I made an appointment to get acrylic nails and a pedicure for prom. I should I known it was going to be bad when I was out of the salon in under a hour. 5 days after getting the acrylics they started to lift and turn crooked. When I went in to ask for them to fix it, the lady who did my nails said my "nails grew fast" and that's why they lifted so fast. I asked her if she could fix them and she said I would have to wait a hour even tho I called ahead, or I had to wait until the next day and the salon would give a discount to just get new nails completely. I then asked if she could just take all the nails off because 2 of them already fell off and she still said I had to wait a hour, even tho I called ahead. DO NOT GO HERE! I went to get a pedicure the lady who was doing it cut my toe cuticle and it could not stop bleeding. I told her she cut me and proceeded to continue doing my pedi. I told her I did not want to continue with the service and kept insisting I still get my toe nails colored after I told her I did not want to. I still had to pay for my service. They will soak your nails for hours while they take care of other clients and not even do that properly, because after you sit for 2 hours your gel will still be completely intact on multiply fingers! I did my nails there last Friday! My non chip funny bunny color was diluted with other solution so they can get more use out of the bottle. The color was not how original nail polisher should look like! The next day my color was chipped! I called the manager and told them about cheating and adding solution to the original bottle! I went to get a fill in today and my usual nail lady was not there(Christine) so I settled for whoever was available. BIG MISTAKE. First off the woman who did my nails (Linda) was in some sort of rush. Mind you it's a Thursday and it was not busy whatsoever. She said so herself "it's like another day off" everything was going fine until it came down to the nail color I wanted. A friend of mine got this nice sheer pink. I asked Linda and she said okay she had a color for me. When she applied it and asked how I liked it I asked if she had a lighter pink and she seemed annoyed and brought back CLEAR nail polish. I proceeded to show her a picture because I didn't think we understood each other and she just nodded and said "yeah" I was EXTREMELY disappointed with the end result of my nails. I had a lot to do after the nail appointment so I just gave up trying to make this woman understand. I paid and left. I never have any problems at this place until today. Not only did she rush to do my nails but she painted them sloppily and then disappeared into the back To go eat I assume. Maybe that's why she was in such a rush and couldn't be bothered to find the pink I asked for. HORRIBLE. I love Christine. She does a wonderful job on my nails and always has a great attitude. My daughter and I have been going for 3 years one Saturday we both had services and the pictured employee could not get the debit machine to work she called the owner over and over but no answer after waiting over 15 minutes to check out I said just restart your modem. Her reply was I don't know how to do that I showed her how to reset it and finally we were able to pay. She gave me a card with her name scribbled in back and said you get a free polish change $10. Today I go in for my free polish change and she refuses to honor it would not even look at me in the face after words back and forth I paid my $10 and told her I would never use this business again and I will also tell my daughter and all her friends. Sometimes it's hit or miss here. When the girl that seems like the owner works on my nails, she's great! She is super talented and paints great nail art free hand. I always get compliments on my nails when they are done by her. However, when it gets busy, I get passed off to someone else and thus the nail art looks different and the overall job looks rushed. This has happened to me twice already. My first mani/pedi with them lasted over a couple weeks, but my most recent one is struggling to last past a couple of days. =/ Other than that, the place is nice and clean. They do great pedis and leg massages here. They aren't too rough with the cuticles nor make you bleed so that's always a plus!! Also, who could pass up a mani/pedi for $35? It's great! I've also taken advantage of Swan Nails' waxing services and they do a great job. For being a neighborhood nail salon, this place is great. It's nice and clean. So I am updating my review after today's visit, I work 6 days a week and was in desperate need for some relaxation and thought a Sunday mani/pedi was a good answer. I called to make an appointment and was told I could come right over. I was greeted as usual in a very friendly manner but unfortunately that's where my visit turns not so good, I don't think I was in the pedicure chair for more than 20 minutes tops. I work in a salon/spa and our regular pedicures are usually 45 minutes to an hour. I felt it was completely rushed and just not the relaxing day off experience I was hoping for. The same woman also gave me my very first no chip manicure, which even though it was my first time getting a no chip I could tell this also was very rushed. Not satisfied with the service or quality I received at Swan Nails. I walked in with a photo of the nail design I was interested in and the lady mentioned how the design was 3D material and she can only accomplish it with nail polish. The design came out to nowhere near what I asked for as it appeared as though a child painted the design. Then, as my mom was checking out, she was short $5. I gave my mom a $10 bill so she can pay what she owed and also tip the technician the difference and I would then provide a tip for both nail technicians when checking out. While checking out, the lady who did my mom's nails (a lady with a short pixie cut) asked for the $5 while insisting the $10 bill was her tip instead, and said "and my tip?" Came for a mani/pedi First it was a hot muggy day they had door open no ac Next the woman who did my pedi was SOOOOO engaged in Vietnamese conversation with another that she didn't even ask if I wanted my nails filed or cut - she cut before I had a chance to even say anything. Pedicure was not relaxing it was super fast - and she cut cuticles in such a way that I have hang nails on my toes!! Manicure was also wham bam fast - in total silence Our nails were peeling and chipping in less than 2 DAYS!! Found everyone not very friendly and the place wasn't all too clean either Just a disappointing experience for me and my mom FIRST AND LAST TIME WILL NOT BE BACK!! I like that nearly all the staff speak English, actually talk to their clients and keep the native tongue back and forth to a minimum (all major irritants in most of these quickie nail shops) . Once in a while I write good reviews but for the first time ever, I have to leave a bad one as a warning. My friends and I agreed that the people who work here are rude. I kept going anyways because of the convenient location. Then when I showed them a picture of what I wanted, they lied and said they had the colors. While they were removing my old no-chip, I realized they do not. I did not have money to do my nails twice and wanted to leave, but they forced me to pay for a removal service. I still had most of the foils on my fingers! And this was supposed to be free. They tried to trick me into getting something I did not want and still wasted my time and money. I used to come here often to get my nails done. This was the only place that I used to go to. However within the last two or three months the quality of the products that they use has been horrible. I have a first-hand witness the nail technician putting some liquid maybe alcohol into a no chip nail polish to get more polish instead of opening a new one. Also when I started to do some research because I do gel nails often I found that if the nail salon uses powder and liquid that it is not considered gel nails so for the past 15 years I have been paying extra for acrylic nails. I asked the owner when I was there a few times if you weeks ago about it and she said no no no and brought out some plastic container with some writing on it that says gel. I didn't feel like arguing so I let it go. However I have been going to a new salon and it's all a scam. read more

I usually go here for my nails. About 5 weeks ago, I got an Axxum OPI no chip manicure. They said it would last 2 weeks, it lasted 3. However, I made the mistake of going to a nail place across from where I work (sorry Christina), because it was close. I had their no chip manicure that was supposed to last 2 weeks. It barely lasted a week. My pedi chair was broken. They didnt move me, they just laughed at the grinding noises it was making. So, Im back to Swan. Rude service. Don't waste your time or money. Made an appointment for 2 manicures at 4pm. Get there early, was told to pick a color and it would be 5 minutes. After 15 minutes they start on my friends mani and said 5 more minutes for mine. After about 30 minutes the lady that was supposed to do my mani sat at a different station and started on someone else totally disregarding me.
