Summer fun nails by May! When life gives you lemons, make the most of it! Clean place, friendly staff!
I have been getting my nails done at Nail Tech 8 for over 10 years. The service is always great, very clean and friendly. They have great selection of services and nail colors. They always check and make sure I am happy with the color or design. I usually get pedicure with no chip color and full set gel manicure with no chip color as well. I always call ahead and make an appointment to avoid waiting. With the COVID I really missed there service. Now that, they are back and opened, they fallow all the necessary guidelines. Every time I go, I get my own meni/pedi set, that includes all the supplies they used while working on my nails. Each customer gets their own. I also got my eyelash extensions done which looked beautiful. It was done with precession and expertise. I really can't say enough how great this place is.
Tracy does awesome pedicures and Kenny is good with gel nails. The owner is very nice one thing I wouldn't recommend is going to the older lady she doesn't shape the nails nicely and does not listen to what the customer wants she just does her own thing. Other then that this place is awesome. It's clean and the pedis are awesome.
The place was clean and the woman who did my nails was nice, but she picked at my skin and caused a bit of bleeding, and the dip has chipped on 3 nails and split in half on one nail not even a week later. They were done and a Friday and by Wednesday it was cracked off in half. I've never had a dip manicure get ruined so quickly.
I had a wonderful visit at Nail Tech 8 last week. I went in for a no chip manicure and a NuSkin pedicure. I had a medical procedure done a week prior have been unable to maintain my feet for a while. The woman who took worked on me today (Mandy) was incredibly patient with some of the muscle control issues I was having and did an amazing job, especially on with my pedicure. It has been over a week and both my manicure and pedicure have held up beautifully.
Decided to do no chip mani and pedi at this place since I have an event this weekend. The employee that did my pedicure did a great job, but then she switched with another person. This other employee started doing my nails in a hurry since more people came and it was an hour before closing, which I get and have no complaint about. My nails seemed to look fine when she was done, but I really saw the botched nail once I got outside since I was trying to move fast out of their way for the next client. This is definitely frustrating since I don't do acrylic nails often. Make sure to really check your nails before leaving the place.
Yelped for a good nail spot around the area and found a 4 Star place with many reviews. I was so excited to try this place out as it's been rare for me to find a nail spot with 4 star reviews. I went in on a Thursday afternoon as a walk in since I literally did a Yelp search for around the area. When I first entered, there was that 10 second awkward silence that I didn't know what to do. One of the nail technician asked what I wanted, which was a pedicure. She said the typical line, "Pick a color." And so I did. 5 minutes pass by. 10 minutes pass by. 15 minutes pass by, and I am wondering, when am I going to get my service? I look around the workers to see if they'll be done soon. That was my sign to leave right there. All of them were in the middle of service, which most of them were gel nails. I patiently wait another 5 minutes. So after 20 minute mark, they sit me on a massaging chair, "thank God! I'm going to get my service soon." NOPE. I waited another 15 minutes on the chair. So from walking in to someone coming to provide me a pedicure, it took 35 minutes. I wish I had a heads up on how long it was going to take. The lady could've said it's going to be at least 30 minute wait. Or ask me if I can come back later. The pedicure service was good. I see why this place has 4 stars. However, at that point, I was so frustrated with 35 minute wait, which I could've been doing something else. Had she given me a heads up how long I had to wait, I would've made an appointment at a later time after running errands. I went in thinking it typically takes 45 minutes for a pedicure. I spent well over an hour for my pedicure service. If you're going to this place, take my advice. Make an appointment.
Very professional and relaxing, yet playful environment! I will definitely come back. The ladies wear matching pink tops that were so cute! Just moved from Georgia and searched nail salons and the reviews led me to try this place out. Walked in on Sunday and was seated instantly. I had dip powder/SNS on my nails and they patiently took it off (very difficult to take off). I got a no chip manicure for $30 and it looks great! Kenny was precise and did a wonderful job on my real nails!
By far the best nail salon! Moved from Cali to Chicago and have not been able to find a permanent nail tech until today. Hannah is AMAZING! Will be coming back for my fill.
After finally choosing to change nail salons.. I made the right choice. My nails grew out and I needed a fill so I came here. First impressions it looks like a overall very clean laid back place. They had music playing on the tv which I found pretty enjoyable. I picked out my nail color and asked the price of the fill because I was new to the nail salon. The prices were pretty fair with my two broken fingers. My nail tech (forgot to get a name) which was male did such a great job with my nails. This is for my nail people who are really picky with detailed work. He really took his time to not only fix my old badly shaped "coffin" nails and made them look so much better than before. I could tell he really didn't do a rushed job because he took his time making sure the sides where clean and painted as well. This is something my other frequent salon failed at. I was very happy with my experience here. Would recommend this to any people who are specific with there nails. Relaxing, precise, detailed work.
I've been shopping for a new nail salon since my girl left my old place. FOUND IT! I've been going to Lana - and she does an amazing job! Let the pictures speak for her work.

Really enjoyed my experience at Nail Tech 8! It was clean, everyone was nice and helpful, and I love the end result. Price is fair. Also don't mind my cuticles because I asked for them not the be cut. Overall highly recommend! read more

I have been coming here every couple of months for the last two years. I started a frequent customer loyalty "punch" card when I first started coming. I don't always remember to get punches and only got it completed the last time I came in, about 2 months ago. I came in today and got a mani/pedi as usual. (I get no polish on my nails, only buffed) Not only did they NOT accept my loyalty reward punch card and give me 10% off, but they charged me an additional $3 for buffing my nails (which they have never done before AND is not listed on their services price sheet on their website). They said they would not accept the loyalty card because it was "too old" even though there is no expiration date and they never commented on how old it was just two months ago. Looks like I'll be finding a new place... read more

I called prior to coming here requesting prices I was told 40 for an acrylic with a gel topcoat which is what I wanted. I arrive and they were pretty prompt about getting me started on my full set. I ended up with a nicked cuticle on my thumb that clearly bled and she kept going over, a bumpy topcoat, crooked ass pointer middle and middle finger on both hands, and charged incorrectly for my full set because they heard me wrong and the weakest pedicure I ever had in my life. I called requesting a specific service and made an appointment for that and verified prior to starting on my nails I wanted acrylic with the gel topcoat bc it was in my budget but somewhere I was misunderstood that I wanted gel powder with gel nails???? I could've done my pedi myself and save me money- barely even scrubbed my feet- not exaggerating at all. I rarely if ever will give a place a bad review and will also give them a second chance to redeem themself; the sad part is that I've been here in the past because my best friend loves it and I was let down then and I've been let down now. The only bright side was that I didn't have to wait too long and they had my favorite china glaze polish, "purple panic". read more
Everyone is very friendly here. For a Chicago location it's a rare occasion. :) Chris removed my old full set and did a great no chip manicure for me. She ended it with a massage which was a cherry in top of the great job she did. Recommend this location no doubt! read more

Loved my experience today at Nail Tech 8! It was my first time getting a no chip manicure. We called in advance to schedule an appointment. The receptionist on the phone was very friendly. The salon looked pretty busy, but they were able to schedule us "last minute". When I walked in I was greeted, they asked me if I have an app scheduled and they asked me to pick a color. OMG btw they have a huge selection of different different colors. My manicurist, I think her name was Lana, was amazing. Very friendly, helped me pick colors for the design that I wanted, gave some advice on my nails. I loved the job that she has done! Overall great experience and will definitely return again! read more

Right away, the shop was clean, beautiful, organized, and staff was more than courteous. I was helped right away and, although it was busy, I could see that the shop was running like clockwork. No one was shy in aiding to direct me to the polishes, pedi chair, mani table, etc., and all done very accommodatingly. I loved the organization of the polish samples and the multiples of them (so multiple incoming customers could browse simultaneously at their leisure) - Ha! Funny how such simple consideration for customer care can be so overlooked in other places that it becomes glaringly noticeable; nonetheless very refreshing and appreciated. All the work (pedi, acrylic fill-in and gel polish) was done exceptionally well and with much consideration to the customer. I asked for a very difficult "fade" which I could not seem to describe accurately upon arrival, which turned out to be a very specific and technically difficult ombré which my technician had absolutely no hesitation in creating for me. Turns out the tech who did my no-chip, who had also greeted me at the door, aided other staff, and catered to a bridal party while answering calls and handling the front desk, was none-other than the owner, Hanna, who did it all with ease and not even one drop of sweat or hint of frustration. She completely my very technically difficult mani and made it look so effortless that I could almost find it unbelievable that most shops will refuse to do this mani for the simple inability of their techs- but I do believe it, because I've been turned down before for similar requests. Hanna is very talented and a gracious host to all her customers. All the staff were very capable and welcoming. Service was very exceptional. The shop was clean, organized, and modern stylized, plus prices were very averaged priced. This must be why the shop was busy, and I'd imagine the shop stays busy because the staff accommodated the traffic with ease. Most of all I appreciate the amount of work, skill, and patience provided to me on my visit. The lady waiting after me said she drives 40 mins just to come to this nail salon. I can agree with that decision. Definitely found my new regular nail spot. read more

The problem I have is with my cuticles. They did no cuticle work that is expected with a manicure. When you spend $45 for a dip manicure you expect your cuticles to get the attention they deserve. The tech said they didn't soak my cuticles because of the way the dip manicure works, but since I got a pedi beforehand they could of soaked my cuticles early so my hands would be dry for the dip. Because they didn't do any cuticle work when my cuticles were pushed back after they applied the powder polish my nails look ratchet as soon as I got them. I won't be coming back. read more

I picked this place based on their reviews and they did not disappoint! I was nervous coming in here because we arrived at 6:40 and they technically close at 7:30 on their sign. The lady that did my no-chip manicure was so detailed and kind. She took her time with every single step and my nails are beautiful! I don't think I've had anybody do my nails so patiently, and make me feel like I was her only customer of the day rather than one of the last ones at the end of the day. Unfortunately, I live far away from here but whenever I'm out this way visiting my sister I'll be sure to come back. They do not disappoint! read more

OMG!!! I can go on forever....This place is just Awesome!!! As soon as you walk in you are greeted and asked to pick a color. Pick a color? Be prepared, because they have a vast selection of colors. Very friendly staff and most of all very clean. Everything they use is Sterilized. They make you feel right at home. I found this place by accident one day and haven't gone to another salon since. Mind you that I live in Oakbrook Il. and there are many salons in that area but none that can compare. I'd rather take the 30 min. plus drive to them and feel completely satisfied and pampered with their service. I go every 2 weeks for No Chip/Pedi. Hannah always has new colors and different design ideas. I get tons of compliments on my nails. This place is Highly recommended. I promise you will not go wrong with them. Ohhhh I almost forgot.....Who can go wrong with a complimentary glass of wine or champagne. Like I said... great place great people... read more

I recommend this place to everyone! Great service, great selection of colors, very clean. Pedicures are amazing. Nail chip lasts you weeks unlike many other places. People may think pricing is expensive but what you pay for is what you get. It is worth every penny you spend here! read more

I walked in and was able to sit down right away. Best pedicure that I've had in awhile. It was so relaxing and she took her time to make sure my toes were perfect! I also got a fill in with a no chip manicure and Lee was so meticulous that I don't think my nails have ever looked this good before. And it smelled amazing as soon as I walked in, which isn't typical for a nail salon. They do mink eyelashes as well so I'm excited to try them out for that as well! read more
