I had been to this location before for manicures. they were ok. tried them for a pedicure and would not recommend this location. I visited Cici's several weeks ago for a pedicure. It was a decent pedicure, not great, not awful. The technician seemed rushed, and she didn't want to accommodate my requests. I thought I'd go back again, and ask for a different nail technician. I phoned to make I make an appointment for 11:00 am and was asked to sit and wait. As I waited, I noticed that all the techs has just started with their clients, or were taking people who had walked in just before me. The two women who were accommodated first did not have appointments as I heard them ask the manager if they had time for mani/pedis. While i waited, I was looking around the salon and noticed that it was quite dirty. The floor was filthy, looking as if it hadn't been washed in months, there were soiled towels strewn around, and the space looked dirty in general. I waited until 11:15 am, and then looked on yelp.com to see if there was a salon which could accommodate me right away. I made a phone call, found a salon which said they could take me at 11:30 am. I'm writing this after my pedicure. The gentleman who took care of me did a splendid job, and for less money than CiCi's! In fact, even with a $10.00 tip, the pedicure was still less than the same service at CiCi's. And the salon was spotless! read more

UPDATE 5/11/23: my finger is now infected from a cut in my cuticle. This is the only nail salon by me and they are always busy. I don't know why. They are not that great. I called them on a Thursday morning and all I wanted was to remove my no chip polish and get a regular manicure. I asked if I needed an appointment. They said to come by around 3pm. I got there right at 3pm and I still needed to wait 30 min. They finally called me over and the lady did not soak off my no chip. Instead she shaved them down with the buffer machine. My nails are now paper thin. Not to mention she didn't even get all of the no chip polish off the way she was doing it. She hacked at my cuticles with the cuticle clipper. I wanted to just get out of there so I opted for no polish. All of that, and I was charged $25. I will never go back to this salon even if it's just down the street for me. I would much rather drive in this crazy Chicago traffic to a salon that will properly take care of my nails, than walk less than a block to this nail salon. read more

My friends no-chip and my dip manicure lasted 4 days before chipping and cracking. The tech told me it should last at least 2 weeks and it's already cracked on multiple nails. I didn't receive any cuticle care except pushing them down (without oil) and drilling it off. No hand massage and tech wasn't wearing mask during pedicure even though signs say employees must wear masks. The dip manicure turned out a little bit off (wider on sides than my nail goes). It was a disappointing experience. Maybe it was an off day but we probably will not return. read more

Me and my wife have been coming here regularly every 2 weeks she gets a manicure/pedicure and I get a pedicure. we were very surprise today my pedicure was not enjoyable at all my nail tech got an attitude when we asked to use the foot scrapper on my feet and cut my nails way too short and my wife's regular technician refused to use the scrapper on her feet telling her she did not need it, we will definitely be looking for another place to go to. read more

I went on a Sunday after 4 pm and they closed at 6pm. Expect to get there early if you want good customer service and to avoid a shotty job. I wanted to get a set and a pedicure that day. They told me they only had time for a manicure. I did not like that I was getting my manicure done while receiving my pedicure. Also I had checked the website for prices and when I was going to pay they had a different price for the set. Totally unprofessional because all they did was show me the brochure with the price of the set and it was scratched out with a pen and next to it a new price. How do I know they didn't change the price then and there because they were mad they had to stay past 6. Also not to mention my sister went back two weeks later because one of her nails from the set she got that day broke. They charged her $40 to replace it and to FIX the set because when she came with me that day they also rushed on her and it was a shotty job. Not fair that she pays for a set and on top of that pays more later because the first person that worked on her nails didn't do it right the first time. Doesnt make sense. I came here last min because it's my birthday and it was the closest one that always took walk ins. It was an emergency bc a few of my nails broke . The whole time I pointed out several times about the mistakes and she made and would just get frustrated and have to nerve to try and charge me $70. I told her despite how long it took I was NOT satisfied with this and I told her if I can get my change back and they REFUSED!! I will NEVER come back even if it was the last place on earth not to mention the place was literally flooding because they forgot to turn off the water during a lady's pedicure. Would not recommend unless you want a mediocre job. Walked in without an appointment and waited about 30-45 minutes. Ask for a regular polish pedicure. My feet were soaked about 3 minutes before the attendant started working on my feet. The service was rushed. The Polish was sloppily and unevenly applied. None of my toe nails have the same shape or size. Paid $28 and I could have done a better job at home. Only positive was the lady was pleasant. There was only 2 clients yet I still had to wait about an hour, I wanted a simple espresso French tip on acrylics. the lady I was with cut every single one of my cuticles so badly that they all bled. then she proceeded to add alcohol to the wounds. then she charged $15 PER nail for a simple design and she didn't even give me an expresso French tip. she also varied the sizes of my nails i wanted strictly square but had both square and coffin. the nails fell off after 2 days. terrible. read more

I just moved to this area less than a year ago and Cici nails is a convenient location for me. I've been here about 10+ times. Staff is friendly and prices are reasonable. The salon is fairly clean, but not impressive. Staff is very busy therefore don't expect your hand massage or lotion rub after your mani. I've noticed that they don't do a very good job with nails or pedi when the salon is overly busy. If you point out any errors they suddenly don't understand english or become hard of hearing. Basically, they want to be done with you and move on to the next customer. I prefer a salon that gives its customers more attention to your request. So if I come back here, don't expect a nice tip with your mediocre work. read more

I went here a month again and loved the service. Second time around, the color of my no chip started changing colors, so I went back an hour later. They put a color on top of my color to fix the issue, which I should have known was not a good idea. I called the next morning and told them that I was not happy with my nails because the color was still changing, and that you could see the other color underneath. I came in, the took the color off, which took FOREVER because they had it layered on. I sat for 40 minutes while multiple technicians were sitting around doing nothing, and finally got taken care of 5 minutes to closing. I guess that's how they treat people who are not happy with their nails. Never again. The only reason I threw in an extra star was because Stephanie did my nails at closing time, was kind, and did a great job. Either way, I won't be back. read more

I had a pedicure at this salon three days ago, and one toe is still sore. The nail tech was an older Asian woman who spoke very little English, but there should be no misunderstanding that there is no one who wants their cuticle filed along with the nail on the next toe. My toenails were cut unevenly, and the polish was carelessly and unevenly applied. I don't think I have ever had a professional pedicure this bad. I do think the salon is very clean, and the instruments are sterile in clean packs. That said, they need more professional and experienced nail technicians who are able to do a better job. I was looking for a new nail salon place to try and came across this one. First off, it's fairly new, clean, and chic inside. I enjoyed the free parking lot in the back of the building. The process of check-in is simple with an iPad at the front desk. Now I did arrive as a walk-in with out an appointment & ended up waiting about 40 minutes or so before someone was able to help me. Another thing to note is that I was not given direction about color selection right away and to someone new, it would be hard to take initiative to know exactly what to do upon arrival. Lastly, the nail technicians that did my nails did overall a decent job. The only thing is that I wanted more of an almond shape but ended up liking how my nails turned out regardless. Honestly, one of the best nail salons I have been to in Chicago. The staff is awesome and they are very attentive. It is a neighborhood spot so they get to know the regulars, which I love. Their prices are also very reasonable and the place is very clean. They use a plastic cover on the basin every time you get a pedicure. I usually go in there for a pedi/ and no chip mani.
