted. (The lilac nails) and Nancy did my moms nails, my mom wanted something very natural and she did just that. I suggest this place 1000%! They are extremely friendly as well! I am in LOVE with this place. I recently moved to the area and wanted to find a nail salon near me and decided to give this place a try. The workers are amazing and super nice. They take their time and do not rush you. The place is very clean and I felt welcomed. I found my new go to place. If i could I woukd give this place 10 stars. read more

Best no chip I've ever had! Lasts up to three weeks. Their deluxe spa pedicure is completely worthy regardless of the additional few dollars. You wind up feeling extremely revived with super delicate skin. They have a large collection of no chip colors. Their friendly attitude and extraordinary services have kept me coming back. read more

LOVE, LOVE ABSOLUTELY LOVE this place!!! For the longest I've struggled with finding a nail tech to file my nails to a great shape that compromises my fingers, and that actually listen to how you want them done. I love this place. It is better any nail salon in downtown and in the city. They are very friendly and helpful. They always offer you to help pick up colors. The salon is clean. They have a lot of no chip colors. My toes and nails look great. Definitely I'll be back. Strongly recommend it. read more

I drove past this place for over a year going and coming from work. Was going all the way to Lombard, decided to go in one stormy Friday and it was the best mani and pedi if had in a long while even with the power out to half the shop. I have returned and had the same great experience. read more

I have been coming here for couple of years now...refuse to go anywhere else. All the nail techs do a wonderful job. Atmosphere is friendly and the business very clean. I live walking distance from here which makes it so convenient. I hate the thought of moving from River Grove. read more
