Fast food BBQ that will NEVER get confused with real BBQ from Texas or Kansas City. Came by for lunch and was not impressed. Ordered the brisket sandwich and "made it a meal" so I also got a drink and a side. Brisket was dry and had no bark. I ate a little over half the sandwich and put it down. Mac & cheese was just ok. They have pasta made and in storage and slop some cheese on it. All for $24 which seemed like way too much money. Won't be back.

I go to Gque pretty often and it never disappoints. I always love the vibe and 90's music. The food is great and today I had the dry rub wings and the seasoned fries. The wings are always excellent. The rub they use has a ton of flavor and the blue cheese has the perfect amount of tang. The seasoned fries are the best I've ever had and I order them everytime I eat here. The service is always fast and the employees are always kind to me. My favorite bbq place in Denver, no question.

Love the new location in Thornton! The interior is separated into a bar, an ice cream counter, and a counter or order food. You can order food and drinks at the same counter as well- they have an amazing happy hour with $1 coors and $12 pork nachos m-f 2-5pm. Love the nachos- they have a great ratio of cheese to chip, a decent pile of meat, and lots of fresh ingredients. The pulled pork sandwich was good too- the slaw adds a nice sweet crunch. They had 3 different bbq sauces- original, hotish, and a Carolina mustard sauce. Hotish wasn't hot so much as it tasted earthy, like peppers without the heat. Original was excellent though. Was not expecting to be so wowed by the ice cream- I got the cookie dough and the salted caramel Oreo. Some places the cookie dough is just chunks of flavorless dough, but here it actually tastes like cookie dough! And it has plenty of chunks of cookie dough in every bite. The salted caramel Oreo also had a good salt flavor- not too much, just enough to make it different. Service was very friendly, and everyone was very patient. I especially appreciated the guy at the ice cream counter who talked me through the flavors and was patient as I tried a ton before making my decision. Also, be sure to sign up for their rewards program on their website, as you get a free sandwich! Highly highly recommend and we will be back.

Went there on 11/26/25. Went got there around 5pm. It was the day before Thanksgiving so it was very busy. Like us, nobody else wanted to cook at home. When we got there they were out of turkey and brisket. Then while we were there they ran out of beans. The staff was great! Very attentive and friendly. We got the family platter. (1.5 pounds of meat, we got pulled pork and sausage, 3 sides, Mac n cheese, baked beans and coleslaw.). The coleslaw was awesome! So good. The atmosphere was great. Such a change from what that building was before. Will definitely be back. Everything was great!

I had the Denver Broncos Fries along with a half dozen Dry Rubbed Chicken Wings which were all so delicious. This was my first time at the Thornton Restaurant and it was a great experience. It's been a minute since I have contributed to Yelp, and what better time than now with this restaurant. We just recently returned from Texas visiting family and we're craving some good BBQ, and had been wanting to give this place a try. It seemed a little pricey, but you can't put a price on good food (you get what you pay for). We took our Granddaughter, and Great Granddaughter (who approved of the Mac and Cheese) and meet a couple other family members (Texans), and we all felt that the food was pretty good. The true test was the brisket. The brisket was very tender, yet still moist, and also had a lot of flavor. The pulled pork was also very tasty. They also had three different bbq sauces available for you to use, which were all good, and not overpowering like other establishments. The staff were very courteous, and the establishment was very clean and welcoming. All in all we were all very impressed.

We are happy to have another local food joint on this side of town. We love gQue, but the prices nowadays will make us come a lot less. We have been to the other GQue several of times, so I ordered ahead since I knew this location has been really busy. The pick up system is pretty great since at this location you can pick it up through the drive thru. It was a previous Wendy's that they converted which is pretty cool compared to their other locations. I ordered the chipotle smoked wings which were spicier than I was expecting but not bad. The seasoned fries didn't help though. I also ordered a single Mac & cheese for $4 which was basically a scoop. In total, it was $26 which is a little higher compared to other places. We would come back, but hopefully they have turkey next time because that's my favorite.

I absolutely love this restaurant! We were so thrilled when they were opening a spot in Thornton and every time we get food it beats the time before. Everything is always perfectly cooked and they have my favorite mac and cheese! Additionally they have a super easy drive thru pick up that's a total game changer for getting food in a hurry. They also have a really wonderful rewards system that gives you free items and discounts and I even got a special promo for my birthday which is just so nice! I ordered pick up via their drive through window, and had an average experience with service. The person helping me asked if needed anything but left before I can answer. The food was kind of miserable. Depicted online on the combo is a sandwich with slaw and I didn't receive that with my order on the sandwhich unfortunately. The brisket was bone dry. Their bbq is prepackaged as well and lacked any flavor. The mashed potatoes were not seasoned with enough salt nor was their gravy. I was hoping for a better experience seeing what I paid for. It was nice and clean the the cashier was friendly. However the food was super dry, when I think of BBQ I think of juicy meat not dry meat. Me and my husband could barley eat our sandwiches we got without having to chug water with it. We spent $45 on two meals and we could barley enjoy it. After years of being a BBQ competition judge and a competitor, Jason Ganahl started G-Que under the assumption that people would want to try Competition-Style BBQ. The meats were exactly what you want from a good barbecue joint: smoky, tender, and packed with flavor without drowning in sauce. You could tell the pit did the talking. The okra was a great starter too, crispy without being greasy and a perfect way to kick things off. Sides can make or break a BBQ place and Smokin Dave's nailed them. The mac and cheese was creamy and rich, the mashed potatoes were comforting and buttery, the collard greens had that slow-cooked depth you hope for, and the red beans and rice brought a little Southern soul to the table. We had a great visit to G-Que BBQ. I ordered the smoked turkey with baked beans, and my wife had the pulled pork with green beans. Everything was flavorful and well-cooked. Our toddler enjoyed bites of all our food plus the mac and cheese and loved every bit of it. My wife especially loved the green beans. For dessert, we shared the grasshopper ice cream which was really good. The restaurant was bright, clean, and had TVs playing the game, which added to the atmosphere. The staff was incredible. They checked in on us twice and were both fast and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed. I'm already looking forward to coming back for Happy Hour and the $1 Coors Lights.
