Really unhappy. Just left the salon with a very messy dip job. I would probably do a better job at home and not have to waste $45 and tip to come here. Ive been going to this salon for past two years and i had a great service but the last two times, it was done sloppy and in a rush, even though it wasnt busy at all while I was there. I got this no chip manicure Thursday 6/1 so it's been 5 days. It's already chipped, my cuticles are in desperate need of a cleanup, and I am out $60. This is not the best photo of my nails but the best way to show how terrible of a job this place did with a high price point. I ended up coming here when my go to nail salon closed early due to an incoming snowstorm. I came in here with my 7 year old daughter 45 minutes before they closed and the two ladies that helped us were so friendly (Kathy and Mei). They even had a small pedicure chair for my daughter. I was so impressed that they weren't rushing us and took their time on our nails. Mei didn't even flinch when my daughter asked for rainbow colors on her toes and different colors on her fingers. They did not, at any time, give me a heads up on costs. My daughters' fill in/full set cost $60+. They charged for shaping their nails. They charged to add glitter nail polish...mind you...they never gave the heads up that glitter polish is extra. There are no signs with costs posted. Went in for a mani/pedi had a gift card that I couldnt use because it was the wrong location, its the same company so this makes no sense, and I had used that exact gift card there before and was trying to use the remaining balance, the girl still said no. The woman doing my nails asks me if I want a spa pedicure for $10 more I asked the price she said $45, thinking this was the total for both I decided to treat myself, again this is before I knew they wouldn't take my gift card, and decided why not? I stopped in for a no-chip polish change and manicure ($35). The layout is beautiful and it appears very clean. Looking around at the many TVs, new massage chairs and gigantic polish selection, I began to wonder why I hadn't come in here lately. My last manicure was just over two weeks ago, and I wanted the polish changed before my nails started chipping. My manicurist roughly removed the old polish and began filing my nails with a very rough/heavy grain file. I saw my nail tips SHREDDING. She peeled bits of my real nails off with her fingers like that was a normal part of her day. I asked her to use a gentler file, and while she didn't switch, she did file more gently... I can't say she treated my cuticles any better. (I just had a manicure 2 weeks ago, how much can you cut woman?!?) While I wasn't a fan of the experience, the weirdest part was that she set up the UV nail dryer directly in front of me. Ugh, received a terrible, messy Lee Lux ($20) manicure today. The technician did not remove all of the polish on my nails before painting them, and proceeded to put an iridescent polish on them. You could still see the old polish through it so I asked her to fix them. She just filed the old polish off and did not even buff them. So the nails are just scratched, rough, and ugly. All the old (not gel, regular) polish still isn't off. They looked better before I came in. What a waste. read more

My friend and I came here on a whim because our usual nail place was booked for the evening. We were hoping to get a gel fill and saw that this particular salon offered the service (not all do). So we called ahead and asked if they would be able to take us in about 15-20 minutes and they said yes. We headed on over. When we arrived, it was noticeably busy with all the stations filled and other customers who were already waiting ahead of us. Based on the other Yelp reviews I saw in combination with this observation, I took this as a sign that they are probably a halfway decent nail salon. They clearly had the clientele to keep business rolling! So we added our names to the wait list and after about 10 minutes they asked me and my friend to have a seat at this nail bar/station area. Kinda unique with a display underneath the glass countertop with little flowers, sand and stones. A middle aged gentleman got started on my friend while I sat next to her. He made no indication that someone else would be coming over to work on me at any point in time. I began to realize he was going to be working on both of us. The majority of the time he was distracted, glancing at the TV behind him, greeting and talking to patrons walking in, talking to other technicians, etc. He paid such little attention that as he was sanding off/removing the previous coat of polish from the gel overlays, he left the drill on too long to the point where it was burning the actual nail bed. He did this to both my friend and I at numerous points during the session. We both pulled away and said "ouch!" And he said nothing. No apology or asked if we were alright. Throughout the appointment he was not gentle, ground away at my cuticles which are now cracking and are visibly irritated. He kept going back and forth between my friend and I until finally about halfway through another technician came over to me to finish -- or so I thought. She seemed confused as to where he left off, so just started making it up as she went along. I would mention certain things, like "can you fix this?" and she seemed irritated. Finally after she was finished I looked at the work and was it so awful and incomplete I asked to speak to the manager. I told her my cuticles hadn't been trimmed and they forgot to put a coat of polish on (I did French tips but they only put the white tip on and no pink layer. You could see the outgrowth from previous times I had my nails done). I pointed out that they also hadn't cleaned out underneath the nail and everything looked messy and unprofessional. She was able to fix most of the issues, but as she was working on my nails she would say "Oh, so you like them SHORT", in a tone as if to imply I was making their job more difficult. She then went onto comment "Your skin is really dry" -- umm... thanks? She said this as she was cleaning up my cuticles, to which she added "next time you should get a manicure in addition to the gel fill" and I said the place I usually go to does it automatically, I don't ask for it. I bit my tongue but wanted to add that I wouldn't be coming back to find out. read more

Totally convenient because it's so close to my house. I called, said I could be there in five minutes or so, and the receptionist said they could take me then. I got a no chip manicure and a spa pedicure. The receptionist gave me the basket of no chip color swatches (they have a TON of colors - OPI, Gelish, CND, Essie, etc). I brought the color basket with me to the pedicure chair, and as soon as I put my feet in.. realized I hadn't picked a color for my toes. I picked one from the no chip colors, and asked if she could find something that looked kind of like it - I really didn't care that much! She clearly did not like this, but called the receptionist over and had her do it. She was very rough with my feet, and when she was about halfway done, looked up at me and said "you better pick a no chip color now, I'm almost done and I have no time for this." What?? I will take responsibility for being indecisive - I was kind of enjoying just looking at the colors, plus I didn't realize that I was agitating her. To make matters worse (for her), when we sat down at the nail counter, I said "actually.. Do you think you could just do a French no chip?" She just looked at me, totally flat expression, and said "... Fine." Ouch. I am just not sure what motive she would have for making me feel like such an idiot. She was just downright unkind. The actual paint job is nice, though two nails do have rough edges - when I pointed them out before she painted she said "they will wear down on their own." Overall: receptionist was very nice and sweet. Place was clean, modern looking. I like the fact that they open a new pack of tools just for you for your pedicure. Price was.. okay ($58 for spa pedi and French no chip) - I've paid less, but I've also paid more. All 20 nails LOOK nice, though I have doubts about how long the no chip is going to last. I've been coming here for a few years. I had a disaster with one of my nails, tech dug clipper into it taking off acyclic the wrong way. And yes, it's all acyclic. There is no such thing as "gel powder". I finally found a salon that doesn't bullshit you about gel powder. Gel is actually clear gel. I use to do my own nails. I just don't have the patience for it and don't want to stink up the house with a baby now. Get what you pay for! If you get a gel polish manicure, you are paying extra for gel nails for nothing. Do not come to this salon expecting a clean environment or good service. I've been coming to this salon for at least 13 years and I can tell you, they have really gone down hill! I had an appointment for 10:30 with the owner, Wendy. I was on time. She was almost 20 minutes late, without an apology or a reasonable excuse! She rushed my no chip manicure and didn't even say thank you for my patience or patronage. She has become rude and very unprofessional. The salon is not kept clean and their hand towels are stained/ratty. Sofia, the receptionist, was the best part of my experience here. She was polite and apologetic for her boss's tardiness. Let me also tell you, this was the day before Thanksgiving! I'm not usually one to complain on this site, but I feel the need to save you from having a crappy and expensive experience. Never will I spend another penny in this salon. Wendy, through her sheer rudeness, lost a years long customer for good. I was even willing to put up with some of its uncleanliness because of how long I'd been a customer, but that was the last straw. The no chip also only lasted a week! I don't remember who the technician was that did my nails but she did not pay attention to detail and even skipped exfoliating my feet for the pedicure. This is the day after the manicure and the no chip polish already completely came off my index finger, not to mention the polish was very uneven when she applied it (its very saturated at the tips but thinner at the base).
