We got detoured from the Interstate and are so happy we did! It was sunny and 65 so we could sit outside on their spacious deck. But inside was nice too! Very clean! Very comfortable. The grille smells are what you think they should be! The service was not great. However, that didn't bother us one but. We were in and out in an hour or maybe slightly less. It is a couple people on the grille and one person taking orders and delivering food. My daughter said it was the best burger ever. She is a 13 year old girl. Our two teenage sons crushed double cheeseburgers. I also enjoyed a side of baked beans. I would love to go back and try more! read more

We were staying at a nearby hotel and found this gem on google maps. We came on a busy night but were able to get a seat outside. The river view was beautiful!! G&E burgers is off the beaten path in Kentucky... it is a quaint little hole in the wall that you would expect to find in a small town. I had their cheese burger with bacon with a side of onion rings. The burger was good but not great but the onion rings were delicious. The service was really slow - the waitress was nice but not real attentive. This was a good place for lunch but really nothing special. read more

Truly the best burger in town. Their fried pickles are incredible, and I love sitting in the patio by the river when it's warm outside.

Stopped on our way to GA. Took a chance and was glad we did. They were busy (we got there at noon, poor planning on our part) the restaurant was clean. Outdoor seating area was nice. Stopped here on our way back home from the Smokey Mountains. We expected decent food in what other reviewers described as a hole-in-the-wall. I did not expect a clean, well-lit restaurant with a beautiful outdoor beer garden that has a view of the Cumberland River. Beyond that- the food was excellent. Best burger I've had in years. I came with my whole family (it was vacation after all). We ordered numerous burgers, a BLT, frog legs, cheese curds, French fries, and onion rings. Everything was amazing. I loved the onion rings. The fries are crinkle cut and pretty thick- I liked them but if you're a crunchy fries only kind of person (as my wife is) they won't do. Really awesome Yelp lead!! Needed to stop & did not want chain fast food. Saw the Yelp reviews and decided it was worth the 1-ish mile off the 75 interchange. Really nice people. Their menu was pretty extensive - Asked what they would eat for their own lunch. Suggested as first timers we had to try their burgers. Wow - huge, hot, juicy hand formed patties seasoned and cooked perfectly. Two of them in a double was almost more than I could handle. Giant pile of piping hot crinkle cut fries accompanied the burger- crispy & not greasy. Could not eat them all - which is highly unusual for me Two of us with drinks and tip for another $25 - great value for the quality and quantity. A definite repeat. read more

Great burger spot and I can confirm they have outdoor seating. It sits up high off of the river and they have about 7 or 8 tables outside. You do need to go inside and order your meal and they bring it out to you. Staff was very friendly and they are all wearing masks. I had a cheeseburger that was juicy and delicious!! And if you like onion rings these were real beer batter onion rings. They were delicious and they didn't skimp on the portion. Decent food, but a bit expensive for what you get. I got the catfish dinner with bacon ranch fries, hush puppies, and cole slaw, while my husband had the Ultimate Grilled Cheese with chili cheese fries. We both had tea to drink. My catfish was wonderful, crispy in the outside and juicy on the inside. Everything else, though, was lacking in quality. My hush puppies were slightly burnt, and the fries were soggy for both of our orders. My bacon ranch fries simply had the large pieces of bacon dropped on top, instead of crumbled up like it was supposed to. His chill cheese fries were barely lukewarm, and the cheese never melted properly. The "Ultimate Grilled Cheese" seemed to be toasted, not grilled, as the cheese definitely didn't even come close to melting. Also, the cheeses on it were only different in color, as we came to find out - white American and yellow American. The bacon war nice and crispy, though. Both of us had tea to drink, and it tasted a bit off, like it was made the night before and reused. Overall, I'm not sure that this place is worth it. They claim to have the "best burgers in town" though, so I may go back once more to test that claim. If they truly do have the best burgers in town, then they should stick to those and forget the rest. read more
