    Fried Chicken Livers

The Backyard Bar & Grill was good!! It was highly recommended to have the Fried Chicken Livers - which was a great recommendation and more than enough for the price and the whole table. They taste just like I remember from back in the day. The service was great and the restaurant was bubbly. Great place to stop and have a bit of fun when traveling through the Appalachian Mountains!

First time and won't be the last! Great Ambiance & Quick Service! Our server was awesome and the food was served very quickly even though they were a bit busy!

a sign for the best burger in town

Wow... I have been driving by this place since it opened - seeing their big digital sign "best burgers in town." I finally decided to stop, and what a surprise. The restaurant hits on all the categories. The restaurant has a cool vibe and an outside area. The burgers and fries were fantastic. The service was incredible - Colton was awesome. The pricing was very good also. The only drawback was that the gaming hall is a smoking facility, so the place smells like cigarettes. I will be back to try something else. It is worthy of a visit.

The nice looking bar, yet limited availability. Nice ambiance however.

Food ok. Not normal casino grade, far less, ok for the area. Drink prices have gone really high in the past few weeks. Seems after a few years in the area they are starting the price hikes and smaller noticeable smaller portions in dinners. Service is ok, there is rarely the same waitresses on staff. 3 starts is generous and due to the people who is working are trying hard to make a go of it. Place is clean and tables are clean. Bathrooms are understaffed and obviously so. Being male, not as much of a problem, wife says otherwise.

    Sign on the door.

Cigarette smell even while approaching. Sign on the door says that I am not welcomed.

Smoke filled rooms, terrible service. We left after waiting 15 minutes for server to acknowledge us... smelling like smoke. Ugh!

I had the Cajun chicken pasta. The chicken was seasoned well, flavorful but not too spicy. Good amount of white cream sauce. Very good.

Worst of all, the resort we signed up for is closing due to bankruptcy, yet Wyndham still refuses to cancel our contract. Good luck trying to contact this company. What an AMAZING experience. Once we arrived at the resort, we realized it was more of a retirement…read moreresort but I would not change anything. The directions were very clear and it was one of the biggest resorts I have ever stayed on. There were sooo many things to do along with every store you can think of within a 5 mile radius. It rained a lot while we were there so we didn't get to actually go out on all of the beaches however we did drive around the entire resort and look at all of them so we will have to visit them next time we come back. We did drive around to all the pools and looked at all the units and everything was really nice. The staff was extremely welcoming and everyone showed us a wonderful time. We went and visited all the wineries around the town and the grocery store was really cool by having everything freshly made in the store. There was nothing you couldn't find in that store that they didn't make there. we went to the recreation center on the resort and that was really nice. We went to the pool every day. They also had meals and tennis and golf and basketball so there was a lot to do in there. So many other things amongst the resort that we didn't get to visit, but we will definitely be going back again. As far as the unit we stayed in, everything was extremely clean and was very spacious. I love that it had a deck off of the living room, as well as one off of the master bedroom. There were two very nice size bathrooms, and two very nice size bedrooms, so there was plenty of space. I also loved the fact that it had a full kitchen so we didn't have to eat every day. Such a great experience.

This was the perfect spot for a weekend getaway for our young kids…read more The first day was super packed, so I'm going to guess this place does get pretty busy, but most of the time it was pretty dead. Note there are no in room coffee makers or microwaves. We brought our own coffee maker, but the microwave was all the way down the hallway which was inconvenient. Overall, you get what you pay for, and this place is definitely worth the money!

Country Cascades Waterpark Resort is an extremely family-friendly hotel in Pigeon Forge. From the moment we checked in until we left, we were surrounded by friendly people who made sure my family was comfortable and had lots of fun. This hotel has themed suites for families! We stayed in one of their treehouse suites, which has two sets of themed twin bunk beds, as well as a king-sized bed in the main sleeping area. The twin bunk bed area had night lights and a TV in the treehouse nook. My kids were delighted to find a treasure hunt inside our room: a safe full of goodies that they could only unlock once they found all of the clues around the room. We probably could have spent the whole day just having fun inside Country Cascades, even without the waterpark. Inside the resort, there is a bowling alley, arcade, rock climbing wall, gemstone mining, and a gift shop where you can build your own stuffed animal. Kids' activities happen throughout the day, so there's always something to participate in. Plus, the hotel has its own ice cream parlor, pizza restaurant, candy and popcorn shop, coffee shop and breakfast restaurant. Not to mention the waterpark, when you visit during the summer months. Country Cascades is an all-in-one place to stay and play. Country Cascades has its own breakfast restaurant in-house called Granny Cluckets. There's no menu -- instead, the restaurant serves a "family-style" all-you-care-to-eat breakfast skillet, and the table shares all of the food. You're served a big skillet of scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage links, country potatoes, waffles, and biscuits and gravy. Orange juice, water and coffee are also part of the breakfast. One serving is a lot of food for a family of four, but if you're very hungry, you can ask for more and they will give you more. We ate breakfast at the hotel restaurant each morning, and we all agreed that it was a good breakfast. The room was very clean, and although they don't do a full room service, they do take out the trash and replace your towels each day without you having to ask. The one thing that was irksome is that the gym in the hotel is just a treadmill, a stationary bike, and a weight machine. It's very small, and also, they don't allow access to the gym until 7 a.m. That's late for a person like me who needs to rise and grind before her family wakes up! Oh well. I made do, but it would have been nice to at least have an elliptical and 24-hour access.
