Enjoyed our brunch today! This place is just beautiful I wish we asked for seating near the front windows, though. The Staff was friendly and very attentive. We walked in thinking we were underdressed because of the uniforms they had. Fortunately, they reassured us that our sweatshirts/jeans were just fine. The omelette and breakfast sandwich were both delicious. It was a little odd to have a salad and potato gratin with our meal, but both were fine. I would have liked a balsamic vinaigrette instead of ranch, though. Overall, we enjoyed our breakfast. Hope they do well! read more

First time trying this new, local eatery featuring French/Latin fusion fare. It's right up the street from the very best Glendora has to offer, Speakeasy Friday at Coco Vino so I thought it wise to give the new kid on the block a try before enjoying some wine & jazz. Joined by two longtime friends, one of which resides in Paris part time, we were all pleased with the service and food we sampled. My Parisian pal began with a plate of escargot. He assured me that Gabacho had done an excellent job preparing the dish. Certainly, the presentation of the dish was quite inviting. I was content to take his word for it but when pressed to try one, I sampled the escargot and was delightfully surprised at the pleasant taste, and texture! Meanwhile my other friend and I tried soup appetizers. He had the tomato, I ordered the French onion. My friend remarked that his tomato soup was delicious. For me, the French onion was very good, if not the best I've had. Seems every restaurant has a slightly different take on this classic standard. Photos of our appetizers will be included with this review. However, for some reason I did not take any photos of our 3 main courses. Perhaps it was because we were too enamored with the meal?! Anyway , suffice it to say we were happy with our choices. I had the pan roasted chicken breast. It was quite tasty. My Parisian paisan had the Salmon A La Almendra. He was pleased. Our 3rd party guest had the Pasta De La Mer much to his delight. The service was standard and acceptable on every level. New spot across the street from my salon. I was iffy to walk in but immediately the reception I received was warm and welcoming. I ordered to go but decided to eat there. I orders the rib eye omelette with a side of fruit instead of the potatoes. It was so good, a different flavor from any other place. The side fruit salad with mango bits and kale was tasty, not what I find in other restaurants and wow it did not disappoint. Staff made it all that much better experience. Loved this new spot in Glendora! Had the Porto Burger which has this nice sort of caramelized onion reduction jam and melted brie and comes with garlicky fries and a substantial side salad. Very big portions but not overwhelming either. I also split the dulce de leche crepe for dessert which I'd recommend as well. Very friendly staff and good vibes inside. We went for brunch and got a latte, Crepe de la Baie, Limousin Omelette, and a Kids Turkey and Jack Crepe. The food was surprisingly good! I had the Crepe de la Baie, and the texture of the crepe was not dry at all, the shrimp was fresh and tender, and they use real crab. My husband enjoyed his omelette, especially the brie, and it came with a couple pieces of baguette on the side. The baguette had the perfect crisp on the outside and was very soft in the middle. So good! The kids seemed to like the kids crepe too. We will be back to try their dinner menu! Welcome to Glendora, Gabacho! I love supporting new businesses in Glendora, and this one is truly a gem for my friends, my family, and me. We were so impressed with the quality, the thoughtful presentation, and the absolute scrumptiousness of every plate. We enjoyed the Vaquero burger, two different salmon dishes, and the crème brûlée and each one was exceptional. I've traveled to France many times, so it's such a joy to experience a little taste of France right here in our sweet Glendora. David, the chef and owner, is an absolute delight! For mains, I had the 12oz ribeye with the madeira mushroom sauce, and it was cooked just right--tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. We also ordered the chicken alfredo pasta, which was rich, creamy, and really satisfying. On top of the food, the service was excellent. Super excited to try this new spot and it did not disappoint at all! We came for lunch during the week so luckily no wait, we got an amazing window seat to be able to people watch downtown while we waited for the food. Everything on the menu sounds delicious and it was so hard to choose but we went with the salmon. They have two different types of salmon dinners, so we got one of each and oh my goodness, both were so different in taste but were absolutely amazing and cooked perfectly! Prices were not nearly as bad as I thought I would be considering how nice it is inside. I loved the beautiful tree that they have. Our server was very attentive. I grew up in La Verne, so it was such a refreshing surprise to find an elevated dining spot like Gabacho Restaurant nearby. The menu is extensive yet thoughtful, the ambiance is warm and stylish, and the owners were there and incredibly friendly! The portions are also generous. Between two of us, we shared the vegetable risotto, ribeye, and prosciutto bruschetta and were stuffed!! But of course we had room for the crème brûlée for dessert! When I saw the menu outside, i was confused as to what their main cuisine was. It had literally something for everyone. Breakfast, omelets, salads, sandwiches and paninis, crepes, burgers, steaks, fish, pasta....you name it, they had it. I actually liked the wide array of choices. The food......is phenomenal. The presentation of the food, is top chef tier. The service was so attentive and welcoming. This place is a hidden gem. And the prices were so cheap for the quality of food you get....I was shocked. Have been to the establishment before. The food is good but pricey. The wait when we've been there previously has been long (1.5 hrs for lunch service for three people) but thought it was because it was a newer place, so we gave grace as they were working the kinks out in their service times. Today, my family and I went in 20 minutes after they had opened and there were many seats available. An older gentleman told us that it would be a few minutes, which many, many minutes. He came and filled up water glasses where we were waiting by the bar to be seated. We saw that he was on his phone behind the bar during this time. After waiting some time for a seat (we had four in our group) we and not being acknowledged again, we left. While I understand some days you can be short staffed, it makes it hard to keep customers with continued slow service such as this. We may be back for pickup only to spend our gift card or may give to a friend. We are all about supporting small business, but it's just too much. read more

Went there for brunch and had the Crepe la béchamel. The béchamel sauce was perfectly creamy and both savory and a little sweet. Yum. The salad was lovely. I had my birthday dinner there! I would strongly recommend it. I had Beef tartare and it was divine; sandwich was big and side salads with strawberries delicious. My daughter had cheesy fries and she approved. This place would be also great for a romantic date night as the booths are kind of private and allows you to have a semiprivate dining with a good conversation.
