Just got a pedicure after too many months. The shop was busy this Saturday morning, but at 1pm, they got me right in. I've been coming here for a few years and am always happy with my pedicures. They are relaxing! They do a leg massage and a wax treatment and hot towels. It's just lovely. Today, I tried the Rose Gold CBD pedicure. Icy the nail tech did a wonderful job with my toes. I went here to get a no chip manicure and pedicure. I also got my eyelashes done for the first time here. I woke up the next day after getting my nails done and I had suffered a really bad allergic reaction and even went to the hospital because my eyes had swallon so bad they were almost closed shut. I went back to the salon to tell them what happened and all Wendy the lady who did my lashes could say was well we use very expensive glue it's about $50 a bottle. My eyes are worth more than your $50. She completely dismissed the situation as if it was nothing. She kept helping other customers and telling me she's going to contact the owner. I'm writing this review as I wait. I've never had a problem all the times I ever come her but today I felt insulted, dismissed and overall taking as a joke. I would not recommend this place. I've gone there several years, I like the punch card deal and prices are good. However...the last time I went will be my last visit there. A young girl, who I never saw before, did my no chip mani/pedi including a soak off of a previous nochip done there. She was SO ROUGH. The pedicure was not enjoyable at all, she was amazingly clueless as to how it would feel to be manhandled like that. But worse...hours after mani/pedi my fingernails began to break. So low that they were bleeding. Within 24 hours EVERY SINGLE NAIL WAS BROKEN. Down below the tip of each finger. Painful. This has never happened to me before, I have very strong nails (normally) and they were nice and long. Such a bummer. My hands look awful, like they NEED A MANICURE. Ironic. Tried to send them an email...they have no email address. I really don't want to have to call to complain, I'd rather send an email...but since that's not an option I'm hoping they see this post and give that young girl some mani/pedi training. I have been coming to J&W Nails for about 3 years now on a fairly regular basis. I am always in a chair pretty quickly even on busy days. They are always fast and do an excellent job. The staff is pleasant and easy to work. They leave me alone to read in the massage chair which is the most relaxing part of my week. J&W has a large variety of services and they always have the latest OPI colors which I love. I usually get my eyebrows waxed as well. I appreciate that their wax is not boiling hot which is usually the case. I've in the past tried the no chip which I'm not a big fan of in general - but they seemed to do a good job it's a popular service. My usual is the basic manicure and pedicure which generally lasts a week on the manicure and two weeks on the pedicure. The salon is large with lots of reading material and always very clean and well kept. There are usually a lot of staff members in place as well. read more

I went in to have my acrylics removed and replaced with a no-chip manicure. I said I wanted to soak off my acrylics and the technician insisted on prying them off. After he removed about 3 of the nails I pulled my hands away and did not let him remove any others that manner. He was pretty aggressive with my nails the rest of the appointment as well. Other than the language barrier, I have no serious complaints about service at this place. I've had a number of different services here, including a leg wax. I'd pass on the waxing if I were you. They have a single tiny and shabby room with little privacy (my tech kept exiting the room during my session and leaving the door open). I've had multiple manicures and a pedicure. These have been outstanding. A no-chip manicure that actually lasts is worth coming back for. I don't know why I'm always surprised that I can't put a tip on a credit card when restaurants do it all the time. A $10 tip would cost them at most $0.30 in fees. Where's the logic in this? I'm giving the two stars for the friendliness of the employees at this salon and the prices ($30 for manicure and pedicure). They're not rude and usually, you don't have to wait too long, even if there's a line to be taken care of. As far as quality of services - less than mediocre. I've given this place many chances because it's so close to me and cheaper than other nail salons in the area, but you get what you pay for. The store itself is decently kept. There's nothing that would throw you off, but you can tell the nail polish selections are older bottles (which can effect the outcome of the polish on your nail). My recent visit, I almost tripped on a water bottle that was left on the floor. I once had a pedicure that left me with unevenly cut toe nails and a very thick, lumpy manicure. Not to mention, the cleaning part of the manicure was painful to my cuticles and left me with cuts. Before leaving, I waited 20+ minutes for the manicure to dry and even the SLIGHTEST touch to my shoe lace while tying my shoes caused an indent to the polish which eventually became wrinkled. Lesson of the day: it's worth the longer commute and dishing a few more dollars for better nails. read more

If I could give ZERO stars I would. I was very disappointed on how my ombré came out all bubbly and clumpy and it was my first time getting the ombré effect. They were so soft and bendable and I was barely putting pressure to press a button. It looked over all sloppy and I was just really upset on how they treated me when I went back to get it fixed 2 hours later. When I asked her if she could fix she gave me a nasty look at was obviously talking about me Bc all her coworkers were just staring at me rudely. I will not be back. And after waiting for an hour and obviously being an inconvenience in having them fixed I asked for my money back and I got a hard time for that as welll. This was my first time going there I usually rely on on other people's comments and they were all good. I guess the guy who did my nails was having a bad day, he was rough when he used the electric tool I told him it was getting hot but he just kept going. Then he started filing my nails on the sides and again rough with too much pressure and low and behold my finger started bleeding! To say the least I was not happy in all the years I've been getting my nails done no one has ever broke skin. This was done on 4/25/19 and my finger is still hurting as of today 4/27/19. This was by far the WORST nail salon experience I have ever had. Ever customer was in there complaining. They even made one young lady cry. The service my friend and I were receiving were dip nails and the pedicure. If you need a pedicure, yes they will do. It was very quick and surely not an experience (15 mins or less) but the toes came out nice. Let's get to the hands. I have claws. I have monster claws. My nails are lumpy, raised, uneven and a mess. It was to the point where I had to direct the nail tech on what tools to use in an attempt to salvage the mess that was on my fingers. My friend who received dipped as well had her nails dipped 6 times and filed 10 times. For reasons even the nail tech can't explain. They were too prideful to just admit that they didn't know what they were doing. I truly believe they just ordered dip powder to keep up with the wave and received no training. Oh let's not forget as my frustration rises with the situation the laughed. My tech was laughing at what she put on my hands. My friend's tech was laughing at the work she did. My favorite nail techs are Mae and Cindy. Mae and the owner speak good English. It's mostly walk in so can get busy. I call ahead to make sure I can get in.
