They always do a great job of delivering what I asked for whether it's my normal ombré or experimenting for special events. They have a 5% discount when you pay your services in cash. Omgggg !!! This place is amazing!!! I was looking on Yelp at photos and reviews to see how good this place was at doing gel nails design. I recently went to another place that was good with designs, but my gel nails polish started chipping only 4 days later!!!! So I was glad to see on Yelp people showing photos and written review of their nails lasting for 3 weeks! I suggest you park in the public parking lot behind Babylon Bean. When I entered G nails, I was transported into such a calm environment. The lights were on low, and there was very peaceful music playing. It was nice. Immediately, the manager greeted me and asked me what my nail design request was. I showed him some photos, and he made some recommendations according to color and design for which polish to pick. He also told me the prices for the matte polish was additional, and gold foil designs are extra. The total cost would be $45 for gel nails, with one design on one finger on both hands. Mia was my nail tech. She got to work right away, filling away my gel polish, and using a very small and gentle drill to clean up around my nailbeds. The. She applied 2 coats of clear polish quickly and worked while they dried. Then she applied the base color coat, and went over it 2-3 times with additional coats. Then she called over another girl named Vicki who did the design. Then she came back to put cuticle oil on my nail beds, and lotion on. She gave a wonderful short hand massage. I wish it was longer! My hands were so tight. Then she told me to wash my hands, and she applied a hot towel onto my hands to dry. Wonderful place! I love that the manager tried to greet each customer, and make sure communication of the nail design is done properly between the nail tech. Their attention to detail is wonderful, and the people there seemed really happy. Will come again!!! I've been really impressed with this place the last few times I've gone (today was my 4th time). I like how they clean every area after each customer including the chairs and I like that they are still enforcing their mask policy. I've seen someone different each time I've gone there and they have all been great. Today, I saw Bella and she is just so talented! My pedicure came out beautiful, she took her time and I really liked that. She had her own nails done that were so cute. I asked her if she could do the glitter she had on her nails on mine and if she could shape them more almond. She did an amazing job. Again, took her time and made sure they were all the same length/even which I'm always picky about. I will be making all my future appts with Bella from here on out! My tip would be to BRING CASH! For tipping and the bonus card. My nails look great and I'm very happy with them. I would give 3 stars to the rest of this particular visit though. The music was very calming and if you let it you could fall right asleep to it! It took a long time to do my nails this time. I do like the results but the technician I got needed help from other staff to complete it. I was hoping that for $60 for a manicure I'd a get a mini massage on my hands and back :( There are pros and cons so I will try them again and see how it turns out! read more

This place has been my go to nail place for the past 3 years. Most of their nail techs are fantastic and do a phenomenal job on nails. Very clean too. The past few months, it hasn't been my favorite. The last nail tech drilled my nail beds down so much, I have indents after removing the SNS nails myself(and I removed them myself the proper way with soaking with acetone and all that). He didn't clean up my nails, so I had gunk on my fingertips. And the price of SNS went up to $40 from $35. Not a huge deal, but he didn't even clean off my fingertips, and I didn't notice until I was to my car. He also seemed like he was in a rush and just did a half assed job. Maybe he was having a bad day? I don't know, but I wasn't happy with paying $40 for a rushed job. Another thing I'm not thrilled with is that for the past few months is that I will make an appointment and end up waiting 30-45 minutes past my appointment time. I love this place and the color selection and designs they do, but this last nail tech was kind of terrible and ruined my nails. Only removing one star due to the past experience but I am very hesitant to go back for awhile now because I'm hoping I don't get that one nail tech again. read more

I recently had a issue here . I had a pedicure done and the man who did it put my feet in freezing cold water , so I asked to make it hot and he did not drain the cold water instead, filled it up to the top so when I put my foot in alot of water spilled out all over my new shoes soaking them. No one said sorry or got me a towel to dry them. the water made the colors in my shoes run . But what bothers me the most is... I asked for flip flops to leave the salon since the inside of my sneakers were soaked and the owner wanted to charge me 3.00 . Not offering me a discount or a service for damaging my brand new 160.00 sneakers. They always run late and are not friendly . read more

Favorite new nail salon. They've been in Babylon for awhile now after Escape left. The thing they are known for are their crazy designs on gel manis. Follow them on Insta to check out their work - it's pretty impressive. (g_nails_babylon) I've only had one gel mani in my life, for my wedding earlier this month and they lasted 2 weeks, and I received a ton of compliments on them. Prices are definitely very reasonable - gel mani is $25 (designs additional). Basic pedi is $17, so on par with other local places. I love this place! Every time I get my nails done, it doesn't matter by who, I am always blown away! I prefer acrylic gel French and the job Jackie did has surpassed my already high expectations of this salon. I went in yesterday to get my nails fixed (originally done by a salon that shall remain nameless), and Jackie worked so hard to fix them. She did such a good job, I am beyond pleased with the work she did. I have already gotten several compliments on my nails, albeit a simple french manicure in the coffin shape. The nails they do are better than any other salon I've ever been to & they last FOR WEEKS, as long as you know how to take care of your nails. Came to visit G nails and they technician that did my gel nails this time was very strange. The process of the entire experience was so strange. She barely cut my cuticles, filed my gel nails after it was all finished and then began cutting my cuticles after my nails were all finished. She made several mistakes on my nails and tried to save it which ended up making it worse.. overall just a sloppy job. I don't think I'll be back here since they opened up several nail salons in town now. read more

I've been going to G Nails for the past 5 years. For the past couple of years, Annie has been doing my nails and she always did an amazing job. When I called to get an appointment, they told me that Annie no longer works there. I decided to still go and use anyone. The girl (I think her name was Icey) that did my nails literally rushed through my powder gel. It usually took Annie about an hour and 15 mins to do my nails, where as this girl was done in about 50 mins. She cut my nails short when I asked her to cut them just a tiny bit, left the edges rough, the tops bumpy and polish all over my cuticles. She cut me and made me bleed and didn't even say sorry. She also burnt me numerous times with the buffer tool and didn't even acknowledge that I was practically pulling my finger out of her grip. Unfortunately with Annie no longer working there, I will have to find a new salon to go to. read more

I have a rather polarizing opinion of G Nails & Spa, I'll start with the positive: Dip Powder would never chip; Most technicians do really good work, the owner Kevin does THE BEST hand painted nail art I've ever seen, & they run generally on-time. The One Negative that make me not want to go back: I'd asked the owner, Kevin, to use a certain technique for a nail design (I'll go into detail further down for those who want to know about the technique). He insisted that the technique I asked for wouldn't work, so he went ahead a did the design a different way. After one nail, I didn't like the design, asked him to stop, and asked him again to use the technique I'd originally asked for. He kept insisting that that's not how to do the design, and eventually said "You're telling me how to do my job". I was shocked and taken aback about being spoken to that way, and I eventually responded with "No, I'm asking you for what I'd like". After this exchange, he finally used the technique that I'd asked for, the designs were beautiful, and I truthfully said "this is exactly what I wanted". I don't care how skilled you are, you don't speak to people like that. Obviously, most people reading this review don't know me, however I rarely leave negative reviews. Also, I'm a kind person, and typically go out of my way to be that way, especially to people in a service positions. The technique I'm referring to: The designs were little watermelons using a combo of pink and green. The technique I preferred was to use a neutral or white base, and then use the ombré technique to put green from the cuticle about a 1/3 the way down the nail, and then pink for the latter 2/3s to the tips. I wanted a neutral or white base so that the area where the green and pink met would be distinctly lighter and show the neutral/white. The technique Kevin first used was to use the bright Pink as the base, and the using the ombré technique to add green from the cuticle down a 1/3. What I didn't like about this technique, and why I asked for the one I described, was the color you get when putting the green over the pink, it distorted the green. Also, the area on the nail where the green turns to pink was not a gradual fade. read more

I think this place just became my new favorite nail spot.. It's clean and they are extremely efficient.. My nails look totally on point when I leave here and they lasted for two weeks .. I wanted to wait at least one more time before leaving a review but they really have a good thing going on in here .. Gel polish upon gel polish in here, the owner did not skimp on color choosing for this place... They also have a full wall of regular polish as well.. My favorite thing is the nail designs.. They're fun and they are done with such precision.. Vickie and Jackie do some boss ass designs and they have so many to choose from.. My nails are on the shorter side but they made it work! And they came out awesome .. I would prob call for an appointment bc they fill up like no joke around lunch time.. Kudos to my new fav nail ladies! read more

I waited to write my review on this salon, and boy am I glad. While this salon has many rave reviews, I'm disappointed to say I have had more than one poor experience but Thursday is the last and final time. The two times I had an SNS manicure done here they broke/chipped within the same week, but I let it go. I called the salon to let them know instead of an SNS manicure, I'd like to get a full set of acrylic at the time of my appointment instead. They said it would be no problem; however, I guess the nail tech (Jackie) didn't get the memo. During the entire process she would whisper to her colleague beside her who would then look at my nails and either laugh, stifle a laugh, make some smug noise, etc. Basically making it blatantly obvious she's talking badly about me. She kept sighing the entire time and was especially rough. Every time I've had my nails done she has burned me with the drill, and this time was no exception. I asked her to cut my nails a bit, and instead she lightly filed them...leaving them the long length I did not want. Long story short I had to go back to the salon to have them cut. The man who did my nails was just as rude as the other woman - sighing, talking in their native language obviously about me, and just being rough. I will never patronize this disgusting establishment again. They constantly talk shit to eachother about you, they over charge for their services, and offer nothing special - honestly.
