At first I thought $12 for 3 chicken tenders was a bit pricey, however, they are huge-and tasty. Add $4 for a drink and fries you have more than enough food. In fact we had leftovers. And to boot the chicken is gluten free. I was told that people come from as far away as Indianapolis and Columbus, Ohio for their chicken. Wow. Although it looks like a hole in the wall it's not to be missed. By the way, there's a free public parking lot a couple of doors down. read more

Chicken tenders with flavor! Very large portions with lots of flavor! Make your way to Bellevue for a delicious meal, friendly service with a casual atmosphere. We did takeout for a group, we had plenty of good food read more

First time there. Service was very friendly and attentive. The restaurant has booth seating up front and more seating in the back. It's not fancy, but it doesn't need to be. I tried the 3 tender meal with fries and was amazed at how juicy and flavorful the chicken was. The tenders are huge, more like small chicken breasts. I ate two and took one home. Solid fries, nicely cooked and seasoned. Loved it, will def return. read more

Don't be fooled by its outdated exterior and odd theme--Galactic Fried Chicken is hands down one of the BEST restaurants out there if you're looking for a fried chicken spot that has both vegetarian AND gluten free options! Their jackfruit bites are out of this world (pun intended), especially with a hefty side of ranch, and their loaded fries are delicious as well. The entire place is great for those with celiac. I don't recommend their deviled eggs, however. Fantastic spot, super nice owner! read more

Great chicken tenders and fried pickles. Wife and I split a four piece tenders but still ended up taking half our food home. I can tear up some chicken but one tender was all I could eat. Very friendly staff. Down the street from the Party Source. read more

We didn't know gluten free fried chicken tasted this good! Excellent! Would recommend!

The folks at galactic fried chicken are super friendly! There is seating both indoors and outdoors. The fried chicken was nice and crispy, and there is an option to choose dark meat. The chicken comes with cold slaw and pickles. My husband really enjoyed his fried chicken sandwich. I will definitely return whenever I'm craving fried chicken. read more

We finally tried Galactic Fried Chicken today and it lived up to the hype! The chicken, fries, and macaroni and cheese were all delicious. The service was super friendly and the prices were great too. The portions are large; my husband and I could have totally split a meal but we are not upset to have leftovers for lunch tomorrow! Our food was made fresh while we sat there and the inside is kitschy and unique! read more

Best chicken tenders that I've ever had! They are gluten free as well, so I didn't feel terrible after eating them. I ordered the deviled eggs, which by appearance I thought wouldn't be that great. I was wrong. They are not traditional deviled eggs. The were hard boiled, cut in half, and some sauce on top. Idk how something that simple was that yummy! I ordered the 3 piece tenders, no side, and could barely finish them. The tenders are HUGE! The Galactic Sauce is like Cane's and Chick-fil-a sauce had a spicy baby. AMAZING! I don't even like cole slaw and I ate that too. Highly recommend. read more

The tenders and sauces are very good and a nice location. Be prepared to smell like the food when you leave

Went early / 11:15am prob when they opened. Tried to order a 1/2 chic however they said it would be 25 mins. Just didn't have the time. Ordered the chic tendors which came out pretty quick. Really nice size tendors! My only issue was the fact that i tasted a lot of celery salt in the breading, too much in my opinion. read more

Best fried chicken in the Cincy area! It's crispy & juicy, all the things you want in a good fried chicken dish! You'd never believe it but most of their menu is gluten free too! While I'm not gluten free myself, I love that I can bring friends with different diet needs and we can all enjoy together. Vegetarian? They've got you covered there too with awesome jackfruit bites. read more

The chicken tenders were nothing special to be honest, but they also had a very unique taste so not terrible. Definitely not the best. yeah I would come here again just for the appetizers. The service is really good and the food did not take long at all so a pretty decent experience. The atmosphere was a very cool experience but very dark inside and smells weird. But I got over that smell for the delicious food. read more

Absolutely incredible meal. I have celiacs, so I haven't had good southern fried chicken in years. I don't understand how this chicken is so moist! The chicken tenders are huge, so well seasoned, & crispy. The fries also have a delicious seasoning to them. The sauce is kind of spicy, and works so well with the chicken. I'm honestly just so surprised that this place is so affordable and safe for me to eat at. I will absolutely be back. read more

We have visited 'Galactic Chicken' several times over the past couple of years. The food is usually hot, fresh, and delicious. The tasty crust is crunchy and the chicken inside is moist. The chicken tenders are easier to eat than the chicken pieces. Consider bringing your own flatware (we do) because the plastic forks and knives immediately melt in the hot chicken. One small downside is that kitchen staff write your order with a 'Sharpie' on red and white checkered wax paper, which serves as your plate. Sometimes kitchen staff place your chicken on the 'Sharpie' ink, which then transfers onto your chicken. The ambiance is that of an old, run-down pub, but the food is good. read more

Went yesterday for lunch. Was told up front it takes about 20 minutes for fried chicken. On vacation so take your time! Well worth the wait, and we got to play some Scrabble from the stack of board games available there. Cute little dive place, with friendly staff and delicious chicken. Very unique breading that I found out the next day is gluten free (if that matters to you). They also have Jack fruit choice which I've had elsewhere and loved as a vegetarian choice. Today had the wing and breast with mashed potatoes, pickles, and slaw. Chicken was juicy and delicious, and of course cooked fresh. House sauce is very tasty, but also spicy so be careful. Taste it first! Highly recommend, and go now before better weather packs the place. read more

Galactic Fried Chicken - Chicken Shop Near Me - Dayton, Kentucky

I came across this restaurant in a City Beat article. Gluten-free fried chicken!? That is like a dream come true. The vibe of the restaurant is retro diner. A vibe I like but basically always means it's a place with nothing for me to eat. I was over the moon that this restaurant suited me so well. The menu is simple. It really appealed to the kid in me that wants simple, comforting foods. We decided my chicken tenders were the most economical chicken purchase. They were huge! So much chicken and the cheapest. We split the fries. They were salty and crisp and also gluten-free. The chicken was fantastic. I believe I just detected celery salt in there. If you don't like celery salt, watch out. But I thought it was fantastic. The service was great. Everyone is very kind and made sure that we enjoyed our food. I think I would live in this restaurant if I could. read more

Cute little spot with a decent amount of seating. On a Monday it was easy to get a spot. They seemed to be doing a lot of carry out. Being a vegetarian, the jackfruit nuggets were absolutely incredible. The fried pickles were also bomb.. the breading is legendary! read more

Galactic is one of the best places in cincinnati. Always stellar service, the food is always hot and fresh and we love the vibe.

Their fried chicken is FANTASTIC! The flavor and crispiness of the breading is precisely on point. My husband and I both absolutely loved the chicken tenders. They are huge! We both had leftovers and they warmed up nicely in the AirFryer. The Galactic sauce is just the right amount of spicy and it complements the chicken perfectly. We also ordered mac and cheese, French fries, and fried pickles. The fries were crinkle cut, which isn't my favorite, but they were crispy and delicious. It's a casual place and I would highly recommend checking it out. read more

OMG...This place, hidden in my old home town of Dayton KY, has absolutely amazing gluten-free friend chicken. It was so, so good. The fried pickles, boozy shakes, bourbon, and gluten free beers were the perfect accompaniment for a perfect brunch. And if you are like me and can have gluten in your diet, you've got to get yourself a side of the mac 'n cheese. Now we just need them to open up a new location in Chicago to shorten our drive. read more

Cool place, descent food, service sucks though. I have drove by the place a few times and have always wanted to try it. I walk- in to place a to go order and instead of getting a 2-piece wrap ($10) with an order of deviled eggs ($6) (which would of cost me over $16), I got an order of deviled eggs ($6) and asked if I could get a tender ($3), with a tortilla on the side with some cheese and a side of ranch ($2). I'm cool with ranch being $2 but the cashier asked the guy in the back how to ring it up it was $3 for the tender, $2 for the ranch, AND $3 FOR THE TORTILLA! For a total of $8 plus tax (Mind you the 2-piece loaded wrap is $10). I believe the exact total was $14.84, didn't really save me any money or do me any favors. I mean for 1 dollar some change I could have had twice the wrap and the guy looks at me funny for not tipping him. Then I leave, get out to my car, no deviled eggs. Go back in to get my deviled eggs which they didn't realize I got because everybody spends $14.84 on a tortilla, cheese, 1 tender, and a side of ranch (insert sarcasm). Then when I get my deviled eggs, they only gave me 6 and they advertise 8 on their website, oh and they ate up my whole overpriced, crappy service lunch hour. I will never be back, they probably won't miss me anyway. It's sad too because this could be phenomenal place to eat with your pals. And yes, i may have spent the same amount of money if I wasn't overcharged for my food on the tip, but the difference is I would've been happy. read more

I'm allergic to gluten and I LOVE this place. The fried pickles are delicious and I would eat them every day if I could! lol. My only recommendation would be to get the food to-go. The staff inside is wonderful and accommodating, however the place is kinda outdated and feels a little unclean. The one time we ate inside we agreed that we preferred it to-go. read more

Gluten free fried chicken?! What?! I was so excited to try this place and it definitely did NOT disappoint! I don't need to eat gluten free but the added bonus of their designation also meant that I didn't feel horrible or super heavy after eating it! We ate inside which had a cool diner vibe although I will say they may need a little vent system upgrade as the air was a little thick and hazy inside...it wasn't bothersome though. The staff was ultra friendly, got our food out super fast even though I saw many many orders ahead of ours, and they checked on us numerous times to make sure we had everything we needed. Now to the good stuff...THE FOOD! I had the 3 piece tender meal and added fries - it was delicious and I was only able to finish 1.5 tenders because they are HUGE but as far as tenders go I give them a 4/5! Now my husband ordered their 3 piece mix meal and THIS is where their chicken is at! Their dark meat pieces are some of the BEST fried chicken I've ever had! I will 100% be getting that again. It also tastes like maybe they use some celery salt in their breading? I'm not sure but it had a unique flavor that I'm not used to with fried chicken but that I'm happy to say is a new favorite! Definitely a 6/5! Dayton, KY is killing the food & coffee scene and I'm here for it! Also...food was so mouthwateringly delicious looking I completely forgot to get any pics...looks like you'll just have to go check them out for yourselves and have your mind be blown! read more

Every time I've ordered here, the staff has been so welcoming, friendly, and accommodating. Tonight, he even complimented my T-Shirt while joking with me about how much I hate pickles. That alone would earn a high rating, but I took this order home and the chicken was piping hot, the sauce delicious, and the Mac and Cheese tasted amazing. I know I've reviewed it before but it the level of consistency deserves an update to let the world know that they remain one of the hidden gems in NKY. read more

Food is always so delicious and the staff is helpful, positive, and genuinely nice and upbeat. Love it here!

Wanted to love this place but the food was too salty and had too much seasoning. We tried chicken tenders, fried pickles, and jackfruit "chicken". My partner enjoyed the jackfruit chicken as he is a vegetarian and pickles were okay but the seasoning in the breading was overpowering. Pro: service was good and food came out quickly! read more

Best chicken fingers ever. Quick friendly service. Not very fancy inside but the food is excellent.

The chicken was overpowered by the massive amount of celery salt in the batter. I mean it was almost inedible. The loaded fries were reallllllly good though. read more

Hands-down, the best chicken tenders in this area. Incredible slaw, and sauce to die for. Get the loaded fries and deviled eggs as well. They've got some fun combos for dine in. The chicken was delicious but it did take a while. Chicken is made to order but the sides were cold. You go to the counter to order and they bring the food to you. Everything is space themed so that's pretty cool. I'd go back for the chicken but not any of the sides. read more

I'll keep it simple. Great food, service and theme. I didn't know what to expect but felt right at ease when I walked in and looked around at the carefully decorated place with astronomically themed walls. Nerds unite! I had the Jackfruit Nuggets and kept shaking my head at how similar they are to chicken nuggets. Their sauces are freaking delicious, I could drink them in a shot glass. I look forward to future visits. If you are in the area, I also recommend grabbing some coffee or other tasty treats from the nearby Unataza coffee shop. read more

I didn't even pull out of the 15-minute delivery parking before I had to tear into the chicken and mac and give it 5 stars. Fried chicken expertise: NOLA native with Kentucky heart/stomach and global sample size...I would call myself a connoisseur Chicken was made & served totally fresh and is juicy, flavorful, and served with excellent bbq/paprika/red pepper-y sauce. Staff/owner were very friendly. Ale 8 always gives me joy as a drink option and I couldn't leave without the homemade s'mores rice krispy. When an errand brought my parents to KY, I asked if they'd stop by to get me some chicken! I hadn't tried it before because I live closer to 2 hours away. But I knew I needed to try it after a bunch of rave reviews on the GF groups. Oh my gosh. I'm in love!! The portions are insanely generous. Flavor is amazing! Texture is amazing and I ate mine almost 4 hours after my parents got it. I got the tenders, fried pickles, legs, and a breast. I haven't had a Fried chicken breast in years!! Twice fried (first time from the week? before) chicken is not my idea of great, nor galactic, unless they mean it was cooked from outer space. And the wait time was excruciatingly long, as if it was made to order. T-shirts are cute and for sale. Less than $20/each. read more

The best food exotic you ate gluten free! The customer service is always amazing! We tell everyone we can to eat here!

We went there off of recommendations and it didn't disappoint at all. So, for starters, the place. Cool retro space theme. Next, the service. Ordered, friendly and helpful. They told me 15-20 minutes, because it's cooked to order. appreciate that. Next the food. Chicken was Galactic. LOL. Very good. The pieces were large and perfectly cooked. Juicy, flavorful and even a little on the crispy side. The outside breading was amazing. Didn't get pictures of the food because I got it to go and forgot. Could be some of the best in KY. read more
