Went in on Sunday for a manicure and pedicure and had a great experience. It was quite relaxing and the ladies there were very professional. I enjoyed going there and might just have to make it my new nail salon! Great job! read more

What is the point of an appointment if you still have to wait 1.5hrs? While you wait, they are taking walk ins. Unbelievable. And all they can say is sorry. Been coming here for years and now they just lost 2 customers. read more

I absolutely love my nail shop. I have been going here for about 6 years and never leave unhappy. These guys always perform wonders on my nails. You should have seen my nails before I walked in yesterday and walked out a brand new person. read more

If you come here prepare to be made to feel as if they're doing you a favor, as if you're not a paying customer(but you are!). The customer is always wrong here, even if they're not. I'm back from what was suppose to be a mani/pedi appointment(that I scheduled and was confirmed). Halfway through my mani the nail tech notifies me to come back tomorrow, that they can't take me today-"they busy" was the exact wording. 1. I got a babysitter. 2. I scheduled it 3. I fly out on a trip and can't come back tomorrow. I tell the nail tech I really can't come back, to which she tells me to wait(doesn't tell me how long or anything). Well, fast forward 1.5hrs wait someone finally gets to my chair. At this point I'm exhausted and tell the tech I only want a polish change and need to get out. When I go up to pay I'm quite surprised Hanna still charges me $15 for that polish change. Even after a 1.5hr wait for an appointment that I booked she tells me they "squeezed me in" and that I should be thankful. That her tech did the work and deserves to be paid. Basically my time as a customer is not valuable, I'm wrong because I'm not thankful that I waited that long and was serviced. I'm a small business owner myself, we charge less dollar value for services and Hanna tells me this is just how it is for small service businesses. Actually no, it's not, whenever my employees screw up I make sure the customer leaves happy and I fess up to the screw up, I sincerely apologize, do not make the customer pay and move forward and make sure this doesn't happen again. Unfortunately this will happen again here, I'm certain of it. The only one that will suffer is the customer- always. Zero consistency, zero respect for the customer nor the customers time. Getting my nails done isn't a cheap service and customers shouldn't be treated this way. Won't be back. read more

I have never had a bad experience here. The techs always do a fantastic job on my nails and the no-chip does last (as long as you don't have your hands in a lot of stuff constantly). read more

I am shocked at the number of positive reviews at Nail Tech 8. Came in here last week based on all the positive reviews and was extremely disappointed. Don't get me wrong, the ladies here are extremely nice and welcoming. But the quality just was not there. Had a $35 mani pedi that was already more money than other locations nearby and was charged an additional $5 because I asked for a glitter top coat that was just put on sloppily. There was no protective base coat either. To top it off, the pedicure was a mess and now I have an ingrown nail - ouch! And she also cut into my skin on my thumb - double ouch! I even had to pay another nail place to fix the poorly done polish that was already chipping after ONE day! It was a very disappointing experience considering their Yelp score. read more

Totally worth the price. My pedicure was perfect! Everyone was sweet and helpful. Chris worked on my pedicure and really took her time. The regular pedicure was very thorough and included more than other places include for the basic price. They also include an upgraded pedicure with wine! What?! I'm coming back for sure. read more

If you have more than 2 hours to spare for a fill in and pedi then try this spot out BUT if you don't have about 4 hours then keep looking for another spot. I waited an hour to get in a pedi chair then they left me there after the pedi was done for half hour! At the very least they could have left my feet soak.the lady who did my fill in took 18 seconds to apply a CLEAR COAT!!!! I counted that's how frustrated I was ! I won't go there again. Three star because the polish has lasted for 3 weeks. read more

Awesome job on my French pedicure!! They take their time to get the job done right. I like my manicure however I dislike the color. They do not do ombré so I had to "settle" for a regular French tip. It would be 5 stars when they learn how to do OMBRÉ... read more

I was here from 2-6pm. Literally four hours for a mani pedi. The people told me it was just a little while" but I had no idea I'd be spending an entire Saturday waiting. I highly recommend making an appointment if you go here. They herded 4 more people ahead of me. So I was about to walk out when someone sensed i was leaving they seated me promptly at the pedicure aisle. Then I waited ANOTHER 40 minutes. Trick! Soaky wrinkled toes kind of waiting.. On the plus side- the chair massage was nice, the people are generally nice, and the tools they used are peel packed which I assume is sterile to a reasonable degree. Prices are reasonable as well. Major negatives- extremely long wait, the lamp they use for no chip is much too hot; felt like my fingers were burning. And the lady who did my nails filed one of my fingers unevenly. I asked her to file it evenly but she insisted that's how it was shaped because of the shape of my cuticle (uhh..). Overall it's...a place i would come to as a last resort and definitely with an appointment. read more

I come to this salon all the time. Every two weeks to be exact. I never complain except for this time I did a no chip manicure literally started chipping 5 days later. I went to the salon 1 week later ( I didn't have time to go sooner) to ask if they could fix 3 nails that were chipped. They told me I would have to pay 9 dollars to fix them. Even though they should last 2 weeks. I'm sorry but being in the industry of dealing with consumers myself that is so wrong it would've been a easy fix, 5 mins of there time.., well looks like they just lost a good costumer .‍ read more

This salon is very clean BUT super slow! If u make an appointment it means nothing!! U still wait - that's not a very good policy! Waiting for 15 minutes is not an issue but NOT for an hour! One woman works super slow - make sure to block at least 3 hours for her. I'm also not pleased with all the Vietnamese chatter - not cool when u have customers and they have no clue if the talk is about them or not - very uncomfortable! In business in the USA u should speak English in mixed company - if u don't I consider it rude and unprofessional They do nice work but seriously need to realize that you need to be a bit more professional and considerate of your customers - read more

My first time here was a great experience. I arrived around 6:30 with my grandmother asking for a no chip full set and pedicures. We thought they would rush us considering they close at 7:30 but, no they took their detailed time on both of us. They ended up closing around 8:50 to finish everyone but not one person had an attitude with their customers. During the mani and pedi they have brand new sterilized tools for the cuticles and nail cutters, meaning the tools they use is only for you then they throw them away.!! I love my nails and hope they last me awhile!! read more

I've been coming here now for awhile. The salon is beautiful and I love the remodel. The nail techs are all warm and inviting. As soon as you walk through the door you are greeted and helped. They have awesome color choices for both no chip and regular polish. I love trying new designs on my nails and the techs especially Hanh are always willing to try them. The no chip colors definitely last without chipping. I work a lot with my hands and my nails always last til I go to my next appointment. Their pedicure service is amazing and so relaxing. I received a pedicure from Kelly and she did a great job. They definitely know how to make you feel pampered at Nail Tech 8. Prices are reasonable and they also offer a discount card. read more

Amazing! Finally I found a great nail salon. I've had such bad experiences at nail shops lately. So I yelped a nail salon and found this place. First off the place is clean and updated. The staff is wonderful. A huge selection of no chip colors. I got a no chip manicure done and the lady offered me a bottle of water. They take their time when doing nails. She did plenty of coats. It came out great! They also didn't charge me extra to remove my acrylic nails I wanted off. They also serve you wine with certain pedicure service along with hot stone massage for your feet. I can't wait to come back for a pedicure. read more

All the nail technicians are super friendly and professional, but big kudos to Hannah and Lana, they're both awesome! I always get pedis and no chip manicures and they're the longest lasting compared to other nail salons. They also offer private services for birthdays or bridal showers, can't wait to host one of those...just because! read more

Very clean in here. The ladies are nice. Prices are average as anywhere else. The ladies took their time on my feet I appreciate them not rushing to finish me and get to the next person. I LOVE this place and wish I had discovered them sooner! The techs are always very friendly and my no-chips last way longer here than anywhere else I've gotten them done in the area. The last time I was in, the ladies stayed late for me and never once made me feel like I was burdening or inconveniencing them. The environment is clean and warm, they have a great music and color selection, and the hand and foot/leg massages during manis/pedis are amaaaazing! Highly recommend. read more

One of the better places in the neighborhood for nails. The guy that did my nails was very professional, courteous, and detail oriented. The salon in it of the self is very clean, and all of the tools that they use are sterilized and package; the technician wears gloves also. The prices are reasonable compared other salons in the area; and the services is better; you don't feel like they are rushing just to get to the next customer. My first visit to Nail Tech 8 was enjoyable, the staff are welcoming and all acknowledged me kindly. The wait was kind of long but reasonable considering I went on a Saturday afternoon. My treatment consisted of a mani-pedi combo, 35$ is a good deal to me. The pedi was wonderful and not rushed, the mani was nice too but less pleasant. They topped off their kindness with free water bottle. Overall the experience was enjoyable and I'd go there again read more

I've lived in Chicago for 9 years and have probably gotten my nails done 5 times. I can do everything and even do French manicures on myself. With my profession I was never able to have nail polish so I would never pay to have my nails done. Well a month ago my best friend wanted to get Acrylics. I am 29 and had Acrylics for about 6 months when I was 19 so I said whatever let's go for it. We went on a Tuesday at 5:30. Were taken cared of right away with our appointment. The women did a great job and I loved them for $25. Now, I work in a kitchen but they lasted me a good week until one nail popped off. Probably at a week and a half 3 nails came off. But her nails were good for 3 weeks plus. It's just my profession. I went AGAIN on my Birthday (all but 3 nails came off) for a one more Full set. I showed another girl a picture and she too did a Great job. I REALLY love my nails. My mom paid for my nails and the girl said $35. She did matte polish which she didn't say was extra and did 4 nails with glitter. But the older women did 2 nails with glitter and didn't charge so I was a little upset. But overall, very professional and always give me what I want. I wont have Acrylics much longer but this place does a great job. read more

Was quoted 45 minutes. After an hour and 35 minutes, my friend was ready to go. Waste of time and I ended up not getting my nails done there. My friend got done and had to leave as we had other things to do. I told one of the ladies saying I waited too long and i was leaving. She laughed. Laughed?? That's your response? No apologies. Not cool. Have to go elsewhere tomorrow. read more

I used to come here more than 5 years ago. My neighbor had recommended my mom and I to come back here because they have new owners, and had a full remodel. So me and my mom decided to give it a try. And we are SO HAPPY that we did. This is the absolute cleanest nail salon I've ever been to. The pedicure bowls are beautiful. The floors are amazing. The whole nail salon is just luxurious. All of the their tools are STERILIZED!! All tools used are taken out of serialized packages so each individual person has fresh, clean tools. I've never had anything like that in my life. My mom had sensitive feet and we asked the nail tech to just be a little careful and she was more than accommodating. The best pedicure I've ever had. I will always pay a tad extra for quality work. And this is the place I will pay extra! The nail techs are so nice and make you feel so comfortable. The massage chairs are also a big plus! My mom and I will definitely be returning for all of our nail needs ! read more

Got a no chip a week ago and it started chipping after the second day. I went with a friend to have a manicure and pedicure and we were greeted nicely with one of the employees and didn't have to wait at all to get started. My review is based on the quality of the service provided by the two people who did our nails. The service wasn't detail oriented quality work and one of the tools she was using on my nails which she opened from the sterilized package was rusted and when I asked her to change it , she took another unsterile tool from the drawer to use. I asked her politely if she could get another one in a package but she was not cooperative as wells as happy to change it and went to the back to get another one which didn't look clean as well as not in a sterilized package. Her service was very unfriendly. My friend as well didn't receive a quality detailed work. read more

First time here decided to get a regular manicure for $12. When I was told to pick a color I had to look at a variety of old nail polishes. Most of them were old and discolored . Luckily I found one that looked fairly new. The lady cleaned up my nails and cuticles very well but did not ask me what shape I want for my nails. She shaped my nails round and I told her I didn't want them round. So she filed them more to make them less round and they ended up being a lot shorter. Make sure you tell them what shape you want and be careful with the polish you pick since most are old. read more
