Most Expensive Yogurt Ever I'm from Southern California, one of the most expensive places in the country, so I'm no stranger to high prices. But even by Southern California standards, my experience at Yogurt Yum was absolutely shocking. Two small cups of frozen yogurt came out to $27.02. Let that sink in. Twenty-seven dollars... for yogurt. To make matters worse, the yogurt itself was average at best. Nothing special, nothing memorable, certainly nothing that would remotely justify a price tag like that. It tasted like the same frozen yogurt you can get at dozens of other places for a fraction of the cost. What really made the experience worse was the fact that there were no tasting cups available. Most frozen yogurt shops allow customers to try flavors before committing, especially when you're paying by weight. Here, you're expected to just guess and hope you like what you pick, while the price quietly climbs into the stratosphere. Again, I come from Southern California. I've been to plenty of frozen yogurt shops in places where rent, labor, and everything else is expensive. Never in my life have I paid $27 for two small yogurts. Needless to say, NEVER again will I buy yogurt from here. Buyer beware... you can't say you weren't warned. read more

Gawd AWFUL!!! Not only did two small "dollups" of "yogurt" (if you want to even call it that) cost nearly 5 bucks, the flavors were slim to none and the only two decent flavors were still not great (all of it tasted "off") and didn't resemble real yogurt I have had in he past. On top of that the "Oreo" cookies were clearly the CHEAPEST NASTIEST knock off available and they tasted like literal 10 year old cardboard, plus the associate working looked like she was dazed and confused and hated life. Froyo has a special place in my heart. It's quick, easy and can satisfy any sweet tooth. Yogurt Yum has your traditional flavors ranging from original tart to chocolate pudding and unique flavors like cake batter to vanilla bean. I opted for the chocolate pudding and original tart. The toppings are normally my favorite part of froyo. My go to toppings is always the fresh fruit. I feel like it balances out from the very sweet artificial sugars of the yogurt. Unfortunately, there wasn't any fresh fruit offered at this location except for the cut up pineapples (I question the freshness). They had strawberries that were sitting in some sort of simple syrup of the sorts but those didn't look very fresh either. I went with a random assortment of toppings including peanuts, almonds and cheesecake bites. The amount of sugary toppings offered reminded me of one of those candy shops catered to children. Not much for adults who need a nice balance of flavors. If you're a froyo lover who enjoys a wide array of fresh fruit, Yogurt Yum shouldn't fall in one of your top choices. Pretty much the same review as everyone else. Very clean and well kept facility, but the juice isn't worth the squeeze. Let's face it, nobody pays money to a business because the store is clean. We got 3 small yogurts and when the cashier (very nice lady) told me it was $36, I was a bit taken back. I almost asked if the scale was broken because there's no way my 2 elementary school aged daughters and I had 36 ounces of a yogurt like substance in our cups. The yogurt was watered down and tasted more like sorbet than froyo. We will stick with Menchies or Yogurtland. If you don't like money or quality frozen yogurt, than this is the yogurt shop for you!!! read more

Came in late one freezing cold evening with my wife and daughter. We built our yogurts and headed to the counter to pay, $27 later we had a cold treat. The yogurts were good but not that good. I thought maybe we had just overdone it but we all finished ours and nothing was thrown away. I think if I'm going to spend $9 per person on a sweet treat I'm going to go else where. read more

For a self serve yogurt, this place goes above and beyond for tip top ingredients. Nothing tastes of overdone artificial fake flavors. This is the joint if you want real ingredients that tastes like what is advertised. From the yogurt to the sorbet, velvety smooth bursting with flavors. The pina colada and carmel apple is out of this world! The owner perfected the recipes down to the T. The owner himself personally spoke to my bf and I, making it a very friendly and professional atmosphere. The overall look of the location is modern and upbeat. This place is amazing. The flavors are always so good, they don't leave a fake funky after taste and the place is spotless. Every time we are there the owner waits patiently for us to get our goodies then takes down to whipe down and clean everything and I see him do this after every customer and have seen him do it for years. The owner is also very kind and respectful and you can tell he loves his business. This was our first visit here. It is a nice little shop with a serve yourself setup. We were given one sample paper taster, which was OK, but frankly a couple would have been nice. The yogurt was very creamy and tasty. Their toppings were a little messed up with the spoon for "cherries" in the "Butterfingers," and lots of the spoons were like that. The young girl at the counter was on her smart phone the whole time, and when we asked a question, she barely looked up. The tables needed a wipe down as well. We used to come in quite often actually, but we have found that the consistency of the yogurt is hit and miss. Tonight when we went in most of the yogurts were melty and not thick enough. It was $20 for 4 people which seems like a lot for melted yogurt. I think this might have been our last visit. The flavors are fun and the mix-ins are good for the kids. It is a fun place to go for a little treat. The interior used to be very sleek and stylish but I have seen that changing too. They now have an art easel in the corner, a community board that is FULL of papers and messiness on the wall. There is some jewelry for sale on the counter and a big rack of random stuffed animals. I think that when you are running a business you need to try to stick to your direction, so if your direction is yogurt, you probably shouldn't have a rack of stuffed animals and jewelry... I've been going to self-serve yogurt places for many years (I travel to Southern California for work a lot, so I had seen them before they made their trek to Colorado) and I was glad that when I lived in Thornton for a year there was a yogurt shop close to my apartment. They definitely embrace a sense of community at this joint. They have a section for kids to sit (smaller chair/tables) with toys and a t.v. that plays cartoons (this is nice for people like me with no kids because then they aren't bored out of their mind running around causing shenanigans). They have good flavors and a community board that allows you to suggest flavor combinations, which is fun. There are some things in life I get behind the power curve on, and the frozen yogurt craze was one of them. Now that I have found frozen yogurt, I'm beginning to think I may have an addiction problem. The BF lives in Brighton, so this place is the closest frozen yogurt store to his house. We were warmly greeted, and when we checked out, the cashier offered us a frequent buyers card (whoo hoo!). The yogurt selection is less than what I am used to at the yogurt place closest to me in Aurora, but they had the flavors I wanted. The toppings are also less than what I am used to, but they did have Hot Caramel topping, which my favorite place in Aurora does not offer. I heard about this place from a mailer. I consider myself to be very familiar with the froyo scene, so I decided to try it out today. The owner was very welcoming and showed me how self-serve works. They had milk chocolate, peach passion, cookies 'n cream, country vanilla, huckleberry heaven, strawberry banana, new york cheesecake, and cappuccino flavors. I noticed the price per ounce is 39 cents which is higher than other places. Their cups are also larger which might lead customers into spending more money without realizing it. I sampled all of the flavors except for huckleberry heaven, country vanilla, and cappuccino. Overall, I was disappointed with the consistency of the yogurt--it was all melty. Especially the cheesecake flavor seemed like it wasn't mixed enough or at a cold enough temperature because it tasted like spoiled milk. I ended up getting peach passion with artisan granola, Reese's, strawberries, and orange boba. I was disappointed with the fruit toppings because you could tell they weren't fresh but frozen. In fact, my strawberries were mushy and yet half frozen. While this place has only been open for a month, I think they still have some kinks to work out. I would recommend this establishment label the toppings, switch to fresh fruit, and pay attention to the yogurt consistency. read more

I don't really have much to say except that the Yogurt was already melting as it exited the dispenser, and the price per ounce is extremely high, such that I could walk to the store and purchase a half gallon of frozen yogurt for the same price. The toppings are decent for a self-serve yogurt shop, the cocoa puffs, chocolate chips, and selection of gummies were great. As for the fruit toppings, they're often either dried out or completely frozen. While there is a great selection of flavors, the quality is nothing to write home about. I would probably go back if I didn't already have frozen yogurt in my freezer and if they fixed the consistency/temperature of the yogurt they serve. read more

With so many frozen yogurt places these days, they all kind of seem to blend together. This one didn't stand out for any particular reason, but it was by no means bad. They actually had an interesting flavor, cupcake batter (surprisingly very different from cake batter). They have your run of the mill toppings, although I must say the fruit did not seem very fresh. Called the store to discuss being charged twice. Said that there machines are top dollar and don't make mistakes. I told him I will come in and show him the double charge. The funny part is you weigh your yogurt. The odds of getting two exact to the penny amounts into the cup seems odd. I just hope I get my money back asap. Flavors are gross, kid area is too cramped, they're trying to do too much, can't even grab a drink from the fridge, the toys are blocking it... not to mention the tables that squeak with the most annoying sound if you move them a tiny bit.
