Stopped in for a quick pedicure at 2pm on a Friday afternoon. I called ahead and made an appointment, but it was not very busy when I arrived, so I began immediately. The salon was clean and quiet; I was pleasantly surprised to see that they used a brand new set of tools straight out of the pack. The entire pedicure took about 25-30 minutes and I was quite pleased with the results. I will definitely be returning in the future. read more

I recently moved to this area and was in search of a nearby salon. I trusted the reviews given by others on Yelp and went in for a pedi. I have to say that as soon as I walked in they were so welcoming. The salon is so clean, the chairs are comfortable and the massage is so relaxing. The lady that did my pedi was gentle, meticulous to detail and was so very nice. I have made this my nail salon; I just had a pedi/mani and am very satisfied with their service. Prices are reasonable and most importantly they are very clean. I highly recommend it. read more

This place is great. They do an excellent job, great nails, great eyebrows and everyone is super nice. It takes FOREVER though.

If you're looking for a clean and reasonably placed mani-pedi place near Portage Park, this is a great place to stop in. They have a wide variety of colors and provide the standard set of services -- but they are busy, and so, you should definitely make an appointment if you don't want to be waiting for a while. (They have a good number of people working there but it's not an army and so, make your life easier and make an appointment). In some cases, I think it's a case of what you're paying for -- so, you're not going to get the "free wine/water/tea and massage" service you might get at a Wicker Park or Lincoln Park type establishment but for the price -- that's ok. :) They also have a loyalty program and so, if you come back a certain amount of times, you unlock discounts, which I always think is nice. If you're looking to spend/share an afternoon with your girlfriends and it's an "event" then maybe check out mani-pedi places in Wicker or Lincoln Park -- if you're looking for good value for money in this area, Nail Tech 8 = great option. read more

This place is awesome! Everyone in here is so friendly. I called to place 5 p.m appointment about 4 hours ahead of time. I arrived around 4:30 and the place quickly started filling up. The decor of this nail salon is very impressive and everything looks so clean. If you've walked into a nail salon and there has been dust over the seats and arm chairs, then you'll know why I appreciate a clean nail salon. Around 4:58, I was taken to the chair to receive a pedicure. I love that they don't do the pedicure and manicure at the same time, that way you can actually enjoy your pedicure. The young man that serviced me did an excellent job. He didn't talk very much but that's okay with me. But please be warned: they do not honor any of the promotions on their website. I will be back every week. read more

Went here 3 weeks ago and to this day my no chip manicure is still looking fresh, minus the part where it shows how long my nails have grown! But either way first experience where I did not peel off my no chip!!! Awesome place! read more

Don't go here for your eyebrows. I had really great experiences the first two times but today I went in to get my eyebrows done and the young woman who did my eyebrows completely messed them up. After letting them grow for 5 months and telling her I didn't want them thin she makes my right eyebrow thinner than the right and took off a part of my eyebrow off leaving me with a slash on my eyebrow. Extremely disappointed. Now to let them grow a couple more months and will definitely not come back here. read more

I went in for the first time on a Thursday morning... I was seen immediately. I got a no chip mani and pedi. Lots of colors to choose from... Everyone is extremely friendly. I really like when they take their time doing my nails and I don't feel like they are rushing, so that was really nice. I was offered a bottle of water. The place appears clean. Definitely a plus! read more

All the employees at the salon are courteous, friendly and do a wonderful job on all nails. The facility is very clean and well maintained. A big shout out to Mandy, Lana, Kristi and Ken. There are a few more employees but I do not know their names. We always are treated well and have a great time while getting our nails done. If you want great service give them a call. You won't be disappointed. read more

I absolutely reccomend this place! I got a no chip manicure with Joyce and it lasted three weeks even though I was gardening and going to the beach! I was extremely impressed (especially since my first experience with the no chip at a different place was terrible). Everyone there is really friendly and when I brought my three year old, one of the ladies was nice enough to put on a movie for her! Love it! read more

I love coming here! The place is incredibly clean and comfortable and they are meticulous! I always leave as a very satisfied customer, and their no chips last forever (3+ weeks compared to 1 or 2 at other places)! read more

Very nice and clean place. Prices are normal. All the employees are very polite. There is complementary candy for kids and cold drink for ladies. I think I finally found a nail salon that's worth coming back to. read more

I tried this place for the first time a couple weeks ago and I've already booked myself another appointment. I always get gel nails and a pedi, the service was friendly and my nails looked so good. The color selection is really great. There is definitely a wait. Some people here complained that it took too long, but I didn't mind spending the extra 20 minutes than normal since I really loved the results. read more

This place always has fresh new colors to choose from and does an excellent job every time with all services offered. I highly recommend!!!

Went here for my first time and was impressed with the No chip! I got a pedi/no chip from two different people. The lady who was doing the pedicure was rushing and it looked like she wasn't having a good day so maybe thats why my pedi only lasted me a week....The man who did my no chip was awesome! His name was Milce and he took his time and perfected my nails. I got a French no chip and its been 2 weeks and it hasn't chipped or anything! I have never had a French no chip that lasted me more than 5 days....Definitely coming back and asking for Milce. read more

So I've been here before. They're were good. I just don't like they're customer service. So on Sunday's you have to make an appointment! Where's the sign that's says that? When clearly on the window it states "Walk-in, welcome" but I had to make an appointment! I wanted half an hour that way I didn't have to wait. Clearly it's my last time that I'll be going there. read more

I went in for a mani and pedi without an appointment, I would recommend making an appointment to avoid a long wait time. The service was good and I especially liked knowing the tools used were sterilized. read more

Went here looking for a new place to get a dip manicure after moving. Got a pedicure first, everything was clean and done nicely. Picked out the same color for my fingers as my toes. The nail tech must've pulled the wrong color because it was darker and pretty much a different color than my toes. I dealt with it because I didn't mind the color, but it wasn't what I had asked for. When I got them done, everything seemed fine and I really loved them at first. Later that same day, the dip literally started chipping. After 4 days, I kid you not, it looked like they were 4 weeks old with the amount of chipping. Super disappointing. My nails underneath the dip job they did were so thin and damaged, I just had them taken off after a week. They looked so torn on the surface, I had it repainted at a different salon with regular polish. My nails a month later are still so weak that they will bend and break and before this, I could get repeat dips because my nails were so strong. Not to mention the pedi job also chipped fast. Would not recommend!! read more

I read the reviews and expected a terrific experience. I had a no chip manicure and a regular pedicure which cost me $55.00. One person did the mani, another the pedi. My nails looked great when I left. However, within 3 days 2 nails chipped (so much for no chip.). They charge extra for OPI products which I have never seen done before. Not one person spoke to me and the techs all speak in a foreign language to each other. I felt like a piece of meat. Nice to pay to be ignored. They really could work on their customer service. The location is great for me but I won't return. read more

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I didn't even let them finish, I've never been so disrepected!!

This place is absolutely AMAZING! First of all, it's super clean; secondly, their staff is very friendly and welcoming; finally, they know what they're doing. Lots of new colors and cool designs.Thank you, Hannah, you did a great job!!! read more

Hanna is the best! I love this place!

Great pedicure and manicure for the price! Super clean and the staff is very friendly.

I like this place alot. Me and my friend got a pedicures and waxes here, and My friend's pedi looked amazing. And I'm very particular. My pedi was good too, but she cut me once. But, hey, people makes mistake. Our wax person was Joyce, and my friend had her for pedicure. She did a really good job. We will come back, definitely, to see Joyce and her team. Great service. read more

New to the area and popped in last week after looking around on yelp. Very good service, attentive and professional. There was a little issue because the person who did my pedicure didn't let me know that she wasn't the one that was going to do my no-chip manicure and I felt like I was waiting for quite some time but then realized it was a misunderstanding. The person who did do my nails did a great job and I will definitely be back! Very clean and nice friendly staff. You can also make an appointment ahead of time which is a good idea as they can get busy. Easy parking since they have a lot! read more

This place is really nice i came all the way from by Austin just to come here. They are very clean and sanitized everything, which made me pleased. When I got there I had already made an appointment and they were on top of it. The nice color selection is a lot and they are organized in a nice manner. The people there are respectful and quiet. Nobody gave attitude. I ask for lee cause she does nails the best and knows how to paint correctly. Once I was done I sat down to dry it and after 10 mins she came and put my top coat on. They may be a little pricey but they do an excellent job for acrylic y'all need to go here read more

What a great find! They think of everything here. They had a stylus pen for me to use while my old no chip manicure soaked to be removed while the gentlemen gave me an excellent pedicure. They also had a little heater for my feet while my toes dried! The tech who did my no chip was a true professional and did an amazing job. This will be my regular place from now on! read more

This place was AMAZING!!!! Totally the best nail salon I've been to! All the people were wonderful and free champagne with our pedi!

I love this place & the owner! She's great & her husband is so nice. I went a month ago, skeptical first time in here, but made an appointment because I know what a nail salon is like on the weekends! Chaos! Anways I walked in & was greeted immediately. Picked my color & expected to wait. I was put in my pedi chair in about 5 min. Awesome! Pedi I had was pleasant. The guy did a good job. Mani was good too. Second time was the big winner. I scheduled with the owner specially cause she so nice! I swear she changed my whole outlook on what a pedi/no chip mani is. I love her!!! She has amazing talent & is a truly awesome hard worker. I been to nail shops all over Chicago & I will drive to this place if I ever move away. She took care of me & designed my nails exactly as I wanted them. They have a nice selection of polishes & color changing ones too!! Super clean & great staff. I love the organic scrub she used on my legs & the hot towel treatment. Must try this place!!!! read more

Nail Tech 8 - Week old no chip. I love my nail tech! - Nail Technicians Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

EXTREMELY UPSET..First off. If you check their website for pricing- please do not go thinking that's what you are going to pay. They charge EVERYTHING additional that they can. I came in for a gel fill in w/ a no chip color (usually a cost of $35) I paid $45. Fine whatever!! I left with 7 out of 10 of my fingernails CUT at the cuticle(as an bleeding... VISIBLY) This what upset me the most- not a single apology, lady was obviously not gentle and did not care. I had decided to try something new but I guess I'll stick to my usual spot Legend nails. =( read more

First time. Very nice. Clean. I got a pedi, fill in and no chip for my nails. Good price. They look beautiful

Nails were great and the chairs are nice. Be weary of a wax. I got my eyebrows done and asked for them to be cleaned up, one is very thin. She even pointed out that they were uneven and I needed to grow the other one back in. So guess I won't be getting eyes done there again. Wished she had offered a refund since I had already paid. read more

A friend suggested this place I made an appointment earlier in the day for 5:30pm. Was taken at that time. Place is clean and nice. Lots of choices in colors. My tech Chris (spelling may be off) was courteous and did a good job. Took her time. Even helped me with my shoes off because I had forgotten to undo them before my pedicure and my nails were wet from my manicure. Will come here again. read more

The tech kept getting up from doing my manicure to attend to her child. I finally left after an hour and fifteen minutes with my nails half completed. read more

I'm in love with this place! Upon arrival, it is very clean and relaxed. I went for the first time about a month ago to get acrylics done, and I got Kenny, who did an incredible job. He was extremely attentive to detail in a way no one else has ever been and I was very impressed. I went several days ago to get my acrylics filled in, and I forgot to call ahead and get an appointment with Kenny, so I walked in and sat with Lee. Lee sealed the deal on this salon for me. Typically when you get your acrylics filled, you generally see the line of the old acrylics (anyone that's ever gotten acrylics hopefully will know what I mean). She covered it up so well I was able to do another French manicure without worrying about seeing the line from the old acrylics. I will always return to Kenny and Lee from now on for my acrylics, you can tell these guys really know what they are doing. Thank you for being so amazing! See you in a few weeks! read more

Today my sister and my mother decided to use a gift certificate that I had gotten for them but they were unable to redeem the certificate. I purchased the certificate for them on 7/13/16 but it said it expired on 3/13/16, before we even received the certificate. When my sister and mother went to pay they were told they could not redeem the gift certificate because it had expired. The employee who said she was the manager told them that each gift certificate only lasted six months; however there would be no way to know because they put the wrong date on the gift certificate and nowhere is it stated that this is the policy. The employee/manager then stated that she couldn't accept the gift certificate because "I'd be taking money out of my own pocket". Of course, she overlooked the fact that the gift certificate was already purchased and they have already received their money! Although the nail technicians did a nice job, the terrible customer service and complete lack of an attempt to help my sister and mother to figure this out means they have lost our business for good!! We can never return there nor can we ever recommend this place because of the awful way my family was treated. read more

In my opinion customer service is key to a successful business. I recommend that Nail Tech 8 take a couple courses on customer service. I called to make an appointment, no problem appointment made at 10am. 30 minutes later I get a call that my technician had an appointment that was not in the books and if I can come at 11:30am. I had plans at that time, however appreciated the call back and rearranged my day. I even got a confirmation text! However, almost 2 hours later (close to 9pm) I received yet another call asking if I can now move my appointment to 1:30 because the "neighbor" has an appointment that ...guess what... was also "failed" to be put in the appointment book. First, they should have known about that appointment when they did the 1st call back, which only leads me to believe that they were not being completely honest and doing what they can to accommodate the store owner next to them... dishonesty is one of my pet peeves. What is sad is I don't think that my tech "Lana" was not aware of the situation. With that said - I will be looking for a new place... lucky for me that chicago has an abundance of nail salons to choose from. read more
